My sister stole my JBL that i quite literally had for 5 years, i was distraught. But today this speaker came and i love it! its very lightweight, gets just as loud as my old jbl, and it comes in a bunch of flattering colors:) i def recommend if you need a new speaker

LOUDER THAN YOU'D EVER EXPECT
I was SO SURPRISED how loud this speaker can get just based on its size!! Best $35 I've spent in awhile! Like I honestly wouldn't put it at its loudest cuz it's that strong LOL. I love the color and the wristlet. Easy Bluetooth connection, I just have nothing bad to say about it. If it's on your wishlist GET IT!

Great speaker
Love this speaker. Great sound. The only problem is the end to the charger came
off in the speaker and I cannot get it fixed. Contacted Miatone support two days ago as to where I can get another one but they have not responded with an answer.

Love it!
For a few months I have had the speaker I love it. It holds the charge pretty well. I take it on every weekend getaway Atlantic City trip that I have I bring to every party because I always have to make sure we have a speaker and it is very great. It gets very loud. I can’t figure out how to take a video and show you cause it keeps stopping, but it’s pink and if you like pink.

Finding the charger port
The most frustrating thing about these dang things. Are instructions are clearer or not clearer enough. The how to charge portion should have added in the first step is to open the slot for the charger. When opening it for charging. I had a mini fit because the instructions were not clear. The picture showed where it was. But not how the portion of the speaker should have been open. It's a good thing I did not break my speaker or thought about returning it cause I thought I had a fake. I literally had to go through the reviews to find the picture of someone charging it. Just wanted to make this clear for future instructions. Especially for the older generation who do not understand how it works. So I added a video for visual people like myself to understand you won't break the speaker when opening that flap.

Great speaker
Very good speaker the sound quality for the price is great even at high volumes. i love the little string on the side in case you need to hang it anywhere and i can’t really comment on the battery life as i haven’t used it that much yet
Erika
Great for price
Sound quality is great. I played country and EDM on it, and both sounded amazing. I wish it could go louder, but for the price and looks, it’s pretty good! I would recommend if you need a portable speaker.

BEST SPEAKER IVE EVER OWNED
Bought it to listen to music while i stream! It is extremely loud and doesnt have any flaws. Easy to connect to. Quickly charges and stays charged pretty much all day
Michelle
awesome!
i’ve been looking for a waterproof bluetooth speaker to use while showering that i could adjust without having to get out of the shower & this offers a great sound for in the shower. it has the potential to be pretty loud! i use it down on the first or second quietest option while in the shower & it’s plenty loud. easy to use & the portability is great! i just hang it from the metal rings on the shower curtain & i have no issues with it comes to the water resistance! i wish there were designated buttons to skip the song instead of holding the + / - buttons but it’s not that big of a deal either. i haven’t been able to properly test the battery life but so far so good!

If you want loud music get ready for it to drain that battery
So I got this for my best friend to listen to in his room and to work on that good ol fashion shower karaoke we all love so much. Don't get me wrong it crtianly get loud and has a pretty decent quality, but ONLY if it fully charged and the battery drains really quick. Never had an issue with it being waterproof so you're good at the pool. Also it doesn't have full surround sound and only one side of it produces noise.

Not waterproof like it says. Got mine the box it comes in says Splashproof. Big big difference
I love the color, it’s light weight, sound is great. If you set it upright it muffles the sound. It rolls if layer on side. Would be great if it came with a cradle you could lay it in. In the description it says it’s water proof. The box it came in clearly says splash proof. Big, big difference. I wanted waterproof due to my young grandkids around water. 2 yr olds run fast when they have something they know you want lol! Didn’t want to have to worry about the speaker accidentally being dropped in their little pool or any pool. So had I known it was only splashproof I would have purchased something else. Hope the next person reads the review so they don’t waste their time. Nice inside speaker though

2-Part Review: Stop reading & buy two.
Part 1: (2020) This is the best small speaker. I’m so impressed. I used to have the Big Jambox speaker and this is the same sound quality. The bass bumps clear and the sound is so clear. No popping or tin sound. It is extremely loud too. I put it on my bicycle, it fits right in the bottle cage, and when I ride people turn to see where the sound is coming from. Someone thought the sound was a car speaker. I’ve gone through so many speakers trying to find the right one and this is perfect. I might buy a second one so I can pair them.
Part 2: (2021) Got a 2nd one and the surround sound is awesome. They’re easy to sync and they work far apart so I have them in 2 rooms for parties. They use android cables and for some reason I have 8 million of those in every corner of my home.
Water- I use a speaker in the shower everyday. I love it, neighbor hates it. I use it kayaking and on the beach. Dirt gets on it so I just rinse it in the lake water. I also clean them at home with soap and running water like I clean my waterproof iPhones and iPads. No rust! Sound like new.
One day, the sound was really low and wouldn’t go up. I figured out that my new iPhone 11 had a noise control setting on (pics included). I turned it off and the speakers are blasting again!
I took some classy photos for you guys lol. A second vid coming soon!

