I had a kamvas 16 before this. Which was my intro to pen displays and huion as a brand. I loved it. As I progressed in my career I needed more screen size. That was my main need. I wasn’t prepared for what I was missing! The screen texture and quality is so much better since it’s glass (textured) you get better precision and the friction is spot on. The new pen tech lets me get so much out of each psd brush! I love the mood lighting and the stand ergonomics. Very sturdy. If you’re torn between this version or the older 24 in, get this. 22 is plenty big for photoshop or as a second monitor. I also have the huion mini keyboard thing with psd keys programmed for a faster animation workflow.

Parallax is egregiously poor, everything else is good.
The pen is horrible. Ive calibrated it so many times correctly, and I researched other people's experiences. There is no fix to this. The parallax is terrible. The display and buttons are amazing, but please buy the v2 with updated pen tech. There is a v2 for a reason.

Display stopped working after just 6 months
I’ve been using this tablet for about 6 months and never had an issue like this before. When I turn the tablet on, the screen remains black, and no “no signal” or power-saving message appears. The tablet still works both as a screenless tablet and as a regular tablet, it’s the display that isn’t working.
So far, I’ve tried:
Restarting PC/turning just about everything off and on again
Checking that everything is plugged in properly
Trying every single USB port
Reinstalling tablet drivers and USB controllers, using different types of drivers
Running the driver software with admin privileges
Updating Windows 11, USB drivers, graphics drivers
Connecting red USB-A to a power adapter and into an outlet
Testing my laptop HDMI port
But I have not being able to find a solution for this issue.

Gets the Job Done
It works splendidly and has helped me complete a lot of my artwork. It only gets 4 stars because I wish it had a left-handed mode. It was easy to set up, and the buttons make everything transition smoothly from drawing to colouring.

Wouldn’t recommend or buy again
Worked great until about the 6 month mark. Pen will not calibrate to the screen. Customer service is absolutely unhelpful. Followed all the troubleshooting steps they sent me, and when that didn’t work they just stopped responding. Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software works until you restart your PC. The screen is scratched easily, so you will need a screen protector. The power cord is short, and the port on the tablet is too deep and narrow for a usbc extension cable, or at least I haven’t been able to find a compatible one in the last 8 months.

So Far So Good - Natural Feel
I actually prepared myself to not like this - just so I wouldn't force myself to use it if it didn't feel right. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall feel and capabilities of the device. I am coming from a Wacom Intuos 4 which, after a new MacBook Pro upgrade, has become increasingly difficult to install install stable drivers. STARTING OUT I found it quick and easy to configure my shortcut menus. The only difference I miss from Wacom is setting more than one custom shortcut menus. The STYLUS is light and has a natural feel to it - both the soft and rigid tips. I jumped into Autodesk Sketchbook and again was able to make quick adjustments to make sketching feel like before. In the attached garbage drawing, I jumped between a only two brushes for sketching and tested out a few textures. The SCREEN is not too glossy and easy on the eyes. The friction between the stylus tip and screen surface makes for a great experience -- I don't feel like I'm going to scratch through the glass (...like when I test drove an Apple Pencil on iPad). The KICKSTAND turns out to be quite useful. I've never used anything like this before but I can see it becoming part of my normal setup. To NEW USERS, I was able to use a single USB-C for both my display and power (which wasn't obvious at first). As for locating a CASE, I landed on a Mosiso 18.5 inch laptop sleeve. The screen is snug in the sleeve and there is more than enough room to stow the kickstand and other accessories (if you need all of them). I included a picture o that as well since I couldn't really find anyone with a well-documented or photographed setup. Anyway, that's all I got.

Drawing display that's not good for the long run
First think I'd like to point out is that the display worked perfectly fine when I purchased it in 2022. Throughout my time using it I notice that the cable port had began becoming loose, and I'd like to say that I rarely took the cable out of the display. Aside from the occasional cleaning of course. Ive had some flickering issues throughout the time ive had it, tried changing cables but ive had no permanent fixes with this issue. This past February I notice that the border around the display has a purple or pink hue. I don't know how long it's been like that, could be longer than I could ever know. I reached out to costumer service, after a couple of days they responded with a ICC or ICM file to input on my pc. It was negligible since it barely did anything, it just made the display a little brighter. Huion didn't want to replace it since it was out of the convenient two year warranty.
I'd like to add that I had a few other cheap drawing tablets and all turned out pretty disappointing. Somehow I thought a $900 display would be better for the longevity, but that turned out to be wrong. Honestly I'm done with the "cheap" brands that only make these devices that are only good for a few years. I think we are long past the driver issue, when now it's time to really think about hardware sustainability. Huion and xp pen have to redeem themselves immensely in order gain the trust of the people.
It's sad when the only real reliable pen display out there is wacom. Xencelab I'm not sure about since I never used there product.
Conclusion, buy if you can purchase a new one every two years. If you can't I would suggest shilling for a wacom or finding a used wacom display. Don't waste your time if you on using it for a long time.

The pen is Squeaky
I bought this as a replacement for my old huion pro 16(1080p). It broke so I wanted one with a better display and the same size and this new one is perfect and solved a lot of the issues from the old one like the touch pad that often fails.
The main issue is the new pen it sounds so bad, I've tried my old one and that doesn't squeak like the new one. It was supposedly an upgrade but this ain't it. Pen2 didn't have the issue Pen3 has. I also replaced the nibs and the white ones are even worse.
Maybe keep the screen wet as a work around lol.

