Works as it says it will. Its a little small. But great build quality feels solid. Kinda rough learning curve to program but plenty of YouTube out there on it.
Wish it came with button covers. It's size makes it easy to step on 2 buttons at once on accident.

Great second controller for M-VAVE effects processors. Many other uses too.
This wireless MIDI pedal is versatile enough to be used in quite a few different ways. You can use it as a page-turning switch, to control applications on your computer/phone/tablet, and it also natively works with M-Vave processors.
There is a desktop and phone app that you can use to configure the controller. I've used it before with other M-Vave products. While it's not particularly intuitive, it works fine. The manual is so-so. It's helpful if you know what you're doing already, but if you don't know much about MIDI, you'll need more info than the manual provides.
I have a M-Vave MK-300, and it worked perfectly with zero setup. I'm not kidding. I turned the MK-300's wireless on, then turned the Chocolate Plus on and bingo, they connected right away. That gives me the ability to both bank up and down, select presets AND turn individual effects on and off.
The footswitch is made of metal and feels very sturdy and solid. It should be durable enough to last quite a while.
I charged the battery when I first got it, and it's lasted 8 hours so far.
Do keep in mind that this does not have a direct MIDI out, so you can't directly connect it to other MIDI gear. The best uses for this would be to control software and apps, or to use with M-VAVE processors. If that matches your use case, I can certainly recommend it.

Great purchase and product for my project.
Bought Chocolate to use with ideaspark esp32 running paul hamshere "spark midi mvave" software. I already had an airstep spark edition pedal. Glad to find if I turned the units this order pedals work side by side: spark go, airstep, esp32, wait 60 secs, mvave. The mvave selects amp presets 1 thru 4. The airstep in mode 3 toggles each go effect on/off. Next is add esp32 midi din so line 6 hx effects can control amp models.

Perfect for what I need
So I have been using an iPad music app that allows me to inventory and easily page through the song as you are playing. The app supports MIDI which allows various Looper devices and footpedals to be used as page flippers. I had setup my Looper which supports MIDI to do this and it worked well, but the Looper is kind of big, requires power, and while it works it is clunky.
I saw this controller and realized it could be the perfect addition.
The pedal arrived in a super small package, which is great as it already hit one of my checkbox items, small. It was mostly charged when I received it, but I plugged it in and it charged up to full in a short time. The pedal has 4 buttons, Bluetooth, and wired interfaces, including a midi control port. For me, the best option is bluetooth as that lets me just put it on the floor, no wires, and quickly ready to use.
It paired perfectly with my iPad, I was able to integrate it into my music app in just a minute and then another minute later I was using two of the four pedals for forward and back paging my songs. This is *so* much better than using that Looper or the head nods (gestures) that the app supports.
The device can also be setup to extend the existing 3 pedals on my Looper, giving it 7. Another neat feature is that you can actually use it as a 6 pedal extension, the A/B and C/D pedals are close enough that you can press A/B or C/D at the same time and it simulates an E/F set of virtual pedals. So it really is 6 as it is easy to stomp A/B or just A or B.
The number of applications for this pedal are endless, but the small size lets me toss it in my hard case under the headstock area. I’m not sure how long the battery lasts yet, but it is a simple USBC 5V input so it can be charged with a portable battery/brick on the go.
There is a QR code on the bottom that takes you to a support site. There are some firmware updates, but I did notice some reviews saying the update from Android broke the device. There are some companion apps for IOS and Android, but the Android one requires you install it directly from the site (sideload) and not through the google store. I really try to avoid downloading anything that hasn’t been vetted via the Google Play store. This really isn’t an issue for my use case as the MIDI compatibility allows it to be used without having to resort to any proprietary app.
I would give this more *’s if I could.

