Classic

A cool piece to add to the collection if you're like me.

Its a little awkward when playing FPS games but if youre a gamer you will manage, I was clapping on BF6..

I recommend its a great product and works like a charm.

Total JUNK

Lasted 3 months before it broke.

The R2/L2 buttons just started randomly engaging while playing games. I opened up the controller and saw two of the cables were exposed and likely touching each other.

There's no way I pulled on the cable strong enough for that to happen as the stress point wasn't anywhere near the area that fed out of the controller. It was put together this way. Likely the person building it damaged it and didn't care.

I know this is a cheap controller but if the quality is this bad then I can't take a chance on one of Logitech's more expensive controller's as it's likely the exact same people building them.

Disappointed by recent quality control, left joystick catches when moving up

I have always trusted Logitech 100% because their products are usually super durable and last for years. However, this time I feel like I just had bad luck. I bought this F310 controller and have barely used it, but shortly after the return window closed, the left joystick started acting up. It is hard to explain, but when you push the stick all the way up and try to slide it left or right while walking or aiming, you can feel it physically catching or hitting something inside the mechanism. It doesn't glide smoothly at all. While it might seem like a minor issue to some since the controller technically still functions and registers the inputs, it makes gameplay feel incredibly awkward and uncomfortable, especially for precision movements. It is really frustrating to deal with this annoying friction on a device that is practically brand new and has seen very little use. It's honestly a bit ironic because, if we are being completely honest, Logitech controllers are not visually appealing at all. To my personal taste, the design is pretty ugly and outdated, but you buy it simply because you know it's supposed to be reliable and durable. It hurts to sacrifice aesthetics for reliability, only to have the durability fail you anyway. while the controller still works, the flawed joystick mechanism makes it very uncomfortable to use for gaming. I expected better durability from a brand like Logitech

Uncomfortable if you have small hands

It's a good quality USB controller and Logitech products are generally decent. I didn't have problems with sticking, and it was easy to press buttons and move the analog stick (didn't require much pressing or force. I thought it was neat feature that pressing the Logitech button brings up Steam Big Picture mode, as a shortcut.

Unfortunately, the big "dips" in the controller (see side picture) make it really uncomfortable to use the shoulder / bumper buttons (top and bottom), especially if you have small hands. I also have admittedly been used to the Xbox-style controller shape for years, which might be a factor. But for what it is, I'm returning this and getting an Xbox-style controller, because this is painful to use and makes my hands and wrists hurt.

Recommended 100% for PC

Very good for PC“It’s a classic, old-school model without vibration, but it delivers 100% in its native format for all kinds of PC games! just like an Xbox 360 controller, without the need for emulation. Fully recommended!”

Works Most Importantly

Also is a very pleasant size, between an xbox and PS controller. Sticks feel very solid. Build feels very solid. Instantly connects with Windows 11. I like that it looks simple and is cost effective, but also has an HID support feature (D mode as pictured) if you need. I have no doubt this will last a long time. It feels military grade and by that I mean it will last forever and just plain works.

Awesome for casual gaming!

I purchase this to play some old games (specially old versions of FIFA) and its working awesome, no additional settings, just plug and play.

Great controller for the price

Used on a controller tester and worked very well, quick and simple

Feels cheap but still is great

Worth my hard earned cash

Connecting was easy, just plug into

Simple black matte color

Quick and reactive

It’s a little sticky feeling but is not too bad

Sturdy, Comfortable PC Controller for Steam!

I've always been more of a console gamer than a PC gamer, mainly because I never cared for PC controllers. This controller, however, is awesome and has made me a PC gamer! It feels very solidly built, especially considering the price. I does a great job of mimicking a PS3 controller on a PC and syncs up with Steam seamlessly. It works well with non-Steam games with controller support. It works well with Joy2Key as well. My only complaint is that it is just a wee bit smaller than a PS3 controller and thus slightly less ergonomic, but really only infinitesimally so. It's my new go-to controller for PC gaming.

GREAT BARGAIN CONTROLLER!!

Such a great bargain controller! I’m thrilled and excited because seeing that I’m running an older system that I had built (running on windows 7), I couldn’t get my wireless controller to connect through the Bluetooth.

