The maual shows a green/yellow stripped ground wire coming from the fixture to be wired to the source ground wire but there is no such wire. To futher confuse the install it shows it's white wire as the ground wire and says to wire it to the source white wire. The maual also doesn't show it's actual green ground wire already attached to the fuxture.
Attach your ground to their green ground.
Attach your black (hot) to their black and blue wires.
Attach your white (neutral) to their white.

These fans were bought to put on our currently unfinished patio. I bought these so I would not have to deal with a remote, they have chain pulls. They are beautiful.
The only complaint is that it was difficult to install them, because the area to tie them into the ceiling was sooo small it was tough for hubby to get his hands in there. He has installed a billion ceiling fans, but these were tough.

Do you like pulling your eyebrows out when you are assembling a fan? Do you enjoy assembling furniture for hours on end?
Every single piece of this fan needs to be assembled and they are not easy to reach or assemble. Clear your schedule, medicate, use the bathroom, eat, sign a prenup, write your will and say goodbye to your loved ones before you open the box. Because after you start assembling and successfully install this fan, you won’t be the same person again. Perhaps a few years older!
I am a fairly handy person and this was my fate. I remember the good old days where you’d open the box and assemble 3-4 price and install a fan! Nowadays to reduce shipping and storage costs everything is in small prices.
After you install, and survive the process, the fan itself looks ok. Functions well. I needed to replace the light bulbs it came with, because it didn’t dim properly and flickered…perhaps cheap quality bulbs. I used another ones I already had and I worked fine.
Good luck!

This fan is the quietest Hunter fan I have

I’ve had this fan installed for a little over a year. I purchased this fan for my daughter’s bedroom and was able to install it myself in a couple hours. The fan itself looks streamlined and modern. I’m happy with the look of it. The light only holds two bulbs so it’s a bit dim but I was able to use two 75W equivalent led bulbs which brightened the room a bit. Here’s the huge negative… in over a year now, I have not been able to get the fan to run without making a sporadic, rhythmic clicking noise. It will randomly stop and then start up again a few days later. I’ve taken the fan apart and reassembled multiple times. I’ve checked the blade screws to make sure they’re tight. I’ve used the leveling kit that came with the fan and nothing has worked. I am now looking into replacing the fan with something else. What a disappointment!! Awful.

Should be 4 wires exiting the fan, ground wire not in place

For the price, this is a great fan. The look was just what I was wanting, low profile, white, and works perfectly. It is a Hunter, and they do know fans. I had a friend install this, and the only thing he mentioned was an issue with the grounding wire, but he was able to take care of it. Don't know if this is across the board, or just the fan I received.

Design is not conducive to easy installation. Because of their location behind, the light and fan harness wires made tightening mounting screws very difficult. And, during installation, pull chain for the light switch slipped inside the hole through which it was routed from inside the fan, and when attempting to rethread it back through the hole, the chain broke. Cheap material. I'm thankful there was enough of the chain to use the connector, but I had to dismantle the fan from the ceiling and reroute and connect the chain. Big hassle after a 12-hour day of work. Never again!

Instructions were clear and easy to follow; each step correlated perfectly with the parts provided. Not having done an installation for 25 years (since the last unit we installed, which was a competitor), I was surprised and pleased with the easy assembly and "modular" design, especially the hangers that allowed for a one person install, and easy wiring. A clean design and quiet unit even at the highest fan setting - and best of all, it works perfectly!

This small fan is beautiful, quiet and perfect for our small bedroom. We had it installed with separate switch for the fan and the light. We also installed a dimmer on the light which works very well.

Perfect size for a smaller kitchen, my fan is 46". It's very quiet it gives off good light in it's surrounding area with it's doom shape. Definitely worth 149 dollars. It was easier then most fans I have put in and that is because of it's design.

As everyone else says this is a crazy hard install. I'm extremely handy yet this still was a challenge and took me an hour and a half. Well worth the time though. The fan circulates a ton of air and it is a gorgeous fan. I'm more than happy 😁

Awesome fan! I was a little nervous with the reviews, but it was an easy install (or so I’ve been told) and it’s a great looking fan. No noise like some other reviews say. I’m very happy with this fan!

First off this fan showed up with the globe broken in the box. They just sent me a new fan. Then when time came to install the fan that's when I realized how overly complicated the thing was to install. I've done about 17 ceiling fans in three houses I've lived in over the yreas. This one was by far a pain in the butt over anything I ever seen. One of the fan blades was cut in manufacturing off set to the holes to line up the blade. I had to use a utility knife to correct it which wasn't hard because the blades are bade of littleore than cardboard. Then the whole design of how the 3 peice construction and screws to put it together after it already hanging was a real challenge. I had to do surgery to get these 3 screws through all the wires to mount the light assembly. Was a pain. Took like 10 tris to get it on properly. I could go on but I'll stop. Cheap. CHINA garbage. Almost as bad as the bonded leather they are selling the US. Anyhow not even worth the 120 odd dollars. Maybe 60.
PS. Contacted the Hunter fan company and it's impossible to order a globe for the one that was broken. Had to just Jimmy a after market globe to use the other one. So yes I got 2 for 1 in the end but that was only fair to me.

Despite good packaging, the fans (bought two) came with lots of black scuffs on the finished surfaces. The paint on some of the metal parts has orange peel and spots where excess paint ran and dried. Bad spray coating. You can’t see it from the ground though. The motor is quieter than those I have witnessed with most other brands, but is not as quiet as other Hunter models we have had in the past. It hums pretty good on the high setting. The build feels sturdy, it is easy to assemble, and it does move a lot of air. I think the best was to sum it up is uncharacteristic poor attention to detail by a traditionally solid brand. Hope this is the exception and not the trend.

