You will need a USB plug not the cord.

So I couldn't wait to try this out. And I have a 8" practice amp I like ok just not great for different effects. Adding this to it made my playing sound really good. And I got to play with the three presets. I haven't tried to plug it into my phone to record yet. I will probably do that later this week but damn!!! This is a good effects peddle guys. And it won't break the bank. Functions well, had cool delay effects and the distortion is wild. Like you could play some dark stuff if you so chose and it's tiny and compact

Amazing guitar pedal for the price.

Honestly one of the best pedals I have. For the cheap price, it's easily the best pedal for when you are on a budget, the distortion is easily the best part of it in my opinion, if you are a beginner guitarist and you don't want to spend Boss money for distortion or multi effects pedals, get this 100%.

Great for the money

Love it it sounds great love that you can use your headphones instead of a amp to it feels heavy it’s all metal instead of plastic

Big tone, tiny box

Plug‑and‑play. Presets sound great out of the box, tuner is accurate, and the effects are musical. The IR loading really lifts the tone—warm, natural, and clear. Great value.

Amazing for price

I don’t leave a lot of reviews.

But I want to say that for less than $40 the value of this pedal is super.

The cabinet modeling and compressor is mostly what you need to get a good tone, but other effects are built-in also.

There are several different programmed in it, and you can even interface via PC.

If you were looking for something that will give you a good tone without breaking the bank this is it.

The frame is also a solid piece of metal and pretty durable. I mean, it even has a built-in tuner.

Craclking noise

This seems great at first but it has this crackling noise sounds like a bad ground or an issue with a potentiometer, save your money

Not That Great

I’ll be honest—I had hopes for this unit. I had watched the reviews on YouTube and decided to give it a try. Many of them mentioned that it had great sound, and even some of the cabs/IR’s (Impulse Response; an emulation of an amp) sounded decent for practice. Upon testing my own, I was less than impressed. It sounds muddy at best. The IR’s that come with it don’t have too much difference to them—it’s hard to tell what amps they’re supposed to sound like. The reverb is pretty decent, as you can change the reverb level from room size to big hall, pretty quickly. Next is the delay and modulation. They’re really not that great. You can change the time of the delay with a knob turn, the mix, and the feedback. I’m just not a fan of the way the delay sounds. After that, is the amp modeling. This one’s okay. You have 9 amps to choose from; three clean ones and 6 overdrive/distortion, going more distorted as you turn the knob clockwise.

Here are my two biggest issues: first, no matter how much you mess with the IR’s, Tone, and Amps, my guitar (an HSS Strat) sounds muddy at best—lots of mid-range. Yes, you can change the tone, but that really doesn’t take the muddiness out. It just isn’t clear.

The second issue I am having is that sometimes, when I change a patch, it doesn’t save, even though it’s supposed to and I am following directions to save it.

It can be used as an interface, but with the sounds on board I really wouldn’t want to record with it, as I’d spend a lot of time cleaning up the signal. It’s pretty nice that you can connect your Bluetooth device to play along to. It also does feel very sturdy and well made, hardware-wise. I’d say it’d be great for a kid just starting on guitar to practice with, especially one who just wants to learn to shred with distortion (where it sounds best). But all in all, I’m probably going to give it away and look for a better unit to practice with.

I wish I could have made a video of the sound, but I don’t have a speaker or amp I could connect it to (all my speakers are Bluetooth only, and this unit only has a Bluetooth receiver).

Why the hiss??

Looks cool, and has a ton of potential... sadly not usable though, due to the loud and relentless hiss when plugged into a PA or speaker system... real shame, I was very excited about this product

My Go-to.

I bought this as a temporary replacement for my Boss Me-8 which suffered moisture damage after almost 25 years in use. (Mü....£kng cat!!). Months have gone by and I've abandoned plans to replace the Boss. This thing is solid. The sound is fantastic! And tuning capabilities, presets, impressive IR cab array... Pretty much everything I need for my style of play. Give it a shot. You'd be surprised how damn good this is... Especially for the price.

A lot of bang for the buck. Awesome little pedal.

It takes a little tinkering to get it going. There's a lot going on with this pedal in such a small package. It might not be so user friendly for a beginner. But man, it sounds really good once you figure it out. I am a metal head and this thing fits my needs perfect. I like the fact that you have the different amp and cab simulators to choose from. In the video I bypassed the Cab Sim just because I already had an IR that liked on my other pedal. Put a tube screamer in front of this thing and man, it will melt your face off. I haven't had a chance to plug into to my computer and explore the software yet, but I will. Once again, this thing sounds great. I plugged directly into my interface and hit record on the camera. What you hear is the raw sound. Great pedal for the price.

Seems to be dead on arrival.

I'm a total newb to guitar, However, I've sung in 3 bands, recorded 10 originals on an old 4 track cassette, and run sound with my 8 channel Peavy mixing board in live shows. In other words, I can hear and and mix decently at the very least.

Recently I decided I wanted to learn to play but knew ahead of time I wanted effects to get certain sounds. I bought a well made import Les Paul and an Epiphone SG Special. Both sound and play well though the headphone amp I also purchased. That little amp models 14 amps and has 14 different effects, but distortion is not one of them. Still through experience at mixing I am able to get some pretty crunchy metal sounds.

I had to choose between a Marshall 50w with mods and effects or a less expensive 40w amp with excellent reveiws and real spring reverb, but no other effects and this pedal. The amp is still a week away from delivery so I used the headphone jack just to get an idea of how this effect simulator sounds.

Well, it sounds exactly the same no matter what you do with the controls other than volume and the 3 foot switches. No matter which foot switch I choose, the dials make absolutely no difference at all. There is a noticeable delay effect that plays through all 3 foot switches, but I can't adjust that effect in any way with the dials. The foot switches seem to act more like the pickup selector on the guitar itself more than anything else.

I think I'll send this back and cancel the amp delivery. I'll just pay more for the Marshall 50w with mods and buy independent pedals for delay and distortion.

Compact and powerful!

Great for practice. Or even smaller performances. It runs on USB power and has a built in battery so can be taken anywhere. It has most FX you need built-in and can be reprogrammed using a PC and easy to find software. Can save up to 8 IR's from PC. Also can be reset to factory very easily with PC. Only con is it didn't come with a 1/4 in patch cable. So if you don't have a 1/4 cable spare order one.
