Not particularly first time user friendly, you would need to know how to adjust the device to your drawing habits, and collaborate it with whatever drawing app you are using. It takes some getting use to.

Stopped working

Worked great, only issue I initially experienced was the device not connecting even when it was plugged in so I had to rattle around the port thingy until it said it was connected. About a month after purchasing and just a few days after the return period ended, all the side buttons stopped working :/ incredibly disappointed 💔

beginner friendly

Super beginner friendly, Ive literally drawn on my phone with my finger my whole life and I’ve been wanting an upgrade for the longest but can’t afford a tablet 😔 Its super easy to figure out and use, and its so smooth and feels just like it would drawing on paper. The buttons on the left end are customizable and so is the sensitivity so its pretty neat. I connected it to my pc and use the Krita program

Fully functioning!

Works just fine! Compatible with PC and iPad. Though the sensitivity will take some getting used to (due to the size of the pad, it won’t cover as much area on the PC but otherwise it’s great!)

Easy to use!

I really love this drawing tablet! It has a smooth surface and the pen draws smoothly. I got the medium size, which I recommend if you aren't going to carrying anywhere. I downloaded the drive and it works fine with it. It came a day early for me, which made me happy. It is very easy to use. I highly recommend to beginners!

Solid buy if its on sale

Genuinely way better and more seemless than it has any right to be. Great introduction into the world of tablets. Works as reliably as your windows would let you. Decent size for the price

Customer Service Lacking

I have been waiting forever to get an exchange on this tablet and it’s been a back and forth request for video of the issue which I have sent, but no real resolution. Tablet is not working or turning on.

Love this!

Bought this for my son and he absolutely loves this pen tablet! I played around with it for a bit and I thought it was gonna be difficult to get past looking at the screen while drawing on the table but we both picked it up pretty fast!

The USB port/cable is of poor quality. Almost unusable.

Poor quality usb cable/port. Have t ok play around with it to establish a reliable connection.

such a cool product

I purchased this to try to design some tattoos for myself because all the art I found did not feel like “me”. I purchased the Linearity Curve software, downloaded it to my Mac, and connected the drawing tablet and got to work. It’s super easy to use, and you can customize the buttons to do certain actions (like zoom in, zoom out, copy, paste, delete, etc.). It’s super light weight, the pen is comfortable to hold, and not too sensitive but sensitive enough. I’m happy with it and plan to continue to experiment more with it.

Cheap material - broken out of the box

I was initially thrilled when I received my new drawing tablet in the mail, but my excitement was short-lived...

To give you some context, I've used various tablets in the past, including Microsoft Surface, iPads, Samsung tabs, and drawing laptops. I have a good understanding of graphic and pen tablets, so I knew what to look for in my next purchase.

The Huion Inspiroy 2 L had some great features:

- 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity

- A new PW110 stylus

- 60-degree tilt recognition

- Multiple customizable buttons

- A 10-inch by 6-inch work area

Another aspect of the tablet that truly captured my interest was the customizable buttons and multiple user profiles, which allow for up to 27 programmable keys. I also liked that it was suitable for left-handed users.

However, there are some downsides to consider:

- No Bluetooth connectivity

- Connecting a phone significantly reduces your usable drawing area

- It has a scroll wheel instead of a dial

- Cheap plastic material

- Software is not beginner-friendly

My main issue with this pen tablet is the lack of quality control. As you can see in the video, some buttons feel tactile and "clicky," while others do not. What's worse, the scroll wheel on my tablet was broken, likely a hardware issue since the other buttons worked fine.

And just to address potential concerns:

- I downloaded the latest drivers

- I tried it on different devices

- I experimented with different drawing programs

- I attempted to reconfigure the scroll wheel's functions

After a while I managed to get the tablet to register a small constant signal, but the scroll wheel remained constantly pressed, making it unusable.

In summary, the Huion Inspiroy 2 L tablet had great potential, but it's marred by quality control issues that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.

Producto aparentemente usado y lápiz dañado

Me llegó una tabla aparentemente usada, sucia, rayada y sin los empaques de fabrica. El lápiz llegó dañado, la punta estaba salida y al ponerla en el lápiz se caía.

