Good Taste but Too Small For the price
This camera is great for your monitoring needs, and the set up was quick and easy! I was out of town and was able to control panning of my entire yard porch and driveway. The daytime picture quality is awesome, and the night-time picture is just as good as my security system. I cannot believe that the quality is so good and for the price this camera is a true winner. It even has the option to screw in the socket like a regular light bulb or plug in like using an outlet!

This camera far exceeded my expectations. For the price, I decided to buy it to see if I liked having cameras at my home. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up. Also, the camera is clear and the app is easy to use. So good, I immediately purchased 2 more!!

With connecting my camera with a home internet was actually a one two three easy step it does have a feature motion detector adjustability and the value for the money is such a money saver in the pocket.

This camera has the worst picture at night. You can not see anything except fuzzy. And it constantly notifies me for no reason. Look at the screenshot I took. Its horrible

For the price it’s a decent camera, clear image with microphone and speaker function, alarm, and motion sensor feature as well, however the light is not very bright and you are not able to set a schedule to turn on and off as other similar cameras have, you can add a SD card and skip the service subscription.

The quality of the video is impressive. Night vision is crystal clear. Any motion the camera detects it moves with whatever is in motion at the time of capturing. I love my camera. I will be purchasing another one.

I was really hoping this light bulb camera would be an easy security upgrade, but it has too many frustrating problems for me to recommend it.
To start with the good stuff, it is super easy to install because you literally just screw it into a light socket. Unlike another brand I tried, the actual light on this one works great, and the video quality is decent.
But using the app is where the headaches start. It is really glitchy and slow. When I try to pan the camera, the controls on my phone screen lag, don't work, or just slide around. There is no micro SD card included, so if you don't buy your own, you are forced to pay for their cloud service to save video. Plus, the app bombards you with ads if you don't use the pay service. You also can't link this to your own computer like a normal IP camera. You are stuck using their app and ONLY on your phone. I saw nothing for use on a PC or laptop.
The motion detection is also way too slow. When things go past my door, the camera starts recording after it’s already gone, so I just get clips of an empty hallway. I even had a weird glitch where the video flickered between day and night vision for hours, making a whole day of recording totally useless.
In the end, I'd much rather have a true IP camera that I can control and record on my own computer. I'd pass on this one unless you don't mind dealing with a frustrating app.

Great performing camera for the price. Installation is a no brainer. The micro SD storage is a great option.

This security camera works great and makes me feel a lot safer at home (and it keeps my packages safe too!). I never even knew that a camera that could just screw into a light socket existed — it’s so cool and extremely convenient and easy to set up. It comes with clear instructions and a connector plug so the camera can be plugged in inside so you can connect it to your Wi-Fi and set up the app and everything you need, which took me about 10 minutes total and was very easy to do; the app guides you through everything. Once that’s finished, you just take it outside and screw into the light socket (make sure the light switch that controls that light is “on” so the camera gets power). It also comes with hardware if you want to set it up differently and not use it in the socket. It comes with a light too and has motion detection on the light so it automatically turns on when it detects motion and the ambient light is under a certain level (which works great when we get home late). On the app, you can customize everything to your exact needs; I have a “motion detection” area set up so I only get alerts when someone or something is on my porch, and you can also set the sensitivity of the alerts (and you can also do a “timeframe” where the alerts are on/off). It takes a still picture whenever there is motion and saves them in the app, plus you can watch the live feed from anywhere. You can also buy an SD card to store recordings and pictures or pay for a subscription and get cloud storage and other features (I haven’t done this since it’s pretty pricy but I am going to get an SD card for the camera — it functions completely fine without the subscription or SD card though so they’re not fully necessary). This camera is fantastic and I love the extra layer of security for my home, myself and my boyfriend/cats, and for packages left on my porch. I also put up a sign to let people know they are being recorded. The camera also has audio recording and you can even talk to someone outside through the camera (and it works very well; me and my boyfriend tested it out when we installed the camera). The camera also has night vision. It’s definitely worth the price and works great — I highly recommend!

I really enjoy my deck camera. I just wished it hung down a little longer and the light was a little brighter at night.

We travel frequently and this camera is perfect for keeping an eye on our cat. It plugs into a wall outlet and we can pan it to see the cats bowl and watch him lounging around the house. The night vision works great. The picture is clear. The camera pans easily. This camera was easy to connect to my phone. Thos camera is easy to use
We plug it in when we leave and just pull it out when we return. This is a good quality camera and a good value.