I want to like it
I want to like it but it doesn't work. The screen is a nice size and I like the design of the tablet, but I couldn't get the pen tracking to work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers 3 times and even tried an older driver and also toggled on/off windows ink, and I calibrated the pen a few times. I tried with multiple programs like Photoshop, Paint, and Clip Studio and they all had issues. I did contact Huion but because I was going back and forth from home to campus (I got the tablet over Thanksgiving break), I didn't always have it with me for troubleshooting and decided to just return it. I probably got a defective unit and hopefully you'll have better luck than me. This is the second Huion product I've tried that didn't work (I tried one of their larger 22" or 24" tablets a few years ago and returned it). Really hoping their quality control improves since I did want an alternative to Wacom and Huion does seem promising, but I just seem to have bad luck with them.

a $400 tablet that does not include the needed power supply! You’ll need a 10 Watt, 5V 2 Amp plug!
Second update: I am upping my rating from one star to 4 stars. Let me explain why. Customer service has been emailing me and going above and beyond trying to make sure that we were satisfied. At first I was very frustrated because they were just giving me the same information without the requested wattage, Requesting videos of things that weren’t part of the issue, and also giving contrary Information (ie telling me the display works without the power supply), and then seemed like they were trying to bribe for a better review. However when I called them on it
, the response seemed very sincere to me that even though they obviously care about their company reputation (which in itself is a good sign), they really stressed wanting to make sure that our issues and problems were resolved. I am giving the benefit of the doubt because I do believe some of it could be language translation issues/ cultural differences and I am impressed with their follow up. Anyway I finally got the confirmed answer to the recommended wattage and what the exact specifications the power supply should be! (10 watts , 5 volts, 2 amps). I just don’t think they fully understood what exactly I was asking for in the first several emails . They also generously gave us a partial refund for all of our troubles (without requiring us to edit this review).
As for the tablet my son really is enjoying it. It’s our very first writing tablet so I really don’t have much to compare to. As an amateur artist I do find the response a little sluggish but not bad After hooking it up to his faster computer. (Originally tried it on his laptop and it was a lot more sluggish response, I’m not sure why). However I suspect any tablet is going to be not as pinpoint perfect as pencil and paper. I love having the display! Very vibrant . (Not sure how others get used to using a drawing tablet without looking at it lol )The other thing that we noticed is that the tablet has a 60 Hz refresh rate and my son’s computer Has 165 Hz refresh rate on his monitor, and when he set it to that both the tablet and the computer crashed! He had to reset everything and set the monitor to the 60 Hz to match and then it works fine. Just sharing that as a heads up in case somebody else is running into troubles with that. I’m a little surprised that a 2.5 K display has only a 60 Hz refresh rate . But Other than that it seems to be working as it should be. I will update again in a few months and hopefully it will still be working as good as it supposed to :-). hope this helps!
Update: after emailing with customer support three different times and being told three different answers (At first it was 5 v 1 amp, Then they said 5 v3a, then the third time they said 5 v 2a but that it was OK to use the 5v3a. They never did give me an answer each email about the recommended wattage. Because using the correct power supply maters, and because they do not have a dedicated plug for this 2022 model , and they just want you to use the one for the 16 inch, I went through the specifications of the device itself and I found where it said that it uses 10 watts, 5v2amps. (See attached pic). My sons phone charger fit those specs perfectly so we were able to start using it. First dry run it was pretty glitchy with a Noticeable delay. Will update again when we’ve had a better chance to fully use it with different programs and get to know all the features.
I wish I could give this a thorough review but we cannot because we cannot operate it without the needed power supply! I understand companies not including a power supply if it’s an optional thing and not needed, but you’re not going to power this screen on without it. This was a birthday present to my son, imagine his excitement and then extreme disappointment. If you look through the product information above you will find in small print where it says it’s not included, but like I said companies only usually do not include power supplies if they are an optional accessory, not when it’s needed to run the darn thing! Furthermore if you go on their site to try to figure out the specifications of the kind of plug it needs it has no clear specifications. There’s also no product documentation showing you the specs of the plug you need to buy. This is beyond frustrating! This is my first and last huion product! We are still currently trying to re-search the exact specs to figure out what the power supply is safe to use, and I have reached out to the company, but no response yet.

Quality control is lacking/ I wish I had just spent more and got a Wacom.
Okay, I'm going to try and keep this brief.
Here are my issues so far:
1 - The display flickers inconsistently (as I show in the video).
2 - There is significant burn in (as I show in the photos).
3 - Pen sensitivity randomly spikes.
4 - The driver software is abysmal; barely functional.
5 - The keydial accessory I purchased alongside the pen-display has also been nothing but headache.
6 - Huion customer support non-responsive.
If you want more details, read on below.
1 – Display Flicker
This started happening out of the blue, it comes and goes. I thought it may have been the cables, troubleshooting cables individually has led me to believe that the display panel itself is defective.
2 – Burn in
This is beyond unacceptable for the cost. I noticed the image seemed washed out, which I thought was odd. I started by re-calibrating color and everything else- then I noticed the issue was burn in, plain and simple.
3 – Pen Sensitivity
Seemingly at random, regardless of how hard I push on the display, the mark that appears on the canvas in photoshop will be as though I was pressing hard into the display. Whatever line I am drawing will move from a clean, even line- to a blotchy mess. They tout the accuracy of their pens, my experience so far has shown these claims to be false.
4 – Driver Software
The driver software will randomly stop working correctly, or reset/change settings without my input. For example, if I am charging the keydial accessory the driver software will not allow me to access the settings for the display. Another example is the seemingly random resetting of the working area to my primary (standard) display. This means I tap on the pen-display, but the action occurs on my primary monitor.
5 – Keydial
The accessory has been a buggy mess, don’t buy it. Comparable third-party accessories are much nicer, and they work well. I learned the hard way, don’t be like me.
6 - Huion customer support non-responsive.
Self-explanatory. Of course, my product began to fail outside of the return window. If I could refund it right now and spend hundreds of dollars more on a product built for professionals- I would. Let someone else buy it first, this is NOT worth the cost/headache.
I know lots of people have had good experiences, I can only assume they were lucky and received panels with no manufacturing defects. I was not so lucky; I would advise against taking the gamble.

