Great home theater bundle with dolby atmos support. See video for my review.

Klipsch quality at an affordable price point for a DIY home theater. My space is around 18 x 12 wide at the top of my staircase open to the first floor. I have an older Onkyo receiver, 7.2 support and wanted to get the best overall sound quality worrying about it just cascading down the stairs or sounding muffled. The package is 4 surrounds, a center and 10" sub. The surrounds feature top firing dolby atmos. My amp supports enough channels to get the atmos on the front surrounds and standard on the rears, but i have the rears around chair height and the sound is amazing, not harsh but very rich and easily fills the room. I would highly recommend the vendor and the Klipsch bundle. My only nit is the surrounds are somewhat oblong and i couldn't find a speaker stand that i liked to really lock onto them for stability. The 10" sub is more than enough and the sound is even thru out the room Easy setup and great value IMO. Highly recommend.

Great upgrade for my theater room

A huge upgrade from my Polk Audio TL1 speaker system. The sound quality is like having my own cinema in my house.

Best sounding speakers under $2000

Excellent sound, upward firing speakers work well. Great build. Would like for them to come with better speaker wire but i went out and bought my own.

Still Need Surround Speakers for 9.x.4

Great sounding speakers. I now know why they are on clearance. Before randomly purchasing, for complete emergence in sound you need to add L/R surrounds. That is to do a full 9.1.4 Atmos. Which also requires a big 13ch amp. Plan your layout if you want the best out of these, the Denon AVR-X3800H makes a great receiver pair to fill a larger 10 X 15 room.

Klipsch knows speakers!

This is the only brand I buy. It's made in America and that means a lot to me. Quality is important! They sound great, set up was easy and they are much bigger than I expected. My only con is the speaker connects at the bottom of the speaker can be annoying, but I figured it out.

I Love These Speakers

The Klipsch 5.1.4 Dolby ATMOS speakers and Pioneer VSX-534 receiver perfectly harness the abundance of powerful Dolby platforms that are embedded into my new TCL 85-inch S-Class TV that I purchased at Best Buy. I paid $345 for the speakers, $330 for the receiver, and $899 for the TV. $1,574 total and it is phenomenal!

Pay no attention to the reviewers who don’t get enough bass from the Subwoofer. They clearly don’t have the gain knob on the back of the subwoofer adjusted for the needs. It literally shakes our viewing room (and scares the crap out of our little dachshund!). Also, although I am a fan of Yamaha, I did not get their receiver because Dolby ATMOS is not built into their technology.

Installation was a breeze. At first, I followed Dolby’s guidelines of placing the front and rear speakers around 40-inches off the floor, but later moved the rear speakers to a higher position on the rear wall. The center speaker is below the TV on top of the receiver, and the subwoofer is on the floor off to the left of the TV platform . The receiver comes with a microphone to automatically set up the sound levels for surround sound. I used this feature at first, but then I figured out how to adjust each speaker level independently to fine-tune the equal distribution of audio.

I have included pictures of the front and back of the room, and also a glimpse behind the TV (which is sitting on top of a 3-foot high IKEA shelf unit). We live in earthquake country, so I sunk a heavy-duty eyehook into a stud behind the TV and then attached two M8 stainless steel eyehooks into two of the VESA bracket holes on the back of the set and lashed it all together with stainless steel cable that I had leftover from a deck-build.

5.1.4 Reference cinema

I was very skeptical about buying this system knowing it was only 380 bucks especially for a klipsch brand. But I was done with soundbars and had a 7.2 aventage receiver so I went head and took my chances. Based on the reviews of the subwoofer , I knew it would be a problem but for 380 i wouldn’t be losing on much because If anything I can just buy another subwoofer. The satellite speakers are amazing, I have no issues with them at all but the only issue is the subwoofer. It’s not as loud as I expected it to be and it does pop a lot at loud volumes. The sub shines with gaming and movies but with music I’d give it a 6/10. It just doesn’t have the thump that I know klipsch tends to have to but it was expected for the price. Overall I am satisfied and it sounds better then a soundbar and i tend to buy another klipsch sub.

Unbelieveable Sound!

I have owned this system for 4 months. This is my first surround sound system ever and man am I glad I resesearched this for 2 years first. This speaker set wasn't even in production when I started looking.

I have a small living room area about 12' x 10'. I did not need towers. This kit comes with 4 sattelite speakers, 1 center and 1 powered subwoofer. NO these speakers are not "cheap". NO they are not budget speakers. They did not come from Walmart.

I expect quality due to the Klipsch name and that is exactly what you get. These are the nicest plastic housing speakers I've ever seen in my life. There is not one knic or sharp edge on any of the platic housing and everything is built well and solid. The speakers themselves are heavier and larger than they look. The sattelite speakers are about twice the size I expected them to be.

The 10" subwoofer is what really makes this system come alive. I like to feel the bass more than hear it so I turned my crossover down to about 65hz. Man.. it punches hard - Shakes my entire couch.

I recommend taking the time to learn the basics of home theater setup and crossover and how distances affect listening quality. Set this system up right, and you will have a system that just makes you smile and come back for more.

