Spend a little more and buy the MX MASTER 4.

I used to use the MX MASTER 3... but this feels much more comfortable.

I love it, but…

As a basic user with a tech-oriented mindset, I’m amazed by how customizable this device is. I’m still learning to take full advantage of all its options, but its basic performance is excellent. I absolutely love it. If you’re a videographer or regularly work with Excel, code, or other demanding tasks, this is definitely a device worth having.

If it fails you rebuy, no reliable support

The Mouse is great, works as described etc etc blah blah. However mine stopped working completely 5 months in and the Logitech support for their 3 year warranty was such a slog. You need Google Drive, give permissions for visitors etc to get a replacement. They will ask you to film your device but then you have to format the video etc. I’m 40, my 70+ grand parents would have no idea what the support team was talking about. So if

You choose to get and it breaks you need a video formatting service to compress your videos so they can review. And a pHD in computer science. The video attached is the one that Logitech didn’t accept for the final review process ( due to file being to big) 🙄

Worth it!

This is a sweet mouse, super smooth DPI, I use all of the action buttons constantly at work, and I love the ability to quickly swap in between computers with a single button. Well worth the money

Best Mouse

This is my 3rd Logitech ergo mouse, and I will keep buying them as long as they make them. Obviously I don’t need to upgrade them every couple of years because they do last, but I like getting a new one. Very comfortable, I highly recommend!

I had a used one, it has scratches on the bottom. Seems to work fine, but I did not pay an open box or used price.

When you're done settling for lesser mice... welcome to the MX Master 4!

It's inevitable. I keep thinking "Someone will make a better mouse than Logitech!" Or even one that's "just as good!" And I've tried many of the ones from other brands that resemble the MX Master series. But I keep coming back, because in actual use, nothing I've found actually beats the original.

I've had my trusty Master 3 for years, but now the Master 4 manages to improve on it.

The changes I like most: gone is the rubberized texture. It tended to get scuffed up and worn. My Master 3 has a worn spot from years of use. The Master 4 has a more solid texture that's still comfortable, but I can tell it will hold up better over time and is much easier to clean.

The main buttons are covered with a frosted clear plastic. They feel even more durable than the older design.

I love custom buttons, and now we get 3 on the side rather than 2. It took me a bit to get used to the placement, but now that I'm acclimated, I love the layout.

The thumb button is much better than the old one (which honestly, I barely used). With the MX 4 I find it so natural to bring up the Actions Ring.

Which brings me to software. This is really what sets the MX Master apart from every other knock off I've tried. The software is so good and works perfectly with every app I use. There are plug-ins for the Actions Ring for apps like Photoshop and Premiere, which I use a lot. The seamless integration of the software helps achieve the main thing I want from a good mouse- make my workflow easier, more comfortable and more streamlined (as much as is possible from a point device). Put a few often-used shortcuts in the palm of my hand, but don't get in my way. This combination hardware and software achieves all of that.

I paired this with the Logi Bolt dongle, and the connection is rock stable. The investment in both was worth it since I can expand to multiple devices from one dongle as needed. As always, I switch between two Macs and a PC with ease. Use with multiple devices is yet another major strength of this mouse, and software features like Logi-Flow make multi device use seamless.

I love the look of the mouse and love it in the lighter color. I've no worry about battery life. The MX 3 I'm replacing still has "I never even think about it" battery life after years of use, and no doubt the MX 4 will have worry-free battery life for years to come. Even with daily use, I count recharges in the span of weeks.

The scroll wheel to me feels identical to the MX 3; the same excellent quality I'm used to. The side scroll wheel is slightly higher than I’ve been used to it from muscle memory- but now that I'm used to it, I prefer the new location. The difference is subtle, but I find I don't accidentally hit it ever when mousing normally or using the side buttons.

The MX 4 is a little heavier than the MX 3, but I find I prefer this.

I know over $100 is a LOT to ask for a mouse. There are tons of cheaper options, and I've used a lot of them. There are other mice I like using, but NOTHING I like using MORE. The Master 4 easily has become my favorite mouse ever, over the Master 3. When you spend many hours each day with a mouse in your hand, editing as I do, the overall quality, feel, integration with software, features and comfort REALLY matters. Since using an MX Master mouse for years now, I've not had any wrist pain or issues- the ergonomics of this style of mouse works perfectly for me.

