Best gaming mouse on the market

I love this Logitech G mouse! It’s the best on the market. The lights are fully customizable and you can use it both wireless and with the cable. Super comfortable, precise and high quality. Highly recommend!

I've been with logitech since 5th grade (2005)

Ive been with logitech since 5th grade in 2005 when my mom bought me a logitech extreme 3d joystick for microsoft flight simulator on our crappy home computer. Since then I have probably bought a few mice and controllers from logitech. Mainly I enjoy logitech's mice the most, theyre just good, they never break (from QC issues)or have software issues. The only time these mice break are after years of heavy use and it usually results in misclicking or double clicking and that will happen to any brand of mice as nothing mechanical lasts forever under use..

At one point I think logitech upgraded me like 2-3 times over the years for free. I bought a G700 in 2012 and got a double click a lot sooner than it should've been. They gave me a G700S (upgrade) then, I think that didn't last more than a year or 2 as well and then they sent me the G502 proteus core (the OG G502) in 2014. That G502 lasted me till 2021!!!! even though the plastic was warped from my sweaty hands and the blue LED lights were no longer all blue but some were kinda greenish blue due to the LED reaching end of life (very very impressive). I actually only threw that mouse away last year and it still worked perfectly, it was just beyond dirty, warped plastic from thousands of hours of use and had a frayed cable (wired).

Then I got a G502 lightspeed in 2021 and it started to misclick.. like it started to let go of a click that I was still holding a few months ago. I ended up just buying this one because they have the best mice, the least intrusive software and good customer service.

Logitech used to replace a lot of products WELL after warranty. I don't think they are that way anymore which is fine. Logitech deserves the money and I never feel that way about a big company but they really care and you get a quality product that's gonna last you at least 4-5 years nowadays. Personally I have been at 800dpi since 2012 when I got that G700 and haven't gone back. Sometimes I turn it up or down 100dpi but I dont see the need to advertise crazy mouse sensitivity when most just end up turning down the sens in game anyhow.

This mouse has a better battery life than the G502 lightspeed. I always keep it on a lower RGB brightness setting 20-35% is enough to look cool but not be distracting and also not drain your battery. I kinda don't care now though because logitechs newer mice take usb-c where my older ones took micro usb which was annoying to find all the time when I needed to charge.

This is the best fitting mouse you will probably ever use if you're a palm enjoyer like me. The software and mouse are beyond easy to use. You can adjust the dpi up and down with the buttons and the colors change when you do that so you know which mode you're in. Also it fits in your hand and is very portable if you wanted to use it on the go.

Basically if you're a mouse palm user then you will likely be a lifetime logitech customer because they're just the best mouse you will ever use.

Perfecto

Overpriced Junk

Do not waste money on this.

Overpriced and it doesn’t even have Bluetooth. It ONLY works with the dongle. Logitech has gone down the road of overcharging its customers for being a name brand. Stop buying their products.

Great wireless gaming mouse

Very comfortable mouse with a solid build quality. The sensor is accurate, clicks feel crisp, and the wireless connection is flawless. Battery life is good and the customizable buttons are really useful for both gaming and productivity. A bit heavier than ultralight mice, but overall it feels premium and reliable.

Battery failed in 4 months.

Bought this mouse jan 1 2026, it's now april 12 and the battery is wrecked. doesn't even last 12 hours. I have other logitech mice that i use for work on other computers that are far older than this mouse and they hold charge weeks at a time.

Proof of how terrible this thing is with battery life, i've attached a screen recording of the battery levels dropping in real time in Logitech G hub. It would be hilarious if i didn't spend so much money on this trash mouse. it's really a shame cause i really like the mouse otherwise. It's just garbage now.

Decent. Worth using an aftermarket part for Qi charging. Scroll wheel lacking. Otherwise happy.

Mouse seems decent so far but there are just a couple dings I'd give it.