I have purchased 8 of this same fan for all over our house but these last ones I bought are disappointing. The pull cords snapped off on 2 of the fans. This is like 1 inch from where the cord starts so now I have a connector that has to go through the cord slots and makes it very hard to pull. I love these ceiling fans but without working pull cords it's just a very expensive light.

Great fan

Had this fan for about a month. The blades have wilted even though it states 'outdoor fan' I believe it to be false advertising. Not happy with this purchase. It has not gotten wet as it is installed in a screened in porch. Do not buy.

Purchased two of these fans on another site. Save your money!
An air filled balloon gently floated up and touched the glass globe while the fan and light were both switched off. It was so gentle that the balloon survived while the glass shattered. Found the replacement globe on the Hunter website, but it's on backorder. It's been on backorder for many months, according to the questions and answers regarding the part, with the date getting pushed back with every question. Was told to contact customer service regarding my inquiry, to be curtly told the part is on backorder until late July. Inquired again as to whether any other globe will fit this fan. The answer is no. Left my review on the website where I purchased this, to have Hunter respond with another "please contact us," vague, 'we want to appear helpful to the unsuspecting future customer but have no real solution for anyone' response.

Overall the fan is beautiful, moves a lot of air, and provides a decent amount of light for a medium to small room. For post install fan purposes, this fan would be a five star fan.
Now onto the issues, two for two of my anslees had their fan pull string pushed back into the lighting kit recess, missing the cap where you would attach the pendan, and keep it from falling back in like mine had, making it impossible to pull the string with the globe attached (pictured). And unless you have some miniature hands you’re stuck with some unmentioned disassembly to stick the darn pull chain through the lighting kit exterior pull chain hole as the allowed for gap is too small to get fingers working in.
Out of five total Hunter fans, this one came with a bad lighting wiring connection in the lighting kit. To diagnose whether it was the kit or canopy wiring, I was lucky enough to have a second Anslee hanging around. I was able to connect the lighting kit assembly from the other fan and the lighting worked fine (also pictured).
This particular one decided that it would flicker the light and trigger the GFCI for the room every time you used to light.
Contacting customer service when they open at noon EST on Saturdays (at least they’re open Saturdays). I’ll see whether they’re walk me through requiring the lighting kit, replace the part, or leave me SOL contacting an electrician and update this review appropriately.
Took me about 2.5 hours to install, but was easier than the 60” Donegan by Hunter.

I bought this fan twice, and had it professionally installed both times by a licensed electrician.
The first time, it fell off the ceiling six days after it was installed, narrowly missing me (I had pulled on the pull chain to turn the fan off). The installer had never seen that happen before in many years of installing fans, and his theory was that the screws seemed a little thinner than usual and maybe they were too loose. I was not entirely convinced, since he did not notice the screws were loose when he installed the fan. Unfortunately, the fan was no longer operational after it fell, so I threw it out and ordered a second one.
The installer put up the second one today, and the screws were fine (he said they looked thicker than the ones that came with the first fan, and he also specifically tested them before placing the fan on the ceiling). But once the fan was up, he tried the pull chain to turn on the light. There was a loudish hum, and then -- nothing. The pull chain for the light did not work at all. Luckily, he had another one in his truck. When he substituted this new one in, it worked fine immediately.
So, I know for sure the second fan had a defective light switch, which had to be swapped out for the lights to work. And the first fan /may/ have come with the wrong sized screws in the box (although I'm less certain about that). Attached is a photo of what was left on the ceiling after the first fan fell.

Very please with this fan. I chose to go with the darker blade and it is exactly as I imagined it would be. Happy with the product and price, would definitely recommend.

EXCELLENT FAN!!!!! For the price - THIS fan is awesome. It's super easy to install with their step by step instructions and is of the highest quality. I've always liked Hampton Bay fans but have another fan I love. It was perfect for my nursery. Moves great air. No noise.
Amanda
The blades itself and fan itself looks nice and modern and is quiet - however the light is very very dim and almost yellow/mute orange. Anyone else know if this is a bulb issue with the bulbs it comes with or is this standard issue with this fan? I posted this review and question and tried to contact seller directly for assistance and have received zero feedback.

Was very happy with the purchase of this fan. I love Hunter fan's! And this one is just as good. Easy to install if replacing an old rattling fan. And Hunter fans have been around for years. Im getting two more. So all three fans in my house will match.

Looks great!!! Not too tricky to install. Works great!! Super happy with this purchase. We have gotten many compliments.

Fast delivery. Complicated to install and noisier than a Minka I had that cost 1/2 the price. BUT the big issue is this is not flush mount. There is an eight inch gap between the trim ring and my flat ceiling. I contacted Hunter and was told it is designed this way, what part of 'flush' doesn't Hunter understand? I don't think I have ever seen another light or fan that doesn't fit tight to the ceiling. My return was authorized but their 'return policy' excludes installed fans and lights. I have emailed better living twice for permission to return since it was installed (how else would I know it is not flush as it is represented?). In all fairness the fault is with Hunter as I am sure that the sellers simply post the manufacturer's description, but that should not stop Better Living from doing the ethical thing. So far I have received 2 auto emails asking about my experience and that I write a review, but no response to my actual email request of 5 days ago.