Great alternative to iPad

I like to write my notes out in classes but I didn’t want to spend money on an iPad or any other tablet. I came across this during my research and it is the perfect budget friendly alternative. It’s really easy to install and I simply added PowerPoint to the list of programs that it can be used with (it also works with Word drawing function as well). After that, it’s usually good to go as soon as I plug in the USB. The pen has excellent pressure sensitivity and mimics my handwriting quite well. It’s also really lightweight. The small drawback is that occasionally I have to “calibrate” the pen when the sensitivity is off. However, that’s also super easy as it simply requires opening up the program again and going to the “pressure sensitivity” tab. With the exception of small scratches from the pen, the tablet has been quite durable and able to withstand year long graduate level program lectures. Definitely recommend!

A Great Tablet

This is my first Huion. Prior to this I have only used Wacom. My Wacom Intuos Pro broke and I didn't want to shell out another $300+ for a new one and decided to check out the competitors. After a lot of browsing I decided to go with this one, mainly because of the scroll wheel.

Overall this is a great tablet. It's everything I was hoping for. Comparing to my previous tablet, It's slimmer and lighter. The stylus works just as well with good sensitivity. It took me a bit to adjust to the "eraser" not being on the other end of the stylus but it's conveniently set to a button. Button settings are easy to customize as well as the stylus sensitivity all within the app. Responsiveness is good and the drivers actually work, which is an improvement from the Wacom drivers.

All that's left is to see how long it survives. I have been using it for about 3 months and I will update if/when it breaks.

good for anyone

its good its got pretty amazing pressure sensitivity and it tracks really well, its also small so its easy to take with you anywhere

Solaire

It's actually really good for the price!

I've drawn before, but I never started taking it seriously until now. I decided I'd look into something affordable since I don't have much to spend on art right now. I came across this tablet expecting it to function decently, but I was blown away with how well it actually performs. Using a drawing tablet for the first time, I can see why some people love digital art over traditional. The H640P is so smooth and has over 8000+ levels of pressure for pen strokes. Although there's no screen portrayed on the actual tablet, that didn't pose too much of an issue. For a beginner tablet, this is certainly worth the price I paid, and honestly I might've even paid more for it knowing it actually performs as well as it did. Highly recommend it if you're just starting off in art.

Pros:

-Battery-free pen

-8 extra nibs

-Lightweight

-Comes with a USB-C (Thunderbolt) Adapter

-8000+ Pressure Levels

-Customizable buttons on the driver (which is very easy to install from Huion's website)

Cons:

-Wired only. No wireless accessibility or bluetooth capability

-No longer comes with an artist's glove

-Pen holder is a little flimsy

-Can be somewhat buggy on certain software

-Pen is on the slightly heavier side (but this rounds down to overall preference)

Perfect size and amazing for beginners to dip their toes in the water with

The pervious review i made was really long so here’s a shorter and simplified version. The tablet arrived just on time and everything came in the package except gloves. The tablet was smaller than i expected but was the perfect size actually, this is my first drawing tablet, i used a Lenovo l390 yoga which is a screen tablet that has a small stylus. I was more use to the screen tablet so adjusting to the drawing tablet took a bit of work but i eventually got the hang of it after some time. I had issues that were just a result of getting use to the tablet that i never have anymore, like the stylus being to light, the surface of the drawing tablet being too slippery, which was just me adjusting from what i was using previously. After i got use to drawing on it i never had this issue anymore. If the surface is too slippery for you (Which it really isn’t after you get use to it) you can get a tablet cover for it. Don’t act on the issue you have in the beginning right away though, it might just be you adjusting to what you used before. I compared it to random things to roughly get an idea how big the tablet is

Very impressed. As good as Wacom.

I am so pleased with the Huion H640P! My Wacom Bamboo I use for my photography business is no longer supported by the new Mac OS and I didn’t want to spend the $$$ on a new Wacom product right now, so I decided to try a less expensive version to edit photos with. It was very simple to plug and play, however, I was disappointed at first because I felt like the performance and sensitivity were nowhere near the performance of a Wacom product. After about 24 hours, I discovered I could download the drivers for my computer and WOW. I was able to set custom shortcut keys on the tablet, set custom values for the buttons on the pen tool, adjust the pen sensitivity to the perfect “feel” for me, and set the screen size on the tablet to match the size of the screen on my iMac. I’m very, very impressed. I can’t tell any difference in this product versus my previous Wacom products. My son is enjoying practicing drawing with it at the moment. 😊