The first and largest is the proprietary wireless charging. They could have easily made it Qi charging but they chose to go their own route to make you buy their own charging pad or their own charging cradle. I hate that, because it means I can't have one device on my desk for multiple things like my phone, mouse, etc. I need to have at least 2.

Fortunately this is circumvented by an aftermarket charging coin that you can attach which does use Qi charging. But Logitech should've done that on their own.

The other issue I have is the scroll wheel. It's clunky and loud in one mode. If you switch it to the smooth scroll mode, it's nice and silent but it's super sensitive so any accidental touches activate it. Since I like the idea of constantly switching modes even less than I like the noise, I just put up with the noise and feel, but it feels pretty cheap, especially compared to something like their MX series non-gaming mice.

Other than that, the most is smooth, decent weight, plenty of programmable buttons, software is pretty straight forward and seems "light." The software hasn't been throwing a ton of ads and update requests at me so far (though it's only been about a week).

Awesome

Honestly, dope, I was hesitant about buying a new mouse but this is amazing, perfect weight feels great in my hand and makes scrolling absolutely effortless. The software was easy to use. Overall amazing. Dont mind my little brother playing games in the background

Una mejor versión de su predecesor

Muy buen ratón, con peso ajustable y botones adicionales, es como si versión hero pero más cómoda, lo recomiendo.

Great, comfortable mouse

Fantastic mouse, thumb cradle always feels nice on the g502, the optical switches are a nice touch. Very tactile and responsive. The scroll wheel is the only negative and honestly it is not that bad. Still definitely a down grade from earlier versions of the g502 but passable in my books.

Rubber Wears Out FAST

Rubber Wears FAST

I've used this model of mouse for 2 years (I've gone through 3 of them), and similar Logitech models for almost a decade. I LOVE this mouse, but it has one critical flaw that is going to result in me changing to a different brand after this one: the rubber grip where your thumb rests will erode away extremely quickly. My last two mice lasted maybe a year tops before the entire rubber platform on the left side where your thumb rests wore down to the plastic, resulting in an extremely uncomfortable texture. I do not have sharp/long nails, and I do not use any sort of solution to clean the mouse - just microfiber cloth every now and then.

I game a lot, and I understand I'm using the mouse quite frequently, but this is a top-end gaming mouse and should be designed for hard and extended use.

I just bought a replacement on the first of this month, and already before the month is out, I am seeing the beginning of the wear in the picture attached. Within a few months I'll be having to replace it again... this time I'm going with another brand.

Logitech: Either use a different, more resilient material, or design it so the rubber part can be replaced at the very least.

Great Mouse!

Great and highly customizable/responsive mouse. It’s great for web browsing as well as intensive gaming sessions. I would recommend it. It has many customizable buttons and the lighting is also customizable using Logitechs software. Overall a great purchase! Feels high quality and well built. The colors it outputs on the rgb are nice and bright. The grip is great as well.

Its better than the 502 lightspeed

Ive used a 502 mouse either in wired and then wireless form for quite a while now, it has more buttons than most mice offer in this range and its very comfortable in hand and easy to quickly hit multiple buttons.

G Hub is ok, Ive seen better software, but not better hardware.

The biggest gripe I had about the 502 was the G7 button, the second one down on the left. It was nearly useless; it was small and short and its position made it hard to reach back with your pointer finger and also hard to hit it with your thumb. It looked like it was designed for looks than actually being useful.

Well the 502x fixed that.

The 502x plus is the version I got and it immediately feels both familiar and better than the 502 did. Its a bit wider and less arched and the buttons all feel instantly available just like the old 502 did, but the G7 button is now longer and is easy to hit with the middle of your pointer or a tiny reach up with your thumb.

Time will tell if the change they made to the switches helped.. Ive had one 502 start doing the double click thing.. hopefully the optic ones are more reliable.

Aside from those small changes, all for the better to me.. Logitech left the rest of the mouse alone.

