The Hi-Boost arrived in a sturdy, padded box with spaces created for each individual peice. Just looking at the packaging alone told me that this was a high quality product. I was impressed before I ever took it out of the box. I had some concerns about capturing the best signal at first, but the owners manual and the support system at Hi-Boost made it very easy to install. Registration was super easy. Scanning the code enabled my support agent Liam, to contact me, asking if I had any questions, and giving me pointers. Customer support is stellar, with fast and extremely knowledgeable responses. I could tell that Liam had a lot of experience with this product and I was confident with his help. I live in a very rural area where I was only getting one or two bars. With the Hi-Boost, I get three to four bars consistently. Included in this very nice packaging, is a special cable that you can use to connect through a window or a very tight space, going from the inside, to the outside. Also included is a special tape wrapping that blocks unwanted interference from getting in through your cable connection points. The quality of this device is top tier, with heavy, well shielded cables. For the price, it is everything I was hoping for, and more. Liam knew that this unit would work best sitting on a desk or counter top, as opposed to hanging it on a wall. He was knowledgeable with where to place my antennaes. The actual install time was only a couple hours. Not only is this device reliable, but customer support is reliable too! With quick responses, I'm not doing this alone. I'm not going into the install blind. I have an extra helper that is only a few taps away. Now everything is set up. There is no "fine-tuning" required. I just pointed the outside antenna in the general direction of the closest cell tower and it works perfectly! Even in stormy and rainy weather, it works great! I no longer have to drive into town to download videos. I can stream. I can hotspot my pc without having to plug my phone into an extension cord outside. Speaking of outside, I now have better service inside, than I do outside! Its liberating! It's wonderful! I'm so happy I bought this. Its well worth the money!

AMAZING PRODUCT!! I went from being on SOS in my basement apartment to having 4 bars and 5G!!!

This cellphone booster really works great. I live rural, in a poor signal area, for every carrier. Usually one bar inside, sometimes none. Outside I've never had over two bars, and only in the fall and winter when there is no leaf fade that I would have two bars. For the numbers registered on the phone signal strength, I went from the mid to high -120 usually -125 and ASU of 10-13 before the booster to the mid to high -90s and ASU 36-40s after installing the booster.
I installed this booster, (take the time to really dial in the outside antenna, just a degree or two makes a difference, the farther away from the tower you are, the more important it is). Installation is fairly easy. (hardest part is getting the antenna just right and getting the cable inside, it's literally plug and play.) The signal manager app works well, the network cell locator app, not so much, it never did find a cell tower in my area. (told you I was rural) but it is very good for display the signal at the phone, which is what really matters, a lot easier than digging through your phone's settings to find the signal numbers. I started pointing the antenna towards the nearest populated area to me and used the signal manager app to dial it in to peak signal.
I have full five bars now if I am in the room with the inside unit, four bars in other room. I even have reception in my basement if I am under the inside unit upstairs.. I've never had any reception in my basement before.
Doing a speed check I have an over ten fold increase in speed. Granted nowhere near amazing speed for some, but going from 1.6MPS to 15-20MPS. Out here in the sticks, that is just amazing. Pages that would time out and fail before actually load now, load fast from what I was use to.
Definitely worth the expense and effort to install, I really wish I would of bought this sooner.

Booster is working great 👍. I live in a steel building and the closest cell tower is 8 miles away. After installing the booster I have 3 bars of 5g all day long!! Thank you

I live in a rural area in a bit of a dip and we get about 1 bar of Verizon cellular at our house. I installed the directional antenna in our attic on a pole so it is about 20 feet off the ground. Within 3 feet of the base station, I get full bars, but the further I get from it, the weaker it gets so that I still only get one bar about 30 feet away from the base station. It works, but I have to be in the same room with the base station to get full bars of signal and decent download speeds. I was hoping for better signal further away in my one story 2800ft home.

I purchased this high boost cell phone booster.
The installation was fairly straightforward and easy as long as you follow the directions clearly. their customer service gave me a text asking if I needed help and helped guide me through the entire process the most difficult portion was hanging the exterior antenna other than that it is a very easy process and her help was awesome.

I am a wireless networking engineer and had a few materials to do this correctly, but the average person could do a good job with the materials provided. I especially liked the "through window" jumper. The cable lengths were perfect for my install. I did use a lightning suppressor since I installed the antenna on the roof. Overall it was a very good experience with excellent results.

Bought this based on other reviews. Was a bit skeptical that it would help. I was proven wrong as it improved by three bars every band it said it worked for. The inside strength is a bit under powered but we have open room floor plan so it was not an issue. I am happy with the product.