my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
Died today
...just a few months after the warranty ran out too ._.
RIP huion tablet you were really really cool when you worked...
I am very sad. It was very good before it died. Just the other day I said I was impressed with my graphics tablet and hoped to be using it in 10 years if possible. I didn't draw quite as much as I expected but it was great for online classes and I took a lot of calculus notes on it.
I was very careful to avoid scratches and to not put stress on the cord, and got a laptop case to put it in even when it was just sitting on my desk. When going periods of time without using it I was storing it vertically behind my monitor inside the case I got for it with nothing leaning on it (I was nervous someone might set something on top of it if it sat on my desk) ... I'm not sure what I could have done better.
Today when I turned it on, the left half of the screen was stuck white. The right half alternates between weird glitching and randomly displaying correctly. I'm not sure if you can see it in the video I included, but there was a weird burn pattern in the top left corner that was black and in the edges, and it was the strongest when I first turned it on today.
It is behaving like a screen that has been subjected to trauma somehow but I'm not sure how that could have happened. Maybe once when I wasn't looking and it was lying on my desk inside of the laptop case a cat sat on top of the laptop case and put some pressure on it? I don't know how that could have killed it but that's the roughest thing I can think of that might have happened to it. Also my cats are not large or fat.
I liked how this tablet worked in linux with unofficial drivers, sometimes I would use it to dual screen my laptop which was really useful, but I avoided that unnecessarily because I preferred not moving my tablet around in case that caused too much cable strain somehow, causing me to need a new 3 in one cable because I heard the cable was fragile and I wanted to be careful with it.
It was really hard to begin with for for me to decide against getting a cheap used laptop with a pen and digitizer screen off of ebay and going with this instead because I was a little worried this wouldn't last as well. I was hoping to use it for at least a few more years :(
I think the warranty only lasted one year.
If this tablet lasted to it's 2 year anniversary of me using it and not died a just few months after the warranty ended I would have given it two stars because it was great while it lasted and I will miss it.
...the fact that I paid $397 for this and it died just a few months after the warranty was over despite my concentrated efforts to make sure this tablet last years makes me feel ripped off.

Affordable and nice display tablet!
This is my first display tablet and really debated on whether to even splurge on one since I have grown well adept to using my trusty Wacom Intuous 5 Touch Medium non-display tablet. Needless, to say, I am glad I did, though. The transition went as well as I could hope for in that I like the pen, I like the screen and drawing/painting on it seems to be working very well. I, initially, did have an "Oh-No-Moment" when I fired up Clip Studio Paint Pro and the pen wouldn't register my strokes. I searched online and found a solution. I had to go to File > Preference > Tablet... and change the "Using Tablet Service" from "Wintab" to "Tablet PC." My computer is a desktop and not a "Tablet PC" but this seems to have done the trick.
Anyway, after using a non-display tablet for so many years and getting over the hand-eye-coordination thing, the transition to the display tablet was a bit jarring at first. But, I think, the transition will be much easier this time around because having a screen does make drawing more intuitive and fun. I even like the posture of hunching over the drawing, now, with the display tablet and harkens back to drawing on actual paper. Even, if it's not necessarily good for posture, it makes one feel more "focused." LOL! Speaking of hunching over, the new drawing position of the display tablet does introduce something I didn't encounter with a non-display tablet and that is my hand and pen does get in the way of what I am drawing a little bit. But, I think, my brain is just not used to this, yet.
Also, the pen does squeak when pressed hard. And, pressing hard on the screen does create those "ripple effects" from the pen pressure, which gave me pause at first. But, I think that is just inherent of LCD tech....
Other thoughts are... and not in any order... build quality is nice; feels solid since the front and back are made of aluminum; the default/out-of-the-box color of the display did not look out of whack and looked "normal" to my naked eye; I did tweak the colors a little bit to make it look closer to my reference monitor, which is an Asus PA238Q ProArt Monitor and supposedly "factory-calibrated;" so, just by eyeing it, I was able to get the Huion's screen to "match" my Asus monitor, which is possible due to the display's array of OSD settings, allowing one to adjust Gamma, Temperature, Color, etc...
More, thoughts... Installing the driver was semi-painless; the UI of the driver is at least easy to navigate and clearly labeled; I like that one can bind the 6 keys on the side of the tablet to whatever one wants; I wish the buttons did have an LED of some kind, though, because it is hard to see when drawing at night (but, that would probably add to the cost); the touch slider-strip thingy is cool and works and I use it to zoom-in-out of my canvas; but, it is very "touchy" and "sensitive" and gets activated, unintentionally, when sliding fingers to and fro from the other side buttons; my Wacom Intuous 5 pen and the Kamvas 16 Pro Pen are very similar in feeling to me, which is great; I do wish Huion supplied different nibs as Wacom does; and, not the same hard plastic nib times 8 or what-have-you (My Wacom Intuous 5 came with different style/material nibs; so, my preferred nib on my Wacom is actually made of some rubbery substance, so it's kinda soft when drawing)....
What else... that is all, for now... I have only had this for a day, but, wanted to post my initial impression in the hope that it can be of use to ppl out there making the same decision that I did. Thank you!