The Best sounding movies on this system so far:

Man of Steel (omg)

Thor (some addtl tweaking neccesary)

Marvel's Avengers

Ready Player One

So after a while I think the sub sounds better now than it did when it was new.

The sound is the best when you watch movies that have either newer Dolby Atmos or DTS.

More movies that sound awesome:

Kong Skull Island

Spectre

John Wick 4

Lone Survivor

Amazing sound in a smaller package. Get some of these to help connecting the wires

I moved into a smaller space and my 11 Infinity speakers just wouldn't fit. After looking at various soundbars and speaker combos I decided to try the Klipsch. I've always liked the sound and Adorama's price was unbeatable. They arrived on time (in a very heavy box) and were pretty easy to set up. The wire they sent were very small gauge and nowhere near long enough for the rears so I opted for regular 16 gauge all the way around. The connectors on the speakers are a bit wonky to use. I was continually having difficulty making a good connection. I eventually stumbled on these 2mm connectors and problem solved. It's still pretty tight, so get the longest ones you can find . Now they click in and the connection is right. I hit the power switch and was pleasantly amazed. The highs were crisp not shrill, the dialogue crystal clear, and the subwoofer subtle and strong without being boomy. The Atmos certainly filled the room without having to crank the volume. I later added another R-100SW Subwoofer to balance out the room.At this price and the reliable Klipsch build I'm as satisfied as I can be. After having these for a few months now I love them even more.

Great deal for an entry level Atmos setup

Sounds and looks great. Unbelievable value for the price.

Rain Check!

Dolby Atmos for starters

This thing packs a punch. And the speaker are darn bigger than expected. Well worth the purchase, 9ch receivers are out of the budget so end up with 7ch. It does bounce sound to ceiling and thats what atmos experience should be. I may try adding height speakers once 9ch receiver price goes down.

Great introductory Atmos set

Overall sounds great. The only negative with these I would say would be the underpowered upwards firing Atmos speakers. The effect can be heard, but is kind of subtle. Still I am very happy with my purchase.

Dolby atmos speaker review 5.1.4

Dolby atmos version review

FANTASTIC VALUE!

These speakers are larger than the 5.1 surround package, a note-able upgrade being the subwoofer 8 vs 10 inches.

The uprising speakers are not very effective but way more effective than sound bar up-firing speakers, I wouldn’t get a 9 channel amplifier for these.

For $850 you can get these with a Sony dh790.

This package comes with speaker wire. Only thing you will need is places to put the speakers.

These speakers are phenomenally easy to drive and get loud! Very immersive, sound stage is lacking but at this price point they are phenomenal!

I tried several high end sound bars before landing on this, and I am not disappointed in the slightest. It made me want to get surround setups in ever single room where I watch movies or play games.

10/10 recommend.

Cheap if paired with Sony dh 590 or dh 790. Get a better reciever if you intend on using this as an entry level speaker system. Careful not to overdrive the upward firing speakers to make them effective - they only handle 40w peak, several users on Klipsch website report they have blown theirs.

Great quality and sound

Excellent quality and sound, well above the price! Used with Denon receiver and it creates excellent and accurate surround Atmos sound field!

I have installed multiple home theaters and I personally have more expensive system. But this one really impressed me very well. For best results, pair with 5.1.4 receiver that provides Atmos connection to all 4 Atmos speakers. For ex: Denon AVR-X3800H

Simply Amazing

I had a basic Yamaha surround speaker package but recently upgraded my receiver for 4K and all the new sound decoders. But kept the old speakers. Finally decided to get the Atmos capability and Klipsch does not disappoint.

The speakers are much bigger than the last ones to make room for the upward facing Atmos speakers. And I had to run 4 more wires to drive those so it was almost like setting up a new system. But, it was well worth it.

Now I have theater sound in my living room and I’ve never been happier.

AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied 5.1 Listening And Viewing Bliss

REVIEWING Klipsch Reference Cinema Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 System

I bought this and a DENON AVR-S760H 7.2.2 Channel Reciever at Costco on February 27 2022 - Instant Gradification . I'm Running It As A 5.1 Setup And IT SOUNDS LIKE AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied .

For Picture Im USING A BenQ ht2550 4K UHD Projector with all hdmi plugged Into the receiver 4K Inputs and everything now looks even better than it did before . THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied.

I will be adding a 2nd subwoofer VERY SOON making if a 5.2 Surround System . When I'm able to get a 9 channel receiver I will run it as a 5.2.4 System Utilizing the 2 front height speakers and 2 rear height speakers .

As it is right now as a 5.1 Setup I have zero complaints about the wonderful sound of these speakers or the impactful bass of the subwoofer .

Even my STEREO Movies Sound Amazing Especially When I Choose ALL CHANNEL STEREO on my Denon 7.2.2 Receiver .

This Is My 1st Ever Klipsh Purchase But It Will Not Be My Last .

Movie Watching At My House Is Once Again 100% Enjoyable With Big Sound To Go With The Big 4K Picture Of My Projector .
