PC Mover Calms The Nerves!

I purchased this product for the 2nd time. I needed to move all my data from my laptop to my new desktop. I'm always nervous about this... PC Mover software was very easy to use and the transfer of data was very fast. I purchased the high speed cable which made a big difference! Thank you PC Mover!

Yes it works and is worth it, both $$$ and time.

I have needed to move all my programs and files from Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit to Win 10 Pro 64 bit for almost 2 years. Lots of fear and hesitation. They guys at Sysnative told me to use PCMover and they were spot on. No, it does not do it all, yes it takes time (and you really do need the high speed cable for transfer if you have lots of data), yes it takes days to reset the settings the way you may like BUT YOU CAN DO IT. I can run some of my important 32 bit applications on Win 10 that I would not have been able to even load with this program. I am astounded actually at what it does. The transfer of 2 terabytes of programs and data took under 4 hours using the special high speed cable. It has taken me another week getting Win 10 the way I like it BUT I COULD DO IT. To me the program is priceless. My old system with all the bells and whistles but faster and cleaner. I have years of client data and communications tools that I could not have moved to Win 10 without this program. Win 10 would not have let me install them but PC Mover did it for me. Do not buy if you expect it to do it all for you. If you have some knowledge of Windows systems and are patient you can keep things the way you like them. The picture shows Win 7 on your right and Win 10 on your left. Be patient. Follow instructions and it will work for you too. PS I am a 78 year old grandma who has working with clients online since the 80s.

Don't get impatient

This work great transferring my (8 yr) old laptop to my new one.

Easy to run just let it do what it needs to do leave it be till everything is moved.

It works, but need to be careful using it

Will transfer most files from one computer to another but a few programs will need to be reinstalled. One thing to be careful with is DO NOT transfer the user profile, you'll wind up with a disaster. I had a question while using it and contacted customer support, allowed them to control my computer remotely, when he started the transfer with the user profile, wound up having to redo it. If possible transfer it to a flash drive or better yet transfer it using a USB cable or do it using your wireless connection.

Don't bother with the included USB cable if you purchase that option, it's too short to use unless both computers are sitting next to each other.

Great customer service!

I was a little intimidated at first because I am not a computer guy. As a senior citizen trying to figure out how to transfer one computer information to another is not something I looked forward too but with this software and the great customer service it was seamless! I know you eggheads think it is cheap to do it another way but my time is more important! Thanks for a great product but most of all for the customer service experience!

East to use and speedy transfer of date

I greatly appreciated the speed of data transfer this product provided. It seamlessly implemented a fast and efficient transfer of data from my client's older laptop to his new one. I will be using this product again and again in my IT business!

Data and programs transfer

I like the complete data transfer and programs feature which allowed my client to use the computer to feel like it was before!

Easy clone! Old…new!

This product was simply amazing! It moved 250 + gigs… programs, data, documents, photos, everything… and it all was there and worked. It was from an eleven year old laptop. Admittedly some programs/apps had problems running on Windows 11… but that had nothing to do with the move.

It did take 14 hours… but was great!

I ordered this mainly as a convenience and because I've used this product in the past and was pleased with the results. There used to be a feature built into windows that helped to tansfer files and setting from an old PC to a new one but for whatever reason that doesn't exist. There are ways to manually transfer things over but it's slow and time consuming and very hands on. it also requires a level of computer knowledge that many don't have. While I don't like having to pay extra to transfer important files and setting I'm busy enough that it's worth the convenience of being able to set it and forget it and trust this program to take care of the rest. That way I can spend my time elsewhere and come back to a finished job. Another nice feature is that this program can identify certain things that might cause problems and tell you how to fix that before it even happens (see the images posted in this review). A word of warningpeople that have been using a computer for some time are used to recieving a CD or DVD with the program they bought on it. Many computers these days don't have drives for reading CD's or DVD's anymore so instead there are instructions with information on how to download the program. please read the instructions in the box carefully to avoid confusion or problems.

Upgrade to a new PC worry free!

I have been hesitant to upgrade to a newer, quicker pc. My game plan due to frugality is to maintain a slight pause with the tech upgrades to tighten the budget. I wanted to upgrade worry free knowing that those precious videos, pictures, and Word docs would be readily available upon start up. The only caution I would offer is make sure you have access to passwords when logging in on the new pc. PC Mover was great, simple, and provided peace of mind.

Apprehensiveness Results in Relief

Mistakenly thinking my Dell Inspiron was "only" 6 years old it turned out it was 10 years old! Wow, I didn't want the purchase of a new desktop to be at the whim of my machine's longevity so I took the plunge and bought a replacement with all/just the features I needed but....

I was left wringing my hands over how to get everything off the old machine to the new one. I believe I saw LapLink advertised as "Often Purchased Together" OR perhaps I just Googled transferring to a new PC. Anyhow... I purchased LapLink and it was delivered prior to my pick-up of my new machine.

I read all of the accompanying materials both hard-copy and on-line... took a big deep breath, set the machines up side-by-side, down-loaded the software, connected using the supplied cable, crossed my fingers and, voila!, 65 minutes later everything was transferred and worked perfectly!

Of course some of my old, legacy Windows applications no longer worked but I was also transitioning to W11 at the same time so I expected that.

Overall, I'd say.... anytime I'm confronted with having to transition my current PC to a new one, I wouldn't think of doing so without LapLink. It was great!

PS - also, I was bound and determined to NOT babysit my old PC and keep around for some purpose; so, I used LapLink's Safe Erase to completely wipe my old machine and ready it for recycling.

My Search is Over!

I have a small charity with a home office. I call it Expedition Outreach. I help wounded warriors overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (PTSD).

Something I suffered with for over a decade. I was a U.S Marine, Desert Storm Era and a state trooper in Massachusetts. I use the healing power of nature with the new and amazing Meditation Technologies.

My computer system, one in my office and a two monitor system on my second floor office needs to communicate with each other daily.

I tried the network thing but I get really slow results.

Then, after an exhausting search, I found Lap Links PC Mover.

Having ADD it was challenging for me to get started despite the fact it's pretty straightforward.

So I called Customer Support and they walked me through the process and were a complete joy to chat with.

I recommend this over the other PC transfer apps and software.

It's easy to use and has a very helpful and friendly customer support.

Useless

When i ordered this it was because the order page indicated it was a CD ROM format, there was no CD in the package. Looked like the security seal was removed and then carfully replaced. Only that it did not line up with the original seal placement and the many air bubbles under the seal. I believe it was a return that was placed in for resale. I only have internet on my phone so i didn't try to check the use code.

Received box with ethernet cable and instruction card only.

Instruction card says to download software from website listed below, no website listed. Also says to use

serial number listed below when installing. No serial shown on the card. The customer service people are insisting on proof of purchase. Nothing but a hassle. They need to provide information required where they

said it would be or provide a disk or memory stick.

This software works great

My wife had a issue with her laptop not charging while turned on. It turned out to be a failed mother board. It was less expensive to get a new computer that fix the laptop. The next step was to get the new computer setup just as it was on the laptop (my wife is not a computer wizard) ...humm

Enter laplink for $35 dollars I took the shot and got PC mover, I installed Laplink PC mover on both the laptop and the new desktop I went thru the steps to do the transfer it was very easy by the way, and working with a laptop that had a limited time of battery.

I bought the transfer cable but found out the laptop didn't have a port for it :( we switch to the WiFi mode and

I was able to transfer everything to the new computer and It was absolutely a perfect clone of the laptop. and with 5 mins to spare on the laptop battery.

I would highly recommend this product. I have used others in the past and while they worked, they did not have the seamless ability to literally move everything the same as PC mover.
