A little noisy. It has some cool sounds.

This pedal is actually pretty decent in its own way, but I can't really use it for studio work at all. It turns out that this pedal is actually pretty noisy when you're using it, but this is fine for a live setting with a noise gate in front and behind the amplifier or with a four cable method noise gate.

The pedal however is not really usable for my studio work, which is 99.9% of what I do, so I won't really find much of a use for it other than just messing around.

I find that it does produce some cool sounds that I really like it's kind of has some sludgy sounds in it it has some fuzz tones, and it has a mid cut switch on it. It really does have some good options and things that you could use live and be really happy with.

With that said I'm going to have to give this a three star rating for my use if you were using it just as a distortion pedal. I think it would work fine as just adding a little bit of gain to the front of an amplifier to get you a little extra gain cuz you could keep it a little bit lower and not get all the noise that it gets.

If, however, you are running it in the loop of an amplifier it's just not going to be doing exactly what you want.

Pedal works well and feels well made. Recommend.

I’m happy that I was given the chance to try the Gnash Dual-Channel Analog Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal. Even though I’m still fairly new to electric stringed instruments, setting this up with both my electric ukulele and my Telecaster guitar was straightforward. The pedal adds a more aggressive tone than I’m accustomed to with my usual acoustic uke and guitar, but I really enjoy it.

The build quality of this pedal is high, and it works well. I feel that I’m maybe a bit too new to realize its full capabilities, but I will enjoy growing as a player and learning to use it. The value seems to be fair when compared to other pedals of similar build and quality.

This distortion pedal works well for me. I recommend it.

My new "go to" dirt pedal

I'm a pedal addict. I love getting new pedals and discovering new sounds. It's been a while since I've found a distortion pedal that stands out and has unique character, but it also useable (the last being a Z.Vex Fuzz Factory). The Gnash pedal is not just unique, but fun to play with as well. It have a wide range of sounds and is very versatile and easy to fine tune. I love the selectable dual stages that can be run in series or parallel. My only wish is that you could use the 2nd stage without the first, or be able to switch the order of the stages.

It has a solid case and a smaller footprint but decent weight to hold it in place, unlike some of those miniature pedals out there. It is a great price for an analog distortion pedal. I attached a picture of my favorite setting for reference. I highly recommend this pedal.

Very nice distortion pedal. Takes a minute to learn.

I love this distortion pedal. For one, it just plain looks cool. It's well constructed and sounds really nice. It takes a bit of getting used to the controls as it has a lot of them. It has 3 switches for control of the output wave form. Across the top you have a Distortion control, a Treble control, and Master. Below that, you'll find the gain and tone controls. Like I said, it takes a bit to figure it all out and there's really no instructions that would help. You can find a bit of info online about this Klowra pedal. It's a nice, heavy feeling pedal, not cheap at all. It's very functional and a great value.

Amazing flexibility- don't let it scare you! Great pedal.

This is a highly configurable, dual channel distortion pedal. You may change the order of the two distortion cicuits to run in parallel or in sequence. The pedal accepts an external TRS switch, that allows you to control the second distortion channel configuration without having to reach down.

The pedal comes with three pieces of extra art- one sticker and two plastic shields with art printed on them.

The pedal has rubber feet and I have resorted to gluing pedal board fastening tape to the bottom.

This pedal will need a 9V pedal board power supply. It has no provisions for batteries.

The knobs are plastic and light weight, but they seem sturdy enough.

Lights and indicators are easily seen, even in sunlight.

This is not your average distortion pedal. If you are into exploring the sonic landscape, you can get screeches, or synth like sounds out of this pedal, as well as metal sounds or just a soft fuzz. That's the point of the design. To be clear, I won't use about 90% of what this pedal is capable of - but endless possibilities are there for me to explore if I want.

Please, don't worry about the tones you won't use. I usually use just three distortion tones for performance - a soft fuzz, A growling distortion that swells a bit, and a gain.lead distortion with treble boost. This pedal delivers all three tones. But it also let's me play with synth like tones that pair nicely with the shimmer effect on my reverb pedal. Will I use that every day? Probably not, but if I'm doing a recording project, maybe!

That's the magic of the Klowra Gnash. It's a workaday distoriton pedal, and a sonic playground.

Spend some time learning the pedal. You will not regret it.

Another Great Klowra Pedal!!

I have a lot of Klowra pedals, and I love them all. However, they are all modulation, pitch shifting or time based pedals. I was wondering if they would come out with a distortion/overdrive pedal, and here we are!!

Where to start.. This pedal, like all other Klowra pedals is awesome. It can do overdrive, distortion and fuzz. I am playing it into a JCM900 amp, a little overdriven already, and this pedal pushes it into sweet smooth tube amp saturation.

It is actually 2 pedals in 1. The top row is the controls for the "distortion" channel, and the bottom row is more of an "overdrive" channel.

The first little switch lets you choose if you want to stack the channels into each other (series), or run them side by side (parallel). The second little switch is a mid-cut, which I really like, and the third switch - well that's the Klowra "wavefolder" switch which has a mind of its own... Definitely fun to mess around with the wavefoldfer.

You push the center white button to activate both channels, and then dial in each channel to taste. For my purposes, I like to use it as an overdrive, and it just sounds so sweet...

It's a low noise pedal, so there isn't a ton of hiss, unless you really crank everything. But that's the same with any distortion pedal. The tone control knobs are very responsive, and other knobs pretty straight forward as to what they do.

The design is really cool, I love the way all of their pedals look, and its built like a little tank. Stomp away, you won't hurt it.

I normally use a Klon type pedal as an overdrive, which adds a little color to your tone, but this Klowra pedal is pretty transparent. Don't get me wrong, you can color your tone all you want with it, but if you leave all the tone controls at noon, its pretty clean...

You can run this pedal into a crystal clean amp and get some great distortion, or you can run it into the front of an amp on the edge of break up, and get some silky smooth overdrive..

Or turn all the knobs up and get an out of control fuzz tone... Whatever you want, this pedal can do it.

So many features for such a fair price.. Like all Klowra pedals, you need to spend some time with it it to figure it out, but to me, that's half the fun. Oh yeah, and it's true bypass - if that's important to you - doesn't matter to me...

Give it try, you won't regret it.
