This up boost pedal is quite compact and was no problem to squeeze between other pedals on my pedal board. It doesn’t appear to add any loss or noise to the audio when not in use. The input and output are in the standard configuration so it was easy to chain in line and the power barrel connector is your standard voltage for your pedal board power supply. It’s a nice intermediate paddle to manipulate sound from upstream pedals. Seems very well made and was a good value.

Compact and affordable distortion pedal
I got this distortion pedal just as I was finishing a pedal board build, and a distortion was the major thing missing from that build. This pedal has a nice compact size, and it fit perfectly in my board. The pedal has a solid metal housing, and it is very sturdy and well made. The pedal features three knobs - tone, level, and gain. Each one provides a nice level of adjustment to dial in the sound just right and get just the right level of distortion. The input and output jacks are sturdy and provide a good connection. The power port is on the top, and it works with any standard pedal power supply brick. We love the sound we get from this pedal. It definitely out punches its price when it comes to sound and tone. Overall, we are very happy with this distortion pedal.

Standard quality petal at a good price
I used to play a lot of guitar back when I was in school. Now that my kids are getting a little older and have shown interest in playing, I've started tinkering around again. I lost a lot of my gear over the years, so I wanted to get a new pedal to play with. I picked this one up since it the price point was very nice and it filled a slot that was currently empty.
The first thing I noticed when it arrived was the size. I used to play with Boss pedals and was used to that size factor. This pedal comes in much smaller (I'd guess about a third of the size). This can be good or bad, depending on how you want to look at it. If you were putting together a pedal board, this could be a good thing since it is very compact. On the other hand, casual play can be a little more difficult. I found that the pedal 'rolled' a little when on carpet. I also felt that the actual pedal was small and hard to press when not wearing shoes. For my usage, I'd count the size as a negative, but I understand that is a personal preference.
Sound quality seemed decent. I've heard better quality, but I've heard worse too. For what this costs, I think you get a good level of quality. I compared to the Boss pedals I used to have, and this is a fraction of the price.

Good function, good value
Prior to this year, I have been using a digital box to control my sound. You know, the one that plays compact discs at varying speeds, so you can play along with some sound control.
This is a useful addition to my growing pedal collection. It was a great value for the money, and while it doesn’t quite emulate the Boss DS-1 exactly, it’s close and provides a good boost.
The construction is durable metal and looks great. It does require a 9v power transformer, which did not come with it but which I was able to find and purchase separately without issue.

Hey McFly, you bojo - Those pedals don't work without power!
These LEKATO pedals are really well made, and a great value for the price, and frankly I think that anyone looking to tweak their sound shouldn't be afraid to give any of them a try. I'm a primarily a bass player (as you can probably tell from my other pedal in the photo) but do dabble with guitar. I paired it up with a Fender Acoustasonic Player Telecaster and played with the pickup settings to find a variety of tones that could scream at me. I don't have any other solo distortion pedals to compare it with (only emulations via Spark or NI Guitar Rig), but it could have a home on any creative guitarists pedal board. Solid gain and tone qualities to be had. Not a lot of room for a 9V battery, so make sure you've got a real deal power adapter!

Solid build, great knobs, good product
This is a REALLY solid product. Much higher quality than I was expecting. The exterior casing is painted metal, not plastic, and the aluminum is quite thick. Super durable.
The buttons operate quite smoothly, though I wish they were slightly more firm. They aren't loose goosey, but could be a little stiffer. The TS/Clean switch is tiny, but metal. Great as well!
The foot button is metal, and requires a nice firm push. It would be very hard to have an inadvertent press.
The 1/4" connections are standard, and work just fine. You will need to provide your own 9v power supply. I did try to connect a usb-c to dc barrel plug adapter, but it would not power the unit... you'll need a true 9v power supply.

Great little boost with a touch of Tube Screamer magic
It cleanly increases your signal without any noticeable tone loss or unwanted noise. The build quality feels sturdy and reliable, and while it’s a mini pedal—about half the size of a standard sized pedal—it fits nicely on a pedalboard. It even comes with Velcro strips (the rough side) for easy mounting to your current board.
I’ve been using it with the clean channel of a Boss Katana Artist 1x12, and it really brings that amp to life. It adds a noticeable punch and clarity without coloring the tone too much. Compared to my TC Electronic Spark, it delivers a very similar clean, transparent boost, but what sets it apart is its ability to mimic a Tube Screamer-style boost when dialed in right. You can get that subtle midrange warmth and edge—perfect for pushing your clean channel into a touch of grit or making solos stand out.
Overall, it’s a great option if you like the transparency of the Spark but want the flexibility to add a hint of that classic overdrive flavor when you need it.

