As you can see from my picture. This thing is well well used. And that is a compliment.
First off was talk about value for the money. This thing is a complete and utter amazing value for what it is I would say first and foremost if you’re looking for a cassette player/radio/recorder this is definitely the one to buy.
So this thing is pretty easy to use I mean at least for a Gen X or millennial who has seen one before and that’s pretty cool.
Quality is not the build of the 1980s or even the 1990s, but it’s pretty much on par with electronics today. I can’t see this thing breaking anytime soon but a good drop on the ground would probably break it. Durable yes extreme durability no.
When it comes to sound quality, I would say that overall I’m pretty happy with it. It is not perfect. There are some things where it sounds a bit tiny at times or it doesn’t exactly do exactly the kind of things your phone can do however, it’s a cassette player that you can carry with you and listen to cassette tapes and an AM/FM radio overall, I’m pretty happy with it. So quality is good.
I like that it takes batteries and I like that. It has a normal headphone jack not just a Bluetooth connection overall I think it’s a great purchase. If it was a little bit more durable, I would give it five stars.

Great nostalgia
Battery Life: The KLIM K8 offers solid battery performance, lasting through multiple listening sessions without draining too quickly. It’s not the longest-lasting cassette player I’ve tried, but it’s reliable enough for everyday use.
Sound Quality: Through the built-in speaker, the sound is clear but modest. With the included F1 headphones, playback is much better, providing a richer, more balanced tone.
Functionality: The player covers all the essentials—cassette playback, AM/FM radio, and a built-in microphone for recording. The controls are intuitive and straightforward, making it easy to use right out of the box.
Quality: The build feels sturdy and well-designed. The cassette mechanism runs smoothly, avoiding the common issues of tape jamming or warping that some cheaper devices have.
Value for Money: For the price, this unit delivers a lot: playback, recording, radio, and included headphones. It’s an affordable and practical way to enjoy tapes again without breaking the bank.
Noise Level: The player runs quietly, though you may notice a slight mechanical hum when using the built-in speaker. Through headphones, this isn’t noticeable at all.

Feature-rich Cassette Player/Recorder
This cassette player took me back to the walkman I had in the 80's, only its better! So many functions...First of all, it comes with a plug so if you want to listen without running out of battery, so you have that option. BUT, it also comes with batteries if you want to take it on the road. It has an AM/FM radio with an antenna. Additionally, there are ear buds included, it's not the highest quality sound (no stereo), but it does the trick. You can also record.
This thing has everything you'd want in a cassette player from a feature standpoint at this price point. It is a good value for the money and seems like it will last for a while, durable. I use is quite often and is holding up well so far.

The am/fm radio is pretty rough
If you are looking for a handheld radio to play old cassette tapes on, this is a pretty good bet. As far as the tape player goes, I've not found any issues to speak of. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased at the quality of the ear buds that come with this radio. They are not the round hard ones that you might expect. They have the gel like comfort pieces on them, and they are magnetic. Each ear buds magnetizes to the other, helping to keep them neat and organized. A nice touch, which I appreciated. They are comfortable ear buds, unlike what I was expecting. This radio also, unlike others I have tried, does come with AA batteries. They are the rechargeable type, as far as I can tell, so you are good to go with this one. You have the USB cord, and the rechargeable batteries, making it even more worth the buy. Volume on this one is pretty good, sound quality is pretty on par with the older tape players. As far as that fm radio though, it's not much. It's really hard to get any stations to come in good. What I had to do, in order to get a station to connect well, was extend the antenna completely. And then make sure I was holding or touching the antenna. If I moved it away from my skin, it was nothing but static. Which was a real pain, honestly. So it you want something like this for its radio, look elsewhere. For the tape player, I would recommend it.
The build and materials are better than competitor's I have tried, so that is another plus. Still, it is pretty light weight, and made if plastic. For the price though, I didn't expect much more than that. It's overall one of the better options when it comes to a cassette player.

its like the 80's all over again!
This was a nostalgia purchase for sure! The sound quality is to be expected with a compact player like this. It's ok, but that's why i wanted this. I love my apple music and air pods, and the age of bluetooth and digital. But the old AM/FM and cassette deck reminds me of my youth, and sometimes thats far better!
I have a walkman that i can record songs from the radio on. I cant wait to make a mix tape. That's cool to me, so I love it!
Controls are easy to use, opening the tape door is a little tricky, the depression is pretty small to get a finger/nail in there. The corded earbuds are magnetic which is nice. Overall, happy with this throwback piece of tech!

