It's your hard-earned choice
It worked for like an hour then audio cut out. Didn't do much more than listen to a bit of music and test the crank

Battery will die
It was time to revise the emergency backpack. The radio doesn't work. Dead battery. It won't charge no matter how many hours you live it plugged in. If I remove the battery it will work with the usb cable.
I was about to purchase a replacement battery but also found that it comes and go, meaning that the radio doesn't work all the time. Decided to go with the midland to see if it's any better

Perfect prepper solution
Worked perfectly out of the box. Excellent reception and sound quality, with handy features. This is the second unit I bought from iRonsnow (this one is for my wife) because I found the first unit so useful. It is stationed on my nightstand and has come in handy many times, especially for finding small items that disappear under the nightstand. Definitely recommended.

Good for emergencies
The emergency radio is good for emergencies and camping you can access NOAA-FM-AM. The radio is a good size it fits in a go bag very well. The radio is usbc rechargeable and is solar powered and can also be charged with the hand crank. It has a flashlight and can also charge your cell phone in a pinch.

Easy to use, sturdy and can get LOUD!
I actually own the original older version of this radio in 2016 (and it still works)
This appears to be a pretty drastic improvement over the old model. It has some extra features and upgrades to keep it up with newer tech. One such feature is utilizing a type C USB wheras before it used micro USB. Also, they have installed a headphone jack so you can listen to your radio stations only.
Another new feature that this one has over the original motto - a small series of blue LED lights that indicate power levels - many radios don't seem to display remaining battery power so this is quite helpful to know where your battery life is at.
Charging can be done with the USB connecting to a wall outlet, manually turning the hand crank or finally it can be left in direct sunlight to charge via solar (I would use this with caution as to not overheat the device)
A final upgrade - the power bank has significantly increased rom 2000mAhh to 5,000, doubling its storage capacity.
Overall, a great item to keep in the car or get home bag. Simple and efective.

Not a durable and strong winding handle
First time using this radio in a winter storm emergency in Houston TX . I was loving it with all its nice features , until the weather radio stopped working . I proceeded to crank it up then the handle broke.

Very cute and powerful
Mine just came in the mail and I'm very impressed by the features of the solar panel. I did try the flashlight and radio plus weather band and I like so far. When or if my environment is compromised, I can look forward to using my emergency radio.

Love my portable radio with many power sources
Love it! I live in the Caribbean and visit Florida often it will come in handy for Hurricane season and power outages.
The light is bright. The radio sound output is strong and clear. I love the multiple ways to charge- hand crank on the side , solar panel on the top or plug into usb outlet( computer or charger).

Very nice. Especially for emergencies.
This is a really nice setup. It's actually my second one. I like the fact that you have three different ways or charging it. You can use the USB port, let the sun charge it, or use the hand crank. It will also recharge your cell phone. When an emergency hits, and it will, this will be a very important tool to have. It's small enough to carry in a backpack, a purse, or even on your belt. You have instant access to the AM and FM radio bands and, most importantly, a local weather channel. The flashlight, of course, will be very handy. I keep it close and always charged up. I highly recommend this. For the price, you can't find anything else like this.

Awesome! Works great!
This is an amazing little tool. I was sceptical about it being able to charge but the radio has a charge light indicator that will turn on if you turn the crank, or out it out in sunlight. The light on it is also fairly bright, sound can be loud, and the overall unit is small and compact. I'm really glad I have this in case of an emergency.

Not Recommended, I'm Returning
Some of the functions on the radio do work, including the AM/FM/Weather radio and LED flashlight.
1. The cell phone charging feature did not work at all for me. I plugged my iPhone X into the USB port via an Apple lightning to USB cable which came with my iPhone, but absolutely nothing happened even when I unlocked my phone.
2. The red low battery LED indicator came on immediately after removing the unit from its packaging. I plugged it into a USB port on my computer via the included charger, and the LED began blinking. However, it only blinked for maybe an hour or two before changing to solid red. Then, when I turned on the radio the next morning, the red LED came on again and stayed on even when the radio was turned off. I do not understand what this red LED light is intended to be used for.
3. The tuning and volume knobs on the front are somewhat difficult to adjust. They don't stick out from the front of the radio at all, making it harder to get a good grip on them. In addition, they seem to catch on the grippy surface of the radio and don't move with ease.
4.
If you're looking for a portable AM/FM radio with weather band and don't need the Gimmicky flashlight and solar and hand-crank charging features, I'd highly recommend the Retekess PR15 radio as it is smaller and has better reception.

You won't be disappointed, radio is great
Great radio, in each picture I tried to show the radio with all its features. The front is like a normal radio, on one side there's a led light, has an antenna on the back along with the crank to power the radio. On top is a solar charger and on the right side there is a usb port where you can charge the radio or you can charge your phone.