Well, they did remove the ability to add weights, but I never saw the need or benefit to add a gram or two to a mouse, so my old weight packs just got tossed anyway.

The RGB is basically the same, it looks good and matches up with my logi keyboard just the same.. but I did like the lit up G on the 502, that was neat.

Neither of these two minor changes will effect my use at all though.

Anymore it seems rare for a company to update a longstanding product and actually fix an issue without feeling the need to totally revamp the product and end up screwing up more basic features than were fixed.

Logi managed to do it this time, well done!

Very good.

The mouse is very good it is very responsive and there is no delay at all. When it comes to holding the mouse it felt weird at first but got used to it within 2 hours. I also like the app that logitech has and I love how there is many things you can play around with. Battery is great as well, i played at least 5 hours and the battery only decreased by 5 percent. Overall it is great, the only thing I hate is the price. Quite expensive buy meh, at least I got it at discount.

Best Mouse my hands have ever laid on!!

This mouse is undoubtedly the finest I have ever used. The buttons' clickiness is impeccable, and the tracking with the hero sensor is truly revolutionary. The software is user-friendly, and the aesthetics are pleasing. The RGB colors are vivid and vibrant.

I strongly recommend purchasing the Logitech Powerplay. It eliminates the need for charging the mouse and seamlessly integrates with your existing mousepad. It connects to the mousepad rather than the dongle, ensuring impeccable connectivity.

Ergonomically, it is exceptional!

Loud Good mouse

I gave it 4 because the clicks are too loud like the 90s mouse

I had a glitch moment while playing I will update if it happens again

It has more buttons than I thought

You can use it while it charges it uses USB c plug

The scrolling is loud but not as loud as clicking

Exceptional Mouse

I was a bit hesitant on the price for this mouse but ordered one to replace my well worn MX Master 3S. Overall the mouse is very high quality, responsive and accurate with great features both for gaming and for productivity.

Pros:

- PTFE sliders

- Excellent ergonomics and material choices, improved over the G502 Hero

- Highly accurate and good feedback in the buttons and scrolling

- Hyperscrolling button for going through spreadsheets or email inboxes very quickly

- Good weight (this one is subjective, but I like a heavier mouse. Even being wireless this one is pretty lightweight but enough mass to have a nice feel)

Cons:

- Lightspeed only. Lightspeed is really cool, and makes the mouse extremely accurate, but not having the convenience of Bluetooth is definitely a minus in my book, especially having to switch the dongle between devices instead of just pressing a button on the bottom of the mouse like with the MX Master.

Aside from the dongle limitations, the mouse itself is well worth it. The RGB lighting is very nice and Logitech’s G Hub software is pretty good. Battery life has also been very good. I am interested to try it out with the PowerPlay mouse pad eventually, as this mouse is compatible.

Extraordinary!…except the price

Ok, just right off the bat—this mouse is amazing, don't get me wrong here. I just think that it is not fully worth the “inflated” pricing of $159. The mouse truly does have a really high build quality, along with the buttons and some of the basic accessories that come with the mouse. However, what I would have liked to see on this mouse would be a Bluetooth feature. Many mice these days (many of which are even under $70) include a USB dongle AND a Bluetooth option, and looking at the price point of the G502 X Plus, I think it would be a fantastic feature. Another thing I do like is that there are some accessories included which as trademarked with the iconic “G” symbol (see image) and are of high quality. Though, one thing I do NOT like about the accessories is that they are basic, and the average PC home-gamer has practically no use for them.