Immensely powerful, but frustrating to set up
I'm giving this 5 stars, but there is one huge drawback. First the good...
I picked this up for use with my MVave Pocket Amp. It does an incredible job. I have it set to just be a selector for my patches. Buttons ABC and D select patches. E is A+B and F is C+D. E and F switch banks. It does this perfectly and wirelessly. There are many many many other modes and ways to set it up. It can control almost anything and the app menu options make it infinitely customizable. It comes with a fair amount of preset modes to get things started, but the magic is in the custom music midi settings that allow you to turn it into whatever you want. It's super compact and I can throw this whole baby rig into a gig bag pocket. It's made of metal and feels solid and even road worthy. Battery life is excellent and will make it through a long show or practice session without issue.
The bad part? The instructions are useless, and it is outrageously complicated to program. The app isn't bad, there's just no guidance on how to use it. If you're already a midi expert, maybe you won't have trouble. For me, I nearly gave up and trashed it. The setup process was painful at best. In the end, after hours of looking, I found a video online where someone walked through the setup process for the mode I was trying to program. It went smooth from there. It was not a video from MVave, and I'm not going to go through trying to explain how to do it because I just don't have the patience. All I can tell you is this probably can do what you want it to. If you've got a lot of midi experience you can probably figure it out. If you don't, be prepared to battle it for a while before you get what you want out of it. You'll be happy with it once you're through the programming, but it's gonna be a ride.

5* Great beginner friendly portable midi controller.
I've never used a midi controller before this chocolate plus. Yet within about 10 minutes I was using it seamlessly on my Sonicake Pocket Master to turn on and off individual effects in my patch! Yes, just what I needed!
I will admit that it did require looking up setup online, it's not as simple as plug and play. But there are many guides out there explaining how you can make this awesome little device compatible with your multi effect unit. I think its compatible with most of the multi effects units on the market in fact, you should look up your midi compatible device plus the Chocolate Plus i bet you'll find useful guides.
Setup with the Pocket Master:
For my use it required downloading the free MVave Cubesuit App from Android marketplace. Pairing Bluetooth from my phone (Samsung S24) to the Chocolate Plus. Plugging the included usb cable into host mode on the Chocolate Plus and the other end into my Pocketmaster data port (the one without the charging symbol). Setting the values of the effect banks within the Chocolate Plus in the app and voila your rocking and rolling. It's very simple I think anyone familiar with a cell phone could set it up as well.
The Chocolate Plus seems to be of good quality, the footswitches aren't too loud or clunky sounding, less clicky than some cheap switches I've encountered. The footswitches also take standard footswitch toppers if you want to set it up with different colors for different effects or foot protection for barefoot playing. The metal enclosure is solid lightweight aluminum from the looks of things... as long as you don't jump up and down on it, stomping like a caveman this thing should last a long time. Battery life is good around 3 to 4 hours, which matches up perfectly with my Pocket Master. So now I have a great little 100 dollar pocket rig that doesn't have to be plugged in and can run on battery for 3+ hours at a time. Sweet! You can literally fit this entire rig in a pair of skinny jeans pockets this setup is so small. Or in your guitar case as a backup to your main rig. These things are great value in the world when we could all use a little more for our money, in this case you get a lot!

Compact and versatile MIDI footswitch that does the job well
I’ve been using the M-VAVE Chocolate Plus MIDI footswitch for a bit now, mainly for controlling software and MIDI functions, and overall it’s a solid little controller for the price. The biggest advantage is how compact and portable it is. It doesn’t take up much space, which makes it easy to throw into a backpack or keep on a small pedalboard setup.
The four footswitches feel responsive and consistent when pressed. They’re not overly stiff, but they also don’t feel cheap or flimsy. I like that each button can be customized, and the app control makes it fairly flexible once you get everything set up. Pairing and configuration took a little time at first, especially if you’re new to MIDI, but after that it’s been reliable.
Build quality is decent for a lightweight pedal. It’s not a heavy-duty metal tank like some high-end controllers, but it feels sturdy enough for normal use. The USB connectivity works well, and I haven’t had issues with dropped connections during sessions.

Rock, solid, small footprint, midi pedal!
This is a super solid, steel midi foot switch pedal that has a very small footprint and would be ideal for any guitar set up keyboard, etc. When you use midi it is nice to have these options and gives you good control of the different sounds.
Pros
Well-made
Small
Good for a pedal board
Good looking
Cons
None that I can see
As compared to most midi controllers, this definitely is a plus and that it’s solid and does not feel like it’s going to break easily as it’s made of steel and the fact that it has a small footprint helps from a pedal board set up.
For these reasons, I give it a five star rating.

