Multi use!

Honestly big bang for buck

Some people just don’t know how to use it.

Manually setting the range is what helps find your problems.

I was able to find the draft in my sons room, where my water was leaking in restroom, where my son spilled, where my HVAC duct tube was bent, lastly, it helps me find studs!!

Only reason it isn’t a 5 star is because the manual range sucks that It takes forever to bring it into the range you want

It works well

It works great, no big deal but hope the case quality is better maybe put there logos so easy to find. If its in case i never assume its thermal gun

Cost Effective

This is an excellent product for the price. I thought I had a leak based on the noise I heard in the ceiling. This thermal camera helped me rule it out. It was the heat duct making the noise when cooling down after my furnace shuts down.

I love Jewelry

Thermal camera

Very Impressive, One Hand Friendly

I am becoming a MiLESEEY fan. Their measuring devices are so impressive and this one is no different. The form factor is perfect in my hand. The layout is intuitive with each button below the screen easily being reachable with my thumb. Additionally, the trigger on the front helps to ensure one handed operation. Just squeeze it and the recording starts. The clarity is nice and I can move at a pretty good rate and this thermal camera adjusts quickly to the temps at center and around the target. The weight is not bad, just heavy enough that it lets me know there is serious hardware inside. It does not feel like an empty shell at all. The grip has a nice rubber like texture that ensures good grip and no slippage. Charging is easy by simply plugging it into my USB hub. I know there are more capabilities I have yet to learn. But right out of the box the layout of the video/image on screen with the temp data makes sense. I am able to spot cold and hot spots throughout the house seamlessly. I have already identified several areas where the insulation falls short.

Loving the ruggedness, form factor and functionality of this thermal imaging camera. So far I have barely scratch the surface of this intriguing tool and I can't wait to learn and use it to it's full potential.

Inaccurate!

Garbage! There's NO way this thing is accurate. It says my bottle of water is 95° F after taking it out of the fridge, the wall plug is 135°F and it's not even warm to the touch. I'm returning this trash .

Great for leaks

Ok this infrared gun is really cool! I had a leak come in from an upstairs balcony and I couldn’t figure out where it was coming in from. This helped me find that I was in fact correct and it was coming from the exact spot I thought.

BIG PICTURE - QUALITY UNIT

Good clear visuals on the easy to see screen. When you point to a new location the reading is fast and focused. If you have a drafty house this is a must.

Great for doing a home pre inspection

I needed a way to verify the insulation in the roof of my house after some repairs were done. Its been in the 30s and I thought things were cooler now that I had a repair done in my loft. This does not have picture quality close to an iphone, but it shows thermal profiles which is all I needed. It is easy to capture a photo with the trigger on the back. It saves it to internal storage and has a USB C that you can use to move files. See the image with the review showing weaker insulation coverage in my roof compared to the rest of the house. This will have a few other uses for me around the house, such as finding thermal issues with my technology. I think that its a good camera for around the house thermal imaging. May also be good for home inspectors. In my photos you can see the difference in temperature for insulation in the roof.

Very sensitive. Great quality!

A very sensitive termal camera

I used this camera to look for cold leaks in my house. It very well! It automatically adjusts the range so things that are cold relative to the env will show up as dark lines and spots. I opened a slit in my window and it's darker than the whole panel, which is already colder than the house.

Incredible Clarity and great value.

This thermal Imaging Camera is an outstanding product at a very cost-effective price! For a camera with a 240 x 240 super resolution, it provides impressive image clarity that lets me spot even small temperature differences easily. The 25 Hz refresh rate makes everything smooth and responsive with no lag—perfect for precise, real-time temperature readings. The temperature range from -4°F to 1022°F covers all my needs, from home inspections to electrical and equipment checks. Additionally, it’s solidly built, comfortable to hold, and lightweight enough to carry anywhere.

So Many Uses Around the House!

I first need to admit I am a science nerd. I love science and discovering things around me. I have always wanted an infrared camera to measure temperature or see things that are otherwise hidden to the naked eye. It was pretty exciting for me to get this finally.

