A mi gusto mantiene lindos colores

Me gustó

💪💪💪💪✌️✌️✌️

Images look great on a crop sensor, autofocus motor slower than OEM lenses

The first thing you should know is that I used this lens with a crop sensor (A6300) Sony e-mount camera, so the sensor was not pushing the absolute edges of the lens. [Most issues would show up at the edges.] So if you have a full frame E-Mount camera, this review may not apply at all to you.

However, if you have a crop sensor camera like me, the attached images will be a good approximation of what you can expect with this lens.

The second thing you should know is that I don't consider myself qualified to notice small issues with the lens, as I am not a professional photographer. In my opinion, the images made by this lens look fine, and equivalent to those taken by my OEM 55-210 zoom lens at the 55 setting. [As a crop sensor camera, this 35mm lens is roughly a 50mm lens for my camera.]

The big difference I noticed was in the speed of the autofocus motor. It works fine, the lens auto-focuses just fine, but the speed is about 1/2 of that of my OEM Sony lenses. This really isn't a problem, as the OEM lenses are very quick, so 1/2 speed of that is still relatively fast. Unless you are trying to shoot birds in flight, or sporting events, I don't think the autofocus speed would be an issue for you.

I was able to get good depth of focus control with a large aperture setting, or in good lighting I could dial the aperture down small to keep everything in focus. I used this lens to shoot video of my son's musical in a middle school theater with less than ideal lighting, and it worked like a champ.

Amazing lens for the price

Lens is super sharp even wide open. Bokeh is nicer than expected for a 35mm lens. Autofocus was fast and accurate and worked well for video. Autofocus selection switch is tight and clicks in place.Pro and con is lens is plastic. Feel a bit fragile so I'd avoid dropping or banging it around but also a pro as it's super lightweight.

Nice prime lens for a Sony a7

I picked up this 35mm F2.0 for my Sony A7ii, and I've been very happy with the photos it produces. The lens feels well-built with a metal mount, but still lightweight and doesn’t add much bulk to the camera. It is mostly made of plastic but feels very solid with a slip focus ring for manual focus.

The autofocus is pretty quick and quiet, and been great for both stills and video. Images come out sharp in the center, and the 2.0 aperture gives a nice background bokeh. There’s some slight softness at the edges, but it’s nothing that bothers me for day-to-day shooting and is not really a problem for most purposes.

Overall, this lens is a great deal, especially for the price.

Pros:

Lightweight and solid

Quiet autofocus

Good sharpness and bokeh

Affordable

Cons:

A little softness around the edges

Excellent budget priced performance and image quality

The Meike 35mm F2.0 Auto Focus Full Frame STM lens for Sony E mount cameras is an excellent budget priced lens. Although it is rated for use on full frame Sony cameras I ordered it to use on my Sony a6400 APS-C format camera. Early days results have been great. Focusing is fast and also silent. There was no hesitation in focus object shifting. The AF/MF switch is very handy, and well located. Manual focus was excellent with no lag.

I made some test photos, attached here, at both f/2.0 and f/5.6, which include detail area images cropped from the extreme left hand part of the frame. Although Affinity Photo did not have a lens profile yet for this lens it did not seem to need it as straight edges showed no bowing or curving. Lens mount finish is more than adequate, although I would have preferred a different gripping surface than the fine ribbed surround that, as on many Sigma lenses, attracts dirt and is hard to clean. My only complaint is a generic one, that lenses in general have become gigantic. This 35mm lens is as huge as one once would have expected a 135mm telephoto to be. That said it is an excellent performer at the price. We like it!

Great little 35mm

Great focal length for street photography that doesn't break the bank. Very lightweight due to plastic construction but still feels solidly made. So light it hardly feels like it's even on the body! Quite fast autofocus and great bokeh at F/2.0. First three shots are of the lens itself, last two shots were taken with the lens @ F/2.0 with a Sony A7iii. This lens is a great value at $200, only real competitors at this price range are the Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens ($314) and the Tamron 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD ($199). The Sigma is faster but $114 more expensive, while the Tamron is the same price but a full stop slower.

Great quality with amazing price

This is a budget-friendly lens that I’ve been using with my A7C2 camera for 2 days. I find it to be an excellent choice for an everyday walk-around lens.

Pros:

1. Price – For under $200, you get a full-frame 35mm lens with a wide aperture.

2. Build Quality – The lens feels great to the touch, with a slight matte finish. The aperture ring has a smooth rotation, which adds to the overall premium feel.

3. Sharpness – The lens offers impressive center sharpness.

4. Portability – The weight is well controlled, making it highly portable and easy to carry around.

Cons:

1. Length – Despite its lightweight design, the lens is a bit long. When paired with the camera, it doesn’t quite fit into a pocket like the 40mm 2.5G.

2. Chromatic Aberration – Compared to the original 35mm f/1.8 lens, there is some minor purple fringing in certain conditions.

Summary: This lens offers outstanding value, providing about 90% of the performance of the original 35mm f/1.8 lens for under $200. I highly recommend it for budget-conscious photographers. However, if you have a more flexible budget, the original 35mm f/1.4 G is a solid upgrade. It offers even better image quality and comes closer to G Master lens standards—but at a price of around $1,300.
