MXL R144 Ribbon Microphone

Mounting screw is cheap and broke

I just opened this mix and went to screw it into my stand and the screw to tighten it broke off. The screw is stuck in the mount with no way to get it out. This is extremely disappointing. It's been in the box since July and now that I take it out in January it breaks. Lets hope support contacts me.

Quality frame and transformer, ribbon Needs to be replaced

For the price, this is a decent microphone, however, the ribbon sags quite a bit, and it's not corrugated properly. It will need to be replaced, Where the full potential of his microphone can be realized.

Worth 10 times it’s price!

Received my mic today. Boxed very well in perfect condition (in spite of some who have claimed ribbons are very fragile).

Received my ribbon mic today. What an awesome sounding mic. It brings out the strong bass in my voice and adds a silkiness overall.

Makes me sound like a million bucks! And in broadcasting, that’s very important.

The sound is large, spacious and sounds classy and “expensive.” What do I mean by that? You know quality (expensiveness) when you hear it, irrespective the price point.

Thank you for making me sound great!

GREAT on Guitar amps

For the price of a night out! Really, I could probably resell this microphone for twice the money. If your looking for an affordable ribbon mike, this is it. GREAT on Guitar amps.

Wow! I almost spent a lot more.... glad I didn't because this mic is perfect for my needs.

This Mic has enhanced my WebTV show by 100 fold. Incredible sound for such a bargain price. And not only does it sound good, but it looks good too. The mic has actually increased my presence on air....... Buying 2 more for guest mics.
