A great value if you line on-ear headphones!

I'm not the biggest fan of on-ear headphones. I personally prefer over-ear style. They're in general more comfortable for me. That being said, these are not uncomfortable. They are boxed really well and came in pristine. The paperwork is more htan needed, and it also comes with a charging cable, though it's not much needed since the battery lasts around 4 days or so. The seemless bluetooth connection paired with my phone without any issues and have had no issues using them. I have had another Kensington brand headphone and those displayed strange audio artifacting (if that's the term for it), but these have had no problems. Crisp clear sound every time. Still, end the end I ended up giving them to a friend and went back to my lower quality but more comfortable for me over-ear pair.

Good, but too tight

Overall these are good. Bluetooth headphones, easy to connect and have that nice built-in mic. But they are so tight when you put them on. I guess for people who don't wear glasses maybe that's not an issue, but for us glass is wearing folks. This is just not comfortable.

Perfect for the office

These Kensington headphones are awesome for the office. Their Bluetooth, so I just connected them to my work laptop and they have been great for Zoom of Teams calls.

The design is nice - they don’t look bulky - and they have some nice thoughtful features.

The microphone stalk is on the left side and pivots down. When folded out, this unmutes the mike; folding it back in mutes it.

There is a voice guide that tells you the status of things (Mike muted/unmuted, connected to…,etc).

They are really comfortable with good sound and participants on the calls can hear you loud and clear. There is a volume dial on the bottom of one earpiece and a on/off and pair button on the other.

Well worth the money for those that like to have dual headphones and not just one headset over one ear. I need to have both ears covered so I don’t have to listen to the call and the folks around me.

budget wireless headset

these are a cheap wireless headset so expectations should be on check, it does the job pairing quickly via bluetooth but the headset itself feels like a toy rather than a communication tool, that's ok because they are very lightweight which is appreciate, but adjustability is limited and can be prone to uncomfortable use. The audio quality is ok, sound is tiny and the mic quality is nothing to write about. I guess if you're in a hurry and need a headset that does the job this probably will suit well, but for those looking a proper communication tool with clear voice and sound quality that doesn't feel like a disposable airplane earbuds, this is not it. again for this price point is hard to find a proper headset but there are cheaper ones that does suit the job as well. I only recommend them on sale

Affordable conference call headphones

These are functional working headphones that are perfect for conference calls or basic music / youtube viewing. They are on ear headphones, not over ear, with relatively small earpieces. So less prone to getting your ears hot, but a little less comfortable as well.

The sound quality is acceptable, not stellar - fine for voices, and even background listening to music, but if you are really focused on the sound quality you can find plenty of nits to pick.

The mic is again acceptable quality, perfect for conference calls and meetings, not good enough for recording your next album. I like that it mutes (and announces muted) if you close the mic, and unmuted if you pull it all the way down. Easy and intuitive.

They can connect to two devices at once - just pair them each separately, and then you can connect both at once and it works fine. If you are playing media on one device and a call comes in, or you start music on the other it will pause the first (if the device supports that control) and switch to the latest one to start playback. Fairly intuitive, this feature works quite well.

The band felt tight on my large head at first, but after opening them up to the right settings I haven't had any discomfort. But they are a little better fit if you have a smaller head I think.

If you have a larger budget and want fancy headphones for immersive music listening, these aren't it. But for $30 at the time of review, they are serviceable work headphones that can dual pair with your computer and phone and are great for the work meeting so many of us have to take on our computers at home these days.

Solid Headset, Tough on Ears

Setup was fast, connection stable, and the sound quality solid for calls or music. Feels sturdy enough to last, but the ear pads press a bit too firmly for long use.

What Works Well

• Reliable Bluetooth 5.4 connection.

• Easy-to-reach earcup controls.

• Good mic clarity with ENC.

