Purchased 60" MinkaAire fan in burnished nickel. Love how little contrast there is between the wood and nickel color. Noiseless. Light is very bright. Hangs perfectly on a slanted ceiling -- had to purchase down rod separately. No transmission box inside collar for the remote, it has an extra wire for remote transmission instead. Remote already programmed to work. Handyman (who has installed many, many fans) found this easy to install.

This is my third Minka Aire ceiling fan, and this model does not disappoint - great light output and air displacement.

This fan looks even better in person. It seems to be well crafted and the DC motor is virtually silent. The install went smoothly until it came to attaching the blades, which proved to be slightly challenging to get the screw though the blade and into the holes, all while on a 12 foot ladder. I followed the install instructions, but if I had to do it again, I might have attached the blades while on the ground. I did purchase the wall control (wc 1000) as it looks much cleaner than the supplied remote in my opinion. The wall control has the exact same buttons and features as the remote. The led is very bright but has a nice dimming feature. The hard-wired led light is a little on the warm side and the temp cannot be adjusted, but I think it is good for a living room and I probably wouldn't want it any cooler.

I spent a lot of time searching for the right fan, we LOVE this one! We have MINKA fans in our bedrooms and love the brand!

I spent hours online researching modern interior ceiling fans with a light and a reversible motor to use in both the summer (cooling) and winter (moving heat) that was within a $200-$400 budget. I'm so glad I purchased the Minka-Aire F749L-BN Skyhawk. First of all, it's gorgeous. The wooden blades are lighter than I anticipated, but still look great on my ceiling, as well as the brushed nickel which give a rich and clean look. A friend did the installation which took about 90 minutes in total. I'm not sure about other reviewer's complaints. The fan is absolutely quiet. I just got back from visiting family in the Pacific Northwest where they have a ceiling fan in every room and are experiencing extreme heat. This fan is so much quieter. And the light has a dimmer switch so the overhead light can range from very bright to varying shades of more subtle ambient light. The remote is great, too, with six different speed settings, as well as the light and dimmer switch. I can use it or turn it off on the wall switch which I used for the light the fan/light replaced. The best home purchase I've made this year.

My designer friend said white fans blend in better with the room if the ceiling and walls are white. I wanted the fan to disappear as opposed to stand out. I love this one! Has a remote control and zero noise at all speeds.

All the pictures show a cool light or daylight, this is has that ugly yellow light color. I hate this thing because of that only!