Be sure to wall charge it before you go.
I bought this product thinking that in case of a natural disaster I could use the solar/crank to use the USB. After a months use, this is what I have found out.
You MUST wall charge it first, DO NOT expect to be able to charge anything for more than 20 seconds on solar/crank charge alone.
I have left it in my car, which sits in direct sunlight for 8-10hrs and used it only to get about 20 seconds use out of it. Also, I used the crank for 2 minutes of vigorous turning and only got about 10 seconds of charge. So if you are planing on buying this product for emergency charging make sure you wall charge it first, don’t expect it to be “dead” and charge your device.
With that said, even it if can’t charge you’re device it can still play the radio (if you can find a clear station) and use the light. Note that the light isn’t extremely bright, and it’s not focused, meaning it’s not in one direct location it’s sort of broad.
Also, you will not be able to tell how much power is left in it because there’s no light to indicate that and when it’s charging by wall or solar it will just indicate red and if you hand crank it, it will blink.
I mean it’s not a bad product so long as you make sure you charge it regularly and don’t rely on the crank/solar to charge it. It does come with a wrist cord so when you are using the flashlight it’s easy to wrap around your wrist.

Must have
What a survival tool. An infinite battery you can use for a flashlight, radio, and phone charger. If you ever get lost, you don't have to worry about cellphone battery and can make that phone call even if it's on the 5 day of your trip.
Also, it is cool to note that a little light turns on when it is charging either via it's crank or it's solar panel (see picture).
My dislikes are that it is very difficult to tune the radio, that it's made of plastic, and it's not waterproof. But a plastic bag and just being careful solves the problem.

clear skies with a high of 88
Just received mine today and it functions exactly as it should. I cranked for 3 - 5 minutes for first use as directions said and was checking out the weather, AM/FM frequencies. Works as intended for EMERGENCY ONLY. Not something I would use daily.
First off after cranking per instructions, I charged via the outlet and wanted to know exactly how long it would take to charge, and how long it would function on full charge
1) took around 3 hours and something minutes to fully charge.
2) Radio time when full charge was around 2 hours 40 minutes
I cranked for about 2 minutes and was only able to get an additional few minutes of radio play with that.
So for emergency that is fine.
Haven't tried the solar charge yet but will be going on hike when I get off work and will attach to my pack to check it out. will update tomorrow
Flashlight isn't bright but again for EMERGENCIES it is well enough to crank to find your go to light.
Don't count on it to charge your device if dead. I also did a quick charge and was able to get a few percent more on my iphone 7 but would count on that. Not really why I bought the gadget other than emergency radio.
For the price its worth it. seen some other brands that look identical for cheaper and more $$$ but for under $20 I cant complain.

Satisfied
The purchase of this product was an immediate response to a blackout of my neighborhood for 26 hours.
It's smaller than I envisioned but packs a mighty punch. The first thing I tried was the flashlight. I cranked for about 30 seconds and let it rip. The light is surprisingly bright.
I then plugged my android phone into the charging area and verified it was charging. There are several attachments included. My only issue which is minor is that I cannot for the life of me, get the little rubber piece to go back in after I apparently pulled too hard and it came off. I am pleased with my purchase

Solar-rific!!!
The children and I are enjoying our solar power crank flashlight radio.. I especially like the Weather Broadcasting System and I plan to by more. They are great for the midnight run to the bathroom when I don't want to wake others in the house :-) so awesome one less thing to be on my power bill..lol only the sun rays or a hand work out for me. I gave it four stars because its just so small but very easy to crank

Handy to Have
We got this flashlight to take with us camping. It was smaller than I expected. However, it was nice when we tried to find a space for it in our hiking backpack. The solar panel charged quickly. It held a charge for a good amount of time. The radio works well. We camped out at a ranch over the weekend and we were able to get in quite a few radio stations clearly. The speaker quality is fairly good considering the size. The weather band was nice for current updated weather information for the area that we were in.
The brightness of the light was okay for reading a map or a book at night however it was not bright like our regular flashlight to see things far away in the dark. The hand crank work well to charge the flashlight. It makes a whining sound when you crank it though. So as long as you're not worried about being stealthy it's fine.
It was not quite what I expected to be however it ended up being a nice addition to our backpacking and camping equipment. We get tired of dealing with batteries and keeping our flashlights current with fresh batteries. It's nice to know we have this and will never be without a light due to having old batteries.
It also has a port for speakers and a mini USB jack for charging a phone. It does come with a couple adapters but I still need to get one to go with my phone which has a mini USB.
I would recommend this to any avid hiker or camper.
I bought this item at a discounted price in exchange for an unbiased review.

Does not really work
Save your money. This doesn't keep full charge even using electricity. It never really worked. Bad reception and only seconds before the charge is gone.

Please read update
This is a high quality affordable fast shipped must have storm season item - outer casing is a semi grippy plastic (?) material that seems and feels like it's more than strong enough to offer reasonable protection - nice n small as pics show - solar charger works great, charges just by sitting around lamp light - crank part feels great, strong and grippy, charges well - 3 LED flashlight is good and bright without overwhelming your eyes acclimated night vision - radio works ok, will definitely pick up stronger signals - good for some ambient noise around camp and weather updates - nice n light without batteries too - for the price your mom would smack you if you don't have at least one
