Auto hourly reconnect is nowhere near stable
I bought it for the feature that it could hourly reconnect on its own. I managed to do it twice, after that it's been total hell. As many others have noted on the app store reviews, the app that was created for the device rarely maintains a stable connection. Once you open other apps it normally just resets & has you connect to the device all over again.
The pros: 1. Has a fancy wireless pad to just drop it on to charge
2. Can connect to two devices (although performance is slower than what I remember from previous models & other auto catchers)
3. Gives you some nice statistics on what it managed to do for you in the background (if you care for that kind of thing)
4. Rechargeable built in battery (I do miss the AA battery version since I already had rechargeable batteries to swap if I needed it for hours)
I wish I could give it a better score but performance & the app failing to be stable is just Not Acceptable on a device over $100. Galaxy fold 8/Galaxy s26 ultra

It works.
We’ve been using this device daily for a little over a month now and here are some things we noticed. It does tend to disconnect more frequently when there are two player connected to it but disconnects are not always an issue. We have had disconnects every few minutes and other times it does not disconnect for nearly an hour. I believe it may depend on what else around us is trying to connect to our phones, we have BT printers, EarPods around the house.
The biggest grievance we have is the app that used used to make changes to the device. The app has a “call Device” feature that we tried to use when we misplaced the the auto catcher however when you open the app it needs you to press any of the two buttons on the device in order for the app to connect to the device. So if you can’t find the device you can’t connect the app to use the Call device feature to help find it.
Other than that it’s worth the money. I did take some time to add red paint to the on/off impressions because we couldn’t see it in low light. We also added dots on the face of the device in order to distinguish between 1st and 2nd player.

Decent Device
I’d say it was very simple to setup, the battery life is very good, lasting over a day (so far) of use. I’ve left it on all night and it was still above half battery. It feels good for the quality of its material.
Edit: the magnetic charging port for the USB-C absolutely sucks. I’ve used multiple NEW USB-C cords to use the magnetic charging and you have to JAM it in there for it to work so I’m disappointed in that. I feel the quality should’ve been better for the money you’re paying for it.

The Little DuoMon that Could
This Megacom DouMon3 PRO is awesome! I bought this to help my Pokémon go account, and this has exceeded my expirations! It’s small and compact so you can take on the go and doesn’t heat up. Surpassingly last a long time too. I’m talking like 2+ hours, I have yet for it to die. Comes with a case that can hold the charger cable it comes with, the pod, its charger for the pod and other little items too. It connects super easy to the Pokémon go app and occasionally may disconnect but that’s just so you don’t forget it’s left on. Overall the value for this is on point, as it’s not over priced but reasonable for everything you’re getting.

100$ to break my game
Automatic reconnecting goes against Niantic rules and can lead to a ban... also the feature didnt even work and for some reason. Despite not even being able to use the feature. As soon as i started Using the 3rd party app.... i can't log back into my account now! 100$ to ruin my game, YAY

Works the best for IOS
Works great for iPhone, can spin stops at 40mph. On a Google pixel it doesn’t work nearly as well. The autocatcher does wonder. Only true flaw we have came into is that it will say item bag is full when it’s not. We discover it’s a glitch and have to mess with the settings.

I don’t recommend
Ive now watched and taken count of over 200 attempted catches and over 66% ran away. Pokemon will be within its “zone” and it wont even attempt to catch them

Magnetic wireless charging works
I love the option to magnetic wireless charge the device. Also the option to turn off the flashing lights and vibrations thru the Megacom center app. I was able to connect to 2 accounts on my Galaxy phone split screen mode and reconnecting back no problem.
Caution: The lanyard is very fragile and snap easily while hanging on my backpack. Luckily picked up the duomon3 immediately.