So since I wasn’t able to connect a wireless one, I figured why not try & get a wired one like we had back in the day.

And boy was I right! The feel of the controller is so smooth, very comfortable in hand, and the response time is 100/10!

You can tell the controller will hold up for the long haul as it’s durable, yet light enough to allow you to play freely without stress on your hands!

It also doesn’t generate sweat and keeps your hands cool.

I’m elated because with so much trial & error trying to connect a wireless controller for over a month, I’m finally able to play my most favorite nostalgic games from the 90’s! :D

If you’re looking for a reliable, fully functional, easy to operate, and cheaper wired controller, get it!

This controller (imo) is for those who just want to “play” & don’t feel the need to be fancy at the time. It works Really well, you won’t be disappointed! 100/10! :))

Works great!

been using this controller for years, we had two of them and one finally gave up after daily use for several hours, and some accidental drops, ordered another one and waited to write the review because the only complaint is that the package came somewhat broken, which made me worried that it had been dropped/crushed and damaged the functionality, but three months later so far its working great

S

Should you buy a Logitech F310?

It works well for the price and not too much more.

This controller has a on off switch, multiple modes, and is comfortable to hold for Play staion usesrs while being X box button mapping friendly.

The Almost Greatest Controller

It feels so nice in your hand.

its input switch is so useful.

and its turbo button, though hard to find a use for, is there i guess.

I've bought this controller twice, and both times after using the joystick, the controller cuts into it. The picture is taken after 1 day of use. I had to buy a new one because logitech wouldnt consider that same joystick on my old one to count under warranty.

the joysticks, though feeling good, are doomed to get cut into by the controller itself and I think, eventually, start loosening.

Basic, affordable, light

You honestly can't go wrong with this controller. It's been around for a while(proven), is light, and affordable enough to take a chance on or even get more than 1 if you travel a lot or have multiple computers you game on.

I chose this model to play emulated PS2 games, but also for general use.(Works well for Xbox remote play.) Roblox etc.

It is like a good hybrid of a ps2, ps3 and Xbox controller.

The cord length should be long enough for any pc gaming. No lag. Buttons are a bit loud, but it is new and they are responsive. Analog sticks are nice and tight/accurate. Back buttons are fine.

I use it for music production

I use this game controller’s thumbstick to control a surround panner in my Reaper DAW, and it works great!

Good enough I bought more

Short version: Good enough for someone who doesn't controller all the time. Bought another to replace a +1 year old one.

Misc background. I main KBM ever since I started playing games on the PC, after I stopped really old games on my Sony Playstation 2 around 2010. No particular reason though just what I had. The controller on the left is from 2016 and as you can see mostly sat on a desk collecting dust after a combined week or two of Super Meat Boy, 20XX (a Megaman style game), and Streets of Rogue 2p local co-op with a friend. Those first two recommend controller, the reason I bought this. Despite how bad it looks it still sorta works.

That controller on the left really seen use after a year of Genshin Impact. It got real noticeable when the A button started collapsing and wouldn't reset consistently so sometimes I would jump again or select or try crafting something twice. The B button for attack was starting to get loose too. I guess I got lucky because I don't remember getting any stick drift unless that one premium $80 or something controller.

It was time for a replacement. That is the new one on the right after doing some weapon ascension material domains with it. Some things I didn't notice on the old controller as I was putting days with it, how grippy the plastic is before hours and hours of human sweat smoothed it, how the thumbsticks actually have textures on them, and of course how loose the more commonly used buttons were getting.

If you're a first time controller buyer this controller should suit most of you fine. I know some more controller heavy clanmates of mine have replaced Playstation and Xbox controllers (though they use them more so it's probably expected) but if you controller sometimes this could do fine. If you controller sometime but want a more premium experience I'm sure the $40 tier ones are good .

A con for the Logitech F310? I guess the triggers are pretty strong especially if you're an hour into Human Fall Flat night. Oh and no vibration. Shame. The $40 tier Logitech wireless controller/gamepad has force feedback but having to compare $40 tier controllers is a bit harder.

I bought a USB hub and plugged it in the hub, under my monitor, so the cord length was plenty for me and whenever a friend would come over for some twin stick action.

