Great Except.....

Been using the wired one for years. Thought I'd use this one for my tv. Cool works great like expected except..what's this Logitech? A specially molded micro USB cable? In 2025? No USB C? If I lose this huge 6 ft cable im out a mouse charger for a Logitech g502 now. Gotta bring this long cable everywhere when out and about now

Great mouse, good size.

It feels amazing in the hand for someone who has big hands, so the size is no complaint at all. It's surprisingly durable and fits every setup well for aesthetics with the RGB. It's helped my accuracy in games and has a stable connection. It functions great for both gaming and regular use. The only thing, which I knew going in, was that it uses micro USB, which they could've updated when they made this version of the mouse. But even then, for the micro USB usually not being durable, the cable is surprisingly durable. It also connects to SignalRGB if you do use it on your computer so you can match the RGB to your setup easily!

Terrible charging port placement. Hardly can fit any cable in the port

It's a good and quality mouse but with terrible charging port placement. Also, it uses a micro USB port, it's not convenient where any other device uses USBC type.

Best mouse ever

I was skeptical about the price but this is probably the best mouse I've ever owned! It doesn't feel cheep and has a really nice build. Extremely accurate tracking, and is really comfortable to play games with. I'd say it's worth it!

Box arrived damaged... mouse is gr8

Its a great mouse, using it casually with my MacBook Pro. The only odd experience I encountered was the damage on the product box, it was inside a box with packaging yet arrived to me with damage 📦

Holds up after years, powerplay mat is a huge bonus

I am at over 2 Million clicks on Old School Runescape ALONE with this mouse on the powerplay mat and it's been perfect. Bought it in January 2023, so it's 3+ years of working just as brand new for me. All of my previous mice (Razer Deathadder x2) started double-clicking after 6 months or so.

I highly recommend this mouse to any gamers out there looking for a mouse. This will cost you more up front, but the price is absolutely right and it will save you WAY more in terms of having to replace prematurely.

In terms of MMO usage, it's got side buttons which I use in OSRS to hit Space to skip dialogue while questing, and to hit Esc to exit interfaces. There's not much more than that in OSRS due to heavy F-Key usage for high-level gameplay.

But for a right-hand user.. I mean, it's built for right-hand. For my large-ish hand, (I am 6 ft or 183cm tall) the size is perfectly comfortable. There is a wide DPI to choose from, but I keep mine low (? 3500 dpi) as I don't play any games competitively.

Again the powerplay mat compatibility is a HUGE plus as it charges wirelessly somehow and I have never had to plug in or swap any batteries in the entire 3 years+ that I've had the mouse.

Can't recommend it enough. Back to grinding Vorkath on my ironman on OSRS. later

Watch Before You Buy: Real review of this lightweight, responsive gaming mouse!

If you want zero lag and top-tier performance, this Logitech G502 Lightspeed is the ONE!! The HERO 25K sensor is incredibly accurate — no lag, no jitter — and the Lightspeed wireless feels just as fast as a wired mouse. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and the battery lasts a long time. I also love the programmable buttons and customization options.

If you want a reliable, responsive wireless gaming mouse, this one is absolutely worth it. plus, the colors are fun :)

Powerful, versatile, and comfortable… but micro-USB in 2025?

Size: Perfect for medium to large hands. The ergonomic shape fits naturally, making it comfortable for long hours of use whether gaming, coding, or daily work.

Performance: The HERO 25K sensor is incredibly accurate. In gaming, it performs flawlessly with zero noticeable latency. But it also shines for productivity great for programming and general use. The customizable buttons help automate tasks and boost efficiency.

Connectivity: It uses Logitech’s Lightspeed wireless tech (not Bluetooth), which is lightning-fast and ultra-stable. Connects instantly with the included USB receiver and is Powerplay compatible for continuous wireless charging.

Feel in hand: Feels premium and solid. I added all the included weights, and it feels nice and balanced robust without being heavy. The buttons are clicky and well-positioned, offering great control.

