Opened a six set video podcast studio in October of 2024 and the DLZ has recorded hundreds of hours flawlessly. Our two favorite mics are the RODE PODMIC and the Zoom ZDM-1. The output to the BLACKMAGIC ATEM Pro works perfectly and the backup multi track from the DLZ has saved us a few times. Perfect for the beginner with the option to let the DLZ do the work, as you learn the features you unlock take the recording to the next level.

I installed this mixer in one of our studios as an experiment to see how it would compare to the Rodecaster Pro & ProII that we have in several other settings. I'm pleased to say that it's done well. The build quality is solid and an upgrade from the plastic-y feel of the Rode product. Based on my experience, the Mackie DLZ interfaces with other rack gear much easier than the Rodecaster. Several of the preamps in the rack pictured below are running into the DLZ and the audio I get is very clean. I'm hoping that Rode's parent company, which just acquired Mackie, keeps this mixer in production. I'm also hoping that Rode addresses the QC issues they have in their very successful Rodecaster Pro gear. Currently, I have 3 Rodecasters that I need to send back for various issues.

Pretty furious about this. I bought this “new” but was sent a unit which had already been opened: the box seal was broken and the mixer plastic had already been ripped open as well. Considering this was “new” that is unacceptable.
When I plugged it in, it continued clicking but never sprang to life. It was completely dead.
What’s going on over there? I’d like to try a new unit but now I missed the discounted price. Pretty terrible all around.

Check this video before to buy this digital mixer, I buy this mixer and that it’s screen is not working. I had to return, well buy a second one and the second one is working very good I just to know you maybe you going to have this problem. Good luck my friend.

This product does everything a YouTuber, podcast or streamer is looking for. It is easy to setup and even easier to use. It’s fully customizable and that makes it a great buy. The big 10” screen makes it even easier to use because you get your levels and some digital dials on there. If you ask me this was an excellent buy!

only had to use it once to know the quality of this product, the versatility alone is the value but to be fair in my critique developers could have pre-set the EQ for lower quality mics so that the volume of the audio is higher and crisp for those that have not yet upgraded their microphones. That's the only reason for 4 stars otherwise two thumbs up on this one.
