Connection impossible or so hard.

Iphone, mac never recognize rx at all. Even direct connection doesn’t work. Even i tried one more time by new device. Still never make it connected.

Kept showing that screen forever.

Updated review: Maono customer service reached out to me, and tried to help trouble shoot the problems, they were Quik to respond and very helpful. Although i could not get the mic to work with Ai voice changer, they thought it might be my operating software on my MacBook Pro. Give it a try it might work for you, they have excellent customer service to help out if needed. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for me, but it may for you.

Mic sounds ok, Bluetooth connectivity not the greatest. Ai voice changer and a lot of other things in the software not working! It has a really yellow tint on the RGB lights they are not the colors they show in the software the photo is on the white setting, just invest in a name brand mic, and companies that stand behind their products! Would not recommend!

Mic has great build and sound quality. Also has good features like RGB and tap to mute, along with an app which isn't bothersome. Built in noise cancellation is also useful and works well.

Great Quality Gaming/Streaming Mic

This mic is the perfect addition to my gaming setup! It was very easy to set up since I could just plug in the usb-c dongle to my pc or phone to use it wireless or use a usb-c cable to use it wired. The software is very straight forward when it comes to adjusting the sound of the microphone, color customization, and using the ai voices. I love the ai voices they add such a fun addition to the microphone! I have been using this mic for mostly casual gaming and I have received several compliments from people about the sound quality. If you are looking for something that's user friendly, high quality, and convenient this is the one for you :)

Easy set-up 👏

This Maono DM40 Pro Microphone is great. It was very simple to connect and get up and running. This mic is not compatible with a Mac. A number of other Maono mics are cross compatible with Mac and PC. That was ok, because I planned on using this with my Windows machine anyways. Just thought I'd mention in case any Mac users are reading this review. The software was very easy to install and self explanatory. The controls can be adjusted with either the software interface or on the Microphone itself. A number of customizations are available, including pre-configured settings based on what you are doing... gaming, streaming, etc. You can also change the RGB lighting to your preferred color. They also have a AI Voice capability. There are 10 free voices you can use. They are OK, but not outstanding. AI Voice changer wasn’t the main reason I picked this mic up, but it’s a cool feature to play with. This mic also has wireless capability which is great if you don’t want cords stretching across your desk The only negative I have to say is the wireless dongle comes with an adapter but they didn’t accommodate a place to store it when not in use. The wireless dongle fits into a slot on the microphone itself when not in use. The adapter doesn’t fit there, nor did I find any place else to store it.🤷‍♀️ It’s small and could be misplaced or lost over time so I have to be careful. Even though I say that is a negative, I still give this 5/5 stars.

The Perfect Addition For Your Content Creation Setup!

I've tested MAONO products before and have consistently found them to be of great quality at a decent price point. This wireless mic is NO exception! Let's face it - we're living in a wireless world at this point, and this wireless mic is right on time for the needs of many content creators. Please note: this does NOT have XLR connectors. You can either connect this mic via USB or Bluetooth. This mic works well in OBS as well as apps such as Adobe Audition and Audacity (not sure how or if this mic will fit the needs of the producer in a DAW environment).

This condenser mic is a lot more sensitive than your typical dynamic mic, so the sound quality is going to be a bit better than usual. As this is very sensitive, this mic comes with noise reduction capabilities built right into the mic. It comes with a desktop stand as well as two dongles: USB-A and USB-C for full USB compatibility. To add a bit of fun to this experience, this wireless condenser mic comes with configurable RGB lights which leads to another awesome feature of this mic: the software!

The software is where this mic truly gets to shine - you can use the AI software to change your voice (the voice changing could use some improvement) and change the lights, personalizing it to suit your tastes.

Altogether, this is a great wireless condenser mic for the price, and is an awesome addition to any content creation setup!

Great Mic with functional and fun features

I had been shopping around for a while for a microphone and I was specifically looking for something wireless. I wanted to be able to move around my gaming area and out of the room and still be able to chat with my friends. This solved my problem for the mic but had to figure out a solution for my headphones being wired...well this microphone solved that too. it was a mic jack for mic volume monitoring but it also transmits my game audio so now the only "problem" is the wire connecting me to the mic but i have a 9 foot cord so its not that big of an issue.

The quick mute button and noise cancellation buttons are a nice feature because where i play is pretty quiet but outside of my gaming room can be a bit loud so its a quick adjustment. and the ai voices are a fun bonus. quality is not superior but it is built nice

Impressive Wireless Mic with Clear Audio and Long Battery Life

According to the product info, this mic is almost identical to the DM40, but with three key upgrades: a larger pickup, longer battery life, and customizable LED colors. After testing, I can say the audio is definitely a step up. My voice sounds deeper and fuller, and background sounds are more defined. It's a noticeable improvement over other mics in this price range, including my similarly priced wired USB mic from a big-name brand.

The battery life is another standout—it lasts long enough to be a real wired mic replacement. That said, I do wish the battery indicator was better. Right now, it only gives a rough idea of charge level: under 20%, full, or somewhere in between. A four-LED indicator would make it easier to keep an eye on power during longer sessions.

Minor gripe aside, this is a solid, well-performing mic that’s going to become my new go-to.

Very easy to set up. Good quality sound.

I am very pleased with the quality of this microphone. It is so easy to set up and start using. It has good, clear sound. The sound is best with the mic up close to you and the pop filter right in line with your face. The mic is adjustable, moving it backwards and forwards. It comes with a charging cord, manual, USB C receiver, and USB A adapter. It has software that you can use as well for extra fine-tuning, but I didn't need it. I am using this mic with my iPhone, and I can do everything I need to, as is. I use an adapter (I show it in my review), so that I can connect this with my iPhone 11 (lightning port). This microphone gets an A+ from me for everyday use creating videos and content!

Visually cool wireless mic with a tone of features!

First and foremost, the absolute best feature of this microphone is that it's completely wireless! You plug in the wireless USB-C receiver (my fourth picture with the orange sticker on it), turn on the mic, and talk/sing away! I originally thought the receiver could do data passthrough but it can only do charging passthrough, but that's not a big deal. I also love how there's a spot in the mic stand to hold the receiver! I'm going to keep my receiver plugged in to my computer but that's a great feature to include. It's easy to tell that quite a bit of thought and design went into this cool little device!

In the box, you receive the mic on the stand, wireless receiver, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, USB-C charging cable to charge the mic, and two sets of instructions (one for the mic in general and the other for the AI features). On the bottom of the mic, there's the power button (long press to turn the mic on/off and short press to change the light setting), an audio port for headphone monitoring (with on/off switch for that feature), and a USB-C charging port. While you're charging the mic, the front light flashes orange and turns green when it has finished charging. On the top of the mic, there's a place to mute and unmute. It's not a physical button, just a touch-sensitive area, but again, a great feature!

I also tested out the wireless functionality. Honestly, it sounded great (and I'm a professional musician, with music degrees to go along with it)! My voice had a nice bass level and there were no cracks or static in the voice recording! In the instructions, it talks about an AI voice changer feature but I haven't had a chance to test that out yet. It sounds really neat and a unique feature but not the reason I ordered this device (it was the wireless functionality that won me over).

This is an amazing wireless microphone and I can't wait to use it more in the coming weeks!

Easy to hook up

This was a nice upgrade for my podcast. I felt like the sound quality is so much better and hands free is great but also have something in front of me to ground me is nice.
