Not made for outdoors?

Made to be used outside, but the literal power connector says right on it to not use outdoors. Tried to rig up something to protect it, but shouldn't be like that.

Great Purchase

Installed in the rafters of a lean to grilling area. I have an outlet up there on a switch. As soon as I turn the switch on it connects to a known device like a phone so I don’t need to go on a ladder to push a button. Range is decent and the sound and volume is great.

Great purchase, great sound not much bass but enough for a pergola/backyard. Definitely 👍🏼

Wow, I’m very impressed with the quality of the sound and how easy was to set it up. I will definitely recommend this to anybody that wants sound for your pergola or back yard. Just installed them 2 days ago, I hope they last long.

Power cable blew up when plugging in

I had about 5-6 uses and had the power cable blow up in my hand while plugging it in. It made an arc, popped, and the plug blew in half at the cable. I’m assuming the positive and negative wires somehow made connection inside of the coated wire while plugging it in. Hoping the company will make this right.

Best Bang for the Buck

Short and sweet: These speakers are an incredible value for the money. They sound as good as the 6.5" Polk outdoor active/passive speakers. These are PERFECT for a dining or conversation patio, and loud enough for a pool party. Bluetooth connection was instant and solid. If you're looking for speakers for a dance party, these are probably not going to deliver the thumping bass you want, but for audiophiles who want a broad-range response with crystal clear sound, these are the speakers you want. By the way, the bass is pretty impressive at mid to high volume, you can hear it perfectly well 100 feet away. Super easy setup, I didn't even read the instructions. Power them up, find them on your device's list of Bluetooth peripherals , and connect. Done. Connected without any issues to my Android smartphone, tablet, and laptop, even at 40 feet away. Very happy with these speakers, highly recommend them.

Good quality sound - but RUSTED

I have loved these speakers for about a year now, but I've noticed although mounted on the wall the speakers developed rust and discoloration to the front grills. I may have a defective unit; the sound quality for the price of these has been great I'll admit. The provided wiring is pretty short, considering the span I initially mounted them was about 8 ft apart. I want to order a black pair, but I am pretty disappointed in the rusting when these are advertised to be marine grade and able to function out in the elements. The price and current coupons may just push me to try a second time considering the pros.

Great outdoor speakers

I have to say I was surprised on the sound from these speakers. At this price most speakers lack clear sound and great bass but these herdio speakers have some of the best sound I have heard for outdoor speakers. I bought 4 and they sound incredible like surround sound for the outdoors. So I highly recommend theses you will not be disappointed .

Speakers sounds really good for the price. They were installed under a balcony at my parents with a recreation / pool house building.

Bluetooth works GREAT and it was super easy to pair after the main speaker is plugged in.

Cons: no way to turn off the speaker(s). There is no on/off so they are always on. Let’s say by the pool you wanted them off, well you have to unplug the main speaker. This means the blue light, seen thru the speaker grill, is always on. The speaker wire provided was not long enough (it’s a decent length for most

people) so I used car audio speaker wire that was better quality. Also, no mounting hardware included for brackets so plan on using your screws or Tapcoms based upon your install.

Note: we previously had speakers installed in the same place so I was able to utilize the existing amounts that we had up…

Overall, my gripes are minor. If they last 2-3 years I’ll be happy at this cost.

I got these used for a GREAT PRICE! And trust me guys they sound amazing!! I would recommend 4 speakers for even better results but 2 does so good. I will buy Again!!

Herdio 6.5 speakers

Am impressed by this brand. Would recommend to anyone. Im 59 but it got pretty loud for me. They are sturdy and solid. The white case is stylish. 2 cables and you are ready to go.

Bright flashing light is a dealbreaker

I wanted to like these speakers, because they do have great sound (when connected to my Pixel 8 phone -- much better than when connected to my iPhone, which doesn't have as good of an encoder). Instead, I returned them, for two reasons. First, the "connected" and "disconnected" alerts are extremely loud and obnoxious -- really a beep would have done fine. Second and more important, there is a bright flashing 4-LED blue light that is on whenever the speakers are powered on (see video). I bought these speakers with the intent of mounting them under the eve of my front porch. However, I really don't want a bright flashing blue light all night on my front porch!

