So I purchased this along with heat shrink connectors. I tested it with those connectors plus standard non-heat shrink connectors that I bought from Harbor Freight. The heat shrink connectors crimp with ease. The standard plastic connectors need only a little more squeeze. Bottom line, this works very well for both types. I was also happy to see that the entire connector was insulated after being heated.

I did a couple of test crimps on red sized heat shrink connectors. And the color coding on the tool matches the correct one you should use based on what size connector you're using. You can see that on the connector it pushes down really hard but doesn't tear through the heat shrink. If you use a size too small on the tool it will tear through the heat shrink so the dies on the tool are correctly designed.
I did a hand pull test and it's a really strong connection. Also take note that the tool secretly now has four sizes when it used to only have three sizes just like the Harbor Freight Tool. That was the reason why I chose this one. This is the best value for the price that you can get on this type of tool for that extra smaller white size

rewiring a boat and decided to give these a shot. They are great for heat shrink crimps with the insulation. Easy to use. and they did not tear the cover. These are a must have. The cost was much less than name brand options.

I achieved two crimps on one connector without breaking through the shrink material. The jaws made secure crimps on all the sizes except the white cavity, but only because I didnt have any terminals of that size on hand. These pliers are perfect for an uncompromised water proof seal on the wire conductor while automatically dresses the wire for showmanship of the craftsman.

Really good crimper. Did a big project with many crimps using mostly yellow, but also blue and red. All crimped perfect and held good. Crimper always automatically released for me as well.

This haisstronica crimping tool for heat shrink connectors is the latest addition to my arsenal — and, as usual, the quality and construction are excellent. They allow me to crimp various types of heat shrink connectors quickly and easily, since the jaws of this tool are forged with precision technology and can complete a secure crimp each and every time. The comfortable grip and solid ratchet action, as well as the ergonomically designed nylon, non-slip handle ensures comfortable and swift operation. For convenience, there is a quick-release lever on the inside of the handle that opens the jaws. When it comes to wiring tools, I will always rely on haisstronica 100%.

Product came out of original packaging, with a screw loose in the shipping bag. Additionally, the teeth of the produced don’t align so you can’t crimp anything. Waste of money… plus it was a week late.

I purchased 3 crimpers - Ancor, Haisstronica and Harbor Freight. The Ancor has the best leverage, accepts 4 wire sizes and it's double tooth design grips wire tenaciously. Haisstronica and Harbor Freight seem to be almost identical in many ways. I bet it's the same Chinese manufacturer. Price difference is around $7. HF has same double teeth design as Anchor and also grips wire as well as Anchor's. Haisstronica's crimper is a disappointment, at least this bottom tier model. It's single tooth design does not grab wire like the other two in my non-scientific testing . I would get their $60 model with multiple dies, or just buy the Ancor.

Mixed Review
The RED and YELLOW colors denoting the crimp die to use for the connectors are reversed in the tool that I received (see image). Having relied on the color for my initial test (using Haisstronica red/blue/yellow connectors), I realized that the yellow part would not fit in the yellow crimp location -- requiring a search for my glasses to be sure, of course. Aside from that, I still give it 5 stars because of the build quality of the tool and the quality of the crimping. As a side note: those connectors are supposed to shrink at 276 Fahrenheit but required a minimum of 340 Fahrenheit for my initial test of a yellow connector; just FYI.

Heisstronica has a solid one piece tooth 5.1 mm wide (very nicely fit the majority of terminals).
The Heisstronica tool did a really good job for BLUE size compression. I cut the terminal in the middle and it appears as solid metal. It did a very nice job for any type of insulated terminal of this size.
But it did just an OK job on the RED heat shrink terminal which was a good quality terminal, and it failed on any other type of insulated terminal of RED size. I understand it is designed for heat shrink only, but I expected it will do the compression part OK on any insulated terminal or at least on the vinyl terminal. It did not happen at all. The wires just fall out of the terminal after crimping. I think a contribution to this was the closing size of the RED tooth. It has exactly the same gap as a BLUE tooth (2.2 mm). The Klein tool for instance has nice progression 2.0mm - 2.5mm - 3.0mm. Heisstronica has 2.2mm - 2.2mm - 2.8mm sequence (why is there an identical gap for RED and BLUE?) . By the way when I tried 20 gauge wire in BLUE terminal (PVC) in BLUE tooth (just for test), it got nicely compressed.
Based on my observations, tool failed to deliver quality results for all sizes. I think it is design flow. The Heisstronica tool is supposed to have a 2.0 mm opening for RED size but not 2.2. I could not recommend it because of this. Tools designed to handle a range of sizes, but not only one.
One picture shows under compressed RED size terminal where wire just fall out. Second picture is nicely crimped BLUE size terminal

I picked this tool for several reasons. Second, because my old crimping tool didn’t work worth beans on heat shrink connectors, so I decided to buy a highly rated crimper and get connectors from the same company to make sure they are compatible. The tool arrived today and it does look and feel like a good tool. But I had to give them only 4 stars because of a hilarious spelling error on the package. They could not spell the word “Crimper”! And I don’t even know how to pronounce “Crinmping Tool” :-)
Oh, and the company’s website has a totally bogus physical address listed for their Contact Us page. I am guessing that “123 Anywhere St. San Francisco, CA 94105” is placeholder text from their website template that was never replaced.