Of course, as the picture shows, there are fun uses for the infrared camera to see the temperature of various objects or pets.... :) I have used this to find where I need to better insulate or seal up my house. Other uses have included looking at my electrical panel to see what if any circuits have heavy load on them, locating a pet in the back yard on a dark night, seeing if something is too hot to touch before trying it and lots more.

The camera has many features and is easy for a beginning to just use. It also has more advanced features that let you improve the temperature accuracy by identifying the type of material being measured and how much heat may be reflected or not. The trigger to take a picture is easy and getting the images to your computer is easy too.

If you aren't familiar with infrared cameras, don't expect the resolution of the images taken to be very large. In my experience and research, you have to buy a much more expensive camera to get resolutions greater than 240x240. For my needs that size is just fine and I am quite happy with this!

Good Precision

This TR10 handheld Infrared (IR) Camera from MILESEEY is light-weight and easy to use. Like many industrial-type IR cameras, it has a trigger-operated shutter in the handle and built-in memory for capturing screen images as JPG files. The display automatically includes the highest and lowest temperature values as well as the (white box) direct measurement value in the center of the screen. I like that the display includes the emissivity value and the sighting distance right on the display (and thus it is included in the photos). Although the instructions were a little vague, with a little effort I was able use the included USB cable to transfer photos from camera memory to my Windows 10 desktop computer.

I did not yet test the camera’s “high” temperature range (100-550C); I am however impressed by the precision of the “low” ( < 150C) temperature range and the screen (pixel) resolution. As you can see in my example photos, the range of the temperature scale adjusts automatically and can be as little as 5C / 9F while still providing clear edges to objects in the image. For example, Photo #2 shows the Dining Room wall where the 2x4 studs (green) are clearly visible behind the sheetrock due to the insulated area (blue) between the studs being only about 1C / 2F cooler. Photo #3 compares a lower glass-block window area to an arched upper, double-pane window; the edges are well-defined, and the double-pane window is slightly cooler than the glass blocks under equivalent environmental conditions. Photo #1 shows a bedroom ceiling where small amounts of heat from the attic space can be seen leaking through openings for the can light and the smoke detector; you can also see the heat generated by the operating ceiling fan as well as the locally cool region that is the A/C vent. This is a good imager for the price.

Well-Made Instrument, Simple to Use

This is a nice instrument that can be used for simple overall heat sensing and well as for more precise temperature measurements. For example, if you want to simply search for hotspots or leaking heat, you can grab this imaging camera right out of the box and go. Its screen is large enough (with enough resolution) to clearly discern the objects you’re scanning. Watch the video for a quick demo of the camera in action. I used it to scan both my dog and a lit candle. Notice how the camera even picks up the heat thermals rising above the candle flames.

But if you need to tackle more accurate temperature measurements (versus just sensing hotspots), this camera can deliver as well. It has menu settings that allow you set the emissivity value of the object you’re scanning as well as the distance from which you will be scanning. These settings help ensure the temperature readings on the screen (center reading, max reading and min reading) will be as accurate as possible. The instructions include an emissivity values chart for many common objects (see photo I took of that chart). I recommend keeping that chart as a photo in your phone, so you’ll always have it handy. (By the way, emissivity is just a measure of how well an object radiates heat. For accurate temperature measurements, you need to take this into account.)

I also really like that this camera has 8 different color palettes for visualizing hotspots. And the best part is that you can quickly change the palette with just the press of a button while you’re scanning, so you can easily find the palette that helps you visualize your scene the best. What the video for a demo of all 8 palettes.

This thermal camera has many additional features, including built-in memory that allows you to easily take snapshots of your screen that you can view later on the camera, a high and normal temp range setting, high and low temp alarm options, display brightness settings, ability to adjust the display layout, date and time function, and an image correction setting to help eliminate noise. There is also available software from the manufacturer that will allow you to download your saved images or to project the camera image in real time onto your PC screen (using the supplied USB cable for battery charging). And the best part is: all the option menus are well-designed and easy to navigate. You don’t really even need to read the instructions. So you can quickly make any changes you want on-the-fly. It even has as a standard tripod mount on the bottom of the handle so you can set this up on a tripod for static monitoring, or on a monopod to help reach into tight spaces.

About my only (minor) complaint: it doesn’t come with any protective cover, bag, or case – which just seems like an oversight to me such a nice instrument.

