Convenient and Easy to Use - Great Customer Service
We purchased this travel charger in November 2022. Unfortunately, this past weekend, it stopped working. HOWEVER, with the two year warranty, we were able to contact MUSTART. With a few requirements; e.g. video of using the charger, pictures of the charger, MUSTART sent us a replacement travel charger unit and cords. We were down for only 3 days. Had to remember the time difference between (I'm assuming) China and USA regarding the communication. MUSTART shipped the replacement immediately upon our fulfilling the necessary proof of the problem.
Yes, it was awful that the unit failed after 18 months. But, the customer service and two year warranty worked out for us. We have a 2023 Kia Sportage Platinum XLine plug in hybrid (fabulous vehicle BTW). With our driving habits, we charge the vehicle every other day on average. We had a dedicated socket installed. Thank you, Mustart, for standing behind your product.

Excellent customer service
I have been using a Mustart Travelmaster EVSE for the past two years to charge my VW ID.4 at home and on the road. Despite some concerning reports on Bolt forums that the J1772 connector overheated and damaged cars, I kept using it. I checked my connector many times, and it was never more than warm to the touch even after hours of charging.
However, last weekend the unit refused to charge and showed an LD error and a yellow error light. That was on my 14-50 outlet. I also checked with the 5-15 adapter on a different circuit and got the same error. So I got in touch with Mustart customer service on Monday and received a prompt answer. LD stands for "leakage detected". I plugged my trusty circuit tester into the 5-15 outlet and got 2 amber Ok lights, no errors. Hmm, what leakage then? I also plugged the VW L1 charger into that circuit and successfully initiated and sustained a charge.
Customer service asked me to video record the entire plugin and charge initiation process on the 14-50 outlet, and after reviewing it decided that a replacement unit was in order, which arrived Saturday. This is 5 days after I reported the issue. I should also add that Mustart's 2-year warranty would have run out 2 days after I had the issue.
I have to say, I am quite pleased with this customer service. I continue to trust the Mustart Travelmaster despite the lack of UL listing and the Bolt reports. I will say though that Mustart has a German TÜV certificate, which as a European-born guy I trust just as much as UL. I also appreciate that the error detection circuit overreacted rather than the other way. If it breaks or malfunctions, then in a way that keeps me and my EV safe.

Great charger till is fell apart after four days of use!
Not even one week of daily use and the body of the unit fell apart. It was not dropped or rough handled. I had seen other complaints about this before I bought it and thought they were one off cases. Boy was I wrong, the plastic used is flimsy and not designed for travel use where you would be packing and in packing it from its included carrying case. For the cost I seriously expected better, terrible product that I cannot recommend to anyone.

Connector design is faulty and should not be separated.
Well, this thing almost killed me. When attempting to charge, the connector head popped out. When trying to plug it back in. It exploded in my hands. It took me a few seconds to realize what happened. But could’ve been worse.
UPDATE: Reached out to the vendor, I guess they have a solid warranty. Offered to replace the original unit. They updated the connector to hold a bit better. Can't say I'm still not a bit worried every time I touch it or disconnect it.

Flexibility, durability and versatility.
Mobility, flexibility, durability and versatility. I chose this unit so I could use both at home and away (work) mostly. Both locations I have 220v welding outlets available. The TravelMaster comes with 2 plugs; 120v 15 amp and a 14-50p 220 plug. I ordered the 6-50 plug extra. Pleased upon unboxing with the construction and components. The fact that depending on the plug in use it will automatically adjust for amperage demand. The display shows good info. It’s not a WiFi unit but my BMW i3 is. So. Good to go. Sorry will come back and grumble if it performs less than I think it should.....
Update: Mustart stands behind their product. After about 6 months had a problem and it stopped working. After sending video of the unit not working I was quickly sent a replacement. I suggest securing the cables from being able to two twist within the strain reliefs. Still very pleased in the versatility and I see they now have a version 2 out. I would not hesitate to purchase one again. Still thumbs up. 👍

Full Featured and Portable
I purchased this Mustart TRAVELMASTER Portable Level 2 EV Charger so that I could have charging flexibility when I travel. This fits the bill. It allows me to charge at 110v if that is the only option I have, but in the event that I have access to a 220v (NEMA 14-50) outlet, now I have the ability to get a full charge in under 8 hours. You can do this by easily changing the plug on the charger from the 110v (NEMA 5-15) to the 220v (NEMA 14-50).
The charger charges at a full 32amps but it also has the ability to shift down to lower levels if necessary. This is great because my wife's Volt will not accept 32amps, rather it charges at something closer to 24amps. I know this because the display on the charger gives me information regarding the voltage, the amperage, total charging time, and total watts. I love this because now I can merely look at the display to determine how close my car is to a full charge without having to get in the car and start it up to find out.
The cord on this is long, a full 25 feet. That provides me the ability to charge my car in the driveway in the event that my garage stall is inaccessible.
The charger also came with a sturdy carry bag, not a cheap one that I expect to rip anytime soon. It also came with a hook to coil the 25 foot cable on as well as a mount to allow the charging connector to attach securely to the wall in my garage when it is not in use.