Scroll wheel: The scroll wheel has two modes: notched and free spin (infinite scroll). It’s extremely useful for navigating long code files, documents, or web pages. It takes a bit of time to get used to, but once you do, it’s hard to live without.

Color and RGB: Sleek matte black finish with smooth, customizable RGB lighting via Light sync. The transitions are fluid and not overwhelming just the right amount of style.

Build quality: Top notch. Nothing feels loose or cheap. Solid construction all around.

Battery life: I've only been using it for a few days, so I can't confirm the full battery life yet. But based on other reviews, it seems to last a long time depending on usage and lighting settings. So far, I haven’t needed to charge it.

Downside: Really, Logitech? Micro USB in 2025? That’s the only disappointment in an otherwise nearly perfect product. USB-C should be the standard by now.

Final thoughts: The Logitech G502 Lightspeed is one of the best wireless mice out there. It’s powerful, comfortable, and incredibly versatile—not just for gamers, but also for developers and everyday users. If you can overlook the micro-USB, this mouse is a top-tier choice.

I bought both wired and wireless - here’s my take.

If you’re on the fence between wired or wireless, I bought both. (G502 Hero $45 and G502 Lightspeed $98)

Here’s my take: They both run the same software and have onboard mode to save your setting to the mouse, which is handy when you want the configurations to follow the mouse, not the computer. They both have a stellar 25k sensor. The wired model has a heavier scroll wheel (feels heavier to the finger when in notched mode and free spin). Both have excellent lag times, though the wireless is slightly higher lag (we are talking maybe a fraction of a millisecond). The buttons all click nicely on both mice, and both mice have adjustable weight, though in different configurations.

If you’re deciding if a g502 is for you, I’d recommend trying the wired one first as it’s way cheaper. I loved the wired one so much that it absolutely ruined my wireless mouse for my laptop, to the point of me buying a $98 wireless one which I was not planning on doing at all.

I have seen comments about longevity but if I get a year out of these I’ll be buying the same ones again this time next year as the design of these mice are absolutely supreme.

The charger port on the wireless mouse is not usb-C which is dumb, it’s an old school trapezoid style connector (it does come with a nice long cable that seems well built) overall I’d say the wired model is a 4.9 and the wireless is a 4.8. Stellar products.

Good but some of the buttons don’t work for specific games

This may be a issue with the game or the mouse I don’t know but for Fortnite when I use the buttons to build or other specific things it just won’t work for me I have t tried reinstalling the launcher but I will one I have the chance another issue is that this think is quite heavy compared to other mouse’s if my mouse continues to show problems then I will return it and buy a new one or replace that one

I “upgraded” from the wired G502 Hero that I’ve had for years to this wireless G502 Lightspeed. I immediately noticed that the scroll wheel on this specific model is loose compared to the older one.

When moving the mouse around with the scroll wheel in Freespin mode, I can hear and feel the wheel rattling left to right. This wasn’t the case with the old mouse. I always kept the old one in Freespin mode with no problem.

This issue is distracting enough that I’ve decided to return the mouse. There’s a bunch of videos on YouTube and Reddit of people doing mods, including shoving tape on the side of the scroll wheel, to remedy this issue. I’m sorry, but that’s laughable for a mouse at this price point.

Great gaming mouse

The Logitech G502 mouse is a pretty decent unit. Feels excellent in the hand. My Razer Viper Ultimate's battery stopped holding a charge so I was forced to look for a new mouse. Saw this mouse getting fairly good reviews and decided to try it out. This mouse met my expectations for the most part. I'll start with the one thing I don't like. I personally don't like the Logitech software. The mouse seemingly only remembers your settings if the software is open, so it clearly doesn't save them to the mouse itself. Unless it only saves key binds and RGB, because my DPI will feel weird for a at least a couple of seconds until the software opens, then it's back to normal. The one massive upside to this mouse is the battery life. This mouse flat out refuses to die on me. I have barely charged it since I got it and it seems to run forever. The lighting is really great and I love the RGB indicators for battery life on the mouse. This mouse comes with optional weights to add onto the mouse to add some heft (Case and weights pictured). I personally don't use the weights in my mouse because I prefer a lighter mouse, but the weights do feel good and are easily installed into the mouse via a magnetic door on the bottom of the mouse. Also, the case the weights come in is a nice touch. I love the ability to have the mouse wheel fly freely in the mouse allowing you to scroll up and down a page at an extremally quick rate. Overall great mouse that is only slightly hindered by its software. All in all, 4/5 stars!

