Just Right? faster than mobile connectors and slower than hardwired connectors

Like Goldilocks this charging connector might be "just right" for you. Max charging is 40 amps on a 50 amp receptacle/breaker which is faster than most mobile connectors (such as the Tesla Mobile Connector max 32 amp) but slower than many hardwired connectors (such as the Tesla Wall Connector max 48 amp). It is sort of in-between as it is not very mobile (it is large and heavy) and not hardwired (it plugs in). For the vast majority of EV owners 40 amps on a 208/240 amp circuit is more than enough charging speed. You get almost the max speed of a hardwired system with the convenience of just plugging it in or unplugging it if you move.

Lots of software features that I won't use and I suspect if installed at house most people won't use either as charge scheduling and tracking is done in most cars. The software and screen / controls kinda complicate it a bit more than it needs to be. I suppose if you share a charging connector with others say at a condo and want to invoice each user for their charging sessions the software will help with that.

Overall it is solidly built and well made at a reasonable price. Easy to use and you can use a J1772 to NACS adapter with it which is good since nearly all new EVs in North America are NACS now. Note it is NOT UL Listed.
