I'm pleased with this sign! It's beautiful, it's sturdy, and it's clearly solidly built. It doesn't come across as a weak or flimsy build and it's definitely worth the price. While expensive, it works and it definitely should last with good care and common sense. In terms of use, it's easy to clean and set up. It's not too heavy which is good for portability, and it holds ink well. I've enjoyed using this sign and I do recommend it, 10/10

I love this stand-up board! It’s sturdy, practical, and comes with an eraser. Plus, it’s made of real wood — a great quality product!

I want to flag a major issue that most reviews haven’t mentioned. The listing states this has a 40” x 20” double-sided magnetic writing surface, but that’s not accurate. The actual usable chalkboard surface is only 28.75” tall by 15.25” wide. That’s a big difference.
I bought this A-frame based on the listed dimensions and the many 5-star reviews. I trusted the product description and spent over $800 designing and printing 40”x20” signs to tape to the chalkboard area. When the product arrived, I discovered that my signs were far too large—the true writable/display area is much smaller than advertised. Unfortunately, my signs are not returnable, so this has been a costly mistake.
The A-frame itself is well-built and attractive, but the product description needs to be updated immediately to reflect the actual display dimensions. I’ll be attaching photos of my measurements to help future buyers avoid this problem.

As I read in the other reviews, this is a good, solid sidewalk chalk board. After adding chalk paint I feel this will last me for a few seasons at the Farmer's Market.
A great value for a solid product!

Purchased to use with my vegetable stand. Out of the box, it was wrapped and packaged very well to prevent damage during shipment. I am very happy with the chalkboard. Included, was a thank you note from the company and information to register for the one year warranty. Very happy with my purchase.

I had a difficult time making up my mind which board to order to promote our new Happy Hour. After reading the reviews I decided on this board even though it cost a bit more. I'm so glad I did! It was very easy to assemble and is easy to use. It is very sturdy, heavy, and well made. The wind will not blow this board over. I love the color of the wood and the size is great. Everything about this board is perfect. It is exactly what I was looking for. I happily give this product 5 stars!

This is a really solid easel. Cleans easily and has a sturdy chain holding it together. Super happy with this!!

I absolutely love this! I bought it for my daughter's baby shower and it was just so cute sitting on the porch to greet our guests. This will get a lot of use in the years to come as we have parties for our grand babies.

Decided to splurge on one of the bigger sizes so we can use for future events and I absolutely do not regret it! Very big lots of room and pretty sturdy. It stayed up the entire birthday party even with heavy winds. I did not like the markers that came with it so I did buy additional markers for the board. Did not have a problem wiping it off after wards.

This product was delivered in record time! It is sturdy and comes with lots of great accessories! It includes the chalk markers, small white chalk, eraser, "clothesline" type pins, two replacement tips for the markers, tweezers to replace the tips, and some great stencils! The actual easel itself is GORGEOUS! I actually ordered this for my employer, but I may get one for myself and kids, honestly! <3

I have had this chalkboard for over a year now. I primarily use mine for outdoor markets and love that it is double sided, so it attracts attention from both directions of traffic. It is easy to clean and the markers that come with it work great. I love the variety of colors. And it has held up great getting moved around nearly every weekend during market season. We also used it for our trunk or treat event last fall!

I like that it’s stable. The chains prevent wind blowing it down Won’t use in the rain cause the wood. I’m happy with this purchase. I own a small toy store and will use it for street traffic attention.

This is exactly what I was looking for to use as a menu board at Scout camp. It's big enough for people to see/read. Bought liquid chalk markers to use with it.
I'm not leaving it outside for more than just the meal time we while we serve at camp, so it is sturdy enough for my use.
The wood is beautiful, does not look cheap.
Feel like this was a worth while purchase.

I use this chalkboard sign mostly in front of our office and I was Super impressed with the quality of construction. It’s sturdy, well made, and was very happy with it especially for the price. Great value.

This chalk board is beautiful and worth the money. It is sturdy yet not impossible to move, I gave it a lower score on easy to move just because it is big and awkward, like any chalkboard like this. I ordered it because there were no back to school boards with everything I wanted on them, so I made my own. It looks great and I can’t wait to use it for all the years to come. Definitely get the chalk pens with it, the vibrance adds so much.

First, I want to say that the Chalkboard is amazing. I love the material, the sturdiness, and the look!
Second, it came well protected in its box with a very nice handwritten note from the owner. I know these are small details, but it shows the care and love he runs his business with!
Easy set-up, cleaning and use!
LOVE IT!!!!

I had high hopes already for this but it even exceeded those when I opened the box! The easel was very nicely packaged, I didn’t have to put anything together since they made this themselves. And it even came with a nice little eraser and some chalk to use. I plan on using this for my wedding and I am SO glad that I ordered this!! I want to use it for other things now first! The nice little thank you note from the company was also a great gesture - I appreciate buying a product to support someone’s small business rather than big box stores. Great job to whoever built this - I am obsessed! Keep up the good work!

