JLab Go Party Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Great speaker for the money. Only issue is battery drains fast at full volume.

It's a great speaker with very good sound quality. I keep it in my work truck & it's more than loud enough in a small space. Connectivity has never been an issue whether turning it on or getting back within range. Their app is simple & useful. I don't bother with the lights but they are kinda cool with the ability to adjust the colors & how they flash. I really like the adjustable equalizer. Makes a big difference in sound. Probably my favorite little feature is the volume knob that also acts as the pause button. I get in & out of my truck dozens of times a day so it's really easy to quickly press it instead of feeling around for the correct little button like most other speakers.

The only issue I have is battery life. Keep in mind when they tell you the max battery life, it's always tested at 50% volume with lights off. I work 10-12 hr shifts & most days I keep the volume around 50% & it'll go all shift without a charge. But the days I listen to music, the volume stays fully cranked & it'll only go 5-6 hrs before it dies. I was hoping for around half the max life. Even while plugged in to a strong fast charger, it'll drain the battery quicker than it can charge. But if you can deal with that, it's a quality speaker for the money.

Perfect bday party speaker

Exactly what I was looking for. Needed something that was loud enough for an outdoor party but also versatile for other locations. Connects smoothly to my phone and others. And compact enough to fit in any bag. Managed to buy it while it was discounted so that’s an extra plus. My boys argue about whose song gets to be played next. If you are looking for a compact loud speaker for easy and on the go events this is your speaker.

GOOD BUT NO CHARGER

Good sound, good quality. DID NOT COME WITH A CHARGER

Amazing sound and affordable

Amazing! Ready for the beach!

Sound is fair

Pretty great for the price. Sounds a little boxy, some bass, but not ideal for songs with deep bass because it sounds distortioned with the high volume. Id say sound quality is fair. I do recommend the purchase, it does work pretty well.

Great value proposition. Not going to drive a party with this.

I compared this to the Earfun Uboom L and the Jbuds Portable Party speaker.

The Uboom L definitely sounds better than the Go Party, but maybe not enough to justify the cost increase.

The Go Party, surprisingly, does sound slightly better in the mids and trebles than the Jbuds. But the Jbuds definitely wins on bass and room filling capability. The Go Party is good for one person or a small hang out but it can't drive a dance floor like atmosphere like the Jbuds.

Having real buttons and a volume knob is a big plus.

Labsync is nice -- a pair of Go Partys would make a nice home stereo setup.

If you want good sound that can fill the room well, these are a good value. If you want to really feel the music and make have it spread out to adjacent rooms, the Jbuds is the better choice.

A mini party in your hand

I have the next size up and then I got this one and it is awesome and it is great sounding is great power and it's perfect for synchronization where the bluetooth and with the other 2 Jlab speakers. You can create the perfect surround sound. It great for parties. It lasts four hours I have used it for over five hours and the battery is only halfway or less. The color is so cute too. This one is also waterproof. It is so easy to use . It's perfect if you want a smaller speaker that packs a punch.\nAnd is much more portable. I love the fact that it's perfect for casting to the other speaker. It\nWorks amazingly well. It's money well spent.

Levels above the competition

This little speaker just works the way I want it to. The sound is surprisingly full for a compact speaker and the lighting adds a fun touch without feeling gimmicky. It’s sturdy, easy to carry around, and the water resistance gives peace of mind for outdoor use as well as indoor. I've been using it for music at my desk, and taken it to the park for a pleasant picnic. I love the large volume dial, silicone buttons, and sound quality.

Battery life is another strong point. It comfortably lasts through a full day, and the Bluetooth connection stays stable even when you move around. It’s not trying to compete with big, bass heavy speakers, but for its size and price, it feels refined and works.