Worth the price.
Charged fully within 3 hours per instructions. Connected with no issues. I had the volume at a low rate due to having people home and didn't want to disturb anyone. When the speaker is laying down, it gives a 'surround sound'. Overall, for the price it's worth it.

Great sound love the color pink
Easy to pair. Pretty much ready out of the box. Came with a usb cable. Sound is great. Shipped right away with prime. I didn’t charge it prior to using and battery life was great. I haven’t used it nonstop so I can’t tell how long it will last fully charged. It’s great that I can bring it anywhere. I plan on bringing to parties at the park or at the backyard.

Great Performing and High Quality Sound
I have been using this speaker so far for blasting music, connecting it with my monitor, using it to watch movies, and taking it on the go to friend's houses and parties, and I think this speaker has great performance and high quality sound compared to some of the other speakers that I have had.
Pros:
- The 16W drivers on this speaker allow it to be very loud, and so I usually use it at 60-70% volume which is enough to fill an entire large room.
- It has a very robust, cylindrical design allows it to withstand some fall damage, and with rubberized ends so that it doesn't slip, and the design allows for it to play audio from multiple directions.
- It has the capability to play in wireless stereo mode by connecting to another Miatone speaker which allows for audio playing from 32W which is very high and can allow for very far reaching audio.
- The battery lasted me around 9-10 hours depending on how much I kept the volume at during certain times which is great because it lasts me several days without charge since I use it several hours at a time.
- It is water resistant (IPX6). Although I haven't tested it, I think it is good that it can withstand some water in case it accidentally falls into water or some water falls onto it.
- I'm not an audiophile, but based on other previous speakers that I've had, both wired and wireless, I think this speaker has the best sound quality. It is very loud and the audio is far reaching so if it's on one end of your house, you can hear it from the other end. The audio is also clear and crisp, with a deep bass, so you can hear music, movies, or any media without loss of quality in the audio.
- The Bluetooth 4.2 allows for it to connect and play from a device as far as around 30ft between walls and obstacles. I was able to listen to the speaker from my device while I was in other rooms in my house which is really good connectivity. Without any walls or obstacles, it says you can connect and play the speakers from about 100ft.
Cons
- The voice that plays when powering on/off, and connecting/disconnecting your device is annoying because it is very loud no matter what you set the volume of the speaker to, and there is no way to turn it off.
- The speaker automatically turns off after a certain amount of time if nothing is playing while connected to your device.
- It takes a very long time to charge the speaker, around 3 hours.
- The speaker should be able to connect to other speakers in TWS mode (True Wireless Stereo mode) in order to play wireless stereo sound instead being able to connect to only Miatone speakers
Nice Improvements To Have
- Volume indicator
- Battery indicator
- There should be an option to turn off the voice that plays when powering on/off and connecting/disconnecting your device, or replace the voice with simple sounds that aren't so loud
- The speaker should stay on while connected to your device regardless if anything is playing or not. It should only turn off if powered off or if the device is disconnected.
- The charging time should be lowered

A quality speaker!
Bought to listen to music to while I cook. The speaker's starting noise is pleasant, and so is the female voice that says "bluetooth mode on" and "power on/off." She might be British? Australian? Not sure. It's more intelligible than the usual Chinese accent, although my various bluetooth devices with that accent have sort of become endearing.
Pros
- Cute pink color
- Sound quality is good! I'm no audiophile, but I'm certain this will do well for parties, the pool, skiing, picnics, etc. It definitely has the volume to fill a room. I gave it a 4 because while it's good, I don't think it's anything outrageously good either.
- It turns itself off after a while if you aren't playing anything!
Cons
- I'm as much a fan of cylinders as any other person, but...I'm kind of scared this will roll away if I place it on a grade? I don't like the idea of $50 rolling away from me?? There's a thick cord emerging from the strip of buttons that could be a feasible impediment, but I don't think it'll really stop anything. That's the biggest con.
Unknowns
- I'll update this as I use it for feedback on wear and tear, and to see if the pink color gets dirty.
- Haven't tested whether it's actually water resistant yet, but I also don't really want to deliberately expose it to water, you know? But maybe I'll do it after I've used it for a long time.
Overall, solid choice if you want to pay a little extra for peace of mind.

Very good sound and battery life, easy pairing to smart phone
I am no stranger to Miatone as I already use their excellent earphones on a daily basis. When I learned noticed they also make a bluetooth external speaker I was quick to try it out. The Miatone "Boombox" uses a English speaking robotic female voice when powering up and pairing which is fun to listen to. I use this device each morning while getting ready for work. Perfect for streaming music from smart phone or as an improved speaker for Alexa. It is also one of the most portable speakers I have used. The speakers are loud and clear with suprisingly good bass for such a small design.
There is also a convienent cord built into the speaker so it can be secured when needed for audio on the go. Is is also very light weight, noticeably lighter than the similar speakers. I would not hesitate to recommend this speaker.