A very good overdrive - just not what I'm looking for
This is a great little distortion pedal - aaand I won't be using it on the regular. Here's why:
My usual signal chain is chromatic tuner>noise gate>distortion>chorus>analog delay and then out to a clean channel amp which is usually my Orange Crush. I put this in my pedalboard right where my usual overdrive pedal is, everything else was left the same. The overdrive this creates is almost identical to what my Orange Crush puts out on the dirty channel - warm, fuzzy, nice harmonics, more like a classic rock overdrive. It IS a tone reminiscent of a DS-1 but I don't have one of those to do a side-by-side comparison. It's a good pedal, sturdy, and kicks out good driving rock tone and a lot of bang for the buck.
That said, I won't be using it all that much and I just might leave it next to my vintage Magnatone for those days I want to keep it simple and play with that older, warmer sound. I'm not going to knock the rating just because I want something different. This is an excellent overdrive pedal on its own merits. It's very nice but it's really more vintage fuzz than metal and it just doesn't have the silky oversaturation that I usually want. It's a good pedal and worth keeping, to be sure, but it's not going to be my immediate go to.

Works well. Will also need a 9V pedal power supply and 1/4" cable back to the amp (or next pedal).
I ordered this for my son, who has been practicing on the electric guitar for some time and wanted to experiment with various pedals. The box looks like a very rugged unit, literally built to be stepped on. His review of how well it works was two-thumbs-up, without removing the headphones. Being a newbie, I was a little confused about the required power supply when ordering. The listing says 9VDC Center Negative.. but doesn't give the plug size. I finally figured out that if I just searched for "guitar pedal power supply" they would be easy to find, and they had them with multiple daisy-chained jacks for use with multiple pedals. Also, don't forget the 1/4" cable. You will need one to get from the pedal back to the amp, or a short patch cable if you have multiple pedals. In any case, it works as intended, he's happy, I'm happy. I'm sure we'll try other pedals from this manufacturer too.

Fantastic and versatile lil TS clone
I’m building a second pedalboard and like to have that TS-type overdrive on hand no matter what. This is not only filled that gap, but also provides a solid and more “modern” sounding overdrive in the Super setting.
Packaging was standard for these budget pedals. No power supply, bare-bones manual, and the pedal itself in a cardboard box. It’s encased in a metal housing that’s surprisingly sturdy feeling! The knobs also feel quality, with no shaking or looseness to note. They also adjust with ease with a pleasant amount of resistance. No struggles with the power switch either, pretty smooth to turn on and off.
The sound of standard mode is definitely a TS clone with a bit more girth to it. The pedal can get noisy when cranked, but a solid gate helped me tame that while testing tones. It does the SRV thing VERY well, and accomplishes that overdriven tone at much quieter volumes than a traditional Screamer. Apartment-bound blues guitarists, rejoice!
The Super setting brings a lot more bass and gain to the table, sounding closer to a Boss overdrive than anything TS-related. This is great for my purposes tho, giving me two solid overdrive tones in one pedal on what’s to be a small board. The added versatility makes this an even better value than it would be as just a budget Screamer. Highly recommended for any budget players looking for THAT tone or pedalheads looking to play around with a neat stompbox.

Great take on a classic
It isn’t hard to guess that the “classic green box” circuit that this pedal was inspired by is the Tube Screamer.
I’ve been a long time fan of Tube Screamers and own a few varying from an official Ibanez to expensive boutique clones to budget versions like the Lekato. This Lekato sounds as good as any of them to my ears. I didn’t pop the back off to try to identify how close the circuit and components are to the original, but I compared it directly with one of my favorite and much more expensive boutique clones and they sounded very similar on similar settings with maybe only some subjective differences.
I find Tube Screamers to be useful in two different ways. One way is by getting overdrive/distortion directly from the pedal by setting the Drive high. The other way is by setting the Drive very low and the Level very high as a semi-clean boost to push your amp’s tubes harder and get more distortion from your amp. I tried this pedal in both ways with a Fender Pro Reverb and it sounded great either way.
One thing that stands out about this pedal is that there is a switch for Normal/Super modes. When Super is engaged, you get a little bit more distortion out of this pedal than with the classic circuit which is nice for some added versatility.
A nice touch is that the pedal comes without the rubber feet attached and includes both rubber feet and velcro sized appropriately.
Particularly given the price, this pedal is an awesome introduction to the world of overdrives.

Great classic stomp box, good size and value!
This is a solid little overdrive pedal, especially for the price. It’s a compact mini TS-style pedal that sounds surprisingly good. I compared it directly to another one I have and it is noticeably better to my ear. The normal mode has that classic mid-boosted tone and sounds great for rhythm or leads, while the “super” mode really layers on the gain for a smooth, creamy drive sound.
The build quality feels good, and it includes rubber and hook/loop stick-on pads, which is a nice touch depending on how you want to mount it to your board. No power supply is included, but that’s pretty standard for most pedals especially so not a real con.
Overall, this is a great value pedal that punches above its weight. It has a small footprint, big tone, and perfect for anyone looking to add a versatile overdrive to their board without taking up too much real estate.

Good economic distortion pedal.
I don’t know how it compares exactly to a real DS pedal it is inspired by, but it sounds better than the model I have in a digital pedal, and it was half the cost of the real DS. I have it going into a Joyo American Sound and it sounds pretty wonderful, from barely there to screaming. I don’t use distortion all that much and this was a good option for me.
