This light is awesome. The use of a rotary dial for mode switching is easy to use and feels better than pressing a button in different sequences. The magnetic bottom with hook is always appreciated, especially when I work on my truck. I also like being able to change from warm to cool white very easily. This is not my first flashlight from Hotligh and definitely not my last. I use every single one I own and they all have a unique place within my light arsenal. I do not think you will be disappointed with this light.

This light by Hotligh is amazing! Each of the light modes has a high (very bright) and low (also bright) setting, the magnetic base is strong and it stays stuck while working on the vehicle. The UV light is very bright as well and charges glow in the dark stickers fast. The mode dial has a lock position to prevent it from accidentally turning on while stowed away! Easily adjust brightness with the power button next to the mode dial. It has many useful applications making it a versatile addition to your toolkit or go bag. The cooling fins, along the back of light, will get hot during long uses with the main light on high power, but the light never loses brightness or functionality!

having a metal body that is not to heavy but very durable, this light is bright and has a long battery life
i love the ability to change color temps without turning the light on and off again, simply scroll the selector wheel and it changes to the new selection.
other features like the ability to lock the light off and magnetic base and hook for hanging make this a useful tool for any work that needs done.
my only complaint is from the inability to flip the light all the way over at the hinge, the reason is that only one side has the light on it meaning that the light will always only move one direction up to 90 degrees, if you need a bigger angle you are out of luck.

In addition to the LED arm angling up and down, I would have liked it to also swivel 180' like some of the other HotLigh models. The swivel allows some additional lighting directions that this light cannot do (see video for examples).

Light works well, the base is flimsy
The light itself is fine but it has a terrible flaw. The magnets at the base are secure ONLY with a very thin piece of tape or thin plastic, the magnets are not glued into the base and the pull of the magnets is STRONGER than the glue on the baseplate. So it actually dislodges the base and the magnet falls out. It's bright, but the appeal is the magnetic base and it fails on this.

You can never have enough lights like this when working on projects around the house or out on the farm, and this HOTLIGH work light has already become very handy for me. It is very bright and easy to adjust, and the magnetic base holds strong to metal surfaces so you can work hands-free. If there is nothing metal nearby, it can also hang from a rope, string, or nail.
I also like the different lighting modes, especially the spotlight and UV light features. USB-C charging is convenient, the battery lasts a long time, and it is nice to keep in the car for road trips or emergencies.