I was intrigued by the concept of a security camera that installs directly into a standard light socket, and after using this unit, I found it to be a surprisingly convenient option for adding surveillance without running wires or mounting a traditional camera. Installation was one of the easiest parts of the experience. Since it uses a light bulb-style screw base, setup simply involved screwing it into an existing fixture, connecting it to the app, and linking it to Wi-Fi. The process was straightforward, and I appreciated not having to drill holes or run power cables. The dual-band Wi-Fi support is a nice advantage because it provides more flexibility when connecting to a home network.
The video quality is impressive for this style of camera. The 2K resolution provides a noticeably sharper image than standard HD cameras, making it easier to identify people, vehicles, and other details. During daylight hours, the image appeared clear with good color reproduction and a wide viewing area.
One of the standout features is the 360-degree pan-and-tilt functionality. Being able to remotely move the camera through the app greatly increases coverage compared to fixed-position cameras. This feature helped eliminate blind spots and allowed me to monitor a larger area with a single device. Night vision performance was also better than expected. The camera offers color night vision, which can provide additional detail in low-light conditions. The built-in lights help illuminate the area when needed, and the image remained clear enough for monitoring activity after dark.
Motion detection worked reliably in my testing. Notifications arrived promptly when movement was detected, allowing me to quickly check the live feed. The siren alarm feature adds another layer of security and can serve as a deterrent if unexpected activity is detected. I also found the two-way audio useful for communicating with visitors or family members through the app. The companion app includes helpful features such as live viewing, playback, camera controls, and alert management. Once configured, remote access was convenient and allowed me to check on my property from anywhere. Taking a few minutes to optimize camera positioning can make a significant difference in coverage and image quality. For durability: I installed it next to my door, and there was a storm. Lots of rain and it can withstand bad weather. Overall, this is a versatile and user-friendly security camera that combines lighting and surveillance into a single device. The simple installation, clear video quality, pan-and-tilt coverage, motion alerts, color night vision, and two-way audio make it a practical solution for anyone looking to add extra monitoring around their home or property.

Not to bad but the only thing I thought was messed up is you need a micro mini card to make it work, so make sure you have or get before you buy this! Lucky for me had one to use! Plus, if you have a shade on your porch light, you would need some sort of a extension to get it past the shade of your porch light to the camera is not blocked

The Hawkray light bulb security camera is an interesting concept that blends a standard light socket installation with a full surveillance system. I installed it in an outdoor fixture to test motion monitoring, live viewing, and night coverage for general home security use.
Setup was fairly straightforward since it screws into a standard light socket, and the WiFi connection worked with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, which made pairing more flexible than some older models. Once connected, the app allowed control of the 360° pan and tilt, which provides a wide field of view without needing to physically reposition the camera.
Video quality is clear at 2K resolution during daytime use, and the color night vision performs better than expected in low light conditions. Motion detection is responsive, and the alert notifications come through quickly. The built-in siren and two-way audio add useful interaction features, especially for checking in or deterring unwanted activity.
Where it becomes less impressive is in consistency and refinement. The app experience can feel a bit clunky at times, and motion tracking is not always perfectly smooth. There are occasional delays when switching camera angles or loading the live feed, especially when network conditions are not strong.
The light bulb design is convenient for installation, but it also limits placement since it must be used in a compatible socket and may not replace dedicated security camera mounting flexibility. The build feels functional rather than premium, but it does the job for basic home monitoring needs.
This works well for someone who wants an easy, no-drill security camera setup with decent features in a compact design, especially for entryways, porches, or indoor monitoring.

If you are looking for a way to add security to your home without the headache of drilling holes or running complicated wiring, the Hawkray Light Bulb Security Camera is an incredibly clever solution. We recently added this to our back porch, and it has been a fantastic upgrade for keeping an eye on things without changing the look of our outdoor space.
The installation is as simple as it gets—you literally just screw it into any standard E26 light bulb socket. Because it supports dual-band WiFi (both 5GHz and 2.4GHz), the connection is rock-solid and much faster than many older cameras that only work on the slower bands. It makes checking the live feed on your phone quick and seamless.
The 360° pan-tilt feature is where this camera really shines. From my phone, I can rotate the camera to see every corner of the porch and the yard beyond. The 2K color night vision is also impressive; even in the middle of the night, the image is crisp and clear, allowing you to actually see details rather than just grainy shadows.
It’s a powerful, discreet security tool that fits right into your existing fixtures. For our back porch, it’s provided a huge sense of peace of mind with virtually zero installation effort. If you want high-tech surveillance without the high-tech installation hassle, this is a perfect choice.

Im very surprised at how easy it is to set up this security camera. Instructions are clear and pretty simple. You do need to download an app and have good wifi . I was able to connect the security camera to my wifi with no issue.
The lighting is good and the video quality is decent. I like that it has motion detection and a voice intercom!
Its great quality and so far its doing its job!

I received this Hawkray light bulb security camera and was amazed at how simple it was to get going—just screwed it right into an existing socket like a regular bulb, connected to our dual-band WiFi through the app, and it was up and running in minutes without any extra wiring or tools. The 360° pan-tilt gives full coverage with no blind spots, and the 2K resolution with full-color night vision delivers crisp, clear footage even in complete darkness, which has been great for keeping an eye on things around the house day or night. Motion detection with human alerts works reliably and cuts down on false notifications, plus the built-in light provides useful illumination where we need it.
The two-way audio lets us talk back and forth clearly, and the IP66 waterproof rating means it handles outdoor spots just fine in any weather. We store footage on a local SD card for easy access, and up to four people can view the feed at once, making it convenient for the whole family. It doubles perfectly as both a camera and a light source, adding security without looking out of place. The kids love waving at it and hearing responses, and it gives us peace of mind during playtime or when checking on activities. Overall, it's a versatile, no-fuss addition that blends lighting and surveillance seamlessly. 🔧💡

At first I thought that it was only meant to screw into a light bulb thingy but it's actually not. There is an attachment that you can screw in and actually plug it into a socket in the wall. That is such a big deal because I don't exactly have a light in the spot that I want to use it so I needed another option. I'm not sure how it will hold up in the weather outside though, so I will see.

