Hello, this went great until it cracked. No added weight. Always held base at clamp when adjusting. Wish I could return/exchange. Didn’t last months before snapping.

I've been using it for a few months and the power button is broken. I can turn it on sometimes, but I can't get it to turn off without unplugging it. Plus there is no way to contact the sellers for customer support.

One wasn’t all that bad, the other false advertising & refunded.
This is different. BAD PRODUCT. WORSE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
I am so disappointed. My new KIRKAS 3-point articulating magnification lamp arrived April 7. Today, August 1st, no light. Used ~ 10 hrs. In *less than four (4) months* it’s DEAD.
ZERO customer service. No return. No replacement. No warranty.
I wasn’t angry when I saw that my new lamp failed in less than four months, just disappointed. After wasting my time with garbage ‘AI’ — clearly a few crap answers repeated unintelligently — trying to find a remedy, even relevant contact info, I grew furious.
Lamp is WORTHLESS.
Seems I can’t do anything with the BROKEN LAMP I bought so recently. Please STAY AWAY from KIRKAS Magnifying lamp. It’s defective, works only briefly, has no warranty, wastes your money & the seller DOESN’T CARE.
AVOID. Wish I had.

Is this normal? It doesn’t seem normal.

I bought this magnifying glass to add to my new scroll saw. It replaces an older magnifying glass. I was skeptical, but needed better reach, more magnification and light variation. To my surprise, this affordable glass fit all of my needs including better reach and function from the back side of the saw. In fact, I don’t require my reader glasses anymore along with my old antiquated magnifier. This is a great purchase and Im super satisfied.

I needed light and magnifying for my diamond painting
Light is little brightness
It's bit weight

I’ll admit I didn’t pay attention to the size specs before ordering, so I was surprised at how small it is. That said, it’s very lightweight, easy to assemble, and plugs in without issue. It connects via USB with an adapter charger, and the dials to adjust the light from cool to warm are smooth and intuitive—no clicking or stiff resistance.
The power switch didn’t turn on right away (it may need to be charged first), and there were no real written instructions included—only a note about replacing the lamp head screw. The magnification is excellent: crystal clear, though in my video you’ll see some black flecks because I didn’t clean the lens before using it.
Overall, I’m pretty pleased so far. My only hesitation is whether the price reflects long-term durability—but that’s something only time will tell.

Hey there! I’m writing to share my thoughts on the Kirkas 10x magnifying glass with light and stand.
I’m not gonna sugarcoat it - this is the best magnifying light I’ve ever used. I’ve tried a bunch of different brands over the years, and this one stands out. You can mount it in two ways. One way is to use the clamp to attach it to a desk or table. The other way is to use it free-standing by the weighted base. The weighted base is a great combination of width and weight. I can move the adjustable arm up and down, side to side, and the light stays super stable. It doesn’t tip over, even when I’m shaking it around.
You adjust the magnification by how close or far you move the light to the thing you’re looking at. The light brightness is also adjustable. And guess what? You can even adjust the color temperature! This means you can change the light from cool to warm shades.
The width of the light/magnifier is just right - not too small, not too big.
I’m an amateur radio operator, and electronics is a big hobby of mine. I’m currently working on fixing an old rotary dial phone using this light. I also fix computers and build radio equipment.
I’ve tried diamond art too, but it was a bit tricky because of the small pieces and tight spaces. Honestly, I’m not really a diamond art fan, but this light did make it a bit easier.
If you sew, I think this light would be a great help for you.
I have to warn you, though. This LED light/magnifier is not meant to be used as a medical device. But after I got it, I had a serious eye injury. I needed glasses to read, but I couldn’t wear them because of the injury. This light allowed me to still do day-to-day things like reading a pill bottle or light reading of a newspaper. The adjustable magnification, along with the adjustable brightness and temperature control, made it so I could read without irritating my eyes. If you also wear glasses, this might make it much easier for you.
In the end, I highly recommend this Kirkas. It’s one of the best LED light/magnifiers I’ve ever used.