GREAT replacement for my Intuos5, with a better drawing experience than a Cintiq.
OVERALL RATING: 4.5/5 stars
I bought my Huion KAMVAS Pro 16 as a replacement for my Wacom Intuos5 Touch, which after only 3 years of moderate use was already on its last leg (faulty USB connector, flaky bluetooth connection, short battery life, along with several "dead spots" on the surface of the tablet itself.) I briefly owned a Cintiq 13HD in hopes it would be an upgrade, but after two months I sold it because: 1) I was very unhappy with the color quality compared to other displays, 2) how cumbersome it was to pack up and carry around and 3) the lag from where my pen touched the display and where it showed on the canvas, which was unfixable no matter how many times I re-calibrated. After using Wacom products since I was nine years old, my faith in the future of the brand is more or less exhausted.
After a few weeks of everyday use, I've come up with a list of pros and cons for the KAMVAS:
PROS:
- EXCELLENT colors! The display has honestly blown me away with how accurate and vivid it is. Even when I'm working in grayscale, the differentiation between shades is perfect.
- I love the 3-in-1 USB-C cable. It works great with my 2015 MacBook Pro, which has a built-in HDMI port. You need to buy a converter if you do not have a laptop with an HDMI port built in.
- The tablet is light yet obviously well-made, and fits great on the stand (included in the box.)
- NO LAG, and no drifting cursor unlike the Cintiq. Very nice.
CONS:
- The pen nibs. I do not like how rigid the pen nib is, though it does have a good amount of "give" when pressing down. You will definitely have to mess with the settings on the driver until you find your sweet spot. When I had my Wacom, I always used the felt nib and I really hope Huion decides to manufacture a variety of nibs one day. But hey, at least there are 6 replacement nibs in the donut-shaped pen holder, also included in-box.
- The pen itself. It does not have an eraser on the end of the pen, something I didn't realize would take as much getting used to as it has. But the two buttons on the side are programmable within the driver, which is nice.
- While the pen-to-display calibration is much better than the Cintiq, I did have to mess with it quite a bit to get it "just right."
- Minimalistic, slightly outdated driver. I was hoping to be able to customize more advanced settings, but I suppose I will have to wait. Definitely not an end-of-the-world scenario.
If you're like me and used Wacom products until now, I think you'll find this to be a great replacement—the pen might take some getting used to, though! And for the price, I am incredibly happy with the quality of the Huion KAMVAS.

For the price? Pure magic... even if it has some drift issues.
Initial Impression
The Huion Kamvas Pro has it's quirks, however; it seems to be a great piece of machinery for the value! While I cannot yet comment on the longevity of the device I hope to get at least two years of use out of it.
My previous tablet was a Wacom Cintiq Pro 16. The reason for the switch was due to the tablet failing after a little over two and a half years of use. The costs to repair the Cintiq was as much as it would have cost to buy three of these Huion Kamvas Pro units. I was disillusioned with Wacom's costs/help on the issue and chose to invest my money here with Huion.
Build wise it feels just as premium as my former Wacom Cintiq Pro.
The Screen
The Cintiq Pro's 4K screen easily bests the Kamvas Pro, however; for the value I'm perfectly happy with the screen quality. The colors may not be spot on perfect but again good enough for me. I can run color calibration software if I need it any better. It's also quite bright and easy to view in most indoor uses (I've not tried outdoors with it).
The Pens
Both (Wacom & Huion) pens, pen pressure wise, have the same 8192 levels of pressure and both feel quite good to work with. The Huion pen does make a squeak noise every now and again when drawing on the glass but it's a minor annoyance.
Let's go drifting!
The only true negative I have for the Huion Kamvas Pro is the pen drift. The pen does exhibit some drift (where the cursor is apparent to the pens tip on the screen) as you move the pen to different spots on the screen and even more so as you change the rotation and tilt angles of the pen in your hand. You can put the pen in the center of the screen, tilt the pen to different angles, and watch the cursor drift away from the tip. Even after calibrating it'll often be a millimeter or two away from the pen tip.
The Wacom Cintiq Pro Pens have very little noticeable drift and take a lead in this manner.
The drift can be a little frustrating at times to work with but it's not a deal breaker. I've found my self getting more accustomed to it as I've used the device.
Conclusion - 4.25/5
Great screen, great overall build quality (we'll see how long it lasts), and If they get that drift issue solved I'd recommend this device all day long!

Cable defectuoso
Buena tableta digital.

Hands down best value for the money.
The Huion Kamvas pro 16 is FAR from perfect. But when you consider a Wacom equivalent will easily cost $1500, or about 4x as much it's easy to forgive it for many problems. None have been deal breakers and can be fixed or worked around without a lot of pain or just don't affect the basic use of the display.
---First off The positives.---
I love the laminated display. This minimizes screen parallax and means where you are drawing is right under your pen. Next is the quality of the screen. While not perfect, it's nearly as accurate as my AOC IPS display. It's bright and the pixel response time is good enough for art, and I even played a bit of minecraft without problem to test it. The pen is also overall very good. I have not tried the tilt function but there is little if any input lag and I can see no line jitter, something that is a real problem on my surface pro 5. I am so happy with how well the pen tracks and never feel it's moving in a way I don't want.
---Now the negatives.---
First is the lack of a Linux driver. The tablet will work fine in Linux (tested in the latest version of mint) but you can not set the express keys. Not sure if calibration set in windows moves with the tablet or if it's part of the windows driver.
Next the driver seems unable to support German keyboards. If I want to use a shortcut that requires the use of the Alt Gr key(Like photoshops brush size shortcut), I'm out of luck. I can switch to a standard English keyboard, but it's not what I normally use.
Pen Calibration drift seems to be a major issue with my system. I calibrate the display and within hours, it's back to being .5 to 1 cm off. Not enough to be a problem, but noticeable. Most times I'm looking for the cursor on the display anyway and not the pen, so it's not a big deal to me.
Only HD 1920X1080. While Ok, 2k would have been better and 4k would be great. I know on my surface pro the difference is noticeable. I can see and work on more of my project even on a much smaller display. Something Huion should consider moving to for higher end models.
---In closing.---
In the end I just love this display and it has helped me improve my art quality immensely. I'm far from a pro, but I do create decent comic / cartoon style work. The example posted was created on this screen with Photoshop in windows. The work is mine but the character is kassen akoll, or Kass (C) Val Salia. Prior to this display I was limited to pencil and paper and never worked in color.
Only question is long term reliability. The display seems to be fine from reddit comments, it's the cable that seems to be the issue (though again from other reviews and reddit comments, I can not verify these). I don't move mine, ever. It stays attached and I don't move it out of fear of it breaking. Most complaints seem to indicate problems after a month, and I have just crossed that point. It's sad as they designed the screen with a very strong usb port that should not break. Easily the best design I have ever seen in a device. But I figure for the saving, if I have to replace the cable a few times a year I'll still be ahead of a wacom.