A mouse to me is a long-term piece of equipment. It's how I mainly interface with the computers that earn my living. The price for the stellar quality of the MX Master 4 is well worth it to me.

Great mouse. The soft clicks are so good. I customize it using the logi+ app and its been working great for me.

Wonderful upgrade

I received this today. My first impression is that it’s impressive. I have large hands so it’s perfectly on my hand, I’m upgrading from the M720 from a few years ago so this is a welcome upgrade. It’s a bit weighty compared to my older mouse, but I like it. It feels firm and confident in my palm. It glides on a mouse part with no effort and all the buttons are quiet and soft clicking.

Highly disappointed with MX Master 4!!!

I've been using just the MX Master series for a while (over 10yrs), and have extensively used all the previous generations for my work and at home.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

1. Many buttons on this that can be configured using the logi+ app just like MX 3

2. New action button that gives you great extra options to launch applications on screen

3. Very quiet clicks

Cons:

1. Logitech claims that they are using better material for the outer shell with improved textures, but in fact this has made it worse. Its a lot heavier and with more slippery surface and reduced contour, the mouse slips from your hand very often

2. With the new contours and angles on the mouse, it has become less ergonomic compared to the MX 3 and causes strain to your wrist (with you trying to get hold of the slipping mouse and with its weight), so definitely not a recommended model for someone who uses mouse for long hours like me

Verdict: I wouldn't recommend the MX Master 4, but rather recommend the MX Master 3 if you are looking for a great mouse for your work

Be ready for a different shape

Everything great but I don’t like the change in shape coming from a MX Master 3. Ergonomics are significantly different from previous models. Other than that it’s an excellent continuation of the MX Master line.

User review

I’ve been using the Apple Magic Mouse for a long time, but I decided to buy a new Logitech mouse because I wanted to give it a try. I really liked the Action Ring and the ability to customize gestures and buttons for different apps.

However, the very next day, the Logi Options+ app stopped working. It turned out to be a certificate expiration issue. I spent a lot of time struggling with it, even trying to uninstall and reinstall the app. Fortunately, a new patch was released the following day, which finally fixed the problem.

The best mouse I’ve owned

I am not exaggerating when I saw that this is the best mouse I have ever owned. It tracks movement incredibly well. The ergonomic design is excellent, making the mouse comfortable to use for extended periods of time. The finger tracker is a wonderful addition. Battery life is excellent. While this is optimized to work with Apple products, I was able to connect it to my windows laptop as well with ease and did not notice a substantial difference in operating quality. Cannot recommend this enough.

What a difference!

This professional-grade computer mouse is exclusively fine-tuned for Mac computers. Furthermore, the purchase even comes with a 1-month free trial of Adobe Creative Cloud subscription which makes it even more value-driven at the time of writing. Is it ergonomic? Yes. How's the tracking? Impeccably precise. And its scroll-wheel? Smooth & Fast. Haptic Feedback? Responsive, satisfying, and simply awesome. It's a worthy upgrade for anyone in my opinion, not just to professionals if the user spends long enough hours in front of their computers. Erm, I meant Macs.

Awesome mouse

I use a computer for standard work (e.g. web surfing, working with doc's, etc.) and for programming. I'm not a gamer. I've used a lot of different mouses (mice?) over the years. This one is perhaps the best one I've ever used. It glides over my mouse pad and tracks flawlessly. Its predecessor had trouble tracking over with the pads' surface (some kind of fabric material) and I had to move it to an alternate surface (e.g. the wood top) which made using the mouse uncomfortable (raised the work plane too high). It fits in my hand very nicely. I find it very easy to move the mouse over my target. It also is super quiet. Using buttons doesn't make any noise. It works great with my mac.

I haven't needed to alter any functions - out of the box it works great. Not everything works with my mac (I have both a macbook and a mini) easily, so this has been a pleasant experience. I like the little wheel on the top for scrolling. It's an intuitive design.