Best Drawing Pad for Starters

The pad was a bit smaller than expected but not too different. I had to buy my own glove but honestly I don’t really need it. The pen is also a lot lighter than I expected, but I got used to it. Either way, I love it and I would highly recommend it to beginners like me, it’s in budget but great. Sometimes the software or pad glitches whenever my computer goes to sleep and I use it after (for example, it usually gets very hypersensitive to movement). If this happens to you, just try turning off the computer and the pad should be working the way you like it. I also recommend setting up the pad to how you like it, like pressure and sensitivity, there are so many ways to get the best out of it. Overall, it’s easy to use and I love it!

P.s. They give you replacement tips ( idk why but I think it’s a pro :) )

Victor

Easy to use.

Update 12/18/2019

The manufacturer contacted me and offered a replacement, I live in the middle of nowhere so I rejected the offer, it was a good deal anyway and shipping it back would be more expensive. They also mentioned that all models now include the OTG adapter so, save some money and just order the tablet if you are undecided. I added one star because of the good customer service. Still 4 stars because the tablet will perceive the pen around 1-2 centimeters away and it can not be adjusted, this is annoying for me as would like it to be as close as paper as possible, but the cursor gets away every I raise my hand or fingers just a tiny bit.

Original review.

The tablet is fine and all, had never used one so can't compare to other brands, worked out right after connecting it to the PC. I am knocking 2 stars because I could tell it was pre owned and had signs of use. It even came with the OTG adapter (sold separately, according to the manuals)

Beginner Friendly

I have absolutely no experience with drawing tablets, but after seeing several good reviews from experienced digital artists on YouTube I got the H950P instead of the cheapest tablet out there. I'm very grateful I did! Although this would be considered a medium sized tablet, it is almost too large for me, which will allow for growth as I get used to it. Driver installation was a breeze but getting my MacBook Air to place nice with the pen recognition was a little more of a challenge (my own inexperience, not blaming Huion). Ignoring the programmable buttons for now, I jumped into drawing in Autodesk SketchBook (no experience) and was able to make this drawing after only having the tablet for 24 hrs. Digital "painting" is a blast. No traditional paint to clean up.

My only complaint is at one moment I experience exceptional lag. I took a break from the program and come back to it later, no problem. Too new at this to know if its user error or not, but in spite of this, I am very happy with the tablet.

If you can afford it, then buy it.

I will admit, the price for this tablet is pretty high but compared to the other drawing tablets it sit at a decent price range, not to high but with enough quality to get the job done. With it only needing one cable to operate on your pc it perfect. Downloading the drivers is easy, trust me. It easy to reprogram the buttons if needed. The one problem I have with this is not with the tablet but is with the pen, because the button that protrude outward is sitting near the center of the pen, none of your fingers will be leaning on it which make it easy for it to spin and lost the button position so you will have to stop what you doing to find it. A simple fix to this is to wrap tape around it with a tiny flap at the top of you pen or where your palm will be so you know that your pen is at the right position.

Ouch (4 months later)

+Stable software saves a ton of time compared to Wacom

+Price is not bad at all compared to Wacom

-The way the pen pressure works, you have to put a certain amount of pressure on the pen for it to register as a pen-press at all. As a result, no matter what you do to the sensitivity settings, you're forced to draw with less of a loose and easy grip (as I had with my Intuos) and more of a "toddler furiously pushing crayon" grip, which causes my hand to hurt very quickly and significantly.

Despite the fantastic pros to this tablet, to which I'm willing to throw the 3 star bone, the one issue is pretty major. If Wacom software weren't unbelievably dysfunctional I'd switch back to my Intuos because the pain is an actual problem. When I get a job again I'll definitely be looking for an alternative.

Oh, also: If you're having problems with it not working in a program, make sure to uninstall all other tablet drivers.

Perfect for beginners!

