Fun read for 2nd graders

This book set has been a wonderful addition to our library. We purchased books 1-3 and enjoyed them so much we ordered set 2. Books 4-6 arrived with a little surprise inside too! After reading the books, it comes with a paper doll set inside! This has been a great motivator to encourage consistent reading. The content is fun and the illustrations bring the books to life.

Evil books 😈 see it through …

Those are horrible books. After reading few pages of one of them I quickly realised whys all about ! It talks about self harming “stab” is th word used and some kinda satanic ritual of signing with blood 🩸 and why does our children needs to know this things anyway 🤯 anyhow it was a Xmas gift and all is going to the trash ! And l don’t know how evil all collection really is and will not find out !Not for my child for sure !

Was excited to receive these books at a good cost. But upon opening the box set noticed that there was water damage to the corner. Not sure if these books were a returned item . It didn't seem to be damage from the delivery since the box was not wet.

SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS! Inappropriate for kids

My daughter is just 7 years old! I was floored when she was reading in her bed & came to us about the way this book started! If I could return these I would! Totally disappointed!! This is terrible for a child to read. Who knows what the other books intale!

This is hardly age appropriate and very surprising for this author. I loved the Guernsey book but this is just too wild to believe.

Suicide is included in the first chapter of the first book.

Age inappropriate. I wish i was making this up, especially since these books look so cute.

In the beginning of the dance one it talks about a woman killing herself because the prince she loved chose another girl. She then becomes a ghost and when the prince comes to her grave she makes him dance to his death. Super weird and creepy for such cute looking books. Returning immediately. My daughter can’t get this mental picture out of her head and we’ve struggled for a few nights getting her to bed after reading this.

My box arrived and the books were almost torn on the bindings - I kept them because I needed them for the series unit I’m teaching but I’m super disappointed and they aren’t going to last long.

Fun Reads

Purchased this second set for my 7 year old who absolutely loves to read but is new to the Ivy and bean series of books , I was very hopeful that she would enjoy the stories , to my surprise she actually fell in love with the entertaining characters in the stories immediately and has already read each book twice and is ready for set number 3 . My only regret was not purchasing the books sooner . Highly recommend these for that special child in your life .