Updated! Still a steal but what happened?
To put it simply, I enjoy this tablet a lot. It's good for its price but the only issues I got would be three things:
1.) Coordination - where I put the tip of my pen is often a little off despite calibrating my screen with the angle i use. It's not too much of an issue but it's definitely something I notice.
2.) Bad connection - Plugged the given cords in and every now and again. I figure it's an issue with the cords but I caree for them with extreme care. They haven't done it in a while but I also make sure that nothing interferes with the cord that attaches the tablet to my laptop.
and the biggest one that has most of my concern is:
3.) The screen is coming off of my tablet. I included a photo and video that shows me pushing the screen back in but I just noticed it occurring about three days ago (it's 12/7/19). It's slowly gotten worse and I'm at a loss for what's up. It's a shame too, cause I was really hoping it'd last longer considering I got this 2 months ago and the price is hecken good for what you get (compared to Wacom's pricing). I'll be taking it up with the company on its website and see what happens though.
So buyer beware- there are minor kinks but overall, the product is good. It's a tablet, but I'd recommend it for people who've used a tablet for at least 3-5 years. Basically, this was just a review on the (minor) bad things that I've personally noticed. That doesn't mean it's bad though!! It's pretty darn amazing!
Edit (August 7, 2020):
After a few emails back and forth, I was able to return my original tablet for a new one after paying for shipping on both ends (summing to around an added $46 to the cost of the tablet). Much to my own dismay though, the tablet was sent back with a single sheet of scrap paper. With the video provided, it shows what I found as soon as I opened it.
1.) Why would you send an electronic item without reinforcing the product?
And
2.) was it because the shipping price sent to me specifically asked for $16 or so for just the tablet within the boxes? Because if so- why calculate a price for me that doesn’t include proper reinforcement?
Now, don’t get me wrong- I’m grateful for the new tablet since I didn’t have to glue it like I was originally told to (twice), but I can’t wrap my head around why I was sent a new tablet without proper reinforcement. I just want to know if anything goes wrong with this one within a year of receiving it, if I’ll be able to claim warranty. I wasn’t given any answers otherwise and just want to know. After all, It originally had issues within the first month of purchase and then after receiving a new one, it came without proper reinforcement. Nothing aside from the red screen has occurred since I first received the new tablet though so I’m grateful about that but if I’m going to be paying for a shipping cost that was calculated by the company, I would at least have been happy with reinforcements for the product, as the original had come with when it first arrived. After all, safely mailing electronics means packing it as tightly as possible as to not cause the product to slide around and cause damage during shipment. I tried to be happy with it but honestly- recalling the memory and seeing the video just rubs me the wrong way considering the price of this product along with the added costs of shipping it back and then being given a price to pay for a shipment back only to find it poorly packaged.
Overall:
The tablet itself works fine, though creating smooth lines for art seems to be out the door. I tried stabilizing the tools in my program but I believe it’s the tablet and the connection to its pen. Everything else seems to work fine though, so long as you calibrate it to your position and how you’ll hold your pencil.
—
TL;DR:
My initial issue is about how I was given a price for shipping the new tablet back (they have you pay to ship the original tablet you have back to the facility after 30 days and then they give you a price based on shipping it back) and was surprised/irked to find that the product arrive without proper reinforcement.
The tablet is great for its price, though callibrating the screen based on your position is key. I’d say it’s suitable for its price if you don’t want to spend the extra cash on Wacom screen tablets and works well.

I hope my girlfriend doesn’t read this lol
Okay so I bought the Huion GT191 for my girlfriend because it has lots of positive recommendations and it has a big screen.
But then I saw THIS went on sale, so I decided to get one for myself as well and OH BOI OH BOI this is the most “high-tech look” tablet I’ve ever held in my hands. Plenty of shortcut buttons to customize and the menu button becomes stand-alone, which is much more reasonable comparing to GT156 I’ve owned before.
I adore how lightweight it is and the smoothness of the surface. Had some problems with the drive but the Huion support was able to assist me immediately so I got it fixed real quick.
My new favorite tablet. Please don’t tell my girlfriend that I’m keeping this one. xD

