The Best Sim Racing Bang For The Buck!

I wanted to take my sim racing to a higher level. I had been using a Thrustmaster TX for many years and it had finally stopped working. I wasn’t really sure what all of the hype surrounding “direct drive” wheels was about…… That is until I bolted the R3 to my new rig. The performance is night and day better. The R3 is an entry level unit with 3.9Nm of torque. I was feeling a level of feedback that was much more precise and once I came to grips with it, I was beating all of my old track times! I primarily race via the Xbox Series X and this version of the R3 worked perfectly right out of the box. Setting up the R3 was fairly straightforward. MOZA has both a PC and mobile version of their Pithouse software and I found that both worked just fine. The PC version only works with the base connected to your computer but the mobile app works “on the fly” in both PC and Xbox modes allowing real time adjustments as you play. After more than a week of hard play, I can say without a doubt that the R3 is the best wheel combo that you can get for under $400! Having said that, the R3 isn’t perfect. In Xbox mode, you are limited to the basic button controls. This means that half of the buttons, that you have available can not be mapped like they would when playing games on your PC. The pedals work well but I really did not like how soft the brake pedal was. Thankfully MOZA sells a mod for the brake pedal that works perfectly. When I installed it, I had much better braking control. The base can get very warm during intense play but I have not had any issues where it stopped working. The biggest thing that I dislike is the differences between the PC and mobile versions of Pithouse. Going from the PC version to the mobile version is a confusing mess. Many of the mobile app settings are not in the same locations as the PC version and in several cases they are not even worded the same! This had me searching the internet many times trying to figure out what setting in the PC version corresponded to the mobile version. This issue needs to be fixed and it will drive you crazy at first! Lastly, the mobile app refuses to work on an apple ipad. The page formatting is wrong so you can not get past the terms of service agreement because you can’t check the silly box. It works fine on the phone though. I would really like to have a working version for tablets as it makes everything easier to see and navigate. Registration also does not work by phone if you live outside of China so do yourself a favor and register with an email. Despite these issues, I still love the R3 and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade or get into sim racing beyond a game controller.

I been using it for a year i use it with a sequential mozas shifter and I’ll never regret buying it the feelings is one of the best I tried I came from the Logitech g923 and the difference is really like a real car I love it

Lo compre desde Argentina llego bien por DHL y despues OCA muy buen producto es lo que se espera de un kit de entrada de simulador de carreras, estoy satisfecho aunque recomiendan comprar con el complemento para endurecer el pedal de freno que se vende por aparte, lo compre pero todavia no lo probe.

Es muy entretenido, mas de lo que me esperaba, ya que juego generalmente con jostick pero es una experiencia distinta con el Force Feedback de los juegos.

Lo compre para que mi señora aprenda las fisicas de los autos asi empieza a manejar y sirve exelente

I came from a pxn cheap $80 wheel, AND WHAT AN UPGRADE! I love this wheel for everything, like farming sim, assetto corsa, beamng, and forza horizon 5 on steam. I’m a PC player and this is super easy to use. Because I’m on PC I use the MOZA software app that is a free essential software that you can modify your settings like speed of the wheel ffb, amount of ffb. And the maximum rotation of the wheel. Not to mention how awesome the service of MOZA is. I first ordered the non Xbox r3 and had to return it because for me it didn’t work on forza horizon 5. I ordered this wheel and Forza worked perfectly when plugged in (only steam version when on pc, at least for me). When I returned the non Xbox r3 they had great one to one service. Only bad thing is that the screw in plate didn’t fit my rig, but that’s not really MOZA’s fault

Just press the wheel's Xbox button to turn on the console

I have the R3 wheel, with two pedals. I have repositioned the brake pedal to the left, for left foot braking. I recently added the analog handbrake. I first used Dirt Rally 2, but now I'm exclusively using WRC, on my Xbox Series X.

I sit about 4.5 ft from my 55-in TV, and it's a great racing experience.

I had originally turned down all the R3 force feedback settings to about 60%-70%, but now they're back up at ~85%. The WRC game allows these forces to be adjusted well above 100%, so I may start adjusting them even higher.

With the force feedback, you can really feel the wheels contacting the road, borders, and curbs. You can also feel the tires breaking free, and sliding, on the gravel roads.

NOTE: I was always having an issue turning on the power for this wheel. I always keep the wheel connected to the power source and the Xbox. I didn't realize that the wheel was powered on, and "sleeping".

Turns out that all you have to do is press the Xbox button on the wheel. The Xbox console turns on, you see the standard morphing rainbow light pattern on the wheel, and you're ready to go.

I bought a generic racing wheel stand for $70. I had to drill out four holes for the wheel mount, and I had to drill one hole in the stand under the front of the accelerator pedal.

Excelente producto, muy buena calidad y relación calidad precio. Muy buen direct drive. Para Xbox se pierden los botones adicionales. Recomiendo si es en escritorio comprar sillas con freno para la silla

It’s used should be new

Came open and parts are loose. Thought I was buying a brand new wheel, but it’s obviously used with dust covering everything and missing parts. Had to return

Nunca funcionó. Vino averiado.

La base nunca reconoció el volante ni los pedales. Probé con xbox serie x y con una computadora. En ninguna de las plataformas funcionó.

A lot for the money.

For an entry level direct drive wheel this does a lot. Obviously it could be stronger, but as compared to a G920 from Logitech it’s much much stronger and the input is much sharper.

I’ve used it for GT3 racing, drifting, and just general driving. When drifting I did notice the base would consistently get very warm making me worry about longevity. But thus far it’s been problem free.
