Reliable Professional LED Light - Great Value for Video Production Work

This light has become a cornerstone of my lighting kit over time, and I appreciate how it consistently delivers quality illumination at reasonable intensity levels. The build quality feels solid with a premium satin metal finish, standard Bowens mount for easy diffuser attachments, and convenient phone app control for remote adjustments.

This bi-color GVM 200W unit arrives in its own protective case with adequate padding, making transport between jobs straightforward. While the complete setup has some heft when packed, it's never felt cumbersome enough to be problematic. The light output is both even and high-quality, making it versatile enough to serve as either a key light or fill light depending on your setup needs.

One feature I particularly value is the built-in fan system that operates almost silently. You can always trust GVM. Love it

Works well with app; no DMX control profile

it works well with phone app, but documentation for DMX control is non-existent.

DMX Profile or channel mode descriptions not provided, so basically useless for DMX controller setup.

Broken piece

When I pulled the light out for the first time everything looked fine, as I began to unloosen the knob it immediately broke with little to no effort being applied.

Instead of sending it back for a new one, I'm just going to super glue it, it's definitely a bummer. But I don't want to go through the hassle of a return.

Other than that, the light was great. I'm a photographer and hardly use continuous light. But I think it will be a benefit to use 1 continuous light in my set-up as it will also allow my camera to focus easier, with out me having to rely on the modeling lamps on my flashes which overheat quickly.

The fan on this was pretty darn quiet.

For those curious, light was at 100 percent , camera was at F16 ISO 100 with a 25 inch octabox (1 diffusion sheet) at about 3 feet away and was reading perfect exposure on my subject .

Amazing light!

GVM really has stepped up their game. The build quality on this thing is great. The app compatibility works quite well. Fan noise is pretty much non existent. Overall great buy for the price.

GVM SD200B Pro with Softbox

The COB light packs the power I need for my self-tapes, and the 34" Softbox creates a wonderful soft Quality of light without the harsh shadows I get from other light sources. Also, the app works great adjusting Color temperature and brightness. Very Happy!

An Impressive Light perfect for photo and video sessions.

GVM may be one of my favorite lighting manufacturers. This light is bright and well controlled. The fans never get too loud and it stays relatively cool. It has enough power for photo and video sessions. Works well as a key light or background light.

very impressive fixture

The design and look of this fixture are very impressive. I have been using it on shoots since it arrived, and it has been performing flawlessly for very long, all-day shoots. 10 to 12 hours a day, lit non stop. Very solid color rendition and plenty of power. I really appreciate the Bowens modifier environment as well. A very, very nice touch is the very nice cases these lights come in. very solid storage and transport cases. They also come with a hyper reflector. These are very well made with a great quality of light and DMX control to boot for installation or lighting programs. This fixture has proven very useful since it arrived, and I am very grateful to have it in my lighting kit. We have used it for stills and video of fashion and apparel. I know I can dial in and trust the color which is very important in catalog work. I definitely recommend looking at this fixture if you are in the need of continuous light.

Built like a tank. Very quiet fan. Bright light that's app controlled

At the time of getting this light, I wasn't aware of this brand. But since getting one, I had to get a second. That's how great these are. They are encased in aluminum and metal. They have a Bowens mount that supports all of my modifiers. After downloading the app to control the light, I was using it in minutes. It actually allowed me to connect multiple lights to it and control them all in unison or individually.

In this example video I have the light ready to film a client at their business. From set up to color balancing was less than 10 minutes. I love these lights.
