Great cordless mic for string players! Fast charging, lasts many hours.

I’m a violist who needed a wireless microphone to play in a rock musical. I was skeptical about the ones that use suction cups. Both I and the violinist got these. His is attached to the left while playing, mine on the right. The magnet is easy to place wherever is best for the player. The microphone pops right in and stays put! It works great in the theater! I highly recommend for string players!

Works well

I have a few Kenbaidio products, and have found them to be pretty well-made with good frequency response for the price. This U-750 model fits that pattern well enough.

First impression: both the transmitter and receiver were already paired and set to matching frequencies, and fully charged, so it was very plug and play.

I tested them through a tube amp, there were some of the warm characteristics of a tube amp in the sound but otherwise the sound quality seemed even and accurate.

A couple things to consider: it's UHF-based, so the signal is strong and clear with little latency, but it's sensitive to interference from nearby metal sources which basically become antennas, so you have to worry about feedback and errant signals.

Concerns aside, the mic sounds good, it comes with a nice hard shell carrying case, it's a decent price (in my opinion) for the quality and usability. Overall, I'd be comfortable recommending this product to most.

Reception spotty, mic neck too stiff and short

I reaaaally wanted this to be great, because I need to transfer a mic like this between a mandolin, a classical guitar, and a harp or two.

However, it suffers from three problems that keep it from a 5-star rating.

First and most critically, sound quality. The gain isn’t high enough to get a clean tone, but it’s too easy to get low note feedback with my classical guitar being anywhere near the speaker. So you’ve got the unpleasant combo of it sounding like it’s not loud enough (and kind of muddy), but you can’t turn it up more. If you only ever use it to play through a FOH system either no monitors, this might not be much of a problem. For everyone else, your mileage may vary depending on instrument and positioning whether you can get a clean tone. And on the harp, anywhere in the sound holes in the back was just way to bassy and muddy, even to be mixed with a condenser mic around the front to add clarity.

Second, versatility in positioning (or struggle therewith). On the classical guitar I couldn’t affix it to the soundboard because it would pick up waaaay too much low frequency thumps and hum from the guitar moving around against my body or touching my fingers. And if I affixed it at the “top” of the body (when held, see photo) the microphone gooseneck wasn’t long enough to reach or flexible enough to position it up above the sound hole. With such a short gooseneck, it was also difficult to position it on an f-style mandolin somewhere it would be out of the way of my strumming hand.

Finally, connectivity is tricky. You really have to have clear line of sight between the mic unit and the receiver to avoid some truly ugly crackle distortion. I had a subwoofer (MDF body and a transducer) between the receiver and mic with only 10feet between them and it was ghastly. I moved the subwoofer and it was mostly okay. So it’s easy to get distortion and it sounds awful when you do.

Overall the functionality is VERY basic: it turns on, you can change channel, and you can adjust the output at the receiver. The magnet idea is great but the mic itself is the weak link.

I debated long and hard whether to go with 3 or 4 stars, and I have to go for 3 stars at the $130+ price because the drawbacks just don’t deliver the value for that kind of money. In some circumstances and for some instruments this will be perfect. Just not for any of my classical guitar, f-style mandolin, or concert harp.

One of the best instrument attachment mics I’ve tried, for both setup and sound.

I really like this mic, both in the way it attaches, and the way it performs. Great sounding pickup, which is of course the chief concern with a mic. Currently using it for a Silvertone acoustic guitar, which is old, but it is capturing the clarity needed for such a task, and the resonance. I have it EQd fairly equally across the spectrum, even though it is primarily a higher end mic. But the mids and lows are still terrific and all sound comes in equally well.

What I like about the mounting on this is the new sticky magnets. I’m really glad Kenbaidio included 2 more extra magnets, making it easy to change position or quickly switch over to another instrument and just leave the magnets installed where you like them best. The quietness and clarity of this unit is exceptional.

Excellent instrument microphone that is adaptable to various instruments

Fantastic instrument microphone apparatus that is really easy to use. It's easy in terms of connecting to the instrument whether guitar or banjo or other instrument - and also as far as helping to amplify the sound so it is robust quality but not overbearing.

This versatility makes it so easy to use with various instruments from a functional standpoint. The quality seems decent as far as the sound and overall functionality. I really like the clip as it can adapt to multiple instruments. The quality seems very good but also related to being something that should be durable in the future.

