Great Quality but the synthetic black covering starts peeling off after a lots of use.
Very good quality headset. I've used it for years and it still works fine. The only problem is that after so much use the thin black material (PU leather) around the foam parts of the headphones and the headband falls off and small pieces get in your hair and on your on your hands when you take it off. Other than that the quality you get for the value is very good. If it wasn't for PU leather peeling off problem I'd rate it 5/5.

Nice headset
Great sound quality it has a surround sound so things in game sound like they are really right next to you, but sometimes mic detaches slightly if you move it too much.

Spend a little more for better quality.
I’ve always loved hyper x however, these are probably the worst ones I’ve ever had.
Bottom line: Buy the hyper x cloud 2’s before these. Unless it’s for a gift for a young one.
It’s not new but the hyper x cloud 2’s I have are Kingston branded and these are HP Inc.
The ear cups a very light but they feel cheap,
They also feel hollow and don’t hug your ears like other bands do.
I’d recommend replacing the ear cups immediately as it will probably make them at least 50% better.
I do like the inline mute and volume knob, great on the spot muting for eating for an invasive sneeze.
Overall it’s FINE for a cheap headset. But I’d 100% a little more for better quality.

8 years after getting hyperX
I’ve had this exact head set from game stop for 8 years it was very reliable until a maybe 2-4 years into use I noticed the volume dial would cut out the right ear depending on the placement. I really hate that but it wasn’t the end of the world. Over all the speaker quality and durability over all are very good. If your planing to wear this all day i would suggest a different headset but maybe it’s just me when it makes my head and ears irritated (after 5+ hours of use) for lack of a better term. If your looking for a budget buy this head set has all the right things. If you can put up with the issues of wear and tear. Hope this helps someone since I’ve had these a long time and know exactly how this set preforms for the long term. (Also the foam held up longer then I thought with no rips or tears in the lining. The microphone is also in good condition and has always worked without fail, minus my animal biting it last week.)

The Best low price gaming headset that lasted me a decade
This is overall a great headset that will last the test of time. I have had mine for several years and it still works perfectly fine, the headset itself is extremely durable the audio sounds great and the microphone has good quality. There are a very few things that I dislike about it, one being that the wire that connects the headset to whatever you want to plug it into over the years has become bent and twisted, it seems that either the actual wire inside is twisted so there doesn't seem like anyway to fix it but I haven't over the many years seen any affect on the audio. Another thing that bugs me is the wire that holds up the microphone seems to be wrapped with some kind of thin silicone which over the years has seem to tear a bit. Other than those few things the headset is an all around a good headset that you can you with anything that has an audio jack with great audio and a good microphone.

It’s the best Headset I ever owned.
The HyperX CloudX is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for comfort and sound quality. The memory foam ear cushions and padded headband make it easy to wear for long gaming sessions without discomfort. The sound is clear and immersive, with deep bass and crisp highs that bring games to life. The detachable noise-canceling microphone is a nice touch too, ensuring your voice comes through clearly during chats. The build quality feels solid, and it’s officially licensed for Xbox, but it works well across other platforms too. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-rounded headset that delivers great value for its price.

awesome!!
i’m not an audiophile by any means but i think these sound amazing!! the noise cancellation is incredible for the price. i can’t hear anything outside while using these!! huge upgrade from my cheap earbuds lol. they fit my small head perfectly, which is new!! every headset i’ve tried has been too big and slipped off my head easily, but this fits perfect and doesn’t budge. it obviously is extendable too though.
HUGE THING - sound playback works perfectly on PC, BUT the mic will not work without a splitter. i can’t speak about that because i only use this on my PC, and already have an external mic so i didn’t bother.
it looks really nice in my opinion, and i’ve dropped it a few times and it’s perfectly fine haha
the wire is braided which is awesome for its durability. it isn’t removable however, which is a bummer but it’s okay. i’m okay with anything at this price :)
overall absolutely recommend, especially on sale!! i got it for around $30 >:) full price is absolutely worth it too though!!

I love this headset
Already had one and my son lost the mic piece so got a new one, I love this headset but I preferred wired. So if that's not for you than pass on this one. As far as sound it's great, mic picks up clear.

Wrong item in new box
We received the item and the box was opened and the headset appeared used and not the correct item. The cord was defective and the headset was damaged in the box. The headset was not as described it seemed that someone had switched and returned and that’s what we got.

Great headset so far !
I’ve been looking for a new headset since the band on my old stealth 700 turtle beach headset broke apart. I wasn’t looking on dropping a lot of cash for a new headset but wanted something decent .. after reading reviews I decided to go with these for only $45. So far I love it, the band on this one seems a lot more durable. The headset is comfortable but starts hurting after like 2-3 hrs of straight game play. I wouldn’t say this headset is for big heads, it fits mine just right but any bigger than like 7 1/2 hat size will probably be to small . Overall the sound is great , noise cancellation is good, have no problems with party chat, You can adjust the settings and make it louder if you need to for the game or the chat. Definitely recommend for starters or people trying to budget and get a decent pair of headphones.

Amazing budget headphones. Needs an accessory
When I plugged them in directly into my Xbox controller I could barely hear anything over my AC unit even with the headphones on full blast. They were just entirely too quiet. Then I broke out my old Turtle Beach headphone jack into the bottom of the controller and then plugged the headphones into that and boosted the volume and they are perfect especially for the price. Way better than my more expensive Bluetooth headset that cuts in and out but it needs a headphone jack accessory.

Maybe a defected one? NOT OKAY
Not even a month after using the headset It seems to have issues will all of my xbox controllers! For the money this should not be happening and I can’t understand why. I take care of all my tech with the utmost delicacy, this is nonsense!