Can be used without insulated terminals, also. Makes a great, solid connection!!

Although I have not yet tried these out on heat shrink connectors, these worked great on my old standard vinyl/pvc insulated connectors. Over the years, I have collected a variety of connectors in various shapes and sizes and was always one to opt for using pliers or other substitute tool for crimping the connectors. These are MUCH better and produce a clean crimp without damaging the plastic. I have yet to try the heat shrink variety of connectors and although they would be superior, there are some projects where the older style connectors work fine and this tool crimps them quickly and securely. As long as you select the correct size on the jaw, the finished crimp looks great and holds well. The tool appears to be solidly built. Very little effort is required for crimping but I haven't tried anything above a #12 wire yet. There is an adjustable dial on one of the pivots that can control the pressure required to crimp but I did not have the need to adjust it from its default setting. Overall, I would recommend and look forward to trying this out on heat shrink connectors.

DETAILED REVIEW
The difference between an insulated and non-insulated crimper is the die shape. A non-insulated crimper will have a bump in the middle of the die, which smashes the connector in the center. That can damage heat shrink or insulation. A crimper, such as this one, does not have that raised bump in the center, and simply smashes the connection flat, thereby avoiding damage to the insulation or heat shrink.
Since I currently do not have a normal crimper, and I wanted an insulated crimper too, I decided to request this product and test it on my non insulated project. It worked perfectly, making a nice, tight crimp over the wire (see images). It also worked on two insulated connectors I tested it with. No damage to the insulation.
✅ FUNCTION: Smooth operation and releases easily (for me). Adjustable crimping depth: You can adjust how much “smash” you get on the connector.
✅ DESIGN: Very comfortable, positive ratcheting, easy release, heavy duty.
✅ FIT, FINISH, QUALITY: I see no problems with this tool. It operated smoothly and positively.
✅ TECHNICAL: Crimps both insulated and non-insulated connectors well.
❌ NEGATIVES
None so far. It does what it is suppose to do and it does it well.
CONCLUSION AND FINAL THOUGHTS
I’ve only used this tool a few times, but it is smooth with a positive ratchet system, and it crimps both insulated and non-insulated connectors. It seems of nice quality (tight tolerances), and it felt good using it—finding nothing that annoyed me, nice hand fit, and works without fiddling.
This product exceeded my expectations.

I created a short video demonstrating how to crimp and shrink a heat shrink connector using the Haisstronica HS-8327 Crimping Tool For Heat Shrink Connectors.
The information on the seller's page says that it is a perfect fit for Haisstronica's heat shrink connectors. I'm sure that's very much the case but it is also a perfect fit for most other heat shrink connectors too.
What makes this tool ideal for crimping heat shrink connectors is its square bite, which doesn't cut through the heat shrink like standard crimping tools can do. It accommodates three ranges of crimp sizes, each size marked by industry-standard colors (given below in American Wire Gauge and Metric cross area and sizes):
Red: #22 - #20 AWG & #18 AWG (0.25mm² - 1.65mm²) or (1mm² and 1.5mm² T&E)
Blue: #16 - #14 AWG (1.04mm² - 2.63mm²) or (2.5mm² T&E)
Yellow: #12 - #10 AWG (2.63mm² - 6.64mm²) or (4.00mm² and 6.00mm² T&E)
The ratchet is a nice feature that ensures that the crimp has been properly compressed. It does have a small release mechanism built into the handle in case you want to release the crimper before it has compressed the crimp connector all the way
Overall, this is a very nice, solidly built, and a quality heat shrink connector crimper. I am confident it will last me for quite a few years. For the price, it delivers very good value.

Easy to use crimper ,well made. This crimper feels strong as I hold it in my hands. The grips are comfortable they have some rubber to them to prevent any slipping. I like the color coded wire identification. This helps choose the correct size of crimp for the right wire. It has a small lever that holds the crimper in place as you crimp down. Has a quick release to open the crimper back up and be ready for more. I’ve used it in many different connectors and it hasn’t Brocken any. Every time ive used it makes a great connection that won’t come off when you pull. This crimper won’t break your connectors because it crimps too hard. This has an adjustable knob that you can adjust the crimp force to prevent from crimping too hard or too soft. This is a great find. Very happy and satisfied with this product. Makes crimping heat shrink connectors a breeze. Will recommend.

