Not working at all
Not working for win 11 home. I have other fingerprint so it's not my system issue. The lock part works as expected but i bought this just for the fingerprint part.
I should have tested this earlier. Now I cannot return.

Work as described. Easy set up. Just plug it in via usb or Type C! The scanner does come with a usb type c adapter for tablets. It also comes with a driver link for devices that doesnt have fingerprint drivers already installed.

This Ineo USB fingerprint reader for Windows 10/11 is reasonably compact for a desktop device, and the build quality feels solid. It comes with a 5-foot cord, which makes placement on a desktop convenient. Although it looks like plastic at first glance, the housing is actually metal. The fingerprint reader also includes a one-touch computer lock button for quickly locking the screen when stepping away from the computer. Both USB-A and USB-C connections are supported, though the USB-C adapter is not tethered to the USB-A connector.
Setup was straightforward. Windows automatically installed the driver as soon as the device was plugged in, so there was no need to manually download software. In Device Manager, it appears as “ChipSailing Fingerprint UsbDriver” under Biometric Devices.
Fingerprint enrollment through the Windows Sign-in Options menu was simple. The reader responds very quickly to touch, and the lock button works immediately when pressed. I found it convenient to lock the computer with one touch and then unlock it instantly using the fingerprint reader.
In my experience, the device has been fast, accurate and reliable for Windows sign-ins and screen locking. The longer cable also makes it easier to position comfortably on a desk for everyday use with either a desktop or laptop PC.

The good thing is the device is fully plug and play with Windows 11 and the driver is installed automatically and works with Windows hello.
However, there is a problem with the amount of power that it seems to draw and I could not successfully perform an enrollment with my laptop. I did have another device that plugged directly into the USB port and acted as a sensor that was flush mounted with the side of the laptop and that one works perfectly fine, but it seems that this device can draw up to 800 milliamps which is a lot more than most USB ports and deliver and the power requirements are on the higher side of that number when actually performing the enrollment process, so the sensor would simply disconnect from the system after the second finger swipe.
On the desktop computer using front mounted USB 3.0 ports everything worked as expected for both enrollment and for logging in.
The 800 milliamp power requirement was reported by USBTreeView which displays the requirements based on what the device is actually asking for. Normally any USB 3.0 port including one on a laptop should be able to deliver that and more without failure, but I do suspect that there is a higher power draw when it is performing the enrollment as it is processing the stitching of the images together and when that extra power demand spikes, it causes a disconnect from the USB controller on the laptop.

This USB Fingerprint Reader is exceptionally user-friendly and performs exceptionally well. It has a robust build, and the additional weight ensures it remains stable on your desk, preventing any unwanted movement during use.
Setting it up was incredibly straightforward. Upon connecting it to my Windows computer, the necessary drivers were downloaded automatically without encountering any issues. The Windows Hello setup process was both quick and intuitive, allowing me to begin using the device almost immediately.
The fingerprint recognition technology is both rapid and reliable, and the one-touch login feature significantly enhances productivity by streamlining everyday tasks. Additionally, it accelerates the process of locking and unlocking the system compared to the repetitive task of typing passwords.
The length of the cable provides flexibility in positioning the device on your desk, allowing you to choose the most convenient location.
In summary, this fingerprint reader is a simple, reliable, and user-friendly accessory that is easy to install, integrates seamlessly with Windows Hello, and gives off a sense of quality craftsmanship at a good value.
