A very high quality presence sensor that is well worth the money!
When I first read about presence sensors it seemed like a solution in search of a problem. I have a smart home setup using Home Assistant with over 60 devices and I wasn't sure where a presence sensor would fit in.
I first tried a product from a different company and disliked it pretty quickly. It was flimsy and not well made. After coming across a review of the meross Presence sensor I decided to give it a try, and I'm very glad that I did.
It is a high quality device with excellent craftsmanship. I could tell the difference from my first purchase immediately. Setup was very simple and I added it to my system as a matter device. To be honest, I wasn't sure at first how I would incorporate it in my smart home but after tinkering with it a bit I setup an automation in Home Assistant to turn on some lights in my house when I get up at night for a snack. What sets it apart from a motion sensor is that it picks up on me sitting on my couch and doesn't turn the lights back off until my presence is no longer noted. It picks up on your presence very quickly and I no longer have to worry about stumbling around in the dark.
If you are looking at purchasing the meross Presence sensor but aren't sure if you really need it, my advice would be to make the purchase. You won't regret it.

Incredible sensitivity and responsiveness - with a little "foil" engineering
I’ve deployed the Meross MS600 in two main bathrooms and now plan to use another for my garage, and its performance is impressive for specific use cases. It primarily focuses on presence detection and illuminance, and while it lacks the complex zone-dependent automation found in higher-end units, it excels at what it’s built for.
These sensors are highly sensitive. I mounted one at a specific height on a wall shared with a high-traffic hallway, and it was originally picking up presence from people walking outside the bathroom. After some research, I added a sheet of aluminum foil behind the sensor to block the signal from penetrating the back wall. It worked perfectly. If you have "ghosting" through drywall, try shielding it before giving up.
One of the best features is that it successfully detects presence inside the bathtub, even though the tub is behind a partition wall. This saved me from needing a second sensor just for the tub area.

Great for keeping the garage lights on when needed
This was sitting idle for a while, but I recently started using the Meross presence sensor in my garage, and it has been working really well. It keeps the lights on while my kids are playing and turns them off when no one is around, which is exactly what I needed. The detection is reliable, and I never have to worry about the lights switching off unexpectedly. A simple but very useful device!

A reasonablly good presence sensor
The sensor is well designed in a compact form factor. It allows one to adjust where it points to easily. Like many already pointed out, I wish it can be battery powered and that will make its usage a lot more flexible. The sensor functions well although not perfect, I do see occasional false detection/fail to detect occasionally (most presence sensors have this issue). I am impressed with the Matter integration that makes it very easy to connect with a scan of the QR code. I do like its environment learning function that will allow it to avoid false detection for a static object, such as a piece of furniture.

Lack of attention to detail
Losses blue tooth connection constantly.
Smart things app will not allow me to set a illumination range for triggers.
Merros app and smartthings app does not display coherent illumination data. i.e Smart things shows max illumination to be 100000 with a reading of 126 showing in the middle of the range (see pic). While the meros app shows 7 / 127...dont even know what this means.

Good addition to any wifi device user
This is an excellent addition to our smart house. We have been actively using a lot of Merros devices-every single one has made our life easier.
This is a very sturdy device also.

A neat device with many uses.
Such a cool device that with many use cases when integrated with the rest of a smart home. I use Apple HomeKit and have been able to do some cool things like presence detection in a room that isn't used frequently. When someone enters this room it'll automatically set my thermostat to a comfortable state. When I leave it will automatically set the air to an energy saving state. Also I've had the item use occupancy capabilities to where if it detect I left the room it will pause my tv and when I come back, play the tv where I left off.

Good sensor, bad power usb adapter.
The power usb adapter failed after 2 days. But the sensor is ok.