Choosing this mouse would be a no-brainer except it is pretty expensive, at least at the time I write this review. As someone who uses the computer a lot, having a comfortable and functional mouse is important. While I like this mouse a lot, if I hadn't tried it, I might not pick it just because it's significantly more expensive than other mouses. But I will say, it's worked out to be a nice luxury.

On the fence...

Upgrading from a MX Master 3 Mac. Just started using it but I'm finding it feels heavier and is more slippery and harder to grip. Just don't feel as connected. The mouse clicks are really nice though and I think I'll like the haptic feedback. Still on the fence. I'll update my review after a few weeks of use...

A Smart, Comfortable Upgrade—with a Few Rough Edges

The Logitech MX Master 4 feels more like a refined evolution than a dramatic redesign, and that works in its favor. It’s still a large, ergonomic mouse that fits comfortably in medium to large hands, with smooth vertical and horizontal scrolling, strong precision, and excellent battery life. The new plastic shell is cleaner and more durable than the old rubber coating from previous models, and the overall design looks sleek and premium on the desk.

Performance is exactly what you expect from the MX line: fast MagSpeed scrolling, a great thumb wheel, effortless multi-device switching, and tons of customization through Logi Options+. The new haptic action ring is fun and genuinely helpful once you tune it to a subtle setting. Settings transfer from older MX models is a nice bonus, and USB-C charging keeps things simple.

There are a few quirks. The new surface a little slippery when lifting the mouse, and the thumb rest texture is kind of weird and omitting the Bolt receiver at the same price feels like a questionable choice. And while the mouse is quiet, the clicks and haptics aren’t as silent as advertised.

Overall, this is a polished, comfortable mouse with meaningful improvements in feel and durability. If you already like the MX Master series, the 4 is a strong next step—just not a revolutionary one.

the ergonomic design

I’ve been using the MX Master 4 for Mac for a few weeks now, and it has completely upgraded my workflow. First of all, the ergonomic design is amazing — it fits naturally in my hand, so even after long hours of editing and multitasking, there’s zero discomfort.

The performance is just as impressive. The tracking is extremely precise, and the scroll wheel is unbelievably smooth. I also love how quietly it operates; I can work late at night without any clicking noise distracting me or anyone else in the room.

Pairing it with my Mac was effortless, and the controls are super intuitive. The customizable buttons make all my daily tasks so much faster. Battery life is excellent too — I barely need to charge it.

If you spend a lot of time on your computer and want something reliable, comfortable, and premium, this mouse is totally worth it.

Smooth, Precise, and Built for Mac [or PC]

The Logitech MX Master 4 for Mac is incredibly comfortable to use, with an ergonomic shape that feels natural in hand. The haptic feedback and ultra-fast scrolling make everyday tasks feel super smooth and responsive. I love how seamlessly it connects to Mac devices and how long the battery lasts with USB-C charging. It’s a premium mouse that seriously boosts productivity!

Best Mouse I've Ever Used. Worth the Upgrade from MX Master 2S

Coming from the MX Master 2S, the improved functionality, from the haptic feedback on the thumb panel that makes navigating and switching between tasks feel more precise and responsive, to the fantastic thumb scroll wheel, everything is just a bit better. The MagSpeed scroll wheel is noticeably faster and smoother than my 2S, and being able to scroll through long documents at lightning speed then stop exactly where I need is super satisfying. The bluetooth connection seems like it is always on. I never have to struggle. The battery life has been amazing so far and the side buttons not being stacked makes them easier to click the correct one. Great mouse! Contrary to the advertising that this is for a Mac, it is just a bluetooth mouse that can connect to any device. It's just that it matches the dark colored Mac that they advertise it with the "Mac" moniker.

Good mouse......

Id venture to say, the build quality and solid feel are better than gaming mouses ive owned in the past. The usb-c charges quick and while im using it and the internal batteries last quite a long time.. I have the 3rd generation at home but am traveling so of course I got this one. 5 solid stars.

Improves Productivity, Has Mac Color Scheme, But No Dongle!