Works perfectly with game emulators

This was an add on purchase for a little game emulator that contains thousands of games from the late 20th century. It works perfectly with no lag or compatibility issues.

Seems to work well

Seems to work well with both Steam and the PCSX2 emulator. It identifies itself as an Xbox controller to Steam, though, so despite the PlayStation-like design, you do need to realize what the Xbox controls are called. VRChat actually has this controller set up with a full default scheme, so you can use it OOTB for that.

I use GNU+Linux, as well, so I can assure you that it works with at least Debian. Have yet to try it on Arch, but I doubt there will be any issue. Overall, seems to be a solid device, but I've only had it briefly. If there's no updates, take the review as it is.

Quality controller, but buttons feel awkward...

It's a good controller. Works great. Compatible with all my games. My only complaint is the bottom L2 & R2 buttons sticking out way too far. They also take more effort to squeeze than the top L1 & R2 buttons. It's a simple complaint, and by no means makes it a bad product, but it just doesn't feel as good as a direct PS clone controller.

To be fair, I knew I would have this complaint when I purchased this product, but it was the only Logitech available under $50 at the time, so I bit the bullet. A little pricey, but Logitech is a trusted quality brand.

Not a bad wired controller, but F710 is better

I have both logitech F310 and Logitech F710. On this F310 that I just bought, other than it is way cheaper than F710 and comes with usb cable which meet my need, everything is sooo bad compare to F710.

See the photo, the F310 D-pad is really crap, and it is to high, at least quarter inch higher compare to F710, all other button also feel a bit crappy cheap plastic compare to that 3 years old F710. The joystick is the same thought.

Also, F310 is too light weight, and that doesn't give a good feeling in your hand. F710 weight is just nice. I guess that is due to the lack of battery and missing tiny vibration motors.

F310 is better than all other wired game controller due to price and 2 years warranty, but F710 give you much better experience.

Do not buy, Horrible deadzones

This controller was fairly hyped up online as being cheap, sturdy and reliable so I expected it would be good, but the deadzones on the sticks are horrible. The sticks don't register movement until they're halfway completely pushed. If you're into playing competitive games that require finesse this is not the controller for you. I don't play shooters but I imagine this controller makes them essentially unplayable. If you're playing some turn based game I imagine it's fine but personally even in casual games the sticks were just very uncomfortable for me and I wouldn't call myself picky by any means, I typically am one to use generic controllers to save a buck.

The controller was thrown in a box and unused, as I opted to grab a generic switch pro controller for my switch and have been able to use that on PC. That controller overall feels cheaper but at least the sticks are usable. As you can see a comparison of them in the video the sticks are drastically different in responsiveness, for comparison the switch controller was 19 dollars so they're around the same price range. Taking the controller out for this review, I can tell you since sitting in a box unused for a couple months the left bumper is now unresponsive so can't really call it very sturdy either.

There is NO other contender...

This is THE PC gaming controller!!! Oh, you gotta wireless 360 what have you??? It's TRASH!! This is the one!! This controller is more responsive than ANY wireless option. "Oh, but I need wireless because of blah blah blah..." NO YOU DON'T!! Get a USB extension if you must!! I've completed so many games with this model; Skyrim, Doom AS A WHOLE (1993 to 2016...every DOOM game ever), Fallout 3 through 4, GTA IV, GTA V, Just Cause 2, Terraria, Resident Evil 1 remake 4, 5, 2 remake...YOU NAME IT. In conclusion, this controller is the controller to end all controllers!! Don't believe me? I save every F310 I own for parts. I can tear through one in about 2-3 years and I put them through their paces. For the price, you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT do better!! This controller can stand the test of time...and, when it does fail, it's easy to work on.

Good for the price. Not so good in the quality

As the headline says. this controller is very good for the price considering even the most standard controllers can go up to $60. The controller works fine for casual players and you can customize the buttons to your liking as well as not needing to worry about charging the controller. Used this controller for emulators such as Dolphin, Project64, PPSSPP and so on. Also works great for steam games such as DB Fighterz, South Park, Yooka Laylee, Cuphead and so on. Had it for about 2 years and havent had much issues with it. While this controller is really good for $25, it isnt perfect by any means. The controller has very poor joysticks which makes it hard to perform any accurate levels of play for those looking to get into any competitive scene. The general build of the controller is inherently low quality and not recommended for those who want to play to the best of their ability. Even casual players may find a hard time to use this controller, but they'll eventually get used to it.