Another good Hotligh blade light WITH UV light AND WHITE LIGHT AT the tip rather than JUST white light. This is a great compact flip light , blade light , BEST FOR work station THOUGH. IT has SEVERAL GREAT features totally unique from my FAVORITE Hotligh ( Things I wish that one had ) - but - has omitted some clutch features as well so.....🤔 Pros *The TIP HAS 2 SETTINGS 1) a UV light which makes it easy to locate uv dyes, (and all sorts of other applications ) 2) A white light that can be used to pinpoint areas without causing reflections and blinding flash back when trying to see into small dark areas SURROUNDED BY SHINY aluminum and so forth. This is done by having 2 separate LED chips in the tip - the tip lights are not dimmable BTW- but the blade light IS .
Next because it Switches through modes by the dial AND HAS A BUTTON INSIDE of the DIAL - IT HAS RECALL OR rather SELECTABLE on/ off MODES RATHER THAN MANDATORY scroll through!! The dimming setting is NOT recalled but mode is * as long as the dial stays in position *( which is does well as these are notched, AND click in place settings)- The button turns on what ever setting the dial is SET at - an arrow points to the option selected . Also you can remember the pattern and set by clicks without looking;) . Another great include on this dial is LOCK mode ( THIS setting locks the button from turning on the light at all ) So for this to turn ON ....say... in your bag or pocket accidently 2 things need to happen 1) the dial needs to turn out of lock mode 2) the button needs to be pressed ( side note I do wish this lock mode had a bit deeper notch - its not hard to spin out of - no harder than any other setting on the dial but still is a great feature and I like it unlikely bith things will occur so 👍. Starting at lock mode - the dial rotates into the blade settings first- (white>warm) then into the tip light settings ( Top > UV ). I love this- rather than toggling through with just a button you go straight to the mode and click the button . This light also has both stepped dimming and stepless dimming- cool ! It turns on in high but both the white & warm setting can be dimmed quickly by a second press of the button within few seconds- waiting too long ...the button defaults back to a single push- off function. STILL Has a SUPER strong magnetic base and heavy duty housing. IT IS Rechargeable and has an indicator to let you know how much battery is left as well as how much charging has been completed when plugged in. Folding is easily adjusted with one hand or even a finger without losing grip on the magnetic base. BuT 😥 THE BLADE DOES NOT ROTATE 😔. Its easy to carry in pockets , bag , car door pocket , glove box ! The uv light on this is great- really useful for many uses -EVEN deep cleaning your bathroom , 😆. ( I THINK THIS AND MODE DIAL ARE THE MAIN DRAW IF YOU CAN STAND THE LACK OF ROTATING BLADE ) Has a foldable bit a the base (for hanging ) On THIS one its a HOOK ( rather than a CLOSED loop ) arguably easier to find things to snag onto for hanging but ITS A kinda flat profile TOP ( doesn't work on car hoods very well-or tree branches- I would rather have the loop and use a S hook myself ) ALSO- this hook ..may also be easier to snag on other stuff IF it opens inadvertently - the hook DOES rotate and tucks in to the base pretty firmly ( I JUST DONT LIKE THESE -have had on alot of lights they usually break off - this one is strong very stiff solid hook but I can no longer use S hooks and the profile is just not conducive to where I normally hang them😔 so I cant hang really . Note you may want to take care to not throw it into bag with clearly snaggable items like clothes, netting, straps etc ..AGAIN I like the loops better personally;) Other Hotligh blades I have HAVE A LOOP AND BELT CLIP!! Miss both on this one . SO THREE FEATURES that were REMOVED FROM THIS PARTICULAR MODEL - Which I MISS DEEPLY ARE - 1) THE BLADE NOT ROTATING- I missed that THIS WAS GONE until I needed it - I JUST assumed it WAS THERE ! BUT ITS NOT- THIS ONLY FOLDS upward TO 180° AnD BACK DOWN again 2) Also PERHAPS BECAUSE OF the no rotating thing ?? THE AFTER GLOW FEATURE IS NOT INCLUDED ( meaning when the light is turned off the back drop behind the chips do not glow for ANY period of time - ( I really like this feature on my other HOTLIGH blade lights - sometimes I turn IT off stuck up under a vehicle for a bit and that glow helps me see it TO USE again- VERY USEFUL if its DIES while I am using it - so I can find it and take it with me to charge it! With this one- if it dies -I can NOT see it WITHOUT getting ANOTHER light. ALSO Not having the rotation of the blade is VERY problematic - since the blade only folds up 180° its now impossible to get some angles ENTIRELY especially in an engine bay Or under a vehicle - magnetic surfaces are limited. Often need to shine upwards or have more then 180° to light up an area - with rotating blade GREATER angles are possible - better postioning is EASIER and I generally count this FEATURE. Overall - HAS SOME NEAT stand out FEATURES. BUT LACKS OTHERS . I thought this would become my favorite for carrying on me - meaning I didn't need to carry a second pen light to trace dyes or set marking paints on my bolts( the Uv light is bright for its size far superior to the small pen one I was using - faster at locating dyes as it can be done from greater distance . But the lack of rotation which I overlooked at first- dampened my excitement GREATLY- AND I'M m back to using my other Hotligh blade as my main go to . The main GOTTA HAVE IT FEATURE ON this one IS THE selection method - I love being able to click it off walk away for a period of time - and simply click it back on without fussing or frustrating! I niw LEAVE IT on my bench attched to the back board - where I dont need rotation it just points down - csn grab it off when I need the uv tip. Unfortunately -it just doesn't work to get into the postions I NEED elsewhere. I really hope they revise the rotating head version to include the new dial and button- and UV - for me the combo of these would be the PERFECT LIGHT !! This LIGHT charges fast and lasts a long time . While , I really love all my Hotligh blade lights - I HOPE TO see THE ORIGINAL one UPGRADED TO have ALL THESE 👍FEATURES!! This is a terrific, well built portable, yet slender work light that is great for all types of situations. I especially got this versatile light for our emergency preparedness kit-- it's that useful and wonderful to have.
That said, here's what features it has:
• This device has a useful UV light for engine 'pinhole' leaks, and just for fun, 'reveals' luminescent rocks we discover while hiking and backing. ;o)
• The 1500 lumen light is super bright-- great for disasters, emergencies and what have you. We utilize this light a lot when camping as well.
• There's a helpful stainless steel hook at the base to hang this work light just about anywhere. In addition, the base is magnetic, fairly strong ,which is great for sticking to steel or iron surfaces to better see what you are working on where lighting is most needed to determine the problem.
• There's four light modes to use: UV light, Warm light, Cool Light, Flashlight (Flashlight and UV lights are situated in the tip of the pull out arm). All of the LED lights work very well too.
• The durable body of these lights has a nice grip, and has a nice heft-- which tells us that this device is well made.
• There's a dial knob to make the selection of light an easy choice. Also, there's a locking mechanism that prevents running down of the battery, good thing.
• The kit comes with USB-A to USB-C cable for recharging... you need provide your own charging adapter.
I only have only one comment to make. I kinda wish this wonderful work light came with a silicone pouch or bag to store it in-between uses. I won't take off any stars for missing a pouch, but love to suggest to the seller/manufacturer to provide one in the future, as it would protect this device during transport, etc. ;o)
In short, this work light is everything we wanted in an emergency light, and is fantastic for camping, hiking and what have you.
Highly recommended, and then some!