As long as you have a valid music source, you cannot go wrong with this small power powerful speaker that simply delivers and is easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Good for it's price

Super easy to set up, as soon as I powered it on the first time it was already in pairing mode and connected to my phone right away, it couldn't have been any easier. The RGB lights look really nice and the materials it's made of are of good quality and it feels like a higher-end device. The sound quality is good but not great. At the price-point, I think you are getting decent sound quality but overall I find it lacks bass and highs while being very mid-forward and has an overall flat sort of sound. It's nice and compact, making it very portable but this is probably why it lacks bass. I found it to have very good battery life with using it in my garden for hours without ever needing to charge. Overall a very good quality speaker with some nice features just lacking a bit of power and range of sound.

Warehouse approved

Has great sound! Great for taking to work in a warehouse to listen to podcasts! I plan to buy another one for a fellow employee. She liked it as well. I'm on day two and still have a good charge on the battery. Set up was super easy.

Good for Casual Use

I got this portable speaker because I liked the compact size and the modern design, especially the built-in lights. It definitely delivers on aesthetics. The LED lighting adds a fun touch, especially in darker rooms or outdoor spaces. The speaker is compact, lightweight and easy to carry around, which makes it convenient for travel or casual use around the house.

Using it is very straightforward, just power it on and pair it via Bluetooth. The controls are intuitive and responsive, and I had no trouble syncing it with my phone. The battery life seems decent so far, and I appreciate how it charges quickly and holds a charge well enough for a few hours of music.

That said, the sound quality leaves a bit to be desired. It works fine for casual listening or as a backup speaker, but the audio is a bit muffled in my opinion. There’s very little bass response, and the overall sound lacks the clarity or depth I would hope for, even in a smaller unit. If you're someone who really values crisp audio or rich bass, this could be a deal breaker.

Still, for the price and the visual design, it’s a fun speaker to have on hand, especially if you're not picky about sound quality and just want something with a bit of personality. I wouldn’t rely on it for a party or main entertainment setup, but it’s fine for casual use.

Only get it on sale not for full price

I don’t know if because its a new brand and that they’re still working on their products but it’s not as good as you’ll expect(not the worst too), there is no base it’s just music playing not as loud too…

If you’ll looking for a simple speaker this is the one “BUT” only get it on sale other wise it a waste of money…

And I wish there was a button on the actual speaker to turn off the LED light(you have to use the app)

I have the ANC headphones of the same brand and it’s really good.

Unbelievable specs for the price

As someone who loves to listen to music and podcasts in the shower, I need a waterproof speaker that is lightweight and portable enough to fit in my shower caddy, but still has enough power and volume that I can hear it easily over the running water. This checks all of those boxes as more. Upon unboxing, the speaker itself felt sturdy and well-built. Once I actually turned it on, the sound sealed the deal for me. The audio quality is on par with speakers I've tried that are triple the price. This is a home run release by JLab and an incredible value - you're not getting specs like this at this price point anywhere else.

Punchy Bass, good lightning, long lasting battery.

JLAB hardly misses for their products. I used their earbuds a few times,, they are decent quality for their prices.

This portable speaker is very nice, I’ve had so many different Bluetooth speakers from different brand, and I have never tried any from JLAB.

Now I see they don’t miss on their sound quality, I mean I do have some speakers cost $20 more than this and have more power output, but it’s heavy and bulky. If you need something to take on the go, water proof, and also good sound quality, this JLAB speaker is way to go.

I mean it’s only 10 Watts and 20 Watts peaks power, I feel like is more than enough for majority of the people. If you need truly party speaker than used in the bigger space,, I will look into bigger speakers, at least at 80 Watts and up.

But for the sound quality, how portable it is, this is really good speaker.

Surprisingly powerful!

This is a versatile speaker for its size, its perfect for taking everywhere as its also very lightweight. The sound is surprisingly clear and loud for a 10-watt speaker. It currently serves as my kitchen speakers and for listening to audiobooks while cleaning. My phone connected quickly to it, no issues with bluetooth finding. The playtime is excellent. I got well over 16 hours on a single charge, which is perfect for long days out or small parties. I love the customizable RGB LED lighting, it’s easy to sync with the music and really sets the mood. The Lab app is handy too, letting you tweak the sound and even sync up to 100 speakers, which is pretty impressive if you’re doing larger gatherings. This made me consider options to build an ecosystem.