I’ve had a Hiboost cell signal booster (Sidekick) for about two years. Recently, the unit shorted out due to an issue with the power cord. Even though the booster was already two years old, Hiboost replaced it within a couple of days — and this was over the New Year’s holiday, which really impressed me.
To be honest, during the first two years I never saw a major improvement in my signal. After installing the replacement, Liam from Hiboost followed up a few days later and spent over a week working with me to fine-tune the antenna placement. I was ready to settle for a “fair” signal, but he kept insisting it could be better — and he was absolutely right.
With his guidance, we found the optimal antenna locations, and I now have the best cell signal I’ve ever had at my home. The difference is noticeable and consistent.
Excellent customer service, fast warranty support, and outstanding follow-through. Liam’s persistence and expertise made all the difference.

We live in a low area surrounded by trees with poor line of site to any tower. On a good day we could get a single bar, and have relied on wifi calling and texts have been hit and miss. We've had some success with cheaper cell boosters in the past and decided to try something a bit more robust so ordered this unit. Installation was simple, took about an hour.
The Signal Supervisor app is easy to use, and cellmapper.net was very helpful locating a couple of towers. After adjusting the direction a bit, we are getting 3 to 4 bars in most areas of our ranch style home. The worst we get is 2 bars in some parts of the basement. No more dropped calls, texting works as it should.
Overall we're thrilled with this booster. I noticed a negative review that called out poor customer service, so I want to give my own review of that. I barely had time to unbox the system before recieving a text message from tech support (Liam) asking if I had any questions or needed any help which honestly blew me away. I answered to say I didn't have time to work on it but would over the weekend. Fast forward several days and Liam checked in again to see how things went. I'd say this is above and beyond expectations. Even though I didnt have any problems with installation and setup, I felt confident that I had a support team ready to help if I needed it. Great product and great, attentive support. Well done!

My phone wouldn’t get any reception in the house, it would show SOS. I bought this product and installed it. After, I did get reception. It wasn’t much and I wasn’t sure if this would actually work. The next day I got - text from Noah from Hiboost asking me how it was going. I told him I wasn’t sure it was working so he asked me for some information to help troubleshoot. After looking over what I sent him we turned off the WiFi and started looking at the cell signal. I was now far 3-4 bars LTE up to 2-3 bars of 5G! Tonight I actually had 5G uw/uc at one point.
I’m impressed with how well this works and even more impressed that the company reached out to check on me. That was top notch customer service.

HiBoost Ally is a great cell phone booster, easy to install, great customer service to guide you through the process, and it boosts are single from one bar to full bars! I highly recommend this.

The Sidekick booster is amazing, but more importantly the Tech support is outstanding at Hiboost. I have been an electrician for 45 years and had no problem installing this unit. With that said the installation can be a DIY project if you are handy (mounting outdoor antenna).
The tech support guided me through the adjustments and settings to help me achieve the maximum cell reception. Tech support uses instant messaging to communicate, share photos of installation and reports on unit and cell reception. Tech support was able to tell me that I was off by 50 degrees on the direction of my outdoor antenna for the correct cell tower. Once I rotated the outdoor antenna from 260 degrees to 210 degrees using my cell phone compass, my cell phone bars soared to the maximum level.
If you have any doubts watch my attached video, Hiboost and their tech support will boost your cell signal without a doubt.
Dan
Great tech support, the device helps but takes some time to ensure is working. Our ISP went down and discovered no cell service. Didn't realize my HiBoost Sidekick outdoors cell signal was too strong, so it was not retransmitting the signal indoors. Contacted tech support which was fantastic! Troubleshooting they found the issue, shipped me an omnidirectional antenna normally used on vehicles with a new cable. With some trial and error found the ideal balance of outdoor strength which allows it work and it's helping my indoor signal. Not perfect but better than without it! Definitely pay attention to signal strength, if circles are maxed out contact tech support since your HiBoost may be in overload mode.

I wasn’t expecting much at first. I didn’t know much about cell signal boosters until I came across this one when doing research. I live in an area where I would get between 1 bar LTE/SOS.
Climbed my TV antenna and mounted the reciever antenna up high while wife was telling me where the best signal was on the HiBoost app. (We’ve got Verizon).
Anyways. We now get have 3 bars LTE and sometimes 2 bars 5G depending on the weather and wind.
Signal seems to be spotty on extra windy or rainy days.
**UPDATE!!!**
Been getting FULL BARS of 5G for the past week now now and it hasn’t dropped once. Speedy fast! Awesome device!! And I know it’s the booster because I walk outside and phone gets 1-2bar of LTE again.
best purchase ever! Changing my review from 4 to 5 stars.
(PS customer support is awesome)

