I bought this in April 2026. As you can see from the picture, the coating has already begun to peel off. I have never seen a tape measure to this. This tape measure has never been outside. It’s always been stored in the garage. Obviously I can’t return it now so I can only give it a one star rating. But I would never buy this product again.

I was tired of borrowing my husband's ugly tape measure, so I finally got my own! The pink color makes it so cute & easy to spot in my drawer, but it is also super functional. The 25-foot length is perfect for measuring furniture & room dimensions, & the numbers are very clear & easy to read. It locks smoothly in place & retracts with no issues. So glad to finally have my own dedicated tape measure that looks good & works great!

I’m happy with this purchase. I was looking for the cheapest option when moving into a new apartment, and this one did not disappoint.
It’s heavy and feels very sturdy. I like that there is a switch to lock the length. When retracting the tape, it moves quickly without whipping your fingers in the process.
I’d buy this again in a heartbeat if I needed another!

I included two images. It works just find, numbers are large enough to read. The lock feature works very well, it is easy to use and it holds just fine. Retractability is fast and effortless. Even came with a mustache sticker. I honestly feel the value is really good.

I like having multiple tape measures around the house and garage for quick and easy use, so I don’t have to search everywhere for them. The Mr. Pen- Retractable Tape Measure 25 ft, 2 Pack, Dark Blue is a great, inexpensive solution to my disorganization problem.
The tape measure is about what you’d expect. This set is of decent quality and resembles another blue store brand. The fraction of inches is a nice addition for those who are fractionally challenged. The tape quality is thick and comparable to other offerings. It has a lock mechanism and belt clip as well. It has everything that you should expect from a tape measure. The only thing missing is metric measurements on the back side, but that’s not a deal breaker.

I love my 25 foot Mr Pen measuring tape. I can read my tape very easily and the housing made of rubber makes it so much easier to use than the medal and plastic ones on the market slip out of your hands especially if you are using gloves.

This measure tape works for our need to measuring with our recent DIY projects at home from tiling to cabinet sizing. The size accuracy is on par with the other name brand tape that we have. I do like that it is fractional and labeled for accurate reading. The only con is that there is no metric system on the opposite side. Other than that it is well-made, in colorful purple and easy to be recognized. For the price range of sub-$10, the tape is affordable and comparable to the name brands.

Was not expecting this to be as beefy as it is. Very quality. Has very specific measurements that many other tapes don't have. Came with a mustache.

This Mr. Pen measuring tape is a nice 25 ft instead of the often 16 ft tapes. It has a smooth and strong retraction spring and the tape is double sided (identical markings on both sides). It also comes with a little mustache sticker, perhaps to signal the availability of mustache rides. It has the older lock mechanism where the button locks the tape instead of the newer type where the tape stays out and only retracts when the button is pushed.

Not too heavy, the tape glides easily when measuring and retracting, locks tight, quick to use, and great value for the money.
Great packaging, came with a fun mustache sticker, and feels sturdy. Coming from a construction background I appreciate durable products.
I’d purchase again but don’t think I’ll need to for a long time. Solid product here.

This Mr. Pen Tape Measure exceeded our expectations! The tape is heavier gage than any of the several tape measures in our shop; but then the others are only sixteen feet long. Mr. Pen is very clearly marked in inch measure and fractions ('tho without millimeter markings). The tape will extend six feet without buckling. The lock and re-wind mechanism functions reliably. This will be our 'Go-To' measure for longer, heavier construction projects. A solid value; especially versus some high-priced premier brand name tapes. ~ The Duffian

Overall love this measuring tape, here are the pros and cons:
PROS:
-Super easy to read extra large numbers, great if you forgot your glasses!
-Mechanism is smooth, glides easily, seems well made
CONS:
-Only has inches, no centimeters. I miss being able to pull out the tape to see how big a certain amount of centimeters will be. In this world of the internet where we can buy things marketed only in centimeters, this means I first have to do the calculation (2.54 cm per inch) and then pull out the tape measure to see how that size looks (or use a diff tape measure that does have centimeters).
-This is a large-in-the-hand tape measure with a solid weight to it. I have a mini tape measure that seems a bit handier when I’m on the go (but not nearly as easy to read). So if you flea market this will add some bulk and weight to your tote bag. On the other hand, it is super easy to read!
Bottom Line: I wish they had put centimeters in smaller print along the bottom edge, but other than that this is a smoothly functioning super easy to read and use tape measure. I included a photo in this review so you can see how easy it is to read. I hope this review is useful to you :)

Measuring tape first ripped, then came clear off and retracted into tape measure. This was after very light use over a period of maybe 8 weeks. The 30 day return window had passed, so I contacted the company, but they have not responded to me.

It can be dangerous.
I thought is like all the other reliable tapes. But this one is so flimsy and it swirls in all unexpected directions. It cut my fingers twice because the edges are so sharp and it gets out of control every time you use it.

This is such a good idea! I sometimes struggle with seeing the little lines and converting them into fractions. This heavy duty gadget does it for me. It feels weighty in your hand, but not too heavy. I think it’s going to last for a long time.
