Even though this camera is 2k, I thought the video quality was very high. The setup was extremely easy with my docking station. And I love the option to switch out the microphone covers. I just wish it came with a lens cover.

Great webcam for small office conferencing. The switchable front is novel.
JLabs has been a decent brand. I have used their earbuds for a while and have had no issues and the costs were reasonable. So I decided to try this webcam out. I was definitely satisfied. The installation is simple and takes about 2 minutes in total. The front bezel can be changed from a charcoal fabric to a light gray is a novel touch. It isn't life-changing, but it does allow it to blend a little more depending on where it is being set. It easily hangs off the top of an LCD screen easily, but can also sit on a table, be pulled out to lay better on some books, or wherever you need to get a decent angle. It also has a 1/4-20 on the bottom so you can easily attach it to a tripod. The lens has a glass cover and is nice and clear. The auto-focus works well for normal office use, it adjusts to nice lighting and the colors seem natural. The sample is taken with 5000K LEDs from above and about 4 feet from me. When I was moving around it was focusing well and the colors were never swirling around and it was a clear picture. It will be great for standard video conferencing and should work well for years.

Good Webcam to Showcase my Art in Progress
I was happy when this camera became available for request. I really needed this webcam to broadcast my art projects. I wanted to start showing my art buyers, my creative process. So I want it to be able to film that process, even if I were using my phone, which is also my camera. So I needed another camera to film in case I was doing some of my creation work via my phone. Toward the end of the video I'm showing how this webcam films in different types of light. From No Light, very little sunlight, night time, with focused ring light. It's giving me what I need to showcase myself as an artist on my social media. Very happy with this webcam.

Easy to set up and use, camera and sound of good quality
I have been testing this camera out for about 3 weeks now and I am impressed with it.
This camera is a replacement for another camera that I was using for meetings from home. My desktop PC is the computer that I use at home with a TV for a monitor. I need a way to conduct meetings from home. My old camera was not working well and I was in search for a replacement. I needed one with an extra long USB cable and one that would sit on top of my TV without causing damage to my TV. My old camera had to be glued to the back of my TV and as my TV heated up, the glue became sticky and tacky and eventually, the camera started to sag and would not stay in place.
I decided on the Jlab brand because I have a pair of Jlab Bluetooth headphones that I also use for work and meetings and phone calls and the sound and features impressed me so I decided to try this web camera. The first thing I noticed was that the clamp for this camera holds the camera in place without the camera moving but does absolutely no harm to the TV or the screen.
The next thing that my old camera could not do that the Jlab one can do is swivel. It can swivel from side to side and up to down. This helps when you are adding another person in to sit side by side with you on a meeting or you are trying to keep your two year old out of the background of a meeting...
The next feature that I really like about this camera is that the cord is very long. I needed that as my PC is not next to my TV and I needed one with a longer cord.
The LED light on the front of the camera is NOT blinding. It will light up but you can look directly at the camera and not see dots in your eyes for the rest of the day but it is adequate enough to light you up so everyone can see you.
The sound from the microphone (from what I have been told) is just fine for meetings and that everyone could hear me just fine -- no issues.
The camera comes with a different colored face plate that you can pop off to change out if it matches your decor. I have a black TV so I left the black one on.
It is simple to use, I plugged it in, Windows recognized it and I was able to use it right away.
In my opinion, the JLab Epic Cam USB HD Webcam is of great value for the money. It has a lot of features that other cameras do not. A lot of thinking went into designing this camera, especially, the damage free clamp so your TV does not get damaged. I would get this camera again.

