Good product
This printer so far it's been great. Sharp colors and easy to install wireless on my Macbook Pro. Don't get fooled by some of the negative reviews. I picked mine up at my local store since I did not want to have it shipped.

The worst printer ever made. I'm an IT engineer and purchased this from costco for my home. It's been a few months and there is a problem with this printer every single time we use it. Errors all the time for no apparent reason requiring restarts of the printer. No clear definition or index to look up what the error codes mean and they're always different. Firmware is up to date, nothing is fixed.
It errors when turning on. It errors when turning off. It errors when you try to print. It tells you it's out of paper, then you reload, and it has a fatal error and can't resume printing. It errors when the sky is blue, it errors when it's dark out. It errors if you forgot to put your right foot on red and your right hand on green while holding down Ctrl + P to print.
HP support is not accessible at all anymore, it's only AI. You can spend 30 minutes troubleshooting and not reach any human on their customer service line.
This printer is truly the worst piece of technology I've ever encountered in 17 years in the IT industry, and ironically it's in my own home! Fortunately since it's from costco it can be returned and will be soon once I have the spare time. I plan on trying a simpler brand like Brother. The fact that a printer in 2026 can have repeated firmware errors, despite being up to date, that prevent it from printing is unacceptable. How bad is HP at software engineering? You've been making printers for decades, get your shtuff together.

Works fine for now for basic printing and scanning. This mashine is huge and heavy! I cannot believe 5 decades into this technology, HP is still manufacturing such machines. This thing sits like an elephant in my study. I was in need of printer emergently, so I started using it. Had I bought this at a leisure time, I would have returned this hippo right away. It doesn't look like a decent moderate size laser printer. I have been using HP printers in my office for the past 40 years.
Update: After 2 months of light use (less than100 pages printed) of this dino size printer, I found out printer goes into sleep on its own, with front panel screen frozen. The only remedy is to unplug the printer and replug it. This is dangerous because this printer claimsto have remote access and functioning. I leave this printer alone for weeks at a time. And when I need it, I need it! I cannot hop on a plane from out of state to unplug/replug a printer. I trouble shooted the issue because of repeat malfunctioning. My AI sates that there is a firmware malfunction and the printer needs to be replaced. They will likely give me a run around, even though the firmware of concern hasbeenalready indentified: 6.28.3.30-202606111700. My AI recommends that replacing the whole machine is appropriate rather than resetting and trouble shooting a brand new machine. Next 2 weeks,I will be on a business trip, so I cannot be avail for their contact, but I will try toget to the bottom of this when I return.

Have had issues with scanning (have to restart for it to find the computer on the network) since I got it 16 months ago. Lately it gets stuck initializing on startup, just sits there thinking for days. Pretty sure HP altered the firmware to cause this since the warranty is over. They're trying to push people to the "rent a printer" model where they ship you a printer and supply ink for a monthly payment. Screw you,HP. Either you're cheating me or can't make a lightly used printer last over a year and a half. I'll never buy another HP product.

This would be zero stars if possible.
The printer was a replacement for the Brother that I had for 9 years, that printer survived 2 serious floods where it was submerged and still recovered.
This HP printer was set up mid January. By March it was NOT working. The automatic document feeder was unable to scan or print without a black line through it, and it would not print using paper from the main tray so I had to hand feed single sheets of paper though the alternate tray. Oy. I spent over 4.5 hours, across 2 days with two different techs doing the same troubleshooting and video calling so they could walk me through the proper set up on my pc and printer to no avail. They sent me a new one, being that it was under warranty. But they had to send a refurbished one, because that is the only option even though my NEW 5 week old printer was not working properly.
Well, guess what? Every day since they sent the printer they emailed asking if I got it and when I'd send the other one back. I set up the refurbished one. The document feeder makes an AWFUL grinding noise and will not pull papers so now I need to scan things or copy them one sheet at a time. I sent a video. No response. I sent a follow up. No response. I called and left messages on voicemails. No response. A week later, a response. "I'm glad to hear your printer is working well, make sure you send back the other one this week or we will charge you". Oh, no, ma'am, my printer is not working well, or at all actually. Please help. Every day for 4 days. no response.
I need a refund and hopefully this will help someone else say NO TO HP products. I can not wait to go back to Brother.

Prints with a snowy haze!

It looks neat, but consumes a lot of ink. I purchased it less than a year ago, printed fewer than 500 pages, and it’s already showing low ink.

Garbage printer. I have purchased HP everything for my small business for over 15 years. This purchase is a huge and expensive mistake. I've owned this printer for only 2 months and it's been non stop jammed paper (clean, fresh copy paper), lost wireless connections (never been a problem-ever!) Now I have toner lines streaking down both sides of my copies and printed documents. Tried opening the machine up 3 different ways to clean the gears. There is no to access. The only place this printer belongs is in the trash.