It's okay.

I haven't had any reliability issues with the camera, and I'd argue any thermal camera is better than no thermal camera, but I have some gripes.

My first gripe is the grip. The front of the handle is nicely rounded but the back is oddly flat making it feel weird in the hand. As for the rest of the housing, for whatever reason it is WAY bigger than it needs to be considering the small sensor size. Speaking of which, I still can't tell you what the actual sensor size is. The manual gives a 240 x 240 "Max Picture Size" and a 192 x 192 "Super-Resolution" but comparing images from the TR10 with those from a different camera with a 96 x 96 sensor makes me think we're sitting somewhere lower than that.

Images themselves come out a bit smudgy when compared with other thermal cameras in this price range (see some side by sides with a HF96). I've liked some other products from Mileseey but unfortunately this one doesn't quite stand up to the competition.

There is no product software available for this model

It came ready to go with about 90% battery charge and the manual is easy to follow. I was impressed with how it showed various temps within a room and reported the many hot spots. IR is not the same as our visible light spectrum so it can't be expected to yield sharp images. Having 240x240 resolution for IR analysis is a respectable resolution. Temperature measurements are reasonably accurate. The 25hz refresh rate is acceptable but you need to let it register a new scene for a few seconds. Picture taking is just a pull of the trigger. Each image will have a unique file name. I don't see any provision for recording the time on the image or in the file name. (not happy) It does have a run time of about 5 minutes before it goes into cool down mode and shuts off. Give it a few minutes of cool down and it is ready to re start.

I followed the instructions manual requesting a download of software for this unit from the manufacture so I could catalog and sort the images on my PC computer. They answered within 24 hours and stated that I would need to upgrade to the TR256E unit for that to work. So if you want to do studies of image content, the TR10 does not have that capability. The memory card is not removable. Downloads are by cable only. (not happy)

I can however, connect to the unit and download the .bmp files by connecting through the supplied cable and selecting "USB disk" from the menu. This device only generates .bmp so we must upload and convert them to a format that we want to work with.

Attached is a page of native 240x240 images for your review, it has: inside and outside, night and day variations.and also one black and whit image I converted from .bmp to Tiff in Photoshop. Then, enlarged it 2x and saved it as a .jpg just so you could see what this tool is capable of.

My black and white image shows a corner of a room where the opposite wall is heated by the sun on the opposite side and has very little insulation. It has pictures hanging on it. The dark rectangle is a 20x28 metal picture. ,The ceiling has about 6 light fixtures 4 inches in diameter and 8 inches long. The ceiling above has very little insulation and this is spotty at best. The right side where it is dark is an inside wall to another room. The air conditioner is on. I would give it 3-1/2 stars if I could because of its software limitation, no time stamp and need for cable.

Great picture quality, yet small and portable.

This is a great InfraRed (IR) camera and super easy to use.

I always looked at these cameras before, but the high price tag usually made me back off. But this one was priced right and has all the functions needed to do the job.

I turned it on right out of the box and it was fully charged and ready to go. The screen is very bright and large enough to see fine details, such as gaps around windows and doors (useful to find insulation flaws). It shows you the temperature of the item in the middle of the screen, but also highlights temperature spikes (positive and negative) of other areas inside the view window. This really helps you when you move around to find and locate hot or cold spots.

Taking pictures is as easy as pulling the trigger and they can be downloaded via USB cable from the device.

By the way, the storage is completely internal and no SD card is needed.

There are many more functions and settings I have not explored yet, but from my first impression this is a very useful and handy IR camera.

Nice

Where's great right out of the box Don't know about the longevity of that but I'm going to find out if there are any negatives I would definitely come and update this review so please look for that according to the date this is July of 2024 when I'm doing this I'm going to start using it right away and update you as soon as I can find something negative to say if there's nothing negative to say I won't update this

Check out my video taking a closer look at it if you're thinking about buying it will give you a closer look at what you're going to get out of the box know that one thing I noticed right out of the box also is that it's kind of bigger than I thought it would be bigger than others I have used in the same type device but for what it does who cares how big it is it does seem to be very accurate and hit my hotspots right away you can see that in the video also