Perfect gaming mouse!

This amazing mouse from Logitech, which is perfect for my gaming laptop and it actually performed very well while playing games you can shift between your DPI smoothly and flawlessly, which is amazing. And very needed when playing certain different type of games when I need to go from fast DPI to slow DPI Also, the quality of the mouse feels very good and there is no cheap feeling. It feels very solid. It also comes with some weights if you would like a heavier set mouse, which is amazing future I really like that about this mouse.

Worth the money

This mouse is amazing

The only reason I give it four stars is simply a problem that comes with every wireless mouse. Unless it uses battery like the Razer Basilisk. Or it has a charging dock. With the g502 light speed it uses a charging cord, unless you pay an extra 100$ for the power play mouse pad. But I don’t have 200$ in total so I can only afford the mouse. Great purchase don’t get me wrong but the battery issue is a nuisance. Sure the battery can last like 10 hours of gameplay but unlike a wired mouse it will eventually die. But anything has pros and cons. I mean like the ‘Hero 25k sensor’ is so accurate that when I put the mouse on my bed the mouse pointer goes crazy that’s how accurate it is. Now the mouse looks clean, the RGB feels more vibrant than last gen g502 Hero. When I play my hands sweat, I used the hero smudges would stay on the mouse and it looked awful. So far after using the light speed I don’t have that issue. That’s why I liked the Basilisk so much. I also feel like the mouse can spin for much longer. The way it charges is really convenient. Although it would look much cleaner with a charging dock. It’s also really convenient as the whole plug and play, I mean it’s wireless, but all you have to do is plug in this small usb adapter and switch the mouse on. Overall I do suggest this mouse I would give it five stars if it had a charging dock. I really enjoy playing long hours with this mouse. Just charge it when you go to bed or when you aren’t using it.

The battery lasts forever!

All the pros of the normal g502, but wireless! Super ergonomic!

Nothing but the honest truth

Honest truth: Highly recommended mouse

Ergonomics: this is an excellent mouse to do anything you want it is not

just for gaming, the ergonomics are great for medium or small hands It

is very comfortable mouse to use it is not wide and bulky and does not

make your hands tired or feeling pain after using it for several hours.

It is very responsive and fast.

Battery: I had this produce since

May 12, 2021, and the battery last me for three weeks doing school and

work having the DPI lights off.

Comments: My only concern was with the spinning wheels light;

there is not RGB; for the high price I paid for it when it came out; I

think will be a good thing if Logitech added RBG lights in the spinning

wheel. I will strongly recommend it, you will not regret it ;-} like I

have not, and I am very picky about anything I buy.

If it’s not broken, just keep improving it.

Has amazing battery life, perfect for productivity, I love that I can customize each buttons for different profiles. I love most of Logitech peripherals

Fast, reliable, good battery life

Very solid mouse if you want a mouse that’s not to small nor to big then this is it. Not to mention the mouse pad you can get where you never need to worry about cables or charging. The only downside I see to this mouse in my case is no multi connectivity wirelessly to more than one computer . Logitech keyboards can do this but not there mouse line of products

Perfect if you use it right (G HUB)

Ergonomics:

Size wise I have medium hands for a man. I came from using a Razer Deathadder 2013 for the last 7 years and the fit and feel is very similar. I would say to best use the G502’s buttons I’m shifting my hold position up a little more on the mouse but ergonomically it feels just as good.

Latency:

Can’t tell the difference between a wired mouse. I’m using the highest report rate which uses the most battery but I’m okay with the trade off.