I got this for my mom because she doesn’t have cell service in the kitchen. She had to put her phone outside and use Bluetooth headphones if she wanted to be on a call while she cooked. This solved that problem astoundingly. The instructions take some reading, but honestly the best thing was the customer service. Neither the booklet nor the app fully explain how you can get a more reliable read of how well the extender is doing if you’re connected to it via Bluetooth vs its local WiFi (this is not to make use of the service but to assess its performance during install) but the customer service team (I specifically worked with Abeni) were VERY helpful and responsive. My mom was very surprised and happy with this.
Also it’s worth noting that the cable is not the regular coaxial cable I’m used to in the US. It’s SMA cable. It says it and everything. I just went to the store to buy more (even though it comes with a good amount) and bought the wrong type. Just don’t make my same mistake lol.

I live in a rural area where there's a lot of trees and obstructions for any type of signal out here. We would get a lot of drop calls out here due to that on our cell phones. After I installed the Hiboost sidekick there is no more dropped calls and we also have our internet through our cell phone provider which is three times faster than it ever was , so thank you for making a great product. The quality of it is second to none and I highly recommend to anyone who's having bad reception with their cell phones or cellular internet to definitely try this product. Insulation was very easy and the instructions provide plenty of assistance to help you find the best signal to point the receiver in that direction. Again, I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it.

I live in A 28x36'' house that has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. 28x36'' should equal out to 1,008 square feet. This booster states in the description 2,000 sq ft coverage. I am not getting coverage in my back bedrooms of my 1,008 sq ft home. Maybe it is the walls in the home blocking the signal. Maybe the descriptions meant A 2,000 sq ft building with no inside walls. Either way, I have full bars in the living room where the booster is located, the back bedrooms drop to 2 bars. After I installed the outdoor antenna, ran the coax, and hooked up the indoor booster, I got 26 mbps speed test. When I unplugged the booster the mbps dropped to 6 mbps standing in the same spot. I really like the display screen on the indoor unit telling me what is going on as far as the outdoor and indoor signal along with the band with.

Although it is a bit expensive, the booster does work that makes the signals in my apartment in full strength. I lives in a 900 sqft apartment. No AT&T or T-Moblie signals, mid-strength Verizon signal (I have two numbers, one relies on Verizon's network, the other roaming on either AT&T or T-Mobile network). So, I decided to try the booster. I put the atenna on the patio, and the booster in the nearby room. The direct distance between them is about 8 ft / 2.5 meters. Now, my 800 / 1900 MHz signals in the apartment are always full, and once the atenna picks outside signals of 700 / 2100 MHz, the indoor signal will be full as well. So, it is a workable plan for you if you experience my problem.
The customer service is also reliable. At the beginning, there is a little struggle, so I approached the online support. The follow-up from their tech support is proactive. So, you don't need to worry about the tech issues you meet. Noah Bruce, the support expert did a good job while walking me through the whole process.

Just updating the review to add that Noah has helped to further make the booster better. We are now seeing 4 bars! We turned off PCS1900 and it made a big difference. Thank you Noah for all your work on this! Everyone at this company has been super helpful.
Our closest AT&T tower is pretty far away it turns out. The last pic in this review shows how far away it is. The closest tower is down for maintenance (according to AT&T) and they don’t have an ETA as to when it will be back online. The fact that this booster can get us to 3 bars is pretty good! We went from virtually no signal and dropped calls to being able to use our cell phones, so I will take it! Pretty awesome! Now we don’t have to switch carriers, which would have been a big pain to do since we still have another 2 years on the contract and still owe balances on the phones.
The technical support on this has been awesome! Liam has been excellent to work with! He has checked in even after it was up and running to make sure everything has been running properly. Thank you Liam! I really appreciate all you have done for me!