Cassette player + mic + AM/FM feature = WIN!!!!
Great cassette player. As expected, the sound isn’t the greatest, but it’s not a high-end player. Otherwise, the features are everything I’d want.
Pros:
• Easy to use. If you’ve ever owned a Walkman before, all the buttons like you remembered. Play, fwd, rewind, stop, record buttons work well.
• It comes with two AA batteries so it can be tested/used right away!
• I can easily plug it into my home sound system without without batteries is an awesome feature. The AC plug is a nice touch.
• I can’t wait to bring it to baseball games! I like listening to sports radio broadcasts so this makes it a great option. (There are apps on the phone, but whenever it gets disconnected, they run a bunch of ads after I reconnect; it can get annoying, especially when it’s a key moment in the game.) This feature also makes it useful for camping trips and emergency situations, as well.
• While I doubt that most people will utilize the mic feature, I’m so glad they added it. For journalists/artists/creatives, we can get a fun, analog recording! Analog recordings have a special, warm feel. (I wish there was an internal mic, but you have to plug one in; at least there are a wide range of plug-in mic options.)
Cons:
• More of a wish, but this would’ve been so much cooler if it could ALSO be recharged and run for a good 5 hours or so (in addition to the AA battery and running on AC power options.)
• MY MAIN GRIIPE; The AC power cable has the common, testable USB-A on one end and then an uncommon circlular plug. If it’s lost, it won’t be easily replaceable. They should’ve made it a USB-C instead; much more common and easy to switch out/replace.
Overall, it hits all the marks I want in a Walkman. The pros heavily outweigh the small cons. Some companies make theirs without this feature, and charge less, but for me, I think the radio makes it more useable, in more situations!

Bring back the 80s and early 90s with this quality tape player/radio (but not USB compatible)
Get out that old box of cassette tapes and re-live the 80s and early 90s!
All of our old stereos eat our tapes. So when i saw this product, I jumped at the chance to order it.
This portable tape player/radio does not have all the fun features I once had (like auto FF to skip to the next song, or automatic bidirectional play so we didn't have to flip the tape), it does play tapes, AM radio, and FM radio.
And it doesn't eat our tapes.
I was looking forward to the USB-C connection to easily record music from tapes to my compute but... I'm not sure why they advertise a USB-C cable. IT DOES NOT COME WITH USB-C and IT HAS NO USB-C OPTION. There's no easy way to record from the device to your computer. If you want to, go buy a 3.5mm to USB cable and have at it, the way you could any device with a headset connection. That was disappointing.
✅The good:
- Packaging: Great packaging. The product is sealed and secured. Open the package and see the user manual, a "Thank you" envelope with the fun message: "If you are in a hurry you can stop reading here, otherwise keep going, this document is of absolutely no practical use, but we hope you will find it entertaining..." 🤣
- Contents: Tape player, USB power cable, 2 AA batteries, decent in-ear headphones.
- Functionality: Speaker volume is good for a device so small, it plays tapes, and both AM radio and FM radio were easy to find stations. It's pull out antenna is a nice feature for the radio. I haven't tested recording (not why I bought this) but the user manual details how you can record to tape from the built in microphone, a plug in 3.5mm microphone (not included), or even record to tape from AM or FM radio.
⚠️The bad:
- Contents: Does NOT include a USB-C cable, and if it did, it would be useless. The product photos show one, but this device is not USB compatible. There's no wall adapter, but there's a USB power adapter.
- Functionality: Doesn't have all the nice features fancy tape players used to have like continuous play (to continue side B after side A completed) or auto FF to the next song.
- This isn't a Walkman - there's no built in way to strap this onto your belt or clip it onto a carabiner.
ℹ️ The bottom line:
Yes, I recommend this as a fully functional basic tape player. Radio and recording are nice bonuses. This will be a nice gift for yourself or a friend or family member who still has a cassette tape collection.

Works, But Sound Quality is Very Mediocre
This cassette player works fine, and both the radio and tape functions work well. The downsides to this unit are that the max volume isn't very loud whether you're using the internal speaker or earbuds.
The biggest "miss" though, in my opinion, is the omission of a tone control. At this price I'm not expecting an EQ, or even separate bass and trebel controls, but a simple tone control would make a world of difference. That, and the volume.
As I said, it does work, so if you only want the most basic features, it's okay, but I'd look at another model, even if it cost a few dollars more.