G HUB:

If you’re having problems you might be using it wrong. You don’t even need it on your computer after you set up the mouse profile (a tip later), or you can have it set up to not startup with the computer and leave it on there to tweak when you want. Best of both worlds. In G HUB you can program all the buttons, lighting effects and intensity (to save some battery life, I use 44%) and most importantly dpi, as well as the dpi shift speed which I really kind of love. Now there will be people out there saying “I transferred my profile onto the onboard memory, it’s not holding it right when I start up I have to open G HUB to get my mouse acting right DPI setting wise”. That’s all user error. In the program by default there are 3 DPI settings in white, which are meant to be what you adjust through with the dpi buttons up and down if you want that. Most people don’t want or need that and on startup it goes to the lowest setting. G HUB could make this more clear because I don’t know why you would want to shift through DPI so often anyways. Regardless delete the other two and leave a single white DPI setting and a yellow DPI shift setting. At startup of the mouse/computer your DPI will be as expected without having to open G HUB. What happens when you do it no longer goes to lowest DPI option but instead goes to the one it was set to. Copy profile over to onboard and never use the program again, delete it or leave it, disable auto startup so it doesn’t mess with PC performance. It’s up to you and I can’t fault this at all. It flat out works however you want it to.

Overall:

Happy to have made the switch to this mouse. I was torn between Razer and Logitech and you probably can’t go wrong with either but I have no experience with Razer wireless. A docking station that isn’t the PowerPlay mat would be nice though. Razer having that is nice from a desk/wire clutter standpoint and frankly the PowerPlay mat is too small. As an engineer that does 3D modeling and a PC gamer at night this mouse performs great.

Double click occurred within 2 months

I wish I have read the 1-star review before buying the mouse. The mouse is pretty awesome but I got the double click issue in less than 2 months. Upon closer look, it seems that both clicking the left button and releasing the button may register a separate click event, which seems to be fairly common and discussed in reddit and other forums too. I have uploaded a video, and you need to turn on the volume to hear the sound of clicking and releasing the button. The issue happens at click 5-6, 13-14, 26-27, 42-43, 50-52 (triple click), 71-72, 74-75, 77-78, 92-93.

Considering that this is an expensive mouse, I think it is not worth it. Do yourself a favor and get another gaming mouse.

Great Mouse... Until It’s Not.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love this mouse. It’s fast, accurate, and super comfy to use. All of the buttons have very minimal travel, and I find that helps this mouse become more of an extension of your body. It’s pretty clear that this comfy design resonated with people because there are tons of clones on the market now. This mouse obviously isn’t as light as something like a G Pro Wireless, but for a wireless mouse, it’s still quite light. The battery life is pretty great as well. With the RGB toned down in brightness, you can easily get 35-40 hours of use per full charge. G Hub is G Hub. It works pretty flawlessly for whatever you’re trying to do with the mouse as far as settings.

Now for the not so great. After around 8 months of almost daily gaming use, the right mouse button developed the “double click” that I have since seen a lot of people reporting on various forums and Reddit. It manifests in a few different ways, but it is especially noticeable in FPS games because of RMB being aim down sights for most of those games. While holding the button, it aims in and out constantly and doesn’t actually hold the click. With button held down, the slightest amount of hand movement causes the switch to disengage. It’s seemingly random when it decides to work as intended. I have not been “rough” on this mouse whatsoever. Oddly enough, my cousin had this same issue happen to his G703, so it seems this is an issue with the switches Logitech is using in multiple models of mice.

With that said, Logitech’s RMA process was very easy. You simply request a return, and they ask for copy of the receipt and a picture of the device’s serial number with the ticket number for your request written on a piece of paper. I can’t attest to how quick their returns actually are because this was all during COVID.

If I hadn’t had this “double click” issue, this would be an easy 5 star rating. I love this mouse, but your mileage may vary.

Exactly what I was looking for in a high DPI wireless mouse, with a few quirks

I was looking for a high DPI mouse to use with my work laptop to crate a full "wireless" desktop at home.