Another reviewer on here mentioned this problem and said that they intended to put black tape over the LEDs. Problem is that the grill is not easily removable. I called customer service and told them that I didn't like the obnoxious flashing blue light and asked how to remove the grill so I could cover it with black tape. They said that they know of this problem and plan to change it in a future model. But they said that removing the grill would void my warranty and that they will not tell me how to do it. I said that then I would need to return the speakers. They said that instead I might consider putting a piece of tape over the light. I reminded them that this is why I was calling, so I could remove the grill. They reiterated that they cannot tell me how to do this but that I could email their service department, and they would tell me. I did, and they did: spray alcohol along the edges of the grill to dissolve the solvent, then re-glue the speakers afterward. This seemed like too much effort for me to fix their flashing light problem -- plus it'll void the warranty! So I returned the speakers instead. Perhaps I'll find another brand of bluetooth speakers with good sound, or perhaps I'll wait for Herdio to come out with a new model that doesn't have this issue.

Works.

These speakers work as described, but I was hoping by getting the larger speakers they would have more bass. More than 10 feet away they have that thin, tinny, cheap sound. But right underneath them they're fine.

Not bad !!

Phone didn’t capture the base They have more base in real life ! Super easy to install I used my own wire in between (16/2 speaker wire) ! Not bad for $142 ! And I hooked them up to a switch so I can turn them off and on without going up there. They connect easy, no problem every time I turn this switch on!

8-23-24 so had these now for about 2 months so far so good !!! Volume control glitched once in and I just disconnect and reconnect and good to go !

Not worth the money

Size and exterior of speaker look good. it even does sound good on a very low volume. Which i wanted something loud for outside pool side. Once volume turns a bit up it starts glitching as you can hear please refer to my video. Excuse my Spanish music lol NOT WORTH IT!

Sound great and work well.

I’ve spent the last two years playing with various solutions to get Music outside by my pool. No ability to hardwire into my house so it has to be something with Bluetooth. I can’t tell you how many different brands of rock speakers I’ve played with but eventually they all failed to sync up with each other. What a nightmare. Finally I decided to give these things a try, And it’s like heaven. And because they are connected by a wire they are always synced and sound great. Obviously it’s not club level loud, but certainly loud enough for a backyard party by the pool. Recommended!

Really clear sound

It took me a minute to get the wires connected correctly, but the Bluetooth connected real fast and I’m very impressed with the sound, bass is deep and clear mids. Couldn’t be happier I for sure recommend the m I’m using them outside but it’s a bad day but I’ll post it later

The quality is perfect

Definitely NOT waterproof they died outside in less than 9 Months

The sound is reasonable for the price and they are easy to install and setup. However, I'm less than 9 months in and it no longer works. I'm getting 18.50 volts out of the power supply and nothing from the main speaker, no light, no bluetooth signal.

Nice speakers, easy connection and loud enough. Quality control is hit or miss on appearance.

I have tried other speakers and they don't get enough volume. These get pretty loud and with my pool pumps and hot tub water moving I need a little more volume. My only complaint is that the first pair came in damaged and the 2nd pair were as well. i did not return the 2nd pair because it was more of an inconvenience than the issue itself. The grill on one speaker is pushed in and I could not get it to pop out. It's hard to tell in the pictures but I'm annoying since I paid full price for this pair. This company either has quality issues, poor packing (which I think should have been adequate), or the shippers are damaging...they need to work on this aspect.

Sound Great

I needed Bluetooth speakers for my patio to use with my TV, and these speakers did the trick. The price is right and they work well. The sound quality is better than expected with music and voice while watch TV or streaming from a device. Good buy!

Every bit of 400 watts

I was surprised about the quality of Herdio indoor/outdoor speakers. Not only do they put out great sound it’s also quality as well. The Bluetooth ability allows you to listen to your music from your phone. I also like that if I want to tone it down you can use just one speaker(200 watts). The speakers are definitely durable( I dropped mine while installing). If you’re looking for high quality speakers for indoor or outdoor these are worth buying.

Easy from start to finish plus Great sound!

I am blown away at the easy of installation and at the sound quality of these speakers. Once installed, one of the speakers connects to your device. The other speaker connects to the bluetooth speaker via speaker wire. They have a nice, not to heavy, soild feel to them. They do not have any control of their own. The volume in controlled by whatever device it's connected to. Once you hook them up and plug them in, your ready to connect. Like I said, there is no controls. Volume or power. Once you plug it in, it powers up. Super nice and super easy. I really like them. Great sound!