BUYER BEWARE! This printer ships with "setup cartridges" (quote from HP) which are only good for a few pages, THEN you will need to spend another $500 immediately after purchasing to replace them. I spent over 1.5 hours on the phone with HP support and all they did was spin and pass me from person to person. If you love absolute aggravation, this is the printer and company you need to do business with.
Update: See attached picture of "Introductory" cartridges that were included with the printer.

Update: I was able to get the app to find my printer. However my comment about their support website not recognising serial numbers and not being able to get help because of that stays.
Unfortunately I will say that so far to me this has been garbage. The app cannot find the printer even though the printer and the phone are connected to WiFi. I try to contact support and before I can talk to anyone I have to enter the serial number. I enter the number off the label, listed right next To the words “Serial No” and their website doesn’t recognise it. It’s impossible to get support without a serial number entered on their website and, unfortunately their website doesn’t it recognise their product serial number. Sorry but this is garbage.

I’m never going back to inkjet. This printer is very easy to use and the toner should last a lone time. The prints look like a page out of a book or magazine. The scanning just worked on my Mac without need to install anything.

Ordered to replace my old hp laser jet. I wanted to be able to print from my apple phone and to scan documents to my computer. Works great. There was the problem with the starter toners. Order replacements when you by this unit cartridge doesn’t long. But as long as you know up front it is still worth buying. I ordered the extended cartridge when I bought.

This printer model is equipped with Dynamic Security. Firmware upgrades are not downgrade-able. You will not be able to use non-HP cartridges in this printer on new firmware releases for this printer. This is extremely customer-hostile behavior from HP. I would accept a voided warranty for using non-HP toner cartridges, but do not accept that the printer now just refuses to print with non-HP cartridges. I bought the printer, it should be my printer to print how I like just as it should be HP's prerogative to deny any warranty claims if I so choose to use non-HP toner cartridges. It should never be HP's prerogative to not let the printer print with non-HP cartridges in it. That's like a car manufacturer remotely disabling a car that it detected has non-name brand gasoline put in it. Buyer beware.

This screen is messed up not sure what this is. I will return this new printer.

I purchased the HP Color LaserJet Pro 3301sdw. I chose to buy a used printer from the HP Store instead of a new printer. The HP printer is awesome! Setting up the connectivity to my WiFi network was the easiest setup of any printer I have owned. I downloaded the HP Smart app for MacOS to setup the scanner. The HP Smart app is easy to follow and the scanner works perfectly. Another aspect I really like about this HP printer is the small footprint. It is much smaller than previous Multi-Functional Printers. The HP printer has a clean, slim design and it operates quietly. Highly recommend this HP MPF for small office or a busy family.

Real barn burner of a printer.
Quiet, great for small office/ home application.
Very user friendly, sets up in a jiffy.

This is a relatively compact office-quality printer. It is on the low end of office printers which puts it heads and tails above home quality printers, but nowhere near as fast as the high-end office printers. I'm using it as a home printer so it is a little higher-end than I need, but I love having the laser print and the automatic duplex. The colors can be a little off when printing digital photos, but that appears to be a setting issue because when I copy a color magazine page it comes out exactly the same. Highly recommend!

The Delivery was a used printer in an obviously opened box and the toner installed.

Picture quality is great, great buy, easy to connect, does everything is wanted.

Printer is fine. It’s quite noisy though
I just wonder WHY do delivery people insist on leaving your packages in the only spots that could kill you trying to get them??!! Directly in front of door so that you can not get out of your house! OR in the center of the porch so you step on it and break it or your hip!! I don’t get it 🤦♀️

This printer is Great to have. We got it during a sale around the holiday season in 2024. I have another flatbed scanner and printer which doesn't have auto feed, or scan to email, USB, share drive or SharePoint. I have a lot of documents that are getting heavy to move around and will continue using this device to digitize my artifacts. Setting up Scan to Email was a bit tricky, but after calling HP support, I was able to get the device set up to use my Gmail account for scan to email. Would buy again, but hopefully it lasts and I won't need to.

So I bought this printer because it was a laserjet and good price. However it’s always getting this critical error after every print job, when it goes to sleep it basically shuts off and has to be manually turned on. If it fails to print you have to cancel all jobs, then restart the printer and restart the computer. 50 percent of the time that kills the driver and the printer has to be reinstalled. All sign in info from the manual is incorrect so can’t change anything from admin settings. Definitely need to consider this before purchasing this printer.