Enough constructive criticism. Here is the full list of features and things I like:

- 13 programmable buttons (highly satisfying, high quality)

- 5 on-board profile slots

- G HUB (great customization)

- RGB lighting (extremely smooth, adds a great effect)

- Buttons are “accessible” and within reach of an ergonomic grip

- DPI-Shift Button, reversible & removable

- Range extender cable for dongle & for charging mouse

- Does not get damaged from “rage-clicks”

- Fast button presses

- HERO 25K sensor

- Regular and “ultra-fast” scroll wheel (one of the best parts of the mouse)

- [this list could go on for a while, but that is the “highlights” of the mouse]

That sums up this mouse's capabilities, features, up/downsides, and my recommendations for Logitech. Overall, I do think that this mouse has some amazingly satisfying and helpful features (especially that scroll-wheel) that make me love it, but I only don't love one big thing - the price point. If, say, this mouse had been 50 or 60 dollars less, it would have been much more popular among the market, and also would have been more accessible and appreciable by many more users.

Not happy with product

Purchased as new and received used item. Multiple signs of previous use. After watching multiple videos on YouTube I couldn’t get the USB dongle to connect to my computer. I also tried looking for the RGB settings in the Logitech hub and I didn’t find anything until I realized that it wasn’t even the corresponding model I had purchased. I would have kept it if it at least worked but I even paid $50 extra dollars for nothing. I will keep looking for a different mouse. Do your research before buying.

Feels cheaper than lightspeed, works with old weights

I am quite disappointed by this model over all.

Pros

-New reversable thumb button is nice

-Color coded profiles are nice

-Its fast with little to no loss, even at about 15 ft from dongle.

-good battery life(this was never an issue on the light speed for me anyways)

Cons

-Too light

-feels flimsy

-mb1&2 clicks feel a little softer and i like the sound of the click less

-No weights to customize

-3 Thumb button cluster feels more compact which was already a problem for accidental clicks.

Fun fact: if you arent using the wireless charging you can swap out the plate underneath for the weighted one from the old mouse.

An improvement even over the regular wireless g502

What I love about this variant is 2 fold:

It uses a USB c cable to recharge it. It may seem like a small thing, but I love that I can charge my phone, keyboard, headphones, and mouse (as well as a few other things) with the exact same cord. Hence why in my photo the cable is white (it's not the one that came with the mouse, it's a better quality Anker one I use for my phone)

All the small design changes from the regular g502 are a net plus. It looks nicer with the lights, sure, but I mean the grips and wheel design. My main issue with the original g502 was that the grooves in the rubber were such that they overtime got clogged with dirt and dead skin. The ridges on this one are significantly different and have not gotten nearly as disgusting overtime. I should also mention I regularly clean my mice but this one just simply doesn't get as dirty as the other one even tho I use it the exact same way.

B

Brendan Gordon

An improvement over the G502, with some important changes.

The pros:

-Lighter weight: About 11g lighter than the original G502, and you can tell. the balance of the mouse is more in the middle of it, rather than the rear of the mouse as it was previously.

-PTFE feet: While also being lighter, the mouse glides effortlessly across your desk, especially if you are using a quality desk mat/ mouse pad. The reduced friction and lighter weight pair together to make a wonderful user experience.

-Feel: Subjective, but I feel like the G502X is more comfortable in the hand. The ridges in the thumb rest are also more comfortable than the original's triangles.

-RGB: The lighting on the latest line of Logitech products have been stellar, and this is no exception. It's very tastefully done and very customizable in the software, if that's your speed.

-Reversible 'clutch' button: This is one of my favorite changes that's been made to the original. In most games I bind this button to toggle my microphone so that I don't have to take my fingers away from movement keys or the mouse. Putting it in the 'reverse' orientation is perfect for this by keeping the button out of the way, but still accessable.

USB-C Connectivity: I'm a big fan of more products moving in this direction.

The cons:

-The switches: I haven't had any of the double-clicking issues that I've heard of in previous Logitech mice (nor did I have any in my original), but I truly dislike the sound of the new switches. I understand that the new light-based switches are meant to be more precise, but the metallic 'ping' is fairly undesirable to me. Usually I use my headphones while at the computer, so this is less of an issue for me. Those times that I am not using my headphones and instead my speakers, however, and I'm reminded of the ping-i-ness of the 502X.