Great Tablet with a Few Issues
I’ve been using the Kamvas Pro 16 for two weeks now and it is the first pen display I’ve owned. All in all, it’s a great tablet, with a few minor issues that may more or less bother some. To preface, I’ve used a few other tablets and pen displays including Wacom’s Intuos, Wacom Cintiq 22 for school, and the IPad 2018 w/ Apple Pencil (not Pro), so most of what I have to say will be in comparison to those.
First the good:
-The Price is affordable
-The design is sleek, clean, and the metal backing feels weighted and high quality
-the laminated display is a blast to draw, sketch, and paint on. It was probably the main buying point for me and I was not disappointed.
-the screen has a slight rough texture which in my opinion feels better to draw on than smooth glass like that of the IPad or non-pro Cintiq for instance
-Easy to setup and install, make sure you remove all other drivers
-the pen is comfortable and lightweight
-Express keys are nice. I use a few of them recurrently. The touchbar is better and can control multiple features with the function key
-Colors were pretty accurate out of the box with only a few minor tweaks
-It is absolutely the perfect size for my limited working area. A larger, say 22 in screen would have taken up too much space alongside an iMac
The iffy:
-Probably my biggest issue even though it’s a small one is the Pen’s nib. It moves ALOT when it contacts the screen. It clicks, it wiggles, and if you’ve used the Cintiq pro pen or the Apple Pencil, this could annoy you more than you might think. Though it might be something you can get used to...
-Calibration needs to be reset often, at least for me. It seems to get more off randomly upon startup
-The stand isn’t as versatile as I would have hoped, as there’s a large jump in its adjustable angles when moving it from 40 or so degrees up to maybe 75 unless there is something I’ve missed. I’ll continue to fiddle around with it.
Takeaway? I think Huion is well worth giving a shot and totally comparable in quality to some pricier alternatives. (I prefer it over the Cintiq 22 inch non-Pro tablet) I am loving using it so far and would recommend it for anyone looking to get working with a pen display for the first time or switching over from another brand.

Great & Affordable Tablet Monitor!
Huion’s really stepping up their game with the new tablet monitor releases! All the Kamvas products are priced very reasonably, much more so than other brands (we all know which one I’m talking about).
For some background before I start my review, I’ve used Huion pen tablets before (Q11K), the more expensive W brand pen tablets, and the iPad pro with the Apple pencil. I do art as a hobby, as well as for commission. The program I use with the Kamvas Pro 16 is Clip Studio Paint Pro. What I mainly look for in my drawing tablets is ease of use, workability in smaller work spaces, and cost efficiency.
Pros (Not in any order):
1. Comes with accessories – Extra Nibs, Pen holder, Art glove, Stand, Stickers, Cleaning cloth…
2. Color Display was great; I didn’t have to adjust brightness, contrast, and hues too much to reach true to color.
3. Little to no parallax!
4. Very slim and light – great for travel and can be easily stored.
5. Driver installed must easier compared to Huion’s older tablets (just make sure to fully delete any previous tablet drivers).
7. 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity (I tried to show the range in the video).
8. 3-in-1 cable makes it much more organized for a smaller desk area like mine!
9. Shortcut keys were easy to set-up in conjunction with my program.
Cons (Not in any order):
1. Initially, the drawing surface feels slightly rough, BUT after 30 min – 1 hour use, the screen/pen tip smooths.
2. Occasionally during linework, the line will ball up near the end (indicating a possible lag or “skip”) – DO NOTE, this only happened to me twice in the 12 hours I was testing it for the first time.
3. Only 6 shortcut keys; not a big deal for me since I mainly use 2 max, but could be a con for other people.
Overall, I’m loving the Kamvas Pro 16! It’s the perfect size, where it gives you just the right amount of working space you need. When you have quality like this, especially for that lower price tag, you really have no need for the more expensive brands. The Kamvas Pro also comes in a smaller size for a lower price, which I think is great for someone who doesn’t need the larger working area.
If I notice anything concerning in the future, I’ll come back and edit this review. Below, I included a piece that I completed with this tablet!

One of the Best, Budget-Friendly "PRO" device
Nowadays, every product with a "PRO" in the name gives off a vibe of luxury and performance. It used to mean exclusivity to professionals using that particular tool. The Kamvas Pro 16 is luxury and performance at a not-so bank breaking price.
This is by far the best and the most comfortable experience that I ever had with a Huion tablet. I currently have the Kamvas GT-156HD v2 and I love it for what it is. It’s not perfect, but it works. I needed to develop a few workaround so that my workflow will not be affected by the little flaws that it had. With that said, the Kamvas Pro 16 is certainly a welcomed upgrade.
I was initially thinking of upgrading to the Wacom Cintiq 16. At $650, that’s an awesome deal for a Wacom product which has always been at the $1k mark for their pen displays. Huion always undercuts Wacom by a good amount that would allow budget-concious customers to question if Wacom is still worth it to get or just get this budget-friendly option. With that said, the Kamvas Pro 16 is a worthy contender. The display’s color is great out of the box. Tried to tweak it but I just made it worse for myself. The brightness and contrast is already good from the get go. I can always adjust the backlight if I need it to be brighter.
Best part I think is the stylus. It’s now BATTERY-FREE! No more forgetting to charge! I can just pick it up and work right away. Also, small strokes quickly registers now and doesnt clump like the GT156HDv2. I am not sure if it’s a driver issue, but I’m glad I don’t have to deal with it anymore. There’s still an accuracy issue, but I’m left-handed so it could be that. It also goes back to a default calibration at random. Only in photoshop though. It is probably because I turn off Windows Ink. Drawing and Painting on it is a treat. I would say it’s the most comparable to Wacom to date. Although the laminated screen is a bit on the smooth side, It’s not a deal breaker.
Another thing that impressed me is that Huion thought about the USB-C connector and made it “L” shaped so that it won’t stress out when tugged. It’s these tiny things that get the UX designer in me giddy.
If you have $500, what are you waiting for? You'll probably use this pen-display for a long time.