Nice packaging, can improve on two things. First the desk edge holder is not deep enough to safely mount the lamp. (see first picture). Second the lamp is not bright enough even setting to the max (see second image, my monitor is much brighter than the lamp....

It seems like I’m reviewing an earlier version of this product than what’s currently available, but hopefully, it’s from the same reliable brand. I am posting in case someone looking for my version of the product review.
Pluses:
- Sturdiness: It’s exceptionally stable, with no broken threads or wobbly parts - definitely built for heavy-duty use.
- Light Quality: The adjustable lighting on the top is excellent, offering great clarity for tasks.
- Premium Feel: The packaging and attention to detail are comparable to top brands.
- Power Adapter: Mine came with a 10W adapter, so you’ll need a 2A socket if you’re not using the one provided.
- Versatile Mounting Options: Includes a very heavy base and a table connector for different setups.
Minuses:
- Heavy Base Limitation: If you’re using the heavy base, you’ll likely need to position your object directly over it for stability. Off-center use might compromise balance.
- Magnification Limits: As with most similar products, the real magnification is closer to 2x or, at best, 3x - not the advertised 10x.
Overall:
This is a good-quality product with great functionality for general tasks. However, if you need higher magnification, I recommend looking at digital microscopes with built-in lights and screens. They cost a bit more but offer far greater detail with similar size and features.

The best part of this is the light. The dials are awesome and give you much better control than buttons. It has a great spectrum of light, and it has a nice dimmer. The downer of this is the light mount. It has a nice design and is built well, but the thumbscrew on the desk mount doesn't stay tight and the hardware used to tighten the pivot points is cheap. They must know this as you will get a spare in the box. The magnifying lens is really nice. No scratches out of the box and about 108mm (4-1/4") across. If you don't readjust it much, you will love it. If you are like me, and move it every other time you use it, spend a lot more.

This tool is a must have if you like to fix small electronics or even clean out your phones charge port, which is exactly what I used it for. It comes with just about everything you need to get started, the only thing I noticed that it didn't' come with is a cover for the magnified glass part. This is very important because if the sunlight hits it through a window, a fire could happen, so please use this with knowledge and keep it stored properly. Putting this thing together was quick and painless, and you can get up and going with it pretty quick. I has two different ways that it can be mounted, on the included plate, or you can use a clamp style mount for it to be on a desk. I opted to use the clamp style mount and it fits nicely on my desk and out of the way. The arm allows you to basically move it in any direction you want! The best feature of this is the light part, you can change the brightness as needed and also the color temp. I was able to get the dirt and debris out of my iPhone charge port with ease thanks to this.

Works as described perfect for hobbyists with old eyes for light and magnification

This is lower to mid range in quality for what it does, but you can do far worse for the same price. Far better for the same price, probably not.
The lens is made of real glass. It did not scratch with a mild steel pin. It is not overly large in diameter but with that comes the downside. It's hard to get both eyes to get clear focus as you're looking through the edges with both eyes. This is the main reason for the 3 star rating. An extra bit in diameter would make the visibility and clarity far better. As it is, if you close one eye, it's great, but that kind of defeats the purpose of this type of setup. All the pictures misrepresent the actual size.
The table clamp is junk. The rubber rubs on the side as its opening up and popping out. It's light and flimsy. Oddly, the table mount is quite heavy and stable, so use that instead.
The controls work great. You can adjust the color temperature from yellowish to bright white. The brightness control is seamless and useable.
Beware of the knobs. More specifically the nuts and bolts when turning the knobs. They will cut your fingers as they are sharp and close.