A really great, lightweight, and versatile rechargeable work light. The brightness of this light at 1500 lm works out really well. It also has a built-in 500 mAh battery that lasts for quite some time. And when you need to charge it, it’s simply a USB Type-C connection to power this battery. The coolest portable light I own
Ok some times a flashlight/ worklight just feels special. It's made of metal (alu alloy, feels pretty tough), has a nice finish on it. The dial-a-light feature is neat because most lights just sequence from mode to mode by turning it off and on repeatedly... annoying when the mode you want is one of the last ones. The dual lighting brightness modes are great, but if I were to make one suggestion, I'd ask for a middle brightness mode for at least the bar, which goes from brighter than the sun to a candle. Switchblade style points and take note of the "lightly" magnetic tip on the light bar, as well as the extremely strong magnets on the base. The only part of the light that looks less than stellar quality is the base, which has a thin, flimsy piece of rubber over the magnets. But that rubber HAS to be thin for the magnets to do their thing, so I understand.
It charges pretty quick, runs a while especially on the dim mode (the bright mode is just for bursts, it doesn't stay super bright for a long time), but that's ok.
The UV light on the tip is a sweet touch, too. It's fairly bright for UV.
Lastly, it's well packaged and the instructions are clear and well-designed, so it would make a thoughtful gift and not something chintzy.

I love this flashlight it feels really good in your hand and has a slight heft to it but it’s not heavy just feels solid. It fits in your back pocket just fine. It’s super bright! So bright in fact the fold out light got warm to the touch after using it for a short period of time, if you were using this in the winter you could probably warm your hands with it. The magnetic base of the flashlight gripped the metal well and the hanger folded down protects the UV and pen light on the tip. You can even use it as a lantern that you can hang or stand on table and have a more low level light .Each light position has 2 levels of brightness just turn the gold wheel selector to the light you want then press the black button in the center of the selector. You can even charge your cell phone off of the Type C USB charging port. The base is rubberized but feels a little hard not sure how it would handle being dropped on a concrete floor. It would have been cool if it had some rubberizing on the top of the top but altogether I love it.