Worth a Second Look

Padding could use more softness for comfort.

tl;dr

Dependable everyday headset, best for shorter sessions. 🎧

Nice quality headset, especially for office use

As your would expect from a name like Kensington, the headset comes efficiently packaged with plenty of documentation in several languages. The headset appears pretty sturdy and was comfortable when I used it for a Teams meeting, almost right out of the box. Most things about the headset are pretty straight forward until you get to the “multi-function button” and then begin to realize that the power button (right next to it) is also a multi-function button as well. These two buttons allow you to control many functions (often contextual — ie if you are listening to music clicking 1x is play/pause, however if a connected phone is ringing 1x click answers.) There are 7 combinations of clicks and long-clicks for the multi-function button, and three for the power button, so that is 10 functions in less than 1 inch of space on your left ear. Other things are a bit more straight forward — like muting your mic is simply folding the little boom back into the earpiece. Volume roller is self-explanatory as is the USB charging port. There is also a small red/blue LED indicator light that helps signal the unit’s status (alternating is pairing, blinking blue is paring with known device, blinking blue is connected and 1.5 seconds of red blinking is powering off.)

This is a nice over-ear headset, but is not overly large and bulky. It is a nice mix of form and function. Very happy with the product, the quality (physical and audio performance.) A very nice headset for the price, don’t know if it will make audiophiles happy, but for office use and Teams/Zoom it is more than enough!

Amazing for the price. Good connection, good sound, decent mic..

This headset surprised me. For the price I was expecting somewhat cheap build, average sound, and a mic that bottoms out easily.

This is not that. The Bluetooth connection is rock soild, it's maintaing from a few rooms away... the mic is nice and clear for phone calls, and the sound is what id expect on something double the price. Bass was pronounced, mids well defined and treble wasn't tinny. At this price, its a steal.

Great headset … no wires!

This is a bluetooth headset/boom microphone perfect for video conferencing. I’ve been using a headset with a USB cable for a bit and it’s crazy how annoying that cable is. This was such a pleasure to have my first call and not have to worry about pulling the wire or tangling with anything. If you’re a “pacer” like me you’ll appreciate being able to walk around and talk without wires.

The headset charges quickly. Pairing with Windows was straight forward, and it re-connects flawlessly. Sound is neutral, which is perfect for voice calls. Volume is adjustable both on the headset via old school knob, and via your device. My advice there is to set half volume on the headset and half on the device and from then on only adjust through the device.

The microphone folds up and flips down as needed, and I’m told the audio on the other end of a call sounds natural and of sufficient volume.

Build quality is decent and I expect this will last. Overall very satisfied with this.

Best for inside p.c. use.

Bluetooth pairing was easy. The sound is not bad for the price point. Bass is not bad but could be a bit better. Noise cancelling in the microphone is good and people say they can hear me clearly when I am outside, but wind does seem to howl through a little bit. For this reason, I will have to say these are mainly for inside use with p.c. gaming or Zoom calls. The fold away Microphone is a nice feature. It folds into the earmuff well and is not at all bothersome when not in use. Fit is ok but a little tight. Build quality is where I took away a star. They do feel flimsy. Very light. Almost like they are a toy. This may not be a bad thing as little weight means they don't slide on your head as you move around. The buttons on the side are close together and for someone with large fingers you may press both at the same time. Volume is a rotary dial type and works ok. Bluetooth distance is not bad as I walked away from computer. About 15 feet unobstructed.

Great sound quality, a bit tight for big heads

Update: I’m really enjoying these headphones. I’ve figured out I. A really extend one side and put it behind my ear and it’s not tight at all. I forget I’m wearing it even! I don’t like how I sound with the full noise blocking muffs so this works great for me. I’m returning the Star I took off the first review.

Has good sound, connects with ease, and if you’re looking to block out all background noise so you can hear clearly, this is one is here for you. Those ear muffs are all encompassing, sealing in around those ears nicely.

My only gripe is industry wide, not so much in this manufacturer. Someone needs to address the fat headed people in the room. Just making it expand at the center top isn’t enough. Those sides are still curled around us putting more pressure than is comfy on our big ole mean muggin mugs. 🤪

That’s the only reason for the one star loss, big heads need love too. All y’all skinny headed peeps gonna be lovin it tho 😆

Quality Headset from a Brand I Trust

I've had many Kensington products over the years, and they were always good. This headset is the same. I like the features and especially the flip to mute microphone. Mute buttons on some other headphones never let me know that I'm muted for sure. This one tells me in a voice, and it's also easy to know if my microphone is down I'm unmuted, and if its flipped up, I'm muted. Makes muting a no-brainer. The quality of the sound is better than my other wireless headphones/headsets, but not as good as my AirPods (I wouldn't expect them to rival that quality, but I'm just letting you know). These are definitely a good product and are a good value.