Now this is a nice unit for lighting a project you are working on. You can change the light from daylight bright to evening dim and from bright to dim in intensity. The image in the lens is sharp, though a bit distorted around the edges of the lens. But the claimed magnification is nowhere near what the advertising leads you to believe. The claim is, "Equipped with a 10X real glass optical magnifier, ..." Now maybe "10X real glass" is a kind of glass and the 10X doesn't mean 10 power magnification. But a number followed by an "X" has indicated the power of a lens for as far back as I can remember - which is considerable. The second photo shows the flyer that came with the unit shown without the lens to magnify it. The third photo shows it as seen through the so called 10X lens. Not much larger, is it.
The general formula for calculating the magnification power of a simple lens is the focal length of the lens in mm divided into 250mm. I checked the focal length on a distant object. It is about 200mm. That gives a power of 250/200 or 1 and a quarter power.
Other than not delivering the magnification the ad seems to indicate with the "10X real glass optical magnifier," the unit is fairly well constructed and could be quite useful for lighting a small work project.

I love to paint kindness rocks - the ones you leave in public places for other people to find to brighten up their day. As I've gotten older, it is harder to see the details - especially when working on a small canvas like a rock. I am very excited about this magnifying glass set with 10x magnification. First off, it is real glass so the images are crystal clear. Second, this is a heavy-duty set. Third, the base is really solid so it won't tip over on you. Fourth, you can set it on the stand or you can use the clamp option to fix it on your table edge. Both ways work great, but it gives you choices for your situation and what works best for you. Fifth, you can dial up or down both the light and the color temperature mode. Sixth, it has lots of options for positioning and has a really long reach if needed. I am going to get a ton of use out of this!

As i am getting older eye sights start failing on me, this product help me get back to fixing tiny stuffs and it work flawlessly. I mounted my lamp at the back edge of my table and everything stay in place as it should

Don’t know how I was getting by without it. Sturdy construction. Definitely recommend

When I got this, I didn't realize what was in the box. My old magnifier was a heavy beast of a device. This sucker is really light. That definitely works to its advantage.
First off, this comes well packaged in fitted foam inside a cardboard box. The device is well protected. Secondly, it has some great features like dimming and warmth settings. The two dials let you dim or brighten, and also select the coolness or warmth of the light. If you're working with colors that you want to be sure look a certain way under specific lighting conditions, this is a great feature. The optics are as good as any of these types of magnifiers I've had in the past.
The mount is pretty deep, but wasn't deep enough for the workbench I had planned to mount this to. The bench has really thick trim. However, it is so light, that I was able to mount it to the top shelf instead. So its mounted upside down! Still able to do all the adjustments I need and being upside down it actually is easier to get it out of the way when not needed. See photos.
Super happy with this device.

I have a tight space on my workbench I wanted to fit this into and was attracted by this small size. Overall, I like this magnifier. The biggest issue is the mount is not very secure because of its small size. Moving the arm around was very floppy and it sometimes slipped off the desk. The very small footprint and the rubber pad make this very unstable and almost useless. Fortunately, the foot is solid metal and I drilled two holes for screws and removed this rubber pad. I screwed the foot into a larger piece of wood and this fixed everything. I have not decided on a permanent solution because I will likely be using this in several locations.
It does not bend back very far. The arm metal hits once it bends back less than 20 degrees. This probably won't be an issue for most. I needed it to get as close to the edge as possible. I will probably mount it on a side arm a couple inches away from the table. I've had problems with similar designs for lights and camera mounts with the end gimble not being strong enough to keep the light level. So far, this one seems to hold level well. I like the turning brightness level control much better than push buttons. Overall I like this magnifier. It is just that the mounting is a poor design and you might not be interested in having to do modifications.

This Kirkas 10X magnifying glass with light is super handy to have at my desk! I struggle now (older, so opthamologist said far sightedness happens...) with reading small print like newspapers, magazines, menus, cellphones, etc. and have to use 1.5x reading glasses. And even then, the print is so tiny that with the reading glasses it's almost impossible that I have to use my cellphone to snap a photo or enlarge it.
With this Kirkas unit, it has a light and magnifies, making it even faster than grabbing the cell phone. It clamps to my desk and can swing and swivel, making it easy to use. And because it's mounted to the desk, I don't have to fumble and dig around my desk looking for the strong magnifying glass to use in addition to the reading glasses. And the clamping mount allows me to work on stuff with both hands as well.
This works with a USB cable (provided) and comes with the necessary desk clamps to mount it to your desk.
The price has come down from the time I ordered at $33 to just under $20, so it's a really good deal now. This desk mounted magnifying glass with light is a very useful item!