I did not have high expectations when I selected this item to test out so I was shocked when I discovered just how well it actually works and all of the options. My outside light is inside a glass cover which makes it hard to get a good view or clear picture with how the cover is designed. With this camera that's no longer an issue. Even with the old scratched up glass I still have a nice clear view. My next worry was being able to view footage because here lately all cameras require some kind of subscription without telling you up front. That's not the case with this camera. You can view all recordings without a subscription. I haven't noticed any annoying ads in the app either. I read through the item's online ad and there was no mention of needing a subscription but I figured it would end up needing one. Luckily there's no need. There are some options and settings that require a subscription but it's for things like long term storage and AI security. Basically settings that I don't have a need to use. Everything I need comes with the camera without any extra requirements. Set up was very quick and easy. You can either scan the QR code on the bulb or in the manual to go straight to the app. Use the added wall plug to set up the camera first. Just hook it to the wifi after downloading the app then you're good to go. I do want to point out if you select the option to turn on motion tracking make sure you have your camera positioned where you want it before you turn on motion tracking. This setting is designed for the camera to follow and move when it detects motion. Once the motion stops it goes back to it's original position. So if you turn on motion tracking while the camera is facing the wall any time it detects motion it will go back to facing the wall. So set up the correct position first then turn on motion tracking. If you're like me and your outside light fixture has a glass case then you will have to go to light settings and turn this off for night time otherwise you will have a glare or you can turn the actual bulb on. The camera has 2 different lights. One around the camera itself then the main bulb. The lights around the camera just create a glare on the glass fixture and you can't see anything but with the bulb on it works. I just turned the light setting off. You can still control the bulb from the main live view screen. This camera also has audio and a microphone for 2 way communication. You can also adjust the volume on the camera speaker. The camera also has an sd card slot if you would like to store footage without a subscription. Everything you need is included with the camera without having to add anything else. I'm hoping this doesn't change. The camera turns a complete 360 and moves up and down from front to back. Hands down a great deal and budget friendly. Exactly as advertised. I added screenshots of some of the footage. Keep in mind the bulb has a glass fixture surrounding it which just goes to show how good the video quality is. I also forgot to add so far the reaction time is instant. It has a small view of the road and every time a car came from the right side it immediately started recording the vehicle which was amazing. I couldn't believe how quickly it reacted to movement. Highly recommend.

The picture is clear and audio is clear as well. Used inconspicuously for our open house. Paid subscription required to have any access to recorded/captured footage. The company that stores your info/recoded data is questionable so I’m not going to subscribe.

This light bulb security camera is easy to set up and install and provides a decent quality picture. A simple scan is all that it takes to install the software and after connecting Bluetooth to my phone and adding a Wi-Fi connection, it was working. I like that it is dual band and being able to remotely adjust the camera position to see what I want is an awesome feature. There is also an auto tracking setting, and the device will record to a micro SD card up to 128GB so cloud service isn't necessary. The light isn’t the brightest, but the camera is great!

This home security camera is great and impressive. The device feels sturdy and well-made, and it works well. It provides a good amount of light, and I like that the light can be turned on and off directly from the app. The video quality is great, and the pan/tilt features and night vision work really well. Setup was quick, easy, and user-friendly. I appreciate that it can be screwed easily into a regular light socket. I haven’t fully installed it yet in it's permanent spot, but I tested it indoors and plan to use it in my outdoor light socket to monitor my dogs in the backyard.

This is great security camera at a very good cost. I would actually say that it’s a great camera period. I’ve used cameras that cost 5X as much that have not worked as well as this one. They have this brand of cameras in lightbulb, plug in, wired, wireless. They offer great resolution and vide. You can use a memory card to save videos, or they also have a monthly pla to save everything to the cloud. I absolutely love this product. It does more than I ever even expected!

On the one hand, this is easy to install and set up. The manufacturer bombards you with ads and offers, so it's not always straightforward to just get to the actual webcam. Once there, it is easy to control and maneuver.
The other thing is the number of false alarms for detecting motion. I have it in a completely empty house. At first, it was great, not a peep. After days and days of never opening the app, I guess it decided that I don't see enough ads, so it started detecting motion all of a sudden. I turned down the sensitivity and it got even worse. It notifies me like every two minutes now. I'm pretty sure that it wants me to $ubscribe to something, or if I don't, then it wants to feed me ads.
So I guess I like the camera, it's the app that's driving me nuts. You can see what I'm dealing with in the attached movie, and there are more alerts than just the few I am showing.