When we've used this microphone when performing, it has been a big hit and very well received. Absolutely recommend.

A pretty good wireless instrument pickup, with some quirks.

This is a pretty good wireless instrument pickup, with some quirks that make it not ideal. It comes in a very nice zipped case that holds all the parts and accessories. Unfortunately, while the manual describes the volume control and pairing functions of the device, it has no instructions on how to attach the device to your instrument, so I had to look at the photos on the website. The unit consists of a receiver that can plug into any amplifier or mixing board with its 1/4" plug or it's mini adapter, and a transmitter microphone pickup that attaches to a magnet you stick to your instrument. The pickup itself sits on a flexible wire that you can adjust to where it best picks up sound. I use it on an acoustic guitar, so I set the location just behind the sound hole, and attached the transmitter to the side of the bottom of the guitar. Attaching to the guitar is a bit tricky, in that the magnet sticks on to the guitar with some glue that is on it. The glue is covered with a piece of paper that you strip off, but when I stripped off the paper the first time, the glue came off with it. Luckily they provide you with many additional glue strips. I'm also not thrilled with gluing something to a nice guitar finish, but the glue seems not to do any damage. The transmitter is attracted to the magnet and has a notch on it that makes it sit firmly on the magnet. I did have some issues if I moved my leg around a lot, in that I sometimes pushed the transmitter off the magnet. I may try attaching it to the top of the guitar instead of the bottom, but then I'll have to worry about knocking it with my right hand. So that's one issue. The sound itself is good, but a bit on the bass side and a high pass filter would be a good addition. I also had trouble when plugging the receiver into an amplifier for live performance, in that if you get too close to a monitor speaker you can experience feedback. I was able to adjust this with a little tweaking. The wireless capability and battery life both seem to be very good. So my overall feeling is that this is an okay device for the price, especially because it is wireless, but that perhaps a wired pickup for the same price installed permanently in the guitar would provide better sound and less awkwardness.

Great acoustic mic!

The UHF Wireless Instrument Microphone system has been a really practical addition to my acoustic guitar setup, especially for situations where I want to move around freely without being tethered by a cable.

Setup is refreshingly simple. The transmitter and receiver pair quickly, and there’s no complicated menu diving or confusing configuration. It’s essentially plug, clip, and play. The detachable magnetic clip makes mounting the mic to my acoustic guitar fast and secure, and it doesn’t feel like it’s putting stress on the instrument or getting in the way while playing.

Once connected, the signal has been stable and consistent. I haven’t experienced dropouts or interference during normal use, which is important for anything wireless, especially in a live or practice environment. The advertised range is more than enough for typical stage or rehearsal spaces, and even moving around a larger room hasn’t caused any noticeable issues.

In terms of sound quality, it performs well for its category. The tone coming through is clear and natural enough for acoustic guitar use, with a decent balance between body resonance and string articulation. It’s not trying to replace a high-end studio mic setup, but for live amplification and casual recording situations, it delivers a clean and usable sound.

What I also appreciate is how lightweight and unobtrusive the system is. Once attached, it doesn’t feel like it’s affecting the instrument’s balance or playability. That matters more than people expect, especially during longer playing sessions.

Overall, this is a straightforward and effective wireless mic system for acoustic instruments. It’s easy to install, stable in operation, and produces good sound quality without overcomplicating anything. For acoustic guitar use specifically, it’s a solid and convenient solution that makes performing and practicing a lot more flexible.

Good value multi-instrument wireless!

I was pleased to see the specs on this Kenbadio wireless mic, and while there were several to choose from, I thought this would be the most universal. I appreciate that this is in a decent band for U.S. wireless users, as obsolescence is always a risk.

The mounting system seems to be a good compromise of utility and reusability. I like that it is keyed, so that once mounted the setup is easily repeatable and stable. I'll need to use it a while to gauge performance and susceptibility to feedback, but I'll update if there are concerns.

One aspect concerns me...the vulnerability of the receiver's plug. Because the receiver has some length to it, that poses two issues. First, the possibility of someone walking by and just snapping it off by hitting it. And second, just the general wear and tear on jacks from that kind of weight being cantilevered. It's easily worked around, by just using a short cable extension. But this is a small design flaw that could have been better thought out.