This is my 3rd HP color laser jet printer. I like HP products. I have always found them to be reliable. This model was cheaper than some of their other models and it had all of features I wanted (print, copy, scan).
My only drawback was the width which is 16.5 inches (height and depth were acceptable). The reason this is a problem is because finding a suitable stand that is not overly large to fit this particular dimension is difficult. I wanted to place it on top of a standard file cabinet. The width of most file cabinets is approximately 15 to 15.5 inches maximum. Therefore, since I wanted to place it on top of a file cabinet (I wanted the storage of a file cabinet beneath my printer in my home office) I had to improvise. So I purchased a sheet of wood from a local hardware store. Had it cut to 20 by 20 inches and then I rounded the corners. See attached pictures for setup.
The package arrived and it is quite heavy! The contents were well packaged. Setup was easy following the included instructions. I did not need to load any special software on my HP laptop. I connected it wirelessly.
Thus far it works perfectly.

Print, I have been looking at this preserve for a while and it was on sale at Sam's club and it was actually cheaper here. I think it's great quality and it solves a lot of problems from me when I work from home. Quality printing is perfect for presentations.

This printer arrived with a broken automatic document feeder. I took it apart, reassembled it, and the ADF started working again. Annoying, but fixable if you are comfortable reassembling printer parts. I did notice the scans done via the ADF were sometimes stretched at points, indicating the ATF rollers weren't completely grabbing the paper. Great.
Then the firmware wouldn't update. The self test reported the network connection was working, and I could print to the printer via the network, so I knew the network was good. But it wouldn't download the firmware when the printer was connected via ethernet. I had to remove ethernet, switch to Wi-Fi, let the firmware update fail once, before it finally worked the second try on Wi-Fi.
Then, the scan to network folder wouldn't work. Frustratingly, there is no error message. The "scan" button is just greyed out. Okay, HP gives you a utility in the printer's web interface to verify it can connect to the network folder. This step passes. Scan button is still greyed out. No network scans over ethernet.
For kicks, I tried doing a network scan over Wi-Fi. This worked! Maybe this would be alright if the Wi-Fi didn't intermittently reconnect. (the printer boasts that it will automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi. The fact they have to advertise this is suspect... maybe put a better NIC in these printers??)
I'm at my wit's end with this printer and I've only had it for 2 hours. A printer shouldn't take this much troubleshooting to get set up.

This printer is amazing quality, well made, durable, quiet and sturdy.
Easy set up, begin printing right out of box.
Prints, copies and scans perfectly in seconds.
The colors are extraordinary.
I would highly recommend.

This HP Color LaserJet Pro is a fantastic all-in-one solution suitable for both home and office use, excelling in printing, scanning, and copying. Here are some key highlights from my experience:
Ease of Setup and Connectivity:
Simple to get started and connect to Wi-Fi.
Easily integrates with all devices on the same network, making it a breeze to use across various platforms.
The scan-to-email function works very well and is straightforward to set up.
User Interface and Build Quality:
The touchscreen is highly responsive and easy to use, simplifying navigation and operation.
The build quality is robust, though the printer is a bit on the heavier side.
Performance:
Print quality is excellent, producing clear and vibrant documents.
Scanner quality is equally impressive, capturing details accurately.
Fast printing speeds ensure efficiency, especially useful in a busy office environment.
Considerations:
The printer only accepts HP official cartridges with chips, which can be quite expensive.
No additional software installation was needed to start using the printer on Windows 11, enhancing the user experience.

This is my first home colour laser printer/MFP, though I’ve previously owned monochrome laser printers/MFPs and colour ink printers. I’m extremely happy with it so far. It’s an excellent printer.
The printer is attractive, and the build quality is great. The plastic might not hold up with very heavy use in a large office, but for a small businesses or home users, it looks like it should last for years. It’s an ideal printer/scanner/copier for those users.
The device works on Windows 11 PCs and Macs out of the box, without having to install any software (except maybe the Windows scanning app, if this is your first scanner), both for printing and scanning. The absence of a need to install third-party software is great for system consistency and reliability.
To set up the printer/MFP, I simply removed it from the box, removed the tape and protective foam, plugged it in, selected the language and connected to my Wi-Fi network. It automatically appeared on my Windows PC, and it was added to my Mac with a few clicks.
I’ve previously used large and very expensive colour laser printers at work, and the quality of the output from this one comes very close. It also supports all of the standard features like automatic 2-sided printing. At 26 ppm for printing, this printer is also fast, though of course not as fast as more expensive models designed for corporate/organisational use.
To demonstrate the print/scan quality, I’ve attached a screen capture of part of a test document with colours, along with a photo of the printed output, a photo of a copy of the printed output and a scan of the printed output.
The only negative of this printer is that the toner cartridges (it only accepts cartridges with official HP chips) are fairly pricey. Unlike ink cartridges, however, they tend to last a long time. The approximate page yield of standard 218A cartridges is ~1300/1200 black/colour, or ~3200/2500 black/colour for high yield 218X cartridges.
Overall, I can highly recommend this printer for small business and home users. It’s new, so I can’t comment on long-term durability, but I’ve had very good experience with previous HP printers at work and at home, so I expect similar quality.