The controller is amazing for being very cheap, no battery needed, and lasts for quite a long time with minimal care. Not suited for competitive players, those who arent looking for low quality products.

8/10

Pros:

-Great for the price

-Works fine

-Lasts a long time

-Works with steam, emulators and others

-Layout Customization

-Great for casuals

Cons:

-Low quality

-Not suited for competitive/high level play

D-Pad turned freely and sloppily several degrees straight out of the packaging, 0 hrs use.

I love logitech products. I use a G13 gamepad and a G700s wireless mouse and have been more than happy with them. I had a G500 mouse before that and a G5 back in maybe 2006. I dabbled with Razer stuff about 7 years ago and wasn't happy with their build quality at the time. Reading the reviews and understanding the $20 price point I don't think I was overly optimistic that the F310 gamepad was some kind of secret sleeper world-breater, I just thought it would work well and feel acceptable. Holding it for the first time, pressing the buttons and flicking the analog sticks I thought that logitech had achieved just that. Yes it feels lighter and less substantial than an Xbox one controller and I have an old afterglow 360 gamepad that feels better constructed. Still, everything felt mostly as expected, then my thumb found the D-pad. It was loose and sloppy with way more play in it than I believe can be intended. It twists freely clockwise several degrees out of alignment making it, at least for me, unplayable. I mounted a toothpick at the 12 o'clock position with masking tape to show what I'm talking about, please see those pictures. Honestly my guess is that the particular controller shipped to me is likely defective and not representative of most of the F310s they manufacture.

I am happy overall with this logitech gamepad

This is the first controller I have ever purchased. I am happy overall with this logitech gamepad. Overall the shape is nice, and it fits my hands very nicely. After doing alot of research I finley decided on this controller. This was bought for my raspberry pi3 retro gameing project. After getting it set up it works perfectly for this set up. I debated on a wireless controller but after reading some reviews on here about them losing signal when gaming I went with a wired one. All in all a great controller at a good price buy this you wont be disappointed. One last thing I did see some negative feedback on this controller dont let that keep you from buying this I almost let that happen and im glad I didn't.

Great for the price, worked perfectly out of the box.

I just got 2 of these in the mail today and they are greeeeat! They came in easy to open package, so I had no need for scissors, which is always a plus. Don't you hate it when it takes forever to open a package? The gamepads feel really good in your hands, they are very light weight and the keys have pretty good feedback, they're not stiff. I liked the D-pad a lot, it's easy to move it around. One concern I have though is that if you use it too much it might get loose. The cable is 6ft. long so that's a pretty good cable length if you're going to be relatively close to the screen/tv/monitor so some people might need a longer cable if they're going to be sitting farther away. They worked right out of the box with the switch in the back set to X which stands for the Xbox input mode. There's a button next to the logitech (which doesn't really do anything) button called mode that switches the between flight mode and sports mode, to help optimize your gameplay. The color is a little darker than what it shows up in the online pictures, but if you have a lot of light hitting it, it looks dark purplish blue (see pictures)

I will post an update if I find anything bad about it or something breaks

Unresponsive Joystick= Poor Precision Gameplay (Video Included)

Negatives

--- Large Deadzone in joysticks which disable movement if not pressed down completely.

- Poor Packaging with very tightly sealed plastic

- Triggers / Bumpers feel a bit stiff

+ Plug & Play no software required

+ D-Pad design > Xbox 360

+ Nice Design

+ Cheap price ($18.99)

Summary: The deadzones on the analog sticks is a huge flaw in my opinion, so I must give it a 1/5, I would not recommend it to anyone unless you are into very casual games or are just using the gamepad for the D-pad/

Very nice

First PC controller I've owned in at least 10 years and it is leaps and bounds from those old crappy PC controllers. This thing is on par with current generation consoles.

The plastic is kind of slippery, but I got used to it.