Constructed to Survive Playing Gigs
I ordered this footswitch to take on the road for some gigs, and it did not disappoint. The clear display and bright LEDs make it simple to read presets at a glance, even in dim stage lighting or when you're moving around during a set.
It's lightweight, which is a huge plus when you're hauling gear to gigs or jamming on the fly. Despite the low weight, it feels built to last with solid construction. Programming and customization are straightforward thanks to the app, which is genuinely easy to use. I really appreciate uncomplicated things for gigs.. You can quickly assign MIDI commands or tweak settings. Whether I'm controlling amp channels, looper functions, or plugin parameters, setup takes minutes rather than hours.
If you're after an affordable, MIDI foot controller that's portable, durable, and gig-ready without unnecessary complexity, the Chocolate Plus is a fantastic choice.

The best Midi Footswitch available in this price range, hands down.
I have used these Chocolate Plus controllers in my various guitar rigs and pedal boards since I learned about them last spring. M-VAVE has designed a durable, low profile switcher that is easily programmed work with anything that accepts midi commands. I’ve used this controller successfully with a Friedman IR-X, a Line 6 DL4 MKII, a UAD OX Stomp Pedal, a Neural DSP Nano cortex, Sonicake Pocket Master and DAW control for Logic Pro for punch-ins.
The mobile application used to program can be a bit clunky to use at times and it randomly closes, but the PC application works perfectly. This Chocolate Plus works in host mode too however, you have to have USB power plugged into it and run out of the USB A “host out” port into a device that accepts midi over USB. I use a USB-A male to USB-C female adapter with a right angled USB-C cable so I can route the USB cable away to the right or left coming out of the host port. This is effective because it prevents the cable from hitting the pedal enclosures in front of it but also allows clearance for the input USB port. It also looks much cleaner and I feel it’s a lot less likely to come unplugged during a gig this way.
The switches are extremely durable and the enclosure is made of metal and thinner than most pedals. this actually works out really well because if you place this in the first row of a pedal board it doesn’t impede access to pedals that are placed directly above or ahead of it. I’ve been aggressively stepping on one of these daily since last spring and it’s performed admirably. I actually have another one of these on order from another retailer to pair with another pedal rig so I’ll have one for each device. The price is so good for the myriad of uses and versatility and I will keep using these as long as they continue to meet my needs.

Worth every penny
Overall, bumping my rating to 4.5 out of 5 stars now. The added ruggedness and app depth make it punch above its weight for a portable MIDI controller, especially for folks in Pennsylvania winters where gear gets knocked around (cold garages, anyone?).
Build and Design:
This thing's tougher than it looks in photos. The steel casing gives it a solid, road-worthy feel—definitely not plasticky; it's hefty enough to stay put on the floor during energetic stomps but still portable for tossing in a backpack. Those push controls (the footswitches) are made of steel too, with a sturdy, responsive click that holds up well—no wobble or cheap flex after repeated use in my practice sessions. The layout includes the four buttons (A, B, C, D), a bright LED display for presets (like "001" or bank numbers), and ports for USB host/device switching. The chocolate-brown finish ties into the name, and with the app's "Smart and convenient" vibe showing multiple modes, it feels thoughtfully designed for customization without overwhelming you.
Setup and Connectivity:
Plug-and-play remains a breeze—USB compatible straight to my laptop or tablet, powering up quick with no hiccups. The app control is where it shines; from the screenshots, it's clear you get personalized customization across modes like program change (A/B for switching patches), advanced custom mode (with max group counts up to 27 or 8), and even touch screen options for Android. I set it up to send MIDI on specific channels, toggle effects like modulation or reverb via footswitch A/B, and use bank MIDI for preset navigation. In keyboard mode, it emulates multi-media keys or even a mini controller for DAW shortcuts. App integration feels intuitive—editing on my phone while connected, saving configs for different gigs. Portability is spot-on; it's compact, and the steel build means it survives being carried around without worry.
Performance in Action:
In use, the multiple modes add serious flexibility. For example, in custom mode, I programmed footswitch C for breath control simulation in synth patches and D for undo in looping software—super handy during live jams. The display keeps things clear, showing current settings like MIDI channel +1 or footswitch assignments. Switching between manufacturer control (for specific gear) and keyboard mode (A/B for media playback) was seamless, and the personalization lets you tweak everything from send commands to group counts. Latency is negligible over USB, and the sturdy steel switches handle heavy footwork without missing a beat. I've used it for everything from guitar effects chaining to controlling virtual instruments, and it adapts well—feels like a mini command center at your feet.
Downsides:
Still, four buttons might limit complex rigs; if you're deep into multi-effect setups, you could max out quickly despite the group counts helping with banking. The app looks Android-focused in the shots (with touch screen mentions), so iOS users might miss out on some finesse, though basic control works cross-platform. Display is functional but small—great for quick checks, but in dim lighting, you'd want it brighter. No built-in battery mentioned, so USB dependency could be a drag for fully wireless setups, though the steel construction at least ensures it won't break if you trip over a cable.
In summary, with the steel casing and robust push controls, this Chocolate Plus feels like a reliable workhorse for MIDI foot control—app modes and customization make it versatile for home studios or small gigs. It's earned a spot in my regular rotation; if you're in New Castle tweaking setups in the cold, this could be a solid, durable pick without the premium price tag. Worth retrying if your first impression was iffy!