Overall, this mouse is an improvement for my overall user experience. If you're looking for a lighter mouse to replace your G502, but have gotten used to the many reprogrammable buttons available to you, this would be my recommendation. I was debating using my Christmas giftcards on a G Pro Superlight, but am pleased that I went with the 502X instead.

Epic features and perfect precession

Out of all the gaming and general mice that I own, this one has been epic for the number of features it has. From customizations to overall use this Logitech G502 X Plus performs in a variety of ways to enhance the gaming experience. First off, out of the box this mouse comes with everything needed to get setup. The build quality is very nice with textured and rubberized grips and nicely placed tactical keys. The mouse rests nicely against my hand and ensures for a solid grip when used.

There’s a variety of buttons that can be programmed utilizing the Logitech G HUB or any in-game key programmer. Furthermore, the mouse has an RGB light engraved into the overall design of the palm rest and seriously adds a very nice touch for any gaming setup or desk configuration. The number of options for the RGB light is amazing and I can most definitely see that Logitech spent a great amount of time ensuring that this mouse performs on all levels especially for the price. Within the build of the mouse, there’s a wireless charging disc that can be synced onto a Logitech desk pad (which is sold separately). The precision sensor is very accurate with five different DPI settings to choose from based on the Hero 25k sensor. It’s advertised as a lightweight mouse which can be a good or bad thing based on your preference. For my use it works but I’d actually like to have this mouse with some more weight as it’s too light for me. However, that hasn’t stopped me from using this mouse on a daily from both games and general productivity. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with this gaming mouse and would recommend this to anyone else looking for a robust and customizable mouse!

Upgraded from G502 wired. A great experience with one small issue...

There is another review that is pretty in depth in comparing old to new so i will avoid that..

Overall, coming from a G502 wired this is a great upgrade but has one very slight difference (enough that it has thrown off my usage a bit in certain scenarios).

The issue is the "back" thumb button is SLIGHTLY taller/larger, and it sits lower due to the taller size. The button pressure to actuate it appears to be lighter than the G502 Wired. The combination of the 2, results in consistent bumping of the thumb button when playing games (primarily FPS when it happens), which is normally my melee button. Over the past couple weeks i have gotten better at avoiding this but due to muscle memory it has been a tough thing to adjust to.

I do not have super large hands or fat fingers/thumbs either. I think the thumb space on this mouse is a little smaller than it should be. I also compared it to my Razer Basilisk X and the Logitech has a smaller thumb space as well.

The MS paint drawing attached compares the 3.. Take note the flat line starting on the G502 at the far left bottom corner of the button and how it intersects the buttons on the other mice, along with the angle of the button which shows the G502 X Plus being a little lower..

Again, this is a great mouse, but the random melees while playing FPS due to the slightly different button positioning was enough for me to dig into what was causing it along with sharing what i found.

Solid gaming mouse

First and foremost…it’s a Logitech. They know what they’re doing but is this a perfect mouse? Not at all. So the good. Has nice ergonomic feel. It’s much lighter than my G602. Probably 30% lighter. The button clicks are nice. Not too loud. A lot of programmable buttons. I like how you can remove/swap the “sniper” button. It’s really responsive. I don’t think I noticed any lag time with using it on Bluetooth - at least not enough to mess with my gaming. I like how the pads at the bottom are this smoother white material. The mouse glides much smoother.

The bad? If you're looking for an ultra lightweight mouse…this isn’t it. It’s not heavy my but I know some serious gamers prefer something much lighter. I’m not a fan of the scroll wheel clicks. It feels too spaced out when compared to my MX Master or the G602. There is a button dedicated to disabling it but even that is a bit annoying. It’s mechanical and not electronic like the other mice I mentioned but I think that’s to help cut down on weight. The RGB is nice but I’m still trying to figure out how to change the color effects but the Logitech G HUB app doesn’t seem to allow. So not sure if RGB is always this purple/blue color.

Overall, a very solid gaming mouse. Would recommend.