Second sidekick arrived before the first one and I canceled the first one. Guess that $10 difference in sale price matters on the prime shipping behavior. Shipping box was fine but retail box inside was damaged - seam was ripped along one edge and it looks like it was dropped with the dent in the retail box. Clear-coat sticker on the display looked nasty and could not clean it. until I got my fingernail under the edge to remove it for a nice shiny display surface. See photos of those things.
Bought the booster for using with my camper, tested it at home with the antenna upstairs and the booster downstairs with the coax running down the stairs. Yay - it works, no smoke came out of it and the LCD display was intact despite the box being damaged. My cell phone had two bar of service that went up on the band in use for T-mobile 5g to five bars of 5g once powered on. Speed test before and after went from ~70mbps download to ~130mbps download, I forget the upload speeds but they also improved in a residential suburb. Trying with my AT&T 4g LTE hotspot, no real difference in speeds even with moving the antenna to point at an AT&T tower. I was getting ~20mbps down and close to 5mbps up on AT&T. Other locations with the camper/hotspot I have seen 75mbps down and 25mpbs up on AT&T with the CAT4 modem. For reference I get 550mbps down over wifi on the testing devices and on Ethernet devices on my home internet service, so the various device 5ghz wifi speeds are not the bottleneck. That is how my hotspot is wired in the camper already.
One gripe - the app - it has 2.5 stars out of five in google play store for a few reasons. It works. I do not feel it is needed though, but does offer some remote metrics when aiming the directional antenna. My complaints about the app are:
1 - you need to create an account on their portal/website using both your email and your cell number.
3 - while all cell boosters need to be registered with the carrier with your address so they can knock on your door when interference is detected, I am planning to use it while camping when needed at the site I am at that day, with the two different carriers. The app took my gps location from my phone to tag home as where the booster will forever be.
4 - trying to connect to the booster over bluetooth (me choosing to not use wifi despite the app's persistence to allow it to radio home over wifi for push notifications) worked for registering the device, but then I could not access the device and got an error telling me to say within 20-30 feet for bluetooth. I was 2 feet away. Eventually after another 2-3 minutes of trying to figure out how to refresh info in the app (I never found a way), the bluetooth link reconnected and I was able to see the signal meters for all for frequency ranges. Association/pairing of bluetooth is done via the hiboost app not the phone's bluetooth interface such as for your car/speaker/headphones.
5 - The majority of the app (75%) seems to be a social app with "share your experience/rating/photos" and "here is our entire product line with marketing info for you to buy another or share with people". I wanted the app for the remote signal meter viewing and nothing more. Tech support is embedded in the app too.
I believe the sidekick has an EPS32 in it by the name on the sticker of "what's inside" which, that family of products, can do web servers, wifi, bluetooth and more and are heavily used in IoT devices. Knowing the history of ESP32 performance/design explains a few things in my experience so far, such as the bluetooth connectivity and recovery time needed.
The FCC ID on my sidekick is OWWF115705S and contains FCC ID 2AC7Z-ESP32WROVERB and contains IC 21098-ESPWROVERB as part of the model no F08G-5S-IOT. These are things I wish I knew before I bought it. A search for that FCC ID returns a different HiBoost product when you see the external photos the FCC have on file. I will keep it as it seems to work despite being in a decent cell service area where I would not use it normally. Just wish the box was not damaged for transport and storage when not using it and the red word "alarm" was not lit up on the LCD screen for two of the four bands, but that could be due to using in the suburbs.

This booster was VERY easy to set up. The hardest part was figuring out where and how to mount the outside antenna, but it's very lightweight and the kit comes with all the necessary mounting brackets.
The photo of signal is after the booster is installed. I typically get a single bar of basic signal (no LTE, no 5g), so the improvement is very noticeable. I no longer drop calls like a hot potato and I don't have to attempt to send texts 2 or 3 times before they finally send.
I expect to get even better performance once I get my antenna mounted higher on my home and get my inside antenna to a more central location.
General recommendation is to have the outside and inside antenna be separated by at least 20 feet vertically (IIRC HiBoost manual says 13 feet) or 50 feet horizontally, and have the inside antenna 'behind' the outside antenna to reduce feedback interference. The cable that comes with the kit is long enough to achieve that for moat people, but I personally need to get a longer cable to get the antenna on my roof and still reach the receiver box where I want to put it. Something to consider for yourself as you shop for boosters. That said, make sure if you buy your own cable to get a good quality cable that conforms to standards - DO NOT just get the cheapest cable you can find!
Finally, many reviews of cell boosters seem to forget that antenna placement can make or break the effectiveness of a booster. The more walls and 'stuff' in the way, the worse the performance will be.if the receiving antenna is not precisely directed, or if it's mounted in a way that wind can change its orientation by just 2 or 3 degrees can seriously hinder performance. It is also important to consider what is in the line of sight between the cell tower and your antenna - ther could be a tall building or natural formation that can't see yourself that could impede antenna reception. I recommend locating your nearest couple of towers and checking out Google maps' satellite/terrain view to get a better sense of how clear the signal could really be.

My Booster arrived yesterday, and the install was very easy and straightforward. I checked the speed when I was done and I could definitely see gain and signal strength but what was over the top was the fact that this evening I got a text from their company. They wanted to follow up to see how the product was performing, their Technical Support guy walked me through exactly how to test and confirm my unit to make sure it was installed correctly and working as it should. It was working properly and he helped me to determine that my strongest signal was obtained by using my cell phones with the Wi-Fi off , we have T-Mobile Internet which is something we have been very happy with also, but the booster gives the T-Mobile box the highest speed. I would definitely recommend this product but more importantly, I would recommend this company. I definitely recommend that you buy this product if you are needing to improve your connection speed.