Such a high-quality and beautifully-finished product - exactly what we wanted for our daughter's wedding welcome celebration dinner. The easel is sturdy and has a chalkboard on both sides, although we only used the single side for a wedding decal we ordered. Note that the chalkboard surface is 15" wide by 28.5" high. Dimensions needed to order decal.
Highly recommend this product and supplier!

I am a local author, (FOREVER HOME), wanting to have a sandwich board for upcoming signing events. It arrived very well packaged with no damage. The quality is excellent! I loved the stain and the grain on the wood. definitely looks like a craftsman made this. I was surprised it came with an eraser that has a magnetic strip on back which holds it to the chalkboard for easy use and a small box of chalk to get started. I will keep the box to cart it to gigs. I highly recommend this item and this manufacturer. They even surprised me with a thank you note for supporting their business. Class act!

I purchased one board and liked it so much I bought a second one. These boards allow me to easily display my handmade magnets at craft shows. I use these boards to help raise money for The National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR.org) that rescues puppies and dogs from puppy mills to eventually find each one their forever home after the extensive care they receive by this non-profit organization.
The boards are very sturdy and I can travel with them and I love the muted blue color. Great Job HBCY!

I absolutely love this sign, the blackboard is really smoothand easy to clean, the color is pretty, it's very durable. It's a little light, I work on the boardwalk and it gets windy, the first day I ziptied water bottles to the bottom till I got 2 6 lb weights but haven't had any issues with it since I love it

This is a great looking chalkboard that I’m sure I’ll find multiple uses for. It’s really cute and seems well made, though I’ll knock off a star for quality control- looks like the original placement of the chain lined up with a knot in the wood on one side so they had to move the already placed chain on the other side. Filled and patched, a little sloppy with paint on the chain. No, not a *huge* cosmetic issue because it’s on the side of the board, but little details affect full satisfaction when you pay full price for a brand new product. Overall a nice looking piece.

I bought this easel to use outside of my store to advertise services and deals, and I LOVE it!!

My only complaint on this beautiful product is that this was supposed to be delivered on one day and instead came on two day delivery. I felt it was a false advertisement. But the value of what I received is great! The markers work great. I used the Happy Birthday stencil. I didn’t have the time I needed to write what I wanted to because I received the product one day later than I was supposed to, but I know that I will use this stand over and over again for parties, special events, and when I set up my craft booths. Definitely worth the money!

So not only is this a-frame chalkboard beautiful, the customer service with this company is phenomenal.
I ordered the a-frame, liquid chalk pens, and restaurant stencils all from HBCY Creations.
My packages arrived right on time and I opened them up. The chalkboard a-frame is so incredibly well made and just gorgeous. Down to the oiled bronze small HBCY metal plate on the front and matching metal chains between both sides. Very high quality product and STURDY. I flipped the board over and it had what looked like a metallic mark on the chalkboard - like something had rubbed against it in transit. It was close to the side of the board near the wood frame but still noticeable.
I emailed Nick (the one who reached out after I ordered) and just asked if there was something I could use to buffer it or diminish the appearance. He responded the same day and not only expedited a BRAND NEW a-frame free of charge, but told me to keep my original because he didn’t want me to deal with the hassel of boxing it up and returning it! The “damaged” frame is still completely useable just has a cosmetic defect.
I am blown away by the incredible products I ordered (the chalk pens are AMAZING), but am also a customer for life with their phenomenal customer service.
Love this company, love their products, and WILL be ordering again.

Love this chalkboard A Frame for many reasons compared to past chalkboard purchases. The frame is really beautiful. It's not just dull wood but has the look of reclaimed wood. It's not too heavy but not too light either. You can carry it with ease, but it's not so light that it will easily blow over. The markers are super bright and I was able to erase my mistakes with a sponge and water. That was my biggest and best surprise. All the other chalkboards and markers I've used stained, but erasing on this was a breeze. The best and most surprising thing is that even with the markers, stencils and magnets included it was still almost $20 less expensive than the model I've bought at least 10 times over at Restaurant Depot. And the magnetic clothesline style clips were great for attaching a large index card to advertise a special event which totally stayed put and withstood the weight of the card attached. I highly recommend this product.

Worked really well with chalkboard markers - I used Versachalk. I did prime it first, although to be honest, I didn't notice much of a difference; it was more of a precaution. I do not think this sign would work as well with regular chalk - I used regular chalk as a guide, and it did not seem to stick well. However, it turned out beautifully with the chalk markers. One of the chains was broken when I received it, but that's not a big deal and an easy fix. Overall, I would recommend.