This is a decent quality AM/FM Cassette player
This is a nice Cassette player for the money. The built in speaker has little bass but the headphones sound decent. The radio played well and tunes with a dial. The only downfall was there was no power block included just a USB charging cable. These are perfect for playing those old retro cassettes that you can pick up at the thrift store really cheap. This device comes with 2 AAA batteries. It isn't rechargeable. It's real basic. The product description basically describes this unit accurately. The quality is a little better than I expected.

How fun is this! My mixed tapes are alive again! 🥹
Wow! What can I say? This is a blast from the past having this item. As many of you most likely do, I still have old cassette tapes in a box. Why do I keep them? Memories. Many mixed tapes, recordings of friends that are no longer here, and don’t forget recordings of songs you waited all day on the radio to hear so you could *tape it*.
Anyhoo, enough of that, let’s talk shop. The cassette player itself is decent. It plays the tapes just fine. The sound quality is better with the earbuds compared to the speaker, but both are mediocre compared to the devices we use today (but I didn’t expect it to be comparable). All the functions work well—fast forward, rewind, etc. Manual eject. Rewinding can be a bit slow but not enough to bother me much. Many may find it frustrating being used to the immediate response of today’s devices. As you can remember, the batteries will drain, but you have an ac adapter. Love having the am/fm radio on this. A great grab for power outages and wanting to save phone battery.
All-in-all, this is a solid 4 star device and I’d recommend to anyone who wants to bring those cassette tapes back to life. For the price, the memories and nostalgia of it all is so worth it. A good deal.

One of the best on the market right now.
Back in the day we pretty much referred to ANY portable casette player as a "walkman" even though it was a trademarked brand name owned by Sony. My daily driver was a GE brand that had no radio or rewind button. If I wanted to hear a song over again, I had to flip the tape, fast forward, then flip it back over and hope I went far enough. This Klim is a very nice example of a "walkman." I've owned headphones and gaming headsets from this brand in the past. So far, everything I have used by them has been high quality at a low price. Very good bang for your buck. Overall build quality is much better than I expected, especially at this price point. Loaded with features like AM/FM radio (with telescoping antenna), integrated speaker, and a rewind button. This thing will even record tapes (something you could never do in the past with a portable unit like this). It feels heavy in the hand (in a good way) and it's curved shape makes it pretty ergonomic. Back when I played sports in high school, we all ran our laps with our walkmen in our hands. It was like hanging onto a brick. Nobody ever used the belt clip. This Klim model isn't like that at all. It fits in my hand very nice. I would much rather have this curved design over a brick with a belt clip. What I like best about this tape player is the fidelity. I still have an extensive collection of pre-recorded casettes, as well as several home made ones. As long as you took care of your casette collection, it will still sound great. Don't expect that milk crate of mix tapes that's been in your attic for the last 30+ years to sound the way you remember. In the recent past, I've purchased a few new manufacture "boom boxes" with tape players. They always disappoint me because the tape deck never plays at the correct speed. This one does. I've really been enjoying listening to my old tapes. The package even included a pair of alkaline batteries. Nice touch! The wired earbuds sound surprisingly good. Nice and clear. I personally can't stand "in ear" headphones and opted for an over the ear set that I already had. That being said, If you don't mind things in your ears, you're gonna like the included ones. The ends have magnets in them so they stick together when not in use. This makes it easy to wind up the cord and store them without getting the wires tangled up. The controls are well thought out and easy to memorize so you can rewind, ff, and adjust volume without looking. I really appreciate the placement of the volume dial. It's easily within thumb reach and simple to adjust while holding onto the unit. The absence of bluetooth doesn't bother me one bit. I feel it would detract from the authenticity. The main negative I will mention is the fact that the playback head is mono, rather than stereo. If this was to keep costs down, I could have done without the radio or record function. I probably won't be using either of these features. I really don't like the placement of the speaker either. Some people may enjoy using this as a sort of "transistor radio" to listen to ball games or whatever. I just don't think it was a good idea to place a speaker along side of a cassette tape. The back side of a speaker is a magnet. Magnets erase tapes. Even though the magnet is small, in this case, it still has potential to affect the recordings on your casettes. That being said, I'm choosing not to leave tapes in my new walkman as a preventative measure. I may just remove the speaker altogether, I don't plan on using it anyway. All of that being said, I'm still rating this a solid 4 stars. The build quality is excellent, albeit with some questionable design choices.