Great tablet for intermediate artists and professionals
Hello my name is Chris. I am a professional concept artist and illustrator. I have had a lot of experience working on many graphics tablet brands which include; wacom, artisul, Xp pen and of course Huion.
I bought this tablet because it seemed to be a legitimate wacom alternative. And after using the kamvas pro 16 and using the pro 13 for months longer, I honestly believe it really is a good alternative.
Design:
The design is very sleek and it truly feels well made. I personally prefer its compact design over the wacom equivalent 16in product. Because the Kamvas pro’s design is similar to the iPad, it makes it quite easy to take it on the go at a coffee shop or something. It has a simple power source via a 3 in 1 cable.
Usage:
Some of the major features I like about this tablet is that it has a high range of pressure sensitivity. The screen has really good rgb gamut range, and the glass feels pretty nice to draw on. And lastly Tilt functionality!!! I'm really glad to finally be able to use this feature on a more affordable tablet. If you set it up correctly in your digital art app like photoshop, you can really take advantage of a more intuitive drawing experience.
Setup:
Huions driver for this tablet is pretty good and simple to use and are actually compatible with a lot of there other Huion products. A lot of the functions like switch brush, pressure curve, and express keys can be edited here. As for anyone who has Issues with the Huion’s Drivers. Keep this in mind: All brands (including Wacom) have issues through drivers. And in many cases these issues are actually caused by conflicts and bugs in settings on you PC or your software. If it is set up properly you won't have any problems getting to use the full capability of the tablet.
They also have good customer service. Keep in mind Their time zone is in China but they are very polite and willing to help.
With all that being said, I wish for only two things that would give this 6 stars:
1)It would be great to power the tablet via usb to pc so it wouldn’t have to be plugged into an outlet. This would make it even more portable!
2) I truly wished there was a way to customize the pen pressure curve by dragging its points in the driver settings as an alternative to the set levels that it has. This would make the drawing experience even better and give the artist more control over their stokes
I believe this is a great tablet and is a good investment for an Artist. It is a great price for this type of tool. It will literally pay you back in a project or two if you do work for clients or if not it is a great gift for anyone who has a passion for digital art.
You can check out my test video and some work I created with it in this review.

This tablet is excellent for anyone who wants to draw/animate digitally.
What’s In The Box:
Tablet
Cord (3-in-1: Power, USB,HDMI)
Pen
Pen Holder with extra nibs
Stand
Screen Cloth
Glove
Set Up:
Set up was easy. I already own a Huion Kamvas GT-191 and GT Inspiroy H640P, so I didn’t have any issues. Make sure you follow Huion’s advice and uninstall any other drivers (Huion or other) before installing the drivers for this tablet.
Color:
Color is great. My Huion Kamvas GT-191 came out of the box a little blue and not very bright. I had to adjust it with a monitor color calibrator. Not this one. Right out of the box it was bright and the colors were comparable to my color-corrected HP monitor.
Size:
I think this size is perfect for crispness of images at 1920x1080. My Huion Kamvas GT-191 is a little less sharp than this, but that’s because it’s 19” at 1920x1080. It’s also a good size for drawing. I’ve tested it on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, and Clip Studio paint. There’s plenty of real estate for each of those programs. It’s also very thin and light, which makes it easy to move around on my desk and get it out of the way when I’m done using it. I’ve also brought it down into my lap when I lean back to draw - not good posture, but the tablet is so light, it works well drawing that way.
Pen/Drawing Experience:
The pen is great because it’s battery-free. The pen for my Kamvas GT-191 needs to be plugged in every once in a while, so I had to have a spare pen charged so I didn’t have to stop drawing when the battery ran out. That doesn’t happen with this one. Every time you want to use it, it’s ready and it never runs out.
The drawing is excellent on the screen. There is no parallax and no line jitter. I tested a slow line at an angle without a ruler and there was very little jitter. That was due to little movements in my hand, because when I then tested it using a ruler, there was no jitter at all. The pen pressure is also great. There’s no line blowout not matter how hard you press the pen and it keeps steady pressure for any type of line you draw. I also like the texture of the screen. It has a little bit of tooth, kind of like you’re drawing on paper. It’s not exactly like paper, but it’s better than glossy screens where your pen just glides over the surface.
Express Keys:
There are six plus a touch slider in the middle. I programmed all of them to work with each of the drawing programs I use. They worked well and are a huge time-saver. I prefer the express keys over using my keyboard. You do have to change them for every drawing program you use, which is unfortunate. That would be one thing I’d like to see Huion change about this and future tables with express keys - it’s a matter of updating their driver software, so it should be doable. I have a workaround for this, which is to make all of the keyboard shortcuts the same across all drawing programs - it’s a little bit of extra work, but the drawing programs will keep your changes so you only need to do it once.
Programs I’ve Used This With:
Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Animate CC, Clip Studio Paint, Blender 2.8, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro. It worked well with all of them. I’m using a Mac Mini 2012 i5 with 16gb of ram, so if it works on my old computer (with no lag or other issues), it should work on most others.
The Stand:
It’s light and has quite a few angles. I sometimes like to draw at almost a 90 degree angle, but this stand doesn’t do that. The tablet also doesn’t have any way to hook it up to a VESA arm. That’s the one thing I like better about my Kamvas GT-191 - it’s on an arm and I can tilt it into any position I want to draw in. That said, the angles it offers are good enough and don’t cause any issues with my wrist or back/neck while drawing.
Final Thoughts:
This is a great tablet. It’s light, somewhat portable, draws well, the screen looks great, and works with all of the programs I use to draw/animate. The only things I wish it had are Vesa-mounting capabilities and the ability to have multiple drawing programs mapped to the express keys (so you don’t have to change them for every program). I should also say that I think the price is very reasonable for everything you get. This tablet is well worth it for anyone who wants to draw/animate digitally.
UPDATE:
It's been a couple week since I reviewed this and I still love it. I've replace my GT-191 with this one even though it's smaller because I like having the express keys on the tablet and the images are more crisp. I've also attached it to a monitor arm (which was a minor negative in my initial review). There aren't any screw holes to mount it, but the tablet is so light that I was able to use velcro to attach it (see images).