This mouse can easily switch between various devices. It will run on a Mac, or a PC, or Laptop with Bluetooth, and even an iPad (which I found to be useless - but that's just me). If you do intend to use this on more than just your Mac, then why not have the extra dongle to plug into something? Apparently using the dongle is also more secure. But if the color scheme is worth it for you and you just don't need it, then I suppose excluding it allows Logitech to offset their costs of stocking these Mac flavored colors. This is a great mouse and I'm excited to use it and reap the benefits of added productivity.

Such a great mouse and great for productivity

I'm a bit of a nerd and I love trying different hardware but my literal favorite mouse series I've ever owned is the mx master series by Logitech. Why Logitech mx series? Well it started with the master 1 with it's long battery life and feel + buttons. The 2 and 2s improved even more. I skipped the 3 series and now this 4 series. Man it feels so comfy in the hand. The battery life is awesome and they finally got usbc. I really enjoy the haptic feedback as well as it lets me know when I've clicked the side button better. It is so functional and customizable along with responsive and without any lag. It's basically the perfect productivity mouse on the market. It does cost mind you and personally I wouldn't this version but instead get the normal non Mac so you can get the dongle. Yes macs don't really need a dongle but hey why not have it especially if they cost the same? I really do love the make/feel/quality of this 4 series though. I hope Logitech continues to improve and especially if they can keep the 70 day battery life. I love the mouse and I'll use it till the battery starts to go. Honestly though my kids and wife take my old ones so now my kids have the 1/2s and my other 2s is my wife's now. Now I get to play with the latest and greatest!

Logitech MX Master 4 for Mac Brings a New Bag of Tricks to the Mousing Arena

I've been using Logitech mice for ages, but this one is different. The company's gone next-level with haptic effects, and most importantly, a new way to create and use macros. As a bonus, this one claims to be optimized for the Mac, and it shows. I've used Logitech mice on my Mac, and they were never quite as smooth as Apple's own pointing devices. But this one breaks the mold. It's as smooth as a creamsicle shake.

Look at the photo comparing this MX Master 4 (pictured on the left) with its predecessor. They're almost the same shape, so if you're accustomed to the MX line, you'll feel perfectly comfortable with this. There are attributes of this new model you'll certainly like more than the old ones. In particular, I'm referring to the almost-silent clicks this one brings to the table. I like to have almost no noise in my workspace, and this is quite the godsend for me.

Beyond that, my favorite features of Logitech mice are right here. Even though all the new feats of strength this mouse can do are excellent, my favorite is still a classic: the way I can scroll slowly and feel the micro-clicks, but then if I want to scroll quickly, suddenly I have a flywheel. And, cursor movement can be accelerated on the fly, too. The software allows me to move the cursor slowly, and then if I make a quick movement, it accelerates. This lets me flick the cursor all the way across even a gigantic screen in no time flat.

Then there's the extensive customizability of this mouse. The place where I rest my thumb is now clickable, conjuring up a circle of macros appearing around the cursor. There are already numerous handy items available in that circle. Still, with this customizability, you can create your own macros or plug in pre-made sets for Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple Final Cut Pro. Nice. And as soon as my muscle memory catches up, this’ll save me a lot of time and effort.

Bravo Logitech! Finally, you've decided to make a mouse for the Mac, and it is a literally palpable improvement that I appreciate to no end. If you're a Logitech user, this is the most significant upgrade of the MX line yet. I recommend that you give it a try.

Highly recommend

The Logitech MX Master 4 is super comfortable and feels great for long hours of work. The new haptic feedback is smooth and satisfying, and the scrolling is incredibly fast and precise. USB-C charging is a big plus, and switching between devices with Bluetooth is effortless. Worth the money!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A powerful ergonomic mouse for work and productivity.

It is good to lie by the hand, it minimizes this in case of trival vikoristan. Shvidke scrolling and tactile sound makes the robot even more comfortable. The battery lasts a long time and is charged via USB-C. It works smoothly both via Bluetooth and with reception. Minus - not suitable for small hands and the price is high, but the brilliance is really true.

Great buy

The Logitech MX Master for Mac is a premium, ergonomic mouse designed specifically for macOS users, offering seamless connectivity, customizable buttons, and smooth scrolling that make it ideal for productivity and creative workflows. While it’s pricey and only suited for right-handed users, its comfort and performance make it worth the investment if you spend long hours working on your Mac.
