I was looking forward to giving this book as a gift but it’s damaged. It looks like something indented the book and by doing so it damaged and left marks on every page

I would give this a million stars if I could!! I have had the original copy of the story since childhood (top of each image). My son loves this story. He asks to read it almost every night. Since Ive had the book for almost 20 years, it has been well loved & well used. It was literally falling apart. It was time to replace it. I am SO thrilled at the quality. The pages have an added gloss to them, colors are so much more vibrant, & the "spooky words" have some added color to them as well & it makes it so much more fun! So many "remakes" from my childhood have been cheap & the companies have clearly cut corners to save money. Not this one! This book is so much better than the one from my childhood. We were so pleasantly surprised. Very delighted at the quality & the price!!! 😄

I love this book! I use it with my students to teach onomatopoeia. Nice new book, but has a slight bend.

Perfect for sensitive youngsters
Basically about an elderly woman who likes to collect herbs after dark and how she fights off spooky things she encounters in the woods. Cute story to teach kids how to face fears and turn them into strengths. This book is also great for providing something for little ones who want to get in on Halloween fun but not so much for spooky, scary things. This one just has a fun repetition that'll have them cheering for the "little old lady" as she boldly makes it back home. :-)

Must have children's book!
I purchased this book after it was recommended by a librarian. This is an absolutely amazing book! It's fun to read and even more fun when read with movements and noises added. I love they was able to keep both my 18-month-old and seven-year-old engaged while reading. I didn't even think that was possible! This book would be an excellent addition to any home library and a fantastic book to gift to a teacher. We love this book.