For any first time digital artist or animator, an inexpensive, quality tablets that helps expand your abilities is a must-have. Much like products of equal quality for MUCH more, this tablet is perfect! I honestly wish I had purchased it when I was starting out. It is convenient, durable, has a very sleek design, and now that I have one, I probably will not let it go. It's definitely my new favorite thing to use as an art tool. I am able to work faster with higher quality, thanks to the key buttons. The tablet pen has a very sleek design and is long, which is a very nice asset. I love the design of them. Although you can't flip the pen around and use the other end as an eraser like you can with Wacom, this tablet makes up for it with the tablet keys and allows with multiple interchangeable customization. Although I had a couple difficulties with syncing the tablet to my desktop at first, I thoroughly enjoyed this product and what it has to offer. Thank you, Huion, I'll definitely be using this tablet a lot more than my others !

Great for doodling and first time like meee!!!

I use this for doodles. Im not a pro and i dont really have amazing drawing skills. I just watch youtube for tips. I dont ever notice lag with the pen. I use free softwares like krita and fire alpaca. However on firealpaca (windows) the sensitivity is a bit buggy when i press the middle button takes maybe a minute for me to press it over and over for it to go back to the brush cause

Even if i do it on the bar, once i hover the pen on the tablet it goes back to eraser.. but i think that’s just a bug on the software and pen and the os bec it doesnt happen on my MacBook.. i find that it works well on krita but fire alpaca is my preferred program. I haven’t tried it on photoshop or sai but i read from reddit that it also works well with those programs.i didnt expect the pressure sensitivity to work wellbe but it did. I have no complaints. Attached a line art i did for my brother’s cake and the other just doodling xd used fire alpaca for both doodles

Take the chance!

For its price, I thought it there would be something wrong with it. I was wrong. I've had it for about 2 months and so far I love it to the moon and back.

Something I want to point out is that it looks really sleek with the minimalist design. The pen is nice to hold and battery-free (although at first, I was not really sure how that works) and the pen stand is actually really cool. If you pop the top off, it comes with eight nibs, and it has a little hole on the back where you can pull out an old nib. And to put the size in perspective, it's a little bit bigger than an iPad mini, but I don't seem to need more room.

Well enough about how much I like how it looks. Here's what I think of the tablet itself:

So if your planning on getting this as a Christmas present, don't worry too much if you can't download the driver at first since for me the website wasn't working for a while since a bunch of people would be trying to download it at the same time. As far as I know, it works on most drawing programs and all the ones I've used. But on Krita (here's the only bad thing about this) sometimes the pressure sensitivity doesn't work and you have to disconnect and reconnect the tablet or quit Krita and try again. I've heard that this is actually Krita's fault but I'm not sure. But when it works; which is most of the time; the pressure sensitivity is ACTUALLY hecking AMAZING.

If it doesn't feel like "you" then you can just change the pressure sensitivity settings. I really like the buttons on the tablet and especially on the pen. I put control z on the pen's buttons and now I prefer this a lot more. Another note on the driver, Huion recommends that you uninstall any other drivers you have before downloading, so yeah. Overall incredible tablet (a bit better than Wacom :P) and I think you'd be pleased if you decide to get it.

Q

Qapla

The Huion performs amazing and was very easy to set up and there ...

I used a Wacom Bamboo Splash for about 5 years before i decided to get a new tablet. This tablet is slightly smaller, but the surface is smooth and the nib hardly shows any wear even after using it to draw for several hours. With the Splash tablet, the nibs would get run down fairly quickly.

The Huion performs amazing and was very easy to set up and there are far more customizing options here than with the Wacom one (which was more expensive and didn't have any extra buttons other than the two on the pen).

The cord is also nice and long so I don't have to sit so close to my computer. It's comfortable in my lap or on the desk. I don't recommend small tablets to artists with wrist problems but for anyone else, it's great for beginners or advanced artists. I have had no software problems either. The Huion works well with the SAI program I use to draw and doesn't randomly disconnect from my computer or program like the Wacom one did.

Over all this is a great, affordable tablet and I am very happy with this purchase.

Rayna

Perfect for beginners and professionals.

It's compact and frustration free, making it super easy to just pick up and get to work.

I love the design, it is sleek and simple, no sharp edges to irritate your wrist after long hours of drawing, as well as a very comfortable passive pen.

The driver had no issues with Windows 10 and Mac Sierra.

I tote this around with me to and from my job in the same zip-up case as my iPad and it travels very well.

Honestly, I have used many tablets both with and without screens over the years and I recommend this as my first choice for a budget drawing tablet.