The waterproofing gives peace of mind for outdoor use though I plan to keep it indoors for longer durability as I live in humid conditions. Overall, it’s fun, functional, and great value for a portable party speaker, perfect for casual use and the color is a beautiful touch for it to sit anywhere.

A great, customizable portable speaker! But wait for it to go on sale.

This is a pretty nice portable speaker.

-Easy to throw in a bag and take it anywhere.

-Easily connected via bluetooth to PC and phone.

-The sound was really good, especially for such a small speaker. It didn't sound tinny and the bass was really decent. It performed well at the loudest setting with no distortion.

-The speaker stays connected even if you don't use it for a little while (as opposed to going to sleep and disconnecting).

-There are a lot of custom options in the JLab app. You can adjust the lights to different colors and lighting patterns, or turn it off altogether. There's also a power settings section for always on. I think I might leave this plugged in and turn on the always on to use it as a computer speaker.

-TWS capable, which I think is cool. TWS allows speakers to connect to each other so you can have a wireless surround sound setup.

-The strap is a loop (not a buckle), so you can't loop it through something. Something else will need to loop through the strap.

-The startup and power down sounds are a little loud for my preferences. I'm not sure if this can be adjusted.

Overall, I really like this speaker and how much it can be customized!

Highly recommend!

So happy with this item, it has great sound quality for a portable speaker. It’s a bit heavy but that pays off in the stability and quality feel of the speaker. It’s a great size and easy to take along with you, even has a carry strap. The outside of the speaker is a woven like material which probably had some sound quality purpose but it makes me a little hesitant to just throw this thing in a bag with other items that could rough it up. Same with the subwoofer on the bottom. I appreciate that it is inlaid a bit which offered some protection. It’s actually a nice feature that the volume controls are on top with a dial so you don’t have to pick up the whole thing to adjust the volume. The light feature is fun and my kid enjoys it. You can download the app and control the light and color settings. Overall, highly recommend, great sound quality, great build quality and features.

Cool Portable Speaker

THIS.... Is the JLab Go Party portable speaker, a small but powerful speaker. This speaker has a few party tricks up its sleeve that sets it apart from the rest. Obviously, there is a cool led ring that lights up as you play music, but it also comes with a nifty strap so you can carry it easily or hang it off of something. JLab did something really cool that I like with the controls, the volume control is an easy to use knob that rotates to alter the sound level which was a great +1. That being said, with the volume knob, this speaker does somewhat look like a water bottle lol... The sound is good and the bass is what you would expect from this category of speaker... so a little bit flat. That being said, the highs and mids are shockingly crystal clear regardless of your sound level. Battery life has been really good, easily over the 12-14 hour mark and charges relatively quick. JLab does have an app that you can use to control this speakers 10 band EQ, this allowed me to adjust the bass somewhat to make it better. Overall, this is a great portable speaker that has proven itself worthy to travel along with me.

Very pretty and well made

Such a good speaker! I have 3 of the more known brand and this design is so pretty and functional. This speaker is the perfect size to remain portable while also providing more than enough power to keep a whole party going. I really enjoy all the different EQ modes such as bass and vocal emphasis that allows you to enjoy your music in any style you desire. I also love the LED light that the speaker has and makes it so much cooler. It is easily portable and I love the handle, they include and the sound quality is great! Truly the best speaker for the price and compares well to the more known brands. I highly recommend it and it was very easy to connect.

Incredibly Easy Setup and Fun, Quality Sound

This speaker is the definition of user-friendly and a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a hassle-free audio experience right away. The setup process was impressively simple; it was very easy to connect. Right out of the box, after turning it on for the first time, it was instantly found on a phone's Bluetooth menu. Music was playing within just two minutes of opening it, which is a testament to how intuitive and easy friendly the design is.

