Cheap crap.
Haven’t even had this thing a week and the magnets are already falling out of the tape measure, the laser gets different readings every time I use it ( even when set up against something so it CAN’T move) and the tape measure itself is cheap and flimsy and won’t take accurate measurements over 36”. And, it came with dead batteries. A COMPLETE waste of money and time. HORRIBLE

Did not come on fresh out of the box the batteries that came with and brand new batteries

Tape wasn’t working correctly from the moment I opened the box. None of the measurements are correct. Tape is showing random numbers on the screen. Those numbers will freeze and won’t change no matter how many times measurement button is pressed.

Excelente producto, mi primera Impresión es buena sin embargo hubiese preferido que la parte de los cms estuviera en la parte superior de la cinta esta en la parte posterior de la cinta. Pero por el resto excelente producto.

I love this tape for getting quick footage of a room or long measurements. I find its really accurate! I do wish i could switch screen to read inches and not feet: example: 69 1/4”
And/or/versus 5’ 9 1/4”

The measuring tape is okay. It functions, the laser measurement is good, but the actual tape itself is very flimsy, extending to more than 3’ sags and twists the tape. Also it rolls back automatically without pressing the button.
Definitely returning this. It’s not reliable or durable.

Made it almost a year, used it for only a handful of projects. The end of the tape broke, causing the rest to spin inside never to be seen again.

Stop working all of sudden!! I already change the batteries and nothing ! I literally used 3 times .. what a joke !!

This tape measure has been one of the best purchases I've made since I started my DIY journey. I wanted a tape measure that showed 1/8 measurements to avoid frustration and keep me motivated. This tape measure delivers exactly that. It's also useful for calculating the square footage of the rooms we're renovating by using the built in laser!

Very accurate and works well. Laser failed after 10 months, but warranty replacement was relatively simple. Their customer support is excellent.
Just ish
Not good enough for my standards 😕. Waste of money

Just opened the box and lcd was scratched.

EDIT: I previously thought my tape measure was inaccurate or broken, then I noticed the small indented text on the side of the device: "+3 3/8in/86mm." Basically, when you use the laser, you have to add 3 3/8" to the reading to account for the length of the tape measure. This is ideal for measuring the dimensions of a bedroom, not so much for something like woodworking that requires precision.
The tab at the end of the tape is still very loose. Had I realized I'd still have to do math to use the laser instead of getting an immediate true read, I wouldn't have bought it. I'll still be returning this item and plan on buying something else.

The worst thing that I bought in Amázon. This is not used to do construction work bent at the first moment. The quality of the metal is very bad.

I was installing 24 steel channels in my backyard. Halfway through the project I was noticing that I was off by 1/8 or 1/4 in my measurement and cutting. That caused problem in my welding as I had to weld a larger gap.
After getting LEXIVON Digital Laser Tape Measure, I was able to accurate measure distance between two post. I could easily get two measurements to confirm. It trimmed my gap down to 1/16 to 1/8.
I appreciate the simplicity of one button digital tape measure. It's easy to use.
I find it so useful that I would buy it as a present.

I really liked this out of the box and it was easy to use. Be aware the laser “expects” the user to hold the back end of the tape measure flush against whatever you’re measuring so it adds 3 and 3/8 inches to account for the size of the case. The measure point is different from what the tape shows. Anyway the tape is to flimsy for me. It bent between the 6 and 7 inch mark and now doesn’t stay straight out. I don’t even know how that happened but the material is thin. That’s a deal breaker for me.
UPDATE 7/18/20:
Lexivon reached out after my review so this is what I told them. “The issue I had was that the tape bent from something I did but I’m not sure what that was. I’ve not had this happen with other tape measures. Maybe it is the material it is made from. I thought it was ruined as it stayed flopped over to the right when extended beyond where the bend occurred. I figured it was ruined so I felt I had nothing to lose by trying to bend it back. I was able to work it so that it only twisted without folding over. I kept at it and managed to get it straight but it still has a kinks in the 7 to 8 inch range which I am aware of each time I extend the tape (pictures attached.) “ To their credit they sent me a new on and paid for shipping for return of damaged one. That’s a big plus for customer service. I really couldn’t find an equivalent item. Others were really bulky and just weren’t as good as the Lexivon so I’m glad to get the replacement and will be careful in the future now that I know it’s limitations. I like having a combined tape and laser rather than two separate devices and I really like the design of this item. Kudos to Lexivon for standing behind their product.

If you look at the pictures / video, you can see I aligned the back of the tape measure to 10", yet the measure is 10 3/8 in one and 10 1/4 in another. :(

It's a great tape measure. I love that fact the all measurements can be taken in either imperial (U.S.) or metric form. The build is high quality and the laser is spot on. I would like to see the red button improved since it feels a bit cheap
but it works fine.

This is a cool 2 in one measuring tape and laser distance meter. It is simple to use and works well. The tape measure is very sturdy and has a great feel. The laser meter is easy to use and easy to read on the upper LCD. Good to have 2 tools in one that can complement each other. The tape can measure short distances up to 16 feet and the laser will measure up to 130 ft.

The tape body is well made and sturdy. The tape stays extended if the little red button is pushed. Push the same button to retract and the mechanism that pulls it back is nice and smooth.
My laser never worked out fo the box. I tried the batteries it came with, nothing.
Very disappointed since the laser part was what I wanted this thing for. When I bought my apartment a few years ago, I had to pay a professional to do all the measurements. He had a similar laser tape that could be used to measure the floor to ceiling height, which I thought was very handy. Too bad this one didn’t work.

I'm always in the market for new tape measures, and I tend not to like the cheap ones that have poor catch hooks or flimsy tapes. I felt with the combined function of this unit that the actual tape measure component would be cheap and feel cheap, but I was surprised that is seems reasonably well built. The catch hook works perfectly and the tape itself is pretty sturdy.
I was much impressed when I opened it to find the batteries were included and a small Phillips screwdriver (used to access the battery installation bay) was also included. That was a nice and unnecessary touch, but it shows that Lexivon wants owners to have a high quality experience.
Of course, anyone buying this unit will be buying it for its laser distance feature. It is intuitive to use and has a nice and easily legible display. Switching between metric and US standard is as easy as holding the button down for 1 second. It stores the first measurement and subsequent measurements on the display so you can effectively store two measurements.
At $30, it's a good value, and considering the additional functionality of the laser measure, the overall size is not much more than a typical tape measure. While it only goes 16', and compares roughly to the size of a 25' tape measure, the ability to measure up to 130' with the laser more than makes up for that. The case construction is nice with a rubber-like bottom and a belt clip. It also fits in a pocket with no problem.
I definitely recommend this if you need, want or desire a laser tape measure!

Very well made tape. Only tape I have ever owned that has both sides of the tape marked. Super easy to read. Aslo love the measurements spelled out with 1/4 and other marks annotated.
Laser measure works well and is spot on when verified with the tape. Just need to keep in mind to add the 2" for the tape itself
Operates on 2 AAA batteries (included)
I really like this tape!!!!! Happy measuring :-)

This is an awesome tape measure. I got it for my husband, but now I use it too. This tape measure is amazing for hanging pictures, and doing other tasks that require accuracy, and symmetry. The laser really allows for perfection. You can use the tape measure itself, or use the laser. I really personally like the laser, especially for tight areas that aren't easily measured using the tape measure part. The laser is dead on accurate! My husband takes this to work with him, so I'm going to have to get another one for the house! I definitely recommend.