This is a very good quality magnifying lamp. The LED light works great and I like being able to adjust the brightness and color shade. I had hoped that the magnifying glass was going to be a bit larger but it does work well with the 10x magnification lens. The spring loaded arms are nice and there are tension adjusting knobs to hold the lens at the position I desire. The clamp that secures the lamp to a tabletop even has rubber cushions to prevent indentations on softer surfaces. This is a must have for me since I am getting older and this magnifying lamp is a lifesaver for working on smaller projects and hobbies.
GingerNerd
The magnifying glass on this works well. The light is nice, if a little dimmer than I like even set to full brightness. I do like that the light has different color modes.
The clamp that is used to attach it to a desk is not very sturdy and the lamp only attaches one way, so it has to be clamped to the horizontal surface of the desk. My desk has some vertical supports on it, which is where I wanted to attach my lamp so I was a little disappointed there was no out-of-the-box option for this. I was however able to easily 3D print an attachment that allows me to use the lamp in the way I wanted to, but since that isn't an option for everyone I won't consider it in my rating.
the arm does not move very smoothly out of the box, however I suspect that with some usage the springs will loosen up a bit and it will more more smoothly.
I'm glad I got this product free through Vine, because I likely would have returned it otherwise.

I ordered this for hobbies like working on electronics and soldering, etc. The base is very sturdy - it holds the light easily even as you move it around. The light itself has 2 continuous dials - one is a dimmer and the other is the color temperature of the light itself. Pretty nice feature - I like warm light for most lamps, but for detailed work I prefer a daylight color for better clarity. The magnifier will take some getting used to - it can be a bit disorienting, but it does magnify quite well. My only complaint is the clamp to mount it to a table can only be oriented on a horizontal surface. I wanted to clamp it to the side of a shelf or a wall stud, but there isn't a hole oriented parallel to the clamp surface. I also think it's a bit expensive for what it does. But overall, it's a pretty good product.

I was hoping that it truly was stable in a full out position. Well. It is not. I finally got it to stay for my sewing purposes, but I had to put some weights in it. Otherwise I do like the light.
Dawn M
Received as expected! The recipient comments on it everyday how much they love it, how easy it is to use/setup, doesn’t take up any space and how clear they can see the details in their work when using the magnifying glass rather than the light/magnifying headset they’ve been using.
John Smith
The magnification of the magnifier is not 10X. at most it is 3X.
The base will break after a while.
Johna Landi
I love this easy to attach magnifying lamp, this allows me to work on small projects with ease.
I love the dim-able feature and the flexibility of the arm I can see all the nooks and crannies.
Gemma
This lamp works great for my needs, especially little things like reading too small font or doing diamond paintings. Only a few things irk me:
1. The table clip does not stay solid on my table. No matter how carefully I move the arm, the clip will wiggle off fairly quickly.
2. The lamp does tip at the base unless you keep the lamp in a specific position over it. I simply put my pencil sharpener on it but its still a bit fiddley.
3. Nothing stays tightened- not even the bolt underneath. It usually needs tightened at least once per few hours of use with moving it around.
and lastly, the head fell off and I simply cannot figure out how to get it back on properly. I can put it back into the little carriage and tighten it down but the little screw won't let it go in far and as I tighten it comes up and out. Hoping to find a video explaining how to remedy this, or someone else might have had this issue and can advice me..
Other than those things, for me, I absolutely love this little guy. Its been very helpful and aside from the light itself popping out, the other things are all inconveniences at most.. No regrets.