JLab's webcams are as good as their audio products
It hasn't been that long since the webcam was considered more of a toy than a serious tool. That all changed during the COVID pandemic and the 'video call', 'video interview', etc. will be with us for a long time to come. If you're doing anything on video how you show up visually is just as important as how you sound. That makes the microphone and webcam equally as important for anyone with any type of professional job.
The webcam market at one point was pretty much 'one size fits all'. When they first started to become ubiquitous, they all seemed to have the same round form factor and a similar level of performance. That has changed considerably and now the webcam market is highly specialized. There are dedicated cams for conference rooms, dedicated cams for streamers, gamers and just about everyone else. That said, you can still get a solid 'all around' webcam that will make you look human on video calls while lending itself to other uses.
JLab is already a well known brand among content creators. They made their bones by selling high quality audio products at a decent price. I've used their microphones, speakers, headphones, etc. and have always been impressed with their ability to produce excellent products at a serious value price. They also make peripherals like keyboards and mice (mouses?) and now they're in the webcam market. Can they deliver the same amazing 'price to quality' ratio visually as they do audibly?
It sure looks like it (no pun intended). This is the second JLab camera I've tested in the past couple of months. Previously, I put the midrange camera in the JLab line called the 'JBuds'' through its paces on several computers in all of the major video chat/meeting apps. My conclusion was that it was a great camera for anyone who didn't want or need cutting edge specs and the state of the art in picture quality. The 'quality to cost' ratio of the JBuds camera is off the charts.
The entry level webcam in the JLab line is the GO but I don't see any reason to get this when for a nominally higher price you can get the aforementioned JBuds. For that reason, I went to the top of the line and ordered the camera we're talking about today. This is the JLab Epic nearly twice what you'll pay for the midrange model but delivers 5 mega pixels, 2k video and 15 adjustable exposure settings.
At first glance, you might mistake the Epic for the JBuds. The size is roughly the same but the Epic has a sleeker form factor that combines the best qualities of the other JLab cameras. Setup couldn't be easier--just plug the attached USB cord into the appropriate port. It should work without any tinkering or configuration. I had it up and running in seconds on three computers running Ubuntu. One really cool feature is the interchangeable face plates. I'm of the opinion that aesthetics are very important in devices like this--they help make your outer world harmonious which has positive effects on your inner world. You can choose from light gray and dark gray depending on your equipment or mood.
The Epic webcam has dual built in microphones that deliver decent sound. Personally, I'd always go with a dedicated microphone for any type of professional use but for other uses the on-board mics will do the job. In fact, with the exception of the performance specs there's not much apparent difference between the Epic and the JBuds.
As the name on the marquee suggests, the performance is pretty 'epic' and particularly at this price point. I'm in the process of setting up a 'zoom room' at my office and have been trying out cameras designed for video conferencing. For a solo video call, the JLab Epic looks and sounds as good as the dedicated conferencing cameras--some of which cost 4 or 5 times as much as this cam! For a call with a larger group, however, the more expensive cams demonstrate their abilities very nicely but as far as the picture and audio quality the JLab Epic is right in the mix.
One other nice feature of the JLab Epic is the ability to toggle zoom and exposure settings to any of 15 presets. This can be done without an app by pressing a button on top of the camera. It might not be as good as being able to 'fine tune' it yourself, but in my testing it was very helpful if you needed to adjust on the fly to a new setting or light level.
As was the case with the midrange JLabs webcam, the 'quality to cost' ratio of the Epic is off the charts. While the more expensive, conference room specialized cameras have features that make them better for multiple participants the Epic was definitely 'in the mix' in every other area of comparison. To some extent, that's comparing 'apples and oranges'. All of the JLab line are best suited for a remote work situation, or for one on one video calls from an office.
The question will then become 'do you need the superior specs for this type of use case?' There's no definitive answer to that. I would say you do and particularly when you have the ability to get this kind of performance at a value price point. Others will find the mid level JDub camera adequate for their needs. The Epic does provide the option of other video-centric uses such as vlogging, seminars, online courses, etc. I've found that in any type of professional situation you'll never regret a slightly larger outlay in return for the ability to present yourself at your best. This is true when you buy suits and also in the post COVID video-fueled world of business communications. Highly recommended for performance and value.

great camera little grainy
so for the type of camera it is i was a little disappointed i personally like the 1080p vs better than this 2k vs it seems to have good quality in video but grainy quality in photo mode i like that you can zoom in and out with it that there is an auto focus also if you have a tn panel this camera will pic up the lines from a tn panel on a while screen so just food for thought my logitech brio doens't do that. all and all i like the camera alot but i think the 99.99 price tag is a bit much specially when it's 59.99 counter part is better looking in my opinion just this one has some more features

Decent build, good pic, clear mics, and easy to set up.
I appreciate the design of this webcam. The matte black plastic and fabric front look both playful and sleek. What makes it even nicer is that the faceplate can be changed between a black or light gray color. Now it goes perfectly with my gray JLab Go Talk Mic. It is well built, and it seems it could take some rough treatment. The base has good flexibility but is still flexible enough to be placed on top of any monitor. There’s also a screw to place the camera on a tripod. The fabric-covered cord is long enough to reach my PC, which is under my table. The camera is small and can be carried around, but it’s best as a stationary cam.
It's plug-and-play so no installation is needed. My laptop, PC, and iMac all recognized it right away.
The video quality is outstanding. It is clear and adjusts well to darker environments. The auto-focus works well enough, although it can be a little slow when suddenly putting something in front of it. Not a big deal, but worth noting. The frame is more of a close-up as I have tested other cams with wider viewing areas but tend to bend the sides a bit too much. At 1440p 30fps, it is alright. I prefer 1080p 60fps as it “feels” more natural -especially useful when moving dynamically when streaming.
I tested the cam’s dual mics and I thought they were fine but not as good as the dedicated cardioid microphone. Interestingly, I forgot to switch to the cardioid mic, and I had a conference call. I had no complaints at all and when I asked how my sound was later, they said it did sound a bit quieter, but came in nice and clear regardless.
Although there is a LED to show when the cam is in use, I do wish it had a privacy cover. I will unplug it when not in use, just in case.
In the end, this is a decent camera. Sure, it may be on the more expensive side comparing it to other non-premium brands, but I think it does well enough to recommend trying it at least. I for one, am very happy with it and it has now become my main.