Works with the Valeton GP-5 really well
I got this to try it with the Valeton GP-5 and I am really glad I did. It's easy to program, look up youtibe videos to see how. I made 4 banks of 4 presets each. This midi controller really makes my pedal more useful. Please note - I am not a huge midi/software guy and I had no issues setting it up so I wanted to share my experience.

Do not buy. The software is not on Google Play. When you install you get a security alert.
I have no idea if this product even works. It states that it's connectivity is USB but neither my tablet or laptop see the USB connection. I bought this for a USB connection. The manual is terrible and explains nothing. The Android software is not available in the Google Play Store. You have to download the APK file and when you try to install it, you get a security error. I've had Android for over 10 years and never saw this security warning before. DO NOT INSTALL ON ANDROID; EVEN IF YOU KNOW A WORKAROUND! Do not buy this product! Oh, and for MIDI, without the software, you can't configure it. My router blocks a lot of foreign countries and China (Hong Kong) is at the top of the list. The software is hosted in Hong Kong. Don't even install the Mac or Windows version. DO NOT TRUST M-VAVE!

Update: Solid construction but poor documentation
Update: I was setting this device up with my phone. The confusing Android app and inconsistent Bluetooth connection were a problem. Even at less than 1 foot range the connection often drops. So after giving up on the wireless aspect I went to hard wired and it actually works. Setting it up with the PC app over USB is better. Windows 11 gave me a warning not to run the app, but it does work. Finally using it with a TRS midi cable the connection is solid and this device functions well. Raising the rating to 3 stars.
This 4 button midi controller is solidly built and has some good features. The app is not so good and the documentation for the app and the hardware is poor. After a lot of trial and error was able to get it to connect via bluetooth to my guitar amp modeler and send some midi cc commands. I've set up midi devices before and this was the most difficult to figure out. Also the bluetooth connection is flaky. It drops connection often, and the range is less than 10 feet. The connection is not persistent either. On startup I need to repeat the pairing process to get a connection. I ordered this to replace my existing 3 button midi controller, but this midi switch is not reliable.

Amazing Affordable MIDI
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing MIDI Controller – Perfect for Any Setup!
10/8/2025 UPDATE: I am STILL using this product everyday! The battery life is amazing, the unit is made of metal and very well built. Never had a problem with it dropping out or stop working.
The Hoerev MIDI Controller is an absolute gem! The build quality is solid, the keys and pads are super responsive, and it integrates seamlessly with my DAW. Whether you're using it for live performances or studio work, this controller delivers.
The compact design makes it easy to transport, yet it still feels professional. The assignable knobs and faders are a great touch, giving you plenty of control over your sounds. Setup was a breeze, and it works flawlessly with both Mac and PC.
For the price, you really can't beat it. If you're looking for a reliable, versatile, and affordable MIDI controller, this is the one! Highly recommend!
