Low Latency But Could Be Louder

First, I need to comment about the minuscule size of instructions this company uses which, for me at least, is nearly impossible to read and which I found extremely annoying. This is the second product I have received from them and both instruction manuals are so small, I literally had to photograph them with my phone, then blow them up large enough to read. Fortunately, I do have some experience using devices like this, and set up was relatively straight forward, so I was able to set it up and use it. I don't know what they're thinking, but you don't get extra points for being able to print your entire instruction manual on a grain of sand. If you want people to be able use your products successfully and reduce the number of problems due to user error, make your instructions large enough so that people don't have to use a microscope to read them.

Anyway, aside from that, I was able to charge the transmitter and receivers and connect them to my mixer. However, only one of the two receivers was able to successfully pair with the transmitter and I could not get the second one to work. But, since I only need one, I just went ahead and put it through its paces.

One thing I will mention is that, while it is nice how small these are, most professional sound equipment, particularly mixers, require at least 1/4 connections for most of their outputs, and some even XLR. This uses a mini jack, so I had to connect it to my headphone output on my mixer by way of an adapter in order to make it work.

That said, it the one working receiver was able to pair with the transmitter and the resulting sound was true to the output. I didn't notice any significant latency, and the signal was consistent. I wasn't able to get as much volume out of it as I would have liked, but it was probably sufficient for most situations.

I'm not sure how effective these would be in a practice room situation with a full band but a lot of that depends on the actual earbuds or headphones you're using with it.

I can't speak to whether the other receiver that I was unable to get working was defective or not, but the one that did work was reasonably good sounding and, assuming in most cases you will get two working receivers, these are reasonably priced.

But, given my actual experience with them, all things considered, I can't give them more than 3 stars.

Bluetooth Replacement

Why did you pick this product vs others?:

Picked this up thinking it would be small monitor speakers for live performances, but this is actually basically a replacement for Bluetooth if you find Bluetooth has too much latency lag time, or if you don’t have Bluetooth or want to use wired headphones for monitoring. You need to use an AUX cable (not included in this package) to plug it into your DAW or laptop or soundboard or phone but whatever you plug it into does need a headphone jack as there is no other way to connect this. It will not connect wirelessly. Then you take one of the clips and plug your headphones into the clip which means you need wired headphones too, and specifically wired headphones with the AUX plug or again, the small monitor transmitter won’t work.

This is probably mainly going to be useful for someone who is doing live mixing and concerned about lag time, but for the average user who has Bluetooth and is fine with using it, it might not be super useful as these are not actual monitor speakers.

Weight:

Very lightweight and portable. I’ve taken a photo comparing it to a pen for size reference.

Quality:

Good construction and quality.

Functionality:

This will be good mainly for producers concerned about lag time for live recording, or if you are a musician doing a live and already own monitor speakers in which case, this can plug in and you can have a further space between your monitor speaker and wherever your digital workspace is as this has transmission up to 30 meters.

These are SMALL!

I got these not expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. First off, they are much smaller than I expected and much smaller than any of the other wireless in ear monitors that I have used. The quality seems to be very good with a rubberized finish; they pair as soon as you fire them up and will fit just about anywhere for a concealed look. I struggled to find out what inputs it used online so I included a good pic of the backside. It will charge and input thru the usb-c port and it also has a 3.5mm jack that I used to attach to a sound mixer. The sound quality is pretty good, and the latency is not really detectable. I mean for the money it is perfect for small gigs just to hear what is going on. It does come with two receiver's and could be used as monitors for hearing impaired which is what I am going to use them for at our church. Great little utility set of IEMs that won't break the bank.

Impressive Value for Budget-Friendly Wireless Monitoring

I picked up this M-VAVE in-ear monitor system for home recording and small live gigs, and I’m honestly surprised by how well it performs for the price. Pairing was fast and simple—the transmitter and receivers synced instantly right out of the charging case. Sound quality is clear with barely any noticeable latency, which is a big win for real-time monitoring. I like the compact, lightweight design of the receivers; they clip easily to my belt or pocket. Battery life seems solid so far too. While it’s not on par with pro-grade systems, for casual use or smaller setups, this is a great and affordable alternative.