I've been using gaming mice for work for years as I can't stand mice with "average" DPI tracking speeds. I like my mice to be super sensitive so that I barely have to move my hand to move the mouse pointer across the whole desktop and even across multiple monitors.

Since I am using this with my work computer that I am not allowed to install random software on it was important to me that the mouse allowed the DPI speed setting to be changed with physical buttons on the mouse. Many gaming mice only allow you to adjust the DPI settings via the companion software which wasn't an option for me on my work computer. This mouse has buttons right on the side that let you adjust the DPI speed between several presets right out of the box, no software needed. You can use the software to further refine exactly what DPI each setting will switch to, but I just set the mouse on the maximum setting using the buttons so I don't care about tweaking it further with the software.

I also had tried a Bluetooth gaming mouse from Razer previously, but I found that for whatever reason the Bluetooth connection to Windows was not very reliable and I would often lose connectivity to the mouse. Using the Logitech USB receiver has been flawless and the mouse is just as responsive as my previous wired mice were. The receiver is a standard USB plug, so I'll probably have to get a USB C converter at some point when I get a new computer, but that's not a big deal.

On the bottom of the mouse there are two removable panels. Then circular panel reveals a storage area for the tiny USB receiver, and also has spots for two weights on the cover itself. The larger panel has spots for additional weights. I am using all of the included weights as I actually weighed my previous Logitech wired mouse with the weights I was used to and found that adding all of the weights that are included with this mouse make it the exact same weight as my previous wired mouse. I like the mouse to have some heft to it and adding all the weights gets me that. If you like a lighter mouse you can just leave the weights out or adjust them however you like.

Another interesting default setting on the mouse is that there is a small button that your thumb can press which will reduce the mouse DPI to the lowest setting while you hold the button down. This is particularly nice if you are like me and use the mouse on the highest setting as you can always push down this button if you need to do any very precise movements such as hovering over a very thin edge of a window to resize it or make minute adjustments when doing image editing, etc.

There are a few quirks which are a little annoying, but nothing that would make me want to stop using this mouse.

First, the mouse has colored LEDs inside of it as per all the usual gaming devices of today. By default the colors constantly cycle. You can use the Logitech software to setup the light patterns and lights however you like, but if you aren't using the software you are stuck with the default constant cycling. I even installed the software on my personal computer in the hope that any settings I made would be retained when I switched over to my work computer, but sadly the settings reset to the default after a short time if the mouse isn't connected to a computer with the software installed. So I just have to live with the color changing mouse... which isn't a big deal but I was hoping I might be able to get a little better battery life out of it if I turned off the lights.

The other quirk is the battery life. I definitely cannot get a full week of work out of this mouse without recharging it. Using Bluetooth would give much longer battery life but it's worth the trade off to me to have the reliable and fast connection using the Logitech wireless adapter. The mouse will show its current battery level via the DPI indicator lights when you first wake it up, and will flash a red light when it is getting low. It uses a braided USB cable for charging and also for connecting it to your computer in wired mode if you like. I've actually just setup the cable to a regular USB charger so whenever the mouse gets low I simply plug in the cable and continue to use it in wireless mode while it charges just from the power source. I leave the cable wrapped around the bottom of my monitor so it's easy to access if I happen to run out of battery power at a bad time, and the cable is long enough to basically just feel like I've switched back to a wired mouse temporarily while it's charging.

Overall I think this is the best wireless high DPI mouse you can find, especially if you want one that has all the DPI adjustments right on the mouse itself and doesn't require software.

Logitech knocks it out of the park yet again!

Disclaimer: I had the wired G502 for 3 years before I decided I was sick of wires, but that should tell you I already knew going in this was the mouse I wanted to take with me to grave and have zero experience with other gaming mouse. Also, I use this with a Macbook Pro.

EDIT: Switched my rating down from 5 to 4 stars because G Hub is not, in fact, as marvelous as I thought. I've been encountering a strange issue on my Macbook Pro Mid-2012 model running Catalina, connected to an external monitor. If my macbook goes to sleep with the USB and the monitor plugged in, G Hub refuses to recognize my device when I wake the laptop. I can left and right click, but the programmable buttons revert to their defaults temporarily. The issue is resolved if I unplug either the mouse or the monitor before the laptop sleeps, but for a $150 mouse I expect nothing short of perfection, and this is a little annoying.