Frustrating Setup and Useless Performance
This Melross sensor has been a complete disappointment. I spent over two hours trying to install it, and despite repeated attempts, it simply does not work properly. The installation process was one of the most difficult I’ve experienced with any smart home device. While it now detects motion, it fails to trigger any action, and connecting it with Alexa has been nothing short of a nightmare.
I have extensive experience setting up smart devices, but this was by far one of the worst. I was misled by overly positive YouTube videos and glowing reviews suggesting that installation was easy. In hindsight, I should have paid more attention to the few negative reviews that described the exact same issues I’m now facing.
My honest recommendation: avoid this product entirely. It’s not worth the time, frustration, or effort.

Presence sensor for similar price to PIR sensor
Great presence sensor for $30. It does not determine your position in the room like the $80+ sensors but at nearly 1/3 the price it's a good alternative if you don't need that feature. Swivel stand is a nice feature.
I use this like a fancier PIR sensor with the big plus that I can sit in a room without having to wave my arms every 10 mins.

Very nice sensor, easy to set up and use.
This presence sensor was very easy to set up thanks to Matter compatibility. I am able to integrate it into Apple Homekit as well as Home Assistant, settings and calibration can be accessed in the Meross app. I really like that it senses human presence even if I am sitting still at my desk which makes it much more useful than a simple motion detector. I have it linked to a Homekit automation that turns my office lights on when I enter the room, then off again 30 seconds after I leave. So far it is working flawlessly. Besides human presence it can also sense motion as well as light levels which is reported as a lux value in Homekit which is also useful for automations. It can be mounted on a wall or the stand can be folded out to sit on a shelf, and Meross includes double sided tape and cable clips for a neat installation. I also appreciate that it is hard-wired for power with cable and adapter included, so I don't have to worry about replacing batteries. I have had the Meross smart garage door module and temperature/humidity sensors for a while now and I have been very happy with them. Their devices are easy to setup and reliable, and this sensor is no exception.

Great addition to home automation
This matter enabled sensor is very easy to connect with Google Home. While adding device, select 'scan QR code' to connect, it connects within a minute.
I used to have a basic PIR light switch which wasn't always reliable. This sensor is much better at detecting your presence even if you are not moving. So, I have it set to trigger my electric fireplace.
There is also a brightness sensor but that is kind of useless. The reading is not accurate and the brightness value can not be used for automation. With Google Home, only the occupancy sensor can be used as trigger. I am not sure with other ecosystems.
Currently, the design allows the sensor to be placed on the table. The built in stand helps but that's pretty much it. It needs power cable and that limits how far from outlet it can be placed.
An option to hang on the wall would be great since not every space will have a table. It would be even better if, in the next version, the size is shrunk such that it fits within standard rocker light switch footprint. See my picture. This sensor is only slightly bigger than regular light switches. If they could be retrofitted into existing switches, that would open a lot more possibilities or flexibility.
I give 4 stars at the moment, since there are other similar sensors with built in battery that can be placed anywhere. Maybe the version 2 of this sensor will be worthy of 5 stars.

Works great, small/unobtrusive and easy to set up
So a friend who has this gave me one for my birthday which I installed in my vacation home to know if anyone is in the home when I am not there.
Not only does it notify me but turns on a specific set of lights which has scared away as it turns out some local kids who were breaking into houses to party in and leave wrecked in the process.
I called the police upon notification and found the kids still on my property and they were prosecuted for trespassing.
I love the Fact that the sensors can not only pick up motion but also breathing and heartbeats, wow.
I was so impressed with the gift I bought one for my house as a way to turn on lights/routine when I came in from the garage into my main house.
It turns on a light in the basement where I enter and two lights upstairs.
You can set any kind of routine with any wireless device you can use with Alexa (my friend uses Google and apple devices with the same success).
The pro's
1) small with a base the has great positioning flexibility to sit on a surface or hide say on a shelf.
2) comes with 2 way tape applique for hanging on a wall along with wire clips to neatly secure the wire
neatly or as I am thinking of buying another to use in my office attach to furniture or file cabinet to turn on lights and keep them on until I leave it.
3) really simple and easy to set up especially for an inexperienced tech challenged guy like me
No cons, all pros and for the price a great deal.