Great ambient noise cancellation
I've tested 2 new webcams, alongside my older webcam recently. Of the 3, I think the JLab Epic Cam USB HD Webcam is my favorite.
The Epic Cam itself is pretty basic, like most webcams these days you just plug it in and it works - no special drivers needed. It has some fluff features, like interchangeable face-plates in grey and white, as well as some useful features that are missing on a lot of webcams, like manually adjustable zoom and brightness. The attached USB cable is a nice braided cable and longer than my old webcam, which is great!
But what really impressed me with the Epic Cam is its background noise cancellation. There is a fan or air conditioner running next to my desk in my small home office nook 24/7. It's literally 2-feet away from me and makes a constant "white noise" sound. In my video, you can hear tests with 3 different webcams, with the A/C on and off. The Epic Cam is the only one where you cannot tell the difference. Note that in my video, the microphone takes a few seconds to focus in on my voice.
As far as still photos from the Epic Cam go, I thought it was just OK. It has higher megapixels than the other two cameras I tested, but seemed to have some trouble handling my grey hair with the overhead ceiling light in my office.
I docked a star for the iffy still photos and lack of a lens cover, but for video, which is the main purpose of the webcam for me, the JLab Epic Cam is an excellent choice.

Lives up to its' description
This Webcam have exceeded expectations by a lot. Most web cams that boast 4K are really just 2K. JLAB goes all in telling you from the gate, what you get. Using Windows 11 x64, 2K is a decent resolution for still images at 5MP (2592x1944) @4:3 ratio while 3.7MP (2560x1440)@16:9 ratio. Pictures are sharp color grading is better than most webcams on the market as most of them will give you a washed out image while Jlabs maintains its' contrast with deep blacks and very bright white. Brightness option along with focus and 2-5-10second timer is available in the windows 11 default camera app. Some webcams I have tested, only leaves you with one option while JLABS throws you more than just photo and video. JLAB 2K camera offers document scanning and whiteboard for those of us that need it for school.
As for the Video features JLAB stays true with a clean 2K 1440p @30fps and gives 1080p fans 60fps. I was able to test both resolutions and both videos made it hard to decide which to go with as they both had its own perks. I love high resolutions and am not afraid to go 30fps for a quality image while a part of me loves the smoothness of 60fps that just comes in clean.
The Webcam used for zoom, meets, adobe connect all calls came in crisp and clean as my "1TB" connection would allow. No pixelated calls on my screen and with my spouse reviewed the incoming calls on her ends claims the picture is crisp and calls came in nice. The mic is still just a standard mic and does a decent job of blocking out the ambient noise while some webcams will let you hear the quietest fans.
The overall build and look of the webcam is premium like you spent a hot dollar or two while the price remains modest for all it has to offer. I would definitely be looking out for more from JLAB as I was a long time fan and a "Logical PC" user and with the shift in the industry other brands are coming in strong like JLABS with very nice offerings. I would recommend this for anyone that don't want to spend an arm and a leg for streaming.

Good Performance Webcam...comes with two built-in mics
This is a pretty nice webcam
I was also quite surprised with how well the audio sounds
Not sure I'm crazy about the autofocus because in the demo, I was purposely being animated and you can see how often the camera tries to autofocus. You can hear the camera actually making noise during the autofocus process. Otherwise, this webcam works just fine.
Since I use my webcams for more than just sitting in a conference, the autofocus for this device probably won't work for me.
Very nice performance from this camera.
I was a bit frustrated because I use Photobooth a lot, but when I played my clip back in the software, it actually is not syncing the audio with the video. But, when I imported the finished footage into Camtasia, it worked just fine.
The cord has a regular USB plug
Pros
It comes with two mics
Cancels sound very well
Camera mount ready
Works well in low light (has 4 brightness levels)
Plug & Play
Has swappable face plates
Cons
Autofocus is annoying
The cord comes pre-attached to the device (if something goes wrong, you'd have to replace the entire device)
