Open the Package From the Back and Tips Are Supposed To Be Loose
I know I'm comparing apples to oranges but I guess I'm too used to my old Stanley Powerlock II 33-312 with its 3/4" blade. This 12' Komelon is comfortable in the hand but despite being slightly larger than the 12' Stanley which is also plastic (with a chrome coating) feels less substantial. The blade flails much more while retracting, especially the last foot or so, probably due its smaller width. Also, its case doesn't add a nice, even 2" to inside measurements like the Stanley.
People complaining about the end being loose: Tape measures are designed that way for a reason.
The package is not that difficult to open. You push in and pull the paper backing to expose the clip and pull it over the bump in the plastic just like you were pulling it off your pocket or belt - no sharp tools needed.
The yellow case would be easy to spot among other tools and having both metric and imperial is the reason I wanted another tape.

Handy Little Tape With a Smooth Design
I bought this little guy to keep nearby, and it’s been a great everyday tool. The smooth design feels good in the hand, and having both metric and SAE makes it really versatile. The only thing I’d change is adding rubber bumpers on the edges for a bit more protection. Still a solid, handy tape measure.

Accurate to within 1mm at full length, cheap, and compact!
I've always wondered about the real accuracy of inexpensive tape measures like this. I happen to have access at work to a Starrett tape (model no. 530-30cm) calibrated by Starrett. It's about an $105 tape, no idea what calibration costs. I ran it out to 3.5m and compared it to this little tape and you can see how closely they match. It's certainly good enough for my own use around the house! The size is great to carry and the build quality seems to be acceptable for something this price. I am not a professional contractor, in which case I would probably prefer something with a steel housing, I just like building things at home and doing projects around my house.

Garbage
“I bought this measuring tape expecting it to last, but it broke after just two weeks of very light use. The build quality is disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something durable.”

Worst tape measure I have ever bought
The first time I retracted this tape measure the end broke off. The rest of the tape rolled up inside rendering it useless. I returned it.

Broke after 2 months
Poor quality. The last inch of the tape measure snapped off after only two months of light use. DO NOT BUY.

12-Foot Tape Measure: Handy, Lightweight but sometimes it does not maintain a steady measurement.
I recently got my hands on a 12-foot tape measure, and overall, it's been quite convenient and practical. Its lightweight design makes it easy to handle, and I've used it for all sorts of tasks around the house.
However, I can't give it a perfect score mainly due to a little issue with the measuring lock. Even though I can lock in the measurement with the button, I've noticed it's a bit finicky. Sometimes it decides to close on its own, making it tricky to maintain a steady measurement, especially when I'm in the middle of a task. Just a small hiccup that could use improvement!
Despite that, the tape measure does its main job of giving us measurements, and that's what matters. The construction seems sturdy, and so far, it's been a great help in my DIY projects. All in all, while it has that little quirk with the lock, it remains a handy tool for everyday DIY tasks.

It is exactly what it is
Great scale and fine with its purpose. It has also metric system which is great for people like me who is adapted to metric system. The covering is plastic but not a big problem. For its price, it is great and recommended.

Perfect 🙏
This is probably the first tape measure I've bought and not had handed down to me from family members, and I love it!
I specifically wanted a tape with both Imperial and metric markings, and they're hard to find.
The matte surface of the tape is easy to read, and the spring action is very smooth.
The tape is lightweight, sturdy, and simple, with no sharp edges or fake chrome.

Sleek tape measure
If you don’t like a bulky tape measure this is for you. plastic seams thick and durable. Mechanical function is smooth and works well. Lock holds ok, you can still push the tape in when it’s fully locked. Cannot beat it for the price and it has metric. I like it, if it holds up it will be a great tool.

Disappointed.
After less than 2 months. The latch that is supposed to hold the tape measure still doesn't work anymore. Pull it out, and it slowly slides back in (see the video).
Very disappointing, because it's a great tape measure for the price otherwise.
Great look. great price. great size. Just a pity about the poor quality control :\

Best way to learn metric length
This is a great tape measure in general, sturdy easy to read and compact.
But its best feature is that it is marked in both Inches (1/16" resolution) and Metric. So I'm finding it's the best way to start becoming more conversant in metric equivalents of the more familiar inch measurements.
But I had no intuitive feel for 70 mm. Sounds huge, but I know a mm is pretty small. So actually how big is a lot of a small thing... I dunno... let me get a calculator 'cause the one thing I do know is there are 2.54 cm in an inch. Ok so punch in 70, divide by 10, divide by 2.54 and get 2.75 inches. I can calculate it but I have no feel for it, yet.
But with this wonderful tape measure I just pull it out to around 70 mm and immediately see ah ok that's a bit less than 3 inches. It's a perfect representation of not only the numeric conversion but also a compelling visual that I can relate to much better. And thus will remember.
I love this tape measure, and will order another for my workshop.

Not Metric - Misleading
Bought this as it Metric and appeared in search results for 'tape measure centimeters'. Its only in inches - misleading to say the least. Plus the packaging requires a knife and patience to open.

Good quality tape with metric system
I was looking for a measuring tape that had both inches/ft and cm scale. This was one of the very few tapes that I found had both.
Also, I wanted the scale to be continuous. Some of the tapes had measurement reset every 10 cm. This tape continues the count to 11, 12 and so on and does not reset to 1 after every 10th marking (see picture).
Overall I am happy with the quality of the tape.
It is a yellow colored tape v

The name "power tape" is well deserved!
Great little measuring tape. I bought this tape after I lost the earlier one while moving apartments. It is made of solid durable plastic and will not break easily. The tape retracts into the body once you release it after measuring. The little black slider you see in the product image holds the tape in place and prevents retracting in case you want to keep working with the tape continuously. Recommend buying it.

Great Quality & Nice Color
This is an affordable retractable tape measure that works well. The bright yellow color is optimal because it makes it harder to misplace at a job site. It includes a nice belt clip and the retractable tape action feels very smooth! Also, a small thumb press will hold the tape in place. A harder thumb press will completely lock the tape until the user wishes to unlock it to allow the tape to retract. The size is minimal as well. I have larger hands and it fits comfortably in the the palms of my hands.

WORST packaging EVER
I have never in my life seen worse packaging. I spent 10+ minutes with scissors and I STILL have not removed the plastic from around the clip. I do have dozens of little bits of plastic AND some tiny little scratches on my hands (no cuts, thankfully, but it was a definite possibility).
I don't normally review products badly for their packaging, but this one warrants it. It's just ridiculous.

Great value!
This tape works smooth and is easy to read. The case is strong enough for repeated drops, the belt loop is strong, and the lock work well. It's a great value, I ordered two more.