The performance itself is also great. The music quality was good, delivering clear and balanced sound that is more than capable of filling a room or outdoor space. It’s a solid and enjoyable listening experience for a portable speaker.

A standout feature is the customizable RGB LED lighting. The lights are just a fun touch that adds a great party atmosphere to the speaker. This was an especially big hit with the kid, who absolutely loved the light show.

Overall, this is a well-designed and highly functional portable speaker. The combination of excellent, easy connectivity, good sound, and fun features makes it a product that is very easy to recommend. The entire household is very pleased with it.

CRAZY Amazing Sound Packing Into a Small Portable Device!

I've had a few small portable speakers now and didn't expect too much from this one, but as long as it got a little louder than my last one, I was going to be happy. My last one was not very loud at all, even set at the loudest setting, with my phone volume maxed too.

This gets CRAZY loud! I couldn't even believe it! Not only that, but it actually sounds great too. You can hear bass! You can hear rich sound! I'm shocked! Especially given the price!

I got this to use as a computer speaker since my monitor's speakers stink, and to also use by the pool.

It's fairly heavy and feels very well built. I think the rubber handle is the only thing that slightly worries me. I'd like it to be replaceable, in case it gets damaged in the future.

All the buttons are easy to use and fairly intuitive. The control knob feels solid.

The lighting is SO cool! Via the app, you can change the lighting effects, as well as change the colors as you wish (both colors and the order of them). The lights follow the music and really add an extra layer of fun.

Since you can sync these speakers with others, I plan to sync this one with a computer sound bar I'll be getting soon. I can't wait to see how it works!

I am already extremely impressed by this speaker. It's been amazing so far and I can't wait to see how much fun it brings us in the future.

Lights are optional, sound is acceptable

This Bluetooth “party” speaker leans heavily on the party part, which in this case means a flashing light show that defaults to “mild disco meltdown.” Thankfully, the lights can be turned off through the app, and once you do that, you’re left with a speaker that’s… fine. Not amazing, not terrible, just serviceable. But for the price and the target audience none of this is criticism.

Sound quality is clear enough, and while it lacks serious bass, it holds its own. There’s a tiny down-firing subwoofer on the bottom - likely passive, though I’d say I’m about 80% sure on that. It doesn't deliver thump, but it helps round things out. I ran a few tracks through it to test the range - Sharks by Imagine Dragons, Bad Self Portraits by Lake Street Dive, and Can I Get a Witness by SonReal. All sounded good enough to keep the energy up. And even at higher volumes (high for my middle-aged ears, at least) there was no noticeable distortion.

Physically, it’s got a nice rubber strap for travel, and it’s light enough to toss into a bag. The exterior is fabric-wrapped, which looks decent but might not be ideal for sandy environments. If you're headed to the beach, just know you may end up bringing home half of it in the speaker grille.

All in all, it’s a decent little unit for casual listening. It won’t shake the walls, but it also won’t embarrass itself. Turn the lights off, turn the music up, and it gets the job done.

Nice speaker for the price

I'm impressed with this speaker. It's not the best sound I've ever heard, but it's good for the price and it has plenty of volume. You won't be blown away by the base or anything, but it holds its own.

Pairing was easy and seamless, as soon as it went into pairing mode it appeared on my phone for easy connection. The volume knob controls volume on your phone, so you don't have any issues with the speaker volume being too high but the phone muted leading to a massive blast of sound when you unmute.

The speaker feels well built, with a nice fabric exterior treatment and silicone carrying strap. Over all I think this speaker is a good value for the price.

Great sound and a nice design

This Bluetooth speaker has a great design, neat flashing lights with multiple flashing patterns and a great sound. It has an equalizer that you can adjust through several variations including a heavy bass one. The speaker is about the size of a tall can of soda or beer and packs a punch for its size. It was super easy to connect to Bluetooth on both my phone and my TV and you can connect multiple speakers together for a larger sound. Its portable enough to throw in a bag or keep in your car and easy to travel with. I like it