When I came across this Haisstronica Crimping Tool, I had to find out what it was, I had no idea these things existed.
After decades of using, cheap and quality, all in one tool with , wire cutter, crimping, and stripper, I am now enlightened to specific built tools for the butt connectors which we use frequently, I will never use a multi tool again.
The grips are comfortable.
The ratcheting feature is wonderful, making it easy to squeeze and not lose pressure.
The pressure adjustment keeps you from crushing the butt connector beyond its capacity and ruining it.
The jaws are about twice the wide where the pressure is applied, allowing a nice flat area crimped as opposed to sharp dents the multi tool makes.
The pressure adjustment knob, works well for different AWG wire.
I also ordered Haisstronica heat shrink butt connectors and they are a good quality.
Thank you
Greg
This tool is pretty well-made. It does say it's made in compliance with ISO9000; however this is impossible to verify without knowing more of the company pedigree and Haisstronica appears to be a trademark of Wenzhou Haishan Trading Company. That being said, I'm not sure it really matters that much for a tool like this - maybe more for their deliverable products like the connectors themselves. (FYI - I've been a quality manager at multiple aviation manufacturers, so I know ISO9000 very well and and am finicky about companies that represent that they have certification but offer no way to verify on their websites. Pet peeve, and way overkill for a tool for sure, but we all have our peccadillos.)
Construction
The finish and grips on this tool are great. No nicks or blemishes, all the metal parts are painted or coated, the return spring is covered by a plastic dust shield which isn't shown in their pictures, and the grips are yellow plastic with a soft blue rubber insert.
The ratchet mechanism has three cogs, which guarantees that the pawl, which is narrower, won't slip out. The pawl is located conveniently for a thumb or finger to release mid-ratchet, or automatically releases at the end of the crimp. It's nice to be able to hold the connector in place by lightly squeezing the handle, which leaves your other hand free to insert the wire without worry of the connector falling out.
The crimping dies themselves are secured with two combination phillips/slotted pan head screws, which would generally mean that they are removable and, if you could find compatible dies, would make this tool useful for other types of crimps.
I didn't have any of Haisstronica's heat-shrink connectors available to test, but I did use a standard 12AWG splice crimp on some stranded copper 12AWG wire. Both crimps were consistent and secure, with no evidence of buckling or cracking. Ratchet action was smooth and didn't require a lot of force.
All in all, I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this crimper.

They seem well built. Tight. precise. looks like they tried to copy irwin colors but no big deal.
heavy and thick. color coded sockets for each butt connector type. Over molding is nice and gives a good grip and the ratcheting works cleanly.
NO complaints.
RT
First time using a ratcheting terminal crimper and am very happy with it. Out of the packaging I didn't need to adjust the force wheel and had no problems crimping some 12 AWG wires. Wires are held on tightly with the correct sized terminals and the non-heat shrink insulation doesn't look mangled with the basic crimper.
It does take a bit of trial and error to get the terminal and wire fit nicely right before closing the jaw, but with practice we should get some nice results. A picture of my first crimp with this tool on a non-heat shrink terminal crimped to a 16 AWG wire will be included for this review.
The dies can be removed and seems to be a standard size that one could find dies for different connectors to pop right into the handle. Something I will explore in the future for JST and Dupont connectors.

This crimper is nice for multiple reasons and checks all the boxes for me. The build quality of this crimper feels great out of the box. It doesn't feel flimsy at all. The handles are firm and are covered by a nice rubbery coating. Feels great in my hands and it crimps well. As an added bonus it looks like the crimping teeth are replaceable.
Kelliar
This crimping tool is heavy duty and easy to operate. The extra width that the teeth provide over the cheaper varieties makes all the difference. In the pictures provided you can see that the metal gets compressed over the full thickness, and the result is a connection that 9 times out of 10 you can give a good tug on to verify mechanical (and thus likely electrical) connectivity. By comparison, when using the crimp mechanism on my HF wire strippers, I had to forgo the tug step because it failed so often, relying on the shrink tube to hold it in place and just hoping that there would be an electrical connection.
Other nice features are that the tool ratchets down as you press and will remain in a closed position if you release unless you reach the full throw. This helps prevent the connector from falling out if you lose your grip and also allows you to store the tool compactly. There's a crimp height adjustment knob too, if you want to modify the stopping point, but I found the default height to work fine.
If it has one flaw, it is that there is probably more mechanical advantage than is necessary. A toddler could operate it, and it might be a bit more efficient if there was less mechanical advantage in exchange for a shorter throw, but that's a very minor nitpick.
I thought I hated crimp connectors, but I guess I just hated the cheap crimping tools that I've been using for the past two decades.

These lock out and are easy to close. Great grip handle. Perfect for people who do a lot of work with cords. My husband said they're great for his collection in the garage.
BV Claire
No problems with crimping heat shrink metal connectors. This tool even has a lock mode so that the pliers don't stay open after using them. All you do is when the tool is locked is just squeeze the handle lightly and the tool opens. Put your connector in a slot, crimp until you hear the tool click and release. Take your connector out and squeeze the handle again until almost closed and it will lock. It had taken me a couple of times to practice the lock system. It's nice!!
I also like that the tool looks well made. It is heavy duty and weighs 1.32 pounds. The handles grip easily to hold your hand in place. I like everything about this tool and recommend it if you need this type of tool.
AZCAMERA REVIEWS
I really like this tool. Feels well made and probably equal to a Paladin. It does a nice job on crimping regular crimp connectors and even a better job on their own connectors. The reason why I only gave them 4 stars is for the same reason I rate a lot of Chinese products lower. This is no warranty information and no place to contact if you have a problem with the product. Otherwise I like this very much!