I live in a rural area of Virginia that has adequate internet, but numerous cell coverage dead spots. While internet availability is good, when it occasionally goes down we need reliable emergency cell phone and internet backup. Prior to installing the HiBoost booster, I had to walk to the edge of my property to try to get one bar on my phone. After installation, which was pretty straightforward, I have a minimum of two bars throughout the house, and three bars when in the same room as the booster. I could probably do even better by fine-tuning the antenna direction by a few degrees, however what I've got is great for my purposes.
The only installation challenge was that my home doesn't have a window or door in a good place for the cable entry, so I went through the exterior wall, and used a waterproof feedthrough plug. I've got the booster separated from the antenna by three walls, so there's no feedback interference. I aimed the antenna by using a cell tower locater app. (Of note, the booster is mounted about 10" from my internet router and there is no interference.)
The HiBoost cell phone booster works as advertised, and solved a safety issue for me. Highly recommended!

First of all, prepare to get your mind blown when you hook the unit up and turn on your cell phone. I live in the woods. One bar at best Verizon. Plugged in the unit and immediately I got full bars LTE on the Verizon phone, on the AT&T phone, and on the Mint mobile phone (Yes, I’m a P.I. and I have all three). I am now going to discontinue my $130/mo satellite Internet (Viasat) because I am now streaming all my shows via the mobile hotspot on my Verizon phone. It’s a life changer. I figured I would give it a try and return it if I wasn’t happy. I am beyond happy. I am ecstatic. I had an issue with shipping. I contacted customer support and Dominic answered all my questions. If you’re lucky, you will get Dominic, but I’m sure they are all just as great at customer service. Because I was so happy with the product and the above-and-beyond from Dominic, I bought a second HiBoost sidekick to take to my vacation home, which also used to have spotty cell service. And now I am streaming gangbusters there as well! Thanks for all the help, Dominic!

We moved into a house and my husband and I are both working from home. In my home office I could NOT catch a decent cell signal. I did everything I could with my service provider to no avail. When I would get a call I would have to RUN to the living room where I could get a bar or two and have a successful call. And in order to make a call, I was taking my notes and laptop to the dining room or living room to complete a call. SO FRUSTRATING and not sustainable. At my wit's end, I went online to find a solution and this product is IT! At first I was worried I wouldn't get a good signal with the HIBOOST antenna because I can't put the antenna on the roof of our house. But, at customer service's suggestion, I tried something else before I threw in the towel. The customer service rep was fantastic. She sent me maps to locate the nearest cell towers for both mine and my husband's cell service providers and encouraged me to try the antenna at the highest spot on the house I could, pointed at the cell phone tower. AND IT WORKS! Now I can stay at my desk or in my office to do my work. What a relief. This product really solved the problem. Beyond the customer service rep calling and texting me with ideas and other support, another representative followed up by email to make sure I was getting the signal I needed using their product the HIBOOST. Great customer service, all the way around. I totally recommend this product.

Works really well for me. Just keep in mind to keep both antennas at a good distance from each other to have a better signal. No cons yet as of now.
Carly
Just got set up "on my own" so far two days into having a much better signal. We did start with a very slow in and out signal. Now I just need to perfect it, we are in an RV so I put the amplifier in a lower storage area and want to extend the mast above rear ladder which will top out the one bar we're missing and make it easier to take down when traveling. We use a phone hot spot for wifi, my personal phone went from LTE to 5G 4 bars, yes I want more but that's me. Yes it took some time but the outcome "so far" is excellent.

Due to the small space where the booster was to be installed, the distance between the outdoor and indoor antenna is about 10 feet. The indoor antenna would be about 8 feet underneath the outdoor antenna, offset by about 4 feet. It wasn't the optimal setup for the device, as per instructions.
I worked with their tech person Noah and he helped me get the problem diagnosed and corrected. Ended up with a kind of tin foil barrier to mitigate the feedback loop that can happen with the outdoor and indoor antenna being too close.
We're no long getting the 'The status of your device has changed to Alarm' email, and haven't for several days. I've attached a recording of the base station panel for reference. We barely have cell signal (often 1 or no bars), but the system seems to be boosting well and we have 3-4 bars inside.
Ask for Noah if you have any issues. He was always attentive, quick to respond, and would even check in from time to time. He provided some of the best tech support I've ever had.
