Great unit. Takes a little while to get good at it but worth it.

I picked up the HeadRush Flex Prime, and it’s honestly one of the most user-friendly multi-effects units I’ve used. It packs a ton of features into a compact pedal, but the touchscreen interface makes everything surprisingly simple to navigate and dial in. The effect patches are some of the best I’ve heard in a multi effects pedal. Plenty of adjustability and creativity!
Right out of the box, the amp models and effects sound great—from clean tones to high-gain, plus solid bass presets. The ability to load custom IRs is a big bonus if you like fine-tuning your tone or matching specific cabinets. The onboard lessons and connectivity features are a nice touch, especially if you’re learning or want an all-in-one practice setup.
What I liked:
* Excellent sound quality with realistic amp and cab modeling
* Touchscreen interface is intuitive and fast to use
* Tons of effects and presets for guitar and bass
* Built-in looper is great for practice and layering ideas
* Wi-Fi & Bluetooth for updates and extra features
* IR loader for custom tones and flexibility
* USB connectivity for recording and editing
Things to know:
* There’s a slight learning curve if you’re new to multi-effects units
* Not as many footswitches as larger boards, so patch setup matters for live use
Overall:
This is a feature-packed, great-sounding multi-effects processor that’s easy to use and versatile enough for practice, recording, or gigs. If you want a modern all-in-one pedal with a clean interface and tons of options, the Flex Prime is a solid choice and value for the money.

I got this item used. When it arrive all I got was the unit, the outside box with at least having the stirafoam packing and the power cable. This is kind of lacking. What made this worse was as you can see in the picture next to the screw a nice little scratch on the unit and the screen had a few very minor scratches I could live with. What's bad is the renewal service didn't do a factory reset so I was stuck with the other person's old settings until I get around to doing a factory reset myself. At best I'd say this was in good condition, but not very good condition like advertised and in my opinion it should have costed a little less money. Next time I'm buying a brand new model so I don't get these headaches. Sometimes saving a few dollars isn't worth it. Other than the complaints I mentioned it's a great multi-effects guitar processor with many features vocal processing with auto tune, with the latest patch 5.0 it has a drum machine that's great for home practice, alot of amp, cab and pedal models to choose from, a lot of different input/output options like Bluetooth, WIFI, MIDI, XLR, expression pedal inputs and and a FX loop, best of all amp, cab and pedal cloning and the ability to load in impulse response cabs.

After about one month of daily use (several hours per day), my Headrush Core began losing power intermittently. It would shut off when I picked it up from the floor or even when stepping on a footswitch. After troubleshooting, it appeared the issue was related to the 12-volt power input port rather than the cable itself.
A second issue developed with the touchscreen. The upper-left corner began making a clicking sound, as if the display was slightly separating from the chassis, particularly in colder weather.
Because I was outside the 30-day return window, I had to go through inMusic’s warranty process. There is no phone support—only a web-based ticket system. My initial ticket went unanswered for several weeks. After submitting another request and going through multiple email exchanges, I was approved to send the unit in for repair at my expense.
The display was replaced; however, the original power issue persisted. The unit continued to shut off when pressing a footswitch or moving it. I contacted support again and was approved to return it a second time, this time with shipping covered. The unit has now been received, but I have been informed that replacement could take up to four weeks. While I understand that service timelines can vary, it has been difficult not having clearer communication or a sense of urgency throughout the process.
In my opinion, the 12-volt external power design would benefit from a non plastic, chassis-mounted or locking connector. While it may function adequately in a stationary home studio environment, I would have concerns relying on it for live or stage use.

So I’ve been using this product for a little over a year now and I think it’s important for me to come back and provide some insight for those of you that are looking into one or about to pull the trigger.
To keep things simple, I would say go for it. There is a ton of stuff in this board! In fact, there is so much and so many capabilities that I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface. Do not be phased by all the other boards that are constantly coming out or throwing ads in your faces, because this one is just as capable, if not more capable than the rest.
I have personally sat down and tried the quad cortex, the newer fender tone master, as well as the infamous helix, and I can honestly say that the headrush prime is right up there with all of them. In fact, after playing around with all the others, I’m still sold on the prime.
The one thing that I think it outshines the rest in is the interface and touchscreen, although the lack of dedicated software for the computer interface might be the only downside. Believe me, all of us that already on the board have our fingers crossed that it comes out one of these days!
Either way, every board out there has its pros and cons, but when the dust settles, I’ll still be rocking my headrush prime!

I have been very satisfied with my purchase of headrush core effects processor. It has tons of presets, autotune, looper and bluetooth support. I am using it with Headrush FRFR-108 MK II AMP cabinet that allows me to configure it to play with a range of instruments. I have used it with both acoustic electric (Martin SC-10E) and electric (Gibson Les Paul Tribute) guitars. It might come across as pricey but it’s worth every penny. You can easily avoid spending money on individual pedals/amps and get a far superior product minus the clutter.

I upgraded from the OG Pedalboard and the Prime is leaps and bounds better. First all the tones included sound great. You get some great touch sensitivity now. The amp models seem to all have been upgraded. It’s still a breeze to creat your own patches and loading IR’s is even easier with a built in USB port. Now for the great stuff. The cloud has a ton of amps that folks have captured. Some are great, some not so great. You’ll have to sift through for the good ones. Same goes for the OD/Distortion pedals on there.
The main reason I went with the Prime is the cloning. I found that for distortion and amps it really does a good job of cloning. Overdrive pedals that blend a clean and dirty signal need work though. I find that the prime adds bass instead of a clean signal. Hopefully their algorithm can be improved on later to get those blends so we can clone our favorite OD’s.
The board is big but has lots of features, some of which I’ll never use (vocal processor).
The price point per feature is great and it’s a very capable unit. If you’re looking to clone your amps and distortion/OD pedals you won’t find a unit at a better price for what’s offered.

No more carrying an amp to rehearsals or gigs. It's a versatile piece of equipment that let's you create your own sound, record tracks, and so much more!

I’ve purchased two of these and neither of them lasted longer than 3 months. The first ones touch screen failed after a few months of use (all in home and never traveled with). The second ones Bluetooth stopped working within a few weeks. At least the second failed soon enough to be returned in time but the first one I am now stuck with. I’ve spoken with tech support who told me to factory reset everything which reset all of the rigs I had setup and downloaded/imported but they thought it was worth a try. This didn’t work and now it would need to be sent back to the factory for repair, leaving me without the unit for who knows how long after only a few months of in home use. I loved how it sounded while it was working which is why I was willing to buy it a second time. But having two fail in that amount of time leaves me without any trust in the durability of the product on the software side. Definitely do not recommend. Going with the Line 6 Helix now instead.

This Machine sounds amazing when listening via XLR or 1/4 to an external speaker or monitors. Currently only using factory presets & wow it Rocks!
I am experiencing an issue when listening via the head phone jacks tho!!! It crackles & pops. At first I thought it was because I was using the Bluetooth functions to play. Then I connected the aux & experienced the same issue. Its intermittent & I'm not sure why. I may have received a defective headphone port?! Head phones being used are Shure SE215 PRO. I used this for everything else & no issues issues. The audio sounds great when using the mains outs tho! A little bummed out about this but ehhh it happens.

Still early in the going but the sounds, options and ease of use are incredible. Worth every penny.