Still, a workaround is available so it's not a deal killer. And the value for the price is competitive.

Reliable Wireless Mic System with Great Sound Quality

This wireless instrument microphone system is an excellent choice for musicians looking for a dependable and easy-to-use setup. Right out of the box, the build quality stands out; it feels well made, sturdy, and designed to handle regular use. Both the transmitter and receiver have a solid construction, giving confidence that they’ll hold up well during rehearsals and performances.

The sound quality is impressive, delivering clear and consistent audio without noticeable interference. It does a great job of preserving the natural tone of the instrument, which is incredibly important for live playing or recording. I’ve found the connection between the transmitter and receiver to be stable, allowing for freedom of movement without worrying about dropouts. It really enhances the overall playing experience by eliminating the hassle of cables.

This is a fantastic wireless solution for musicians of all levels. It’s simple to set up, performs reliably, and provides great sound quality in a compact system. Whether you’re practicing at home, performing on stage, or recording, this transmitter and receiver combo gets the job done well. I’m very happy with the performance and would recommend it to anyone in need of a quality wireless instrument microphone system.

Great external wireless mic for guitar/bass, cello/viola, sax, ...

This is a versatile, pro-quality wireless microphone that can be used with a wide range of instruments. The printed instructions provided with it do a great job in explaining how to set the mic up, including how to choose and set your transmission frequency (a process you'll want to learn, in the event that you encounter interference at your studio or venue). It comes with its own hard case, too!

Works great

This is a convenient way to amplify an acoustic guitar that doesn’t have built‑in electronics. It’s especially handy if you want a simple plug‑and‑play solution without modifying your instrument. The set includes three different bases so you can attach it to a variety of guitars, which makes it far more versatile than single‑mount options. One of the nicest surprises is that it uses its own isolated signal path, so it doesn’t interfere with other wireless gear you may already be running. For anyone who plays in environments with multiple wireless systems, church setups, small venues, or home studios; that’s a big plus. The overall design is straightforward, and once you match the right base to your guitar, it works exactly as expected. It’s a practical tool for players who want amplification without committing to permanent electronics, and it’s easy to keep in a gig bag for those moments when you need quick, clean amplification.

Good quality sound... Little clunky, but sounds clean over wireless.

I am fairly impressed with this Kenbaidio wireless mic solution for instruments like accoustic guitars, violins, cellos, and in my case ukuleles etc.

The unit comes with a nice protective carry case with a zipper that holds everything together. The kit comes with a microphone that has a magnetic (sticky mount), once in place on your instrument, it the main mic unit can attach and detatch easily... but the adhesive piece might be a little effort to remove and relocate, as this is a fairly sticky mounting piece. This does come with 2 etras (3 total) that are the mounting base pieces... so that would come in handy if you have multiple instruments that you might be using with this mic.

The connectivity and ease of use is very easy... for me, I simply turned on the receiver unit and the mic, and these were automatically tuned into the same channel and effortlessly connected.

The signal was surprisingly clean, even in close proximity to my computer which ferociously emits EMF static like crazy... this did surprisingly well compared to some of ther mics I have that really pick up this interference... This was nice and clean after >1' distance from the computer. I have not noticed any wireless artifacts or "squiggly" noises that I tend to hear on some sub-par wireless equipment that is not in the pro-audio grade territory.

The unit is a little bit cluncky if I were to attempt to find anything to critisize, but overall this isn't a problem if you find a good spot to mount on your instrument.... the sound quality is what is important primarily, and this covers that base.

The battery life is promising, and I have yet to completely drain the batteries during my usage periods, though this does boast a workable 6 hours operating time after about 2-3 hours charge time. This might be an issue if you are going to be performing for longer than that. I personally don't see myself using this past 2-3 hour shows or recordings.

The distance is an impressive distance at around 190', and line of sight helps with the wireless, and it's best to not have anything in the middle of the receiver or transmitter (mic) that might impede the signal, though this wasn't an issue for me. My quarters aren't so wide in my use, so distance isn't an issue. I am confident however that this would bode well at the distances this claims.

Overall this wireless mic offers the quality of sound I desire in a step towards professional recordings and performances, and I have yet to have any issues with this. It's relatively affordable compared to other options, and most of all this is a good clean signal. I am quite happy with it's quality without breaking the bank.
