The DAC and/or preamp must be poorly shielded or the PCB paths are not well engineered because this thing produces some intolerable self-noise in the recordings.
The audio is very lossy, which is something I expected and don’t mind. DUAL MONO 128kbps mp3 isn’t best practice encoding but for on the fly digitizing it gets the job done.
I tried using different power sources and isolated the power supply from the audio source device, it improves a bit but there’s a persistent multi octave whine mixed with a buzz. Perhaps a better quality power cable would further reduce this noise.

Very easy to use
Purchased this MP3 recorder in 2020. Been using it as a backup for my serato recording. Works very good. The only thing is that you have to put the output to the mp3 source all the way up to get a good quality recording. Other than that it was a really good purchase. Great for a DJ to get your recording onto a portable flash drive.