EDIT 2: I have managed to consistently avoid the issue mentioned above by turning the mouse off before my laptop goes to sleep. I would rather I not have to but it is an excellent product in every other regard so like whatever at this point. Also, the battery on this thing is ridiculous I've been using it for 4 days and it just dropped 16%. I'm honestly glad I didn't get the powerplay mousepad I'm unlikely to find it necessary at this rate. Good work Logitech!

Edit 3: Apparently the G Hub issue is a lot more common than I thought smh

Pros

• Zero noticeable latency relative to the wired counterpart. Absolutely none it's mind-blowing how good these are

• Very ergonomic, I use it for hours on end without fatigue

• More shortcuts through the programmable buttons + multiple profiles than you'll know what to do with. It's nice to know I have always have the option of switching out a CMD+S with a mouse click if I wanted to, although I probably never will.

• Excellent battery life, I could have done with 24 hours too since I charge everything else everyday anyway lol but the rated 48-60 is ridiculous and much appreciated.

• The packaging is superb, I honestly felt like they put effort into designing it and making sure the customer feels special while opening it. Almost like an Apple product.

• The plug n play nature is fantastic. I plugged the USB receiver in and bam, mouse works! No need to ever open G Hub if all you want to do is left click and right click (although if you're spending $150 on a mouse I should hope you intend to do more than that). The DPI out of the box was quite slow for my taste but all it takes is a couple of clicks to fix it.

• I love G Hub, there seems to be a fair amount of hate for it in the community but the UI is fantastic (the UX is more of a con, listed below) and the number of options is mind-blowing. I love personalization, and I love being able to make the mouse completely my own, tailored to my work/gaming needs. I use it more for work funnily enough, it is fantastic from a productivity standpoint.

• There is an option to add weights if you think it's too light, once again love the configurability.

• Powerplay compatibility means if I want to shell out another $100 (and sadly I likely will) then I can use the mouse forever without having to ever charge it. It's a definite luxury not a necessity, so I appreciate them giving us the option.

Cons

• Only for right-handed, they don't make a left-handed version

• I managed to chip it a little on the inside while trying to remove the cover, it should be slightly more resistant

• I don't like having to read the manual for G Hub, I prefer that such software be intuitive enough a layman could figure it out. I'm a software engineer and still took a while to figure out how to use multiple profiles while not in onboard mode

• The G4 button is ridiculously uncomfortable to get to, I'm not even sure why it's there except to boost the number of programmable buttons lol. I would have preferred a button on the right I could push with my pinky.

• The elephant in the room, I could probably have gotten similar performance out of a $50 mouse nowadays so $150 is pricey for sure, but for the plethora of button shortcuts available and the sheer joy of knowing it is absolutely perfect in every way is perhaps worth it.

• The G logo is hidden by the hand most of the times so I would have preferred there to be RGB effects elsewhere on the mouse as well, but eh.

• The stepwise scroll wheel feels really wonky to me, I always use infinite. Perhaps because I'm on a Macbook idk

• It's only available in black, which is not a deal breaker obviously since it delivers in most other ways but continuing the trend of configurability I would have liked to see some color options, perhaps even engravings on request. I don't ever intend to sell it to another soul, so why the heck not :D

Still the best mouse I've ever owned

I've had the wired G502 for many, many years. I love the design, it fits my hand perfectly so it will not tire. My only complaint was that it was wired. This was the best thing since sliced bread. I have had Razers and other gaming mice before but most broke down after a couple years. I still have both of my wired G502 and they still work great, but giving one away to my sibling and taking the other to work, I needed a new one for gaming and this is great! If you loved your wired G502, you will absolutely love this. Highly recommend. Custom DPI, Lighting effects, Macros, hotkeys and more. Be sure to download the Logitech G Hub to access them.