My Best Drawing Tablet
I just love this tablet. It has easily become my new favorite possession.
To start off, the screen is beautiful. High resolution, bright enough without blinding (also brightness is adjustable), and just stunning quality all around. For use on a MacBook Pro, everything appears on a new desktop so you can have images and references on your laptop while drawing everything on your tablet using Photoshop or a similar software.
The pen is very smooth going across the screen, and highly reactive to touch and the pressure applied. There are two programmable buttons on the pen that are quite handy for quick use. Huion also provides a complementary pen holder including several pen nub replacements inside of it. I found this to be a very helpful way to store my pen and extra nubs.
Furthermore the tablet comes with this awesome stand that literally makes it a hundred times easier to use. I have included two pictures of it in its higher and lower settings, which I often switch between depending on my posture and angle.
As for wires, this tablet comes with a few. As pictured from left to right: there is a power port that the plug connects to, an HDMI cable that goes into your laptop, a USB that also goes into your laptop, and a USB C that plugs into the tablet. All cords are very sturdy and when plugged in correctly work fine. Also pictured is the plug which can be switched out depending on your country's plug type.
The buttons on the tablet are very easy to program. Simply use the Huion driver (called "HuionTablet") and go to the "Press Keys" tab. Once there, you can program each button as you would like. Furthermore the slider track pad works great as a quick way to scroll up and down across the screen.
Set up is generally very easy. Just plug everything into its proper place and follow the easy set up guide provided. For me, the only issue I ran into was that I couldn't initially get the pen to work. This was easily fixable in under a minute by going under System Preferences and to Accessibility and granted everything needed Accessibility. An easy fix and then the pen started working immediately!

I'm really enjoying using my screen tablet
As a first time drawing screen tablet used, I would recommend this tablet, it's affordable and gets the jobs done.
This has my first impressions of the tablet, setup and feelings about it after two weeks of use. It is also my first time using a tablet with a screen, but I have used multiple drawing tablets with no screen.
When I open the box, it was easy to open and came with some instruction like where to download the diver and some basic stuff to know about the tablet
The box also had sticker to identify the shortcut buttons, thought I found the sticker to be too large to put on the shortcut buttons and square while the buttons are round. It looks like if I put them on, they would stick off the buttons and make it easy to get dust on them and be easy to accidentally peel off. I think it would be better if the stickers were round and smaller.
It comes with adjustable power head that can convert to different power grids. Since I’m in the US I got the US version. It’s easy to remove and replace with the conversion for when you travel.
It also came with an adjustable stand for the tablet. When I first tried to open it, it was very hard. I felt like I might break it if I tried to open it. It did become easier after repeated tries. I’d would recommend you get something thin to help you pry it open the first couple times. I think it would help if the tab that close the stand was not so tight thought.
To me the stand has a good range of angles. The six positions allow you to adjust it at the viewing angel that is most comfortable to you and your wrist position. For me the lowest was the most comfortable for both my wrist and viewing.
At one point while I was unpacking, I placed the pen and pen-holder off to the side with the pen inside the pen holder and accidentally hit it. I thought I would have been knocked off like with my other tablet, but I was surprised to see it wasn’t. I tend to move my hand into my tablet pen when I set them off to the side so it was nice to see it can keep its balance pretty well. You have to be very deliberately to try to knock it down.
Before I used it, I did let the tablet charge for a day. When I saw the wires at first, I thought the cord to plug into my computer would not be long enough, but its length is OK for me. My computer tower and tablet are about 3 feet apart. While I was trying to connect my table to my computer, I notice that either my table would only show or my screen would, not both at the same time. This was not the tablets fault, but my computer was at fault here as I found out it can’t support two screens through HDMI. I’m not sure it’s because my computer is a little older being about 5 years old. But since my computer also supports VGA and so does my computer monitor, I plugged my tablet through HDMI and my screen through VGA. If your experience a similar problem, it’s might not be the tablet it might be your computers limitations.
Installing the driver was easy to do but their is no disk. The Huon website has driver you need.
When I finally turn on my screen, it looks weird to me before I realized it, I had a very yellow tint. I couldn’t find Instructions on the manual on how to adjust screen settings form color, brightness, and so on to do this when I first got it. After an hour of trial and error, I found out to do so that you have to press and hold the very last button (the OSD Button) to put into settings/adjustment mode. I was able to adjust it by using the shortcut buttons on the side of the tablet. When I was doing this, this was the how I moved around in the settings/adjustment menu. The second(2nd) and third (3rd) blank buttons from the power button are the direction buttons and the fifth (5th) blank button is used to confirm and sixth (6th) blank button to cancel. If/when the menu disappears press the fourth blank button to make the menu reappear. To exit out of adjustment screen menu/mode press and hold the OSD button again.
Setting up shortcut buttons on the tablet are customizable and easy for me. I use multiple programs but all the shortcut is the same so I didn’t have to worry about changing them for each program, but it should be aware that you can only have one setting. But in the manager, you can save your setting for multiple programs.
When calibrating the screen make sure you do this in the position and angel your going to draw in and to hold your hand in your drawing position. I didn’t do this at first, so screen calibration was a little off for my comfort.
After all the setup I started drawing and for the two weeks I had it, it took a little adjusting since I have only used drawing tablets with no screen. But once I got adjusted it became a lot easier to draw on this tablet. I made the adjustment where my tablet screen is an extension of my main monitor. I did this mainly so I can make a pop off window for my drawings and see it from multiple screens and also handle other task or even just watch videos on my main screen while I’m drawing on the tablet.
While setting up the tablet was frustrating at times. I found once done it was fun and easy to draw on for my first time using a screen tablet.
